I never thought I would be leaving a review for Five Guys on yelp... I typically would never rate fast food places at all, and much less with 5 stars... but... My boyfriend and I came here last night for dinner. It wasn't the first time I've had it. I've had it plenty. It usually always tastes the same and I'm always happy with it. We walked in last night and there was a decent crowd, staff was nice, burger was good and the fries were amazing as usual. I'm leaving this review because when I walked in last night I saw that Five Guys had added something to their menu that I've been saying they needed for YEEEAAAARSSS!!!! I've been waiting so patiently for Five Guys to get milkshakes... and the day has come!!!!! I'm not kidding, I died of happiness. They have a lot of flavors to choose from and the machine is right up front, you can see them mixing. I got chocolate. When they handed it to me my first thought was "wow, this isn't thick at all..." it seemed more runny and then I thought my happiness was shot. I took a drink, and what the heck, it was SO good!! It was everything this place needed to complete a burger and fry meal. My boyfriend is going to be so happy that I'm going to constantly bug him to come here more now... haha. Thank you Five Guys. I wanted a burger without a hassle so I tried the online ordering. It was great! Ordered with all the details handled easily, ketchup etc. Np problem. You can even choose a time to pick it up. I ordered 2 hours ahead of my pickup time. Just made the whole thing easy. I walked in and up to the counter where they were just finishing my burger & fries. In & Out in less than 3 min. Their burgers are good, you can build them any way you like without any hassle at all. I like that. Their fries are really good and you always get a ton of them. I don't care to eat inside. It's kind of like eatting at a bus station or a school cafeteria. Crowed, noisy with hard chairs, hard floors and a constant din of background noise & people. read more

This location is easy to find and right off the freeway going northbound on I5. Our cashier was competent and friendly. He took our order correctly and repeated it back. He offered recommendations when we asked and wasn't annoyed by any of our questions. The wait time was average. The food was hot, fresh and delicious as always. We tried the Cajun style fries for the first time. They had great flavor but they do have a kick. I will order them again but ask to have less seasoning next time. I'm giving 3 stars because we had to clean our table before we could sit down. There were lots of open tables and none were clean. I have more understanding for dirty tables when a place is super busy but there's no excuse for it when it's slow and there appears to be plenty of staff that could wipe them down. read more

My fiance and I decided to check out Five Guys tonight. The restaurant was packed and noisy, so we decided to take our order home. On the advice of a co-worker, we split an order of fries and each had a bacon cheeseburger. The food was still warm by the time we made it back to our home in Santa Clara. I thought the burger was very tasty, as did my fiance. Honestly, I was more impressed with this burger than I was with the one I had at In-N-Out a few years ago. We were divided on the fries; I thought they were meh, but he liked them. I like my fries super crispy and these are not, and the peanut oil adds a different flavor to them. I'm not really a fan of fries to begin with, though. I thought the price was a bit high for two burgers and an order of fries, but it was a big burger, and the order came up pretty quickly. Recently moved from California so we are used to going to five guys. Me and my family went to this location and we're very disappointed. The tables were messy and had food all over them. This place was awesome! I attended on their fist day open and have been back a few times since. There food has a very home-made flavor. Price is pretty sweet also. It reminds me of In-N-Out but the burgers are bigger and cost a little more. I love all the free toppings and the fries! Dicky joe's is gunna have to step it up to keep up with them. read more

Being a big In N Out fan I thought I might me a little biased. So I went there on 3 separate occasions before reviewing. 1. Burger was good. I had one that had all the condiments on it. Great flavor. Only downside was the fact that all the sides were on the bottom. The bun was soggy and the whole burger fell apart after the first bite. 2. The fries. Not bad. I've had both the Cajun and regular. If you like salt then you'll like the fries. It tastes like they dumped a whole salt shaker on them. Make sure you have water to rehydrate. Save yourself some money and order fries to share. 1 small will feed 2 people. 3. Parking is a pain in the A$&. I would still go back as long as someone else was paying for it. I placed and order online for pick-up. When I showed up, nothing was made and there were four employees just standing around. The food was on par with any fast food burger place. I have been seeing Five Guys pop up all over the country. I tried to avoid the hype as much as possible. The fam and I popped in over the weekend and were pleasantly surprised. If you like Dickey Joe's, you'll love this place. The burgers were excellent. It's cheap and good! They have tons of staff all over the place that are smiley and happy to answer any questions. They don't charge for toppings and they have cajun fries!!!! Can't wait to go back. Also, I know it adds to the ambiance, but they should get rid of the bags of potatoes or peanuts or whatever and add more tables. read more

Really a two star, but the fries do merit one more star. Some of the best fries I have tasted in the city. However, burgers seem to be the major emphasis of this place and the two I have had so far have been average at best. The burger I had today was rather soggy, and it is not due to my toppings because the only topping I had was jalepenos and this establishment uses fresh cut jalepenos rather than something out of a can. So my guess the sogginess must come from the grease burger itself and cheese. Maybe this was the intention... Considering the fact there were 55 people in the shop today (Yes I counted because I had to wait about 10mins to get my order and I was bored) I will give this place one more shot. We have not stopped here since their original open; years. Problem was at the time the place was so overpacked, wait time was horrible, and product was poorly prepared. Today, however, after deciding that we didn't want to run all over decided to give it a go. The service person was upbeat and energetic, he offered suggestions to help get through the order process. Burgers are customizable at no additional charge, and they offer bunless options as well. When we received our order, I was fully impressed with the meal. The burgers were well prepared and not prefab. My wife's bunless burger was served in a nice aluminum container making it much easier for her to eat with knife and fork. Honestly, great service and well prepared food with an average wait time; fully deserving of the 5 star review. Likely will become a potential regular stop for us. Thanks 5 Guys team! read more

Our Five Guys experience was good! Fast service, a good quality burger with toppings aplenty!!! Did I mention how good the fries were?!?!?! French fries, fresh cut, deep fried in peanut oil...FTW!!! Full of wonderful tasty flavors and not greasy at all! The burgers were good, but nothing to write home about. The toppings sure made it stand out more and best of all my burger had bacon, and sauteed onions in it and it didn't fall apart and disintegrate as I was eating it (*ahem* Dickies). Oh yeah did I also mention they had plenty of toppings to choose from unlike said previous burger establishment who will randomly run out of bacon or sauteed onions? Anyhow their burgers remind me more like my other favorite "fast/drive-in style" burger joint, In-N-Out. It's worth going even if it just for the fries! read more

We stopped here because they are whole 30 approved and my wife was hungry. I ordered a single burger with the fixins and my wife did too hit with a lettuce wrap. Neither of us were impressed. Five Guys is somewhere between fastfood and a sit down burger joint. There's no drive-thru and you shouldn't expect to just walk in and out either. Everything is made when you order. The fries are fresh potatoes fried in peanut oil. You can also get cajun style if you like a little heat. The burgers are massive and come with just about everything you could want. I had a bacon cheeseburger (which is actually a double) "all the way" (mayo, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, bread&butter pickles, grilled mushrooms and onions!) They also have other toppings such as A1, BBQ sauce and Jalepenos. They have shakes in several flavors and you can even add bacon to them if you like. They have a few kids items like little burgers and dogs but if your kid doesn't like those options they also have a grilled cheese sandwhich. All in all, it's a little pricier than most "fast food" burger joints but you definitly get what you pay for. read more

Was traveling from Seattle and decided to stop here for dinner. The place was very packed but I still waited patiently in line. Quality vs quantity, I rather come here than a fast food joint. I was in a hurry to get to my destination, due to the snow/ice and weather. I didn't really start eating my food until I was driving, but I received the wrong burger and my fry cup wasn't filled up all the way. :( I rarely eat here and I only come to Five Guys because of the fries and was very disappointed to get little to none. read more

First time in a Five Guys and it was a disappointment. I would rank it with Mcdonalds/Burger KIng, mediocre. Fries were way too salty, burgers had nice toppings, but were no better than okay. Soogy buns too. Prices are great, as they should be. I wanted iced tea, all they had was that powdery stuff out a machine. I had just walked in as a customer (a grown man) threw his fries on the floor was yelling at the manager. The manager explained that he had ordered his food wrong and she said she would be more than happy to accommodate for him not knowing what he ordered. He asked for a refund... the manager politely said that she would process the refund and after the man kept yelling and being incredibly disrespectful she told him that his tone was very disrespectful and she didn't deserve to be talked to like like. He proceeded to get in her face and ask for the manager (who he was talking to). The staff was incredibly accommodating and beyond respectful to this man who was absolutely insane. I was next up to order and she was so kind and polite. This was something I would never wish on a staff member of any business. I hadn't ever heard of a Five Guys until today when I tried it. And we only stopped because we were right next door. The burger itself is just okay. It is not good, not great, definitely not spectacular. It's also not a bad burger. It simply just is. The fries are okay, a bit soggy. The place was extremely crowded and I'm still trying to figure out why. Five Guys is pretty expensive too. My burger cost $7 and that's just the burger. Your fries and drink you have to purchase additionally. For our family of four our total was $30 and we didn't get any drinks. Also there isn't really a kid sized burger so if you're bringing a toddler (like we did) you're still spending $5 on their burger sans fries. Their marketing pitch as being a great local burger is a joke. It's not a local burger if they have nearly 1,000 locations. Don't think I'll go back. For a similar price and experience Dicki Jo's is much better. read more

To open, I'd like to focus on the positive. The bacon was crisp. Now for the bad news. Five Guys is a dystopian parody hell, combining all the homey charm of a storage warehouse with the cramped, sweaty amiability of the DMV. The acoustics were particularly well-tuned to provide the optimal amplification of the matron in the "I Have The P***y So I Make The Rules" T-shirt squawking at her eight-year-old. The walls were tastefully lined in stark, blood-red-on-white endorsements for the establishment, presumably in an attempt to convince customers not to flee before reaching the counter. The wooden chairs were helpfully provided with metal caps on the legs to maximize the tinny screech against the linoleum whenever anyone attempted to move. And I had plenty of time to observe the ambiance as I waited, rigid, attempting to touch nothing for fear of plague, for the alleged meal to arrive. After I heard my number called faintly through the din and wove my way through the labyrinth of screaming toddlers to claim my prize, I returned to find an employee attempting to clear away my drink. I suppose this earns them a small award for timeliness, however misplaced. The theme of misplaced virtue continued when I opened the bag to find that, in the spirit of Generosity, my cup of fries had been made to runneth over--all over the inside of the bag, meaning I had to dig through a crust of strange spices and a mantle of molten grease to reach the burger. This, apparently, is standard practice at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. I say strange spices not because they were unknown to me, but because somehow, despite having been described as "Cajun", they imparted no flavor whatsoever. The fries were tantalizing to look at, but soggy and grease-sodden in the mouth, with no hint even of salt; but afterward came a listless, mildly spicy aftertaste, reminiscent of water used to wash a basket of cayenne peppers, and, possibly, socks. After sampling half a dozen or so, and after discovering that even ketchup could not save them, I threw them away. They held nothing for me. And I like grease. After all this, you ask, how was the burger? Meh. It was all right. No better or worse than, say, Dairy Queen, which is to say that it was at the upper middle end of the crappy fast food flavor spectrum. Given that, the meal clearly did not belong at or above the high end of the crappy fast food price spectrum--which position, at more than ten dollars for a burger, fries, and a drink, it clearly occupied. But hey. The bacon was crisp. Right? read more

Lady who took our order made sure to recite it back to us to make sure she got it right (something the staff at my usual five guys does not do). Food was delicious as always. Burgers were bone dry, the frys which are their bread and butter are flavorless and soggy, the "cajun frys" taste like someone sprinkled picante beef ramen seasoning on the regular frys.
