This Habit Burger is great. It can get crowded, but the line moves fast. You simply go to the counter, order your food and they will let you know when it is ready. They also deliver and you can call ahead for take away. The place is always clean and they do have tables to eat, but they don't have enough. The service is very nice and they usually get your order right the first time, but do check your bag. They have great burgers, fries, drinks and shacks. They also have chicken sandwiches and they have vegan burgers. I have never tried their vegan burger, but people in line have told me they are good. All of their food is very good and you will like it. It is something of a large chain now, I think owned by Yum!, which owns other fast food places. They used to have a "secret menu", but not so much anymore. They have the Santa Barbara Char (avocado, cheese, grilled onions on sourdough) and the Half & Half (fries & onion rings), but you can still customize burgers with additions like avocado, garlic mushrooms, or lettuce wraps. As soon as the tipping option showed on the screen -- it disappeared. My total was around $15. I knew that it was supposed to be around $13. When I asked the cashier why my bill was $15 and not $13 he replied that it was because of the tax. Once my receipt in hand --I realized that a $2.04 TIP was included in my bill. I had NOT agreed to that tip. I had NOT given a tip to the employee. This practice falls into the category of FRAUD. I asked for those $2 back. Another employee (wearing a blue shirt) said that he could NOT give me the money back. I said "oh yes you can". He replied that he would have to ask his manager how to refund me the tip. Several minutes passed and then the guy with the blue shirt handed me $2 in cash. I wonder how many habit customers have been GIVING AWAY TIPS to the employees without knowing it. few days ago, I went out to eat with my daughter at this place, and we were kindly assisted by Juan. He repeated our order back to us and was very polite. His colleague, who was standing right next to him, told us that he would bring my milkshake over to our table. We were nearly finished eating when Juan--who was walking around checking to ensure everything was in order and clean--noticed that the milkshake had never been delivered to us. He quickly went to make it himself and brought it over, offering us an apology. Meanwhile, his colleague--a short, Hispanic man seemed more focused on watching Juan's movements than on attending to the customers. This was the first time I had stopped into this Habit Burger Grill in Glendale. It's located in a pretty big plaza with lots of other retail stores. I've been to many other locations and this was another great restaurant of theirs. The store is closer to the front of the street next to the fountain. Compared to other stores It is a bit smaller but it does seem a little bit wider only because it's on the corner of this plaza. Be sure to sign up for their mailing list Char Club because they tend to have different promotions throughout the year. The char burger and the char burger with cheese are some of their staple burgers. The Santa Barbara char is a great twist specially with the sourdough bread and also the avocado. There's also different varieties here. Some of their family meals are a great variety that come with salad, fries or onion rings, and different burgers or chicken sandwiches. The parking situation can get a bit crowded here. The spots are little bit smaller and there are a good amount of cars here too so use your best judgment. read more
