After hearing so many people rave about In-N-Out, I finally decided to give it a try while running errands on Thursday. I ordered a double double for take-out. It wasn't until about 20 minutes later and I was already home that I opened the bag and realized I didn't receive a double cheeseburger at all. Instead, it was a single patty. It wasn't practical to drive back and return it so I'm posting my review here. Ridiculous.

I went to this In-N-Out location in Glendale recently. I dined in. I had a cheeseburger, fries, and a strawberry shake. The meal was fine. I like that the restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating and that it has a high-ceiling.

This has to be the fastest servicing In & Out I've been seen! From ordering to getting our food, it must of taken about 10 minutes and the restaurant was jammed packed. Service was excellent, the female employee that took our order was very friendly and helpful, I believe her name was Caydee. The food was on point and the restaurant was clean.

Undercooked, bland fries. The average size of fries 2" and under. Asked for ketchup and a giant handful of ketchup packets pit in the bag! Please ask "how many?" The single cheese burger,...Best one I've had from anywhere in a long while. I was very surprised by this because I'm used to the burgers being fairly UN-flavorful. The restaurant facility however, was not very clean. Tables greasy, dirty and spilled food on them. The floors were littered with straw papers and dirt. Very surprising based on the hype about this company.

Is this the best sight ever?!!

It feels a little strange to write a review about such a beloved restaurant chain--doesn't everyone already know In-N-Out? This particular location feels a bit larger than others, possibly because it's long and narrow rather than the usual square layout. Parking can be a bit of a challenge in the structure behind the restaurant, but it's free, and if you're willing to circle around, you can usually find a spot. As with most In-N-Out locations, ordering is quick, but since they make your meal fresh, the wait can range from 10 to 20 minutes. One minor annoyance is that due to its proximity to the Americana and other shopping centers, some seating is often taken by people who aren't eating In-N-Out but just socializing, which can be frustrating when I'm standing there, balancing my burger, fries, and drink. But oh, what a burger, fries, and drink! The menu may seem simple, but you can customize your order (grilled onions, lettuce-wrapped, etc.), and everything always feels incredibly fresh. You can even mix milkshake flavors! Although it's not perfect, I'd choose In-N-Out anytime!

Back in California and got the chance to finally try In n Out! This location is in downtown Glendale and I picked it given there is parking available in the nearby shopping mall. There was plenty of spots in the parking garage. When we arrived the line moved quickly and we ordered the combo, hamburger with fries (animal style of course) which came with drink. I got half iced tea, half lemonade. It was crowded but we were able to find a table and it wasn't too long of a wait for our order. The burgers were great, but a little on the dry side. As for the animal style fries I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce but the onions were a nice touch. Solid fast food meal but in my opinion I enjoy Shake Shack more than In n Out as the quality of the ingredients are slightly better and there is more variety of burgers on the menu.

I never knew there was an in n out by the americana but I was very glad to be able to get it when I was in the area! I was surprised bc this location doesnt have a drive thru but I didn't mind going in they have a little parking garage on the side with signs saying the spots are designated for in n out customers. it's a bit confusing since there's a parking garage on the left side and the right side when you turn in. I turned into the one closer to in n out and it was very crowded w cars waiting for others to leave. luckily I was able to snag a spot quickly as someone was leaving right when I entered! I went in and was shocked by how big the place was! this is probably the nicest in n out I've been in - it was very spacious and had lots of natural light (see pic). I ordered my usual (cheeseburger w grilled onions) and it was great as usual! I took it to go but I really wished I had the time to sit there although parking is limited to 30 mins in the garage directly outside.

Came here with my partner and it was my first time eating at this certain IN-N-OUT. I got a cheeseburger and he got a double double. He ordered fries and I ordered fries with grilled onions on top. I like to put grilled onion on top of fries and half spread, which is basically animal style fries without the cheese. Service was great, and the cashier was extremely kind when taking our order and also the man who cleaned our table before we sat down to eat was very kind as well. Our food came relatively fast for being IN-N-OUT and it was a great experience, especially eating inside. The drinks are self serve so you're able to get whatever drink you want which is great especially if you wanted to change your mind and have a different drink. Besides that I had a great time at this certain IN-N-OUT and also the atmosphere is super desirable especially believing that this is a tourist attraction. I highly recommend anyone in Glendale that wants a cheap meal and something yummy.

First time having In-N-Out (in Cali) and wow it really hits different when it comes out hot and fresh. We got the two double doubles and fries both animal style and I see what the hype is about. The criticism about the fries is valid and I can't imagine eating them without all the fixings. It's definitely a must try when visiting California.

I visited In-N-Out Burger twice during my vacation. I heard from my local friend that they have a secret menu that isn't show on the display. It calls "Protein Style" they use American lettuce wrap on a burger instead of buns. It is so good, not too heavy and that is why I have to go there a second time. Service is ok, I don't expect much from a fast-food place. It is a crowded place but both of times, I can find a seat to sit.

However, since we came at night time where most of them were closed, we got parking right in front. This spot is more of a take-away place, with 6 counter seatings indoors, and maybe 3 chairs right out front. This tiny burger spot seems to be run by just one person, so it helps that you can self-order at their kiosk. He was very attentive juggling between cooking the made-to order items, and check in on the costumers in case they had questions. After placing my order at their one device, it was roughly a 15 minutes wait. Here's what we ordered: CHEESEBURGER - $9.90 High-quality beef patty smashed with grilled onions, serviced on a toasted Martin's potato bun and topped with pickles and their fry sauce. I really enjoyed this rich tasting burger. I think that fry sauce was a huge factor...but also that soft bun...and that flavorful beef patty. I really enjoyed this. FRIES - $5.25 Golden Thing-Cut Fries. Perfect. I mean this was made to order so they were warm, crispy and so dang good! It's how fries everywhere should be! I was hoping to come back during my trip in LA, but it's okay, it won't be the last time I visit.

The crispy lace edges, the juicy center, the grilled onion, the slightly spicy sauce, the slightly sweet bun...all dreamworthy! Their sweet potato fries aren't all that great to look at, but omg, always perfectly cooked and salted! Perfectly complimented with the fry sauce. All that said, we were disappointed when we received our last order: 1. Packaging change (paper wrapped instead of cardboard box for the burgers) robbed the craveable edges of their crispness. Plus there was so much grease on the paper wraps it actually made it messier to eat than before. 2. The sauce has changed. The spice level increased (still not too spicy), but a side of sauce (which you pay more than a $1 for) is now sent in a premade branded packet. I have zero issues paying extra for a good sauce made fresh in-house, but instead of tasting like a fresh sauce made with mayo and spices, it now tastes of oil and spices and is not nearly as tasty. We noticed the difference on the burgers as well, so it seems like their sauce is all premade now and not nearly as good.

The Black Cow Cafe has been part of my life since my college years, so when I came here now, it was always filled with nostalgia and a slowed pace over a calming meal. Opened in 1994 by a father and son, they embodied the community's "Main Street USA" vibe with a neighborhood diner where everyone knew each other, and you were served a soothing homemade meal during breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Did this cafe leave me with warm memories of the past, or did I cower from time's inevitable changes!? PURCHASE(S) Green Milan 16floz Drink ($7.95): My body needed something "green" and this sounded interesting. There were no TVs nor could I recall any background music over all of the loud conversations. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was nice to revisit The Black Cow Cafe, and hoped to return soon. The menu was packed, the food was good, the prices were comparable, and the service was busy but manageable. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $69.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). While the chili is tasty and the service is excellent--the cashier was genuinely dedicated to guest satisfaction, and the food comes out hot and made-to-order in 5-10 minutes--it lacks the signature experience of the real OG Original Tommy's. Not huge at all and for the price, therefore not a good value. I spent $24 for the Chilicheese bruger combo with $1 upcharge for a bottled drink. The burger itself was decent, but they are way too tight with the chili portions compared to Tommy's, and the shoestring fries don't hold the chili nearly as well as the thicker-cut fries. I also found the specific combination of pickles, onions, and mustard on a Tommy's burger to be superior. The setting is purely a walk-up window with four outdoor benches, so it lacks the atmosphere of a traditional dine-in experience. Street parking during around 2pm on weekday was no problem. Got a spot right in front of the joint. If you do stop by, definitely give the chili a moment to cool--it comes out steaming hot! It's a solid, quick meal, but it hasn't dethroned the real OG, Original Tommy's, for me.
