Short: the burgers left ALOT to be desired. My party and I arrived around 3pm on a weekday afternoon. It was empty but a few customers in and out for to go. Cashier worker had a big smile and seemed friendly. I was really excited to try their burgers because they are grass fed patties and look very delicious and juicy from the pictures. I particularly enjoy mushroom and Swiss burgers because I feel like they're so hard to fine. Yeah they are such an amazing combination on a burger. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger without mustard. It was $7.75 for just the burger. Why was this burger so disappointing? A few points: - the beef patty (who should be star of the show) was so thin and flat!!, it was bland and sad. - Mayo and mustard on a mushroom and Swiss burger? The Mayo was fine. But to have a mushroom garlic sauce would have made it so much closer to an actual mushroom & Swiss - not enough grilled onions or mushrooms - not sure if Toxic Burgers always have crispy cheese? but mine tasted like old grill. With the burger, it really left so much to be desired because I felt I was mainly eating toasted bread with hints of mushrooms. I didn't really savor the beef and could just taste burnt grill cheese. All in all, nothing like the pictures. I also had sweet potato fries (about $5 for a small). They were yummy, salted enough, and very crispy. I wish the sizes could be different considering the cost. Toxic burger says they're 99% gluten free and uses rice bran oil. Overall, sadly I won't be coming back for burgers, that's for sure.. One day I might try their milkshakes and maybe their wings. We are in town to visit my partner's parents, we ordered takeout from this restaurant. Our total order with tip was $155 and some change. Both the 3 piece halibut fish and chips were missing the side and the tartar sauce. I called the restaurant to make it right. The only thing they would do is put my name on file for the next time I come in, I would get free dipping sauces?!?!?!? People work hard for their money, dropping $155 to have 2 meals missing half their items and the owner not care. To me is bad business. The sad thing is the food was really freaking good. I've been going to Toxic Wings since they opened their first location on River Road. Having grown up in the Great Lakes region of the US, I'm a long-time (i.e. 40+ years) wings enthusiast. When Toxic first opened up they were a bit "controversial" because they smoked their wings--which a lot of wings traditionalists frowned upon. I also smoke meats, and I found their wings to have good flavor, crispy, and at a reasonable price-point. Thus I'm sad to say that my last 4-5 visits there were VERY disappointing. Soggy, soggy wings, and no more smoked wings. Given the other available local options for good wings (Buffalo Wild Wings is my go-to now) it makes me sad to realize that I'll probably never order wings from Toxic again. Not sure what happened, but quality has gone way downhill, and prices have gone way up. The service is usually good, but the food is not anymore...... read more

We eat here so often they know our order by heart! Double Mushroom Swiss on a bed of lettuce, extra lettuce, no mustard, extra mayo, extra-crispy bacon x2, same only triple. Sometimes we have sweet potato fries, but only on special occasions. The staff are the best, friendly, attentive and they always get our order right. Black bean burger was heavy, bland , and cold. This is a copy of my review for the 11th St location, but, honestly, the quality and level of service are the same, so why change what ain't broke? Minor changes for location, i.e. no drive-thru at the River Road location, and eliminating a personal experience, but still! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh my gaaaaaawd. We love going to Toxic Wings.  My Celiac partner introduced me to this place when we first started dating, and it is wonderful.  They have dedicated gluten free fryers and their chicken and fries are all done gluten free. Which is amazing, since what we usually order are chicken strips.   Technically, they call them "bone-out" wings, but they're long like strips.  They come with a side of sauce and we usually bundle it with  fries. They have a number of sauces, but my partner's favourite is the raspberry habenero.  I've tried several but usually go back to the Spicy BBQ.  Honestly, I would go spicier but the main reason I don't go for any of the super spicy sauces is that the base tends to be made with Frank's Red Hot Sauce....and I personally detest Frank's Red Hot Sauce.  Like...a lot. And I can never remember which sauce comes with that as a base. But regardless, the spicy BBQ is great.  My one kid loves the sweet BBQ and my other kid prefers to get a cheeseburger. We live in Salem, so it's a little bit of a haul to get here, but often times on a Saturday or Sunday, we'll get up and head down to Eugene via 99 for a little drive, to grab lunch, and then will find something to do in the area.  It makes for a nice destination, with food we all know we're going to like. They're very conscientious about gluten contamination, which is important for us.  My son prefers a cheeseburger to the chicken, so they are always very careful to package the hamburger separate and make sure that there's no cross-contamination. I have no complaints about coming here.  The service is great, the inside is clean and kept up, the food is great, and my partner has never gotten gluten-sick from eating here.  I can't recommend it enough. read more

Stopped in here at the suggestion of my girlfriend who knows that I love me some wings. Normally I hit up BWW for this, but she thought I might enjoy a change of pace. We walked into Toxic Wings and were immediately greeted by a cheerful girl behind the counter who was more than happy to help us newbies decide about what to order. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient and had suggestions ready. Even though the original plan was to go in for wings, there were so many things that I enjoy there (burgers, pulled pork, chicken sandwiches, chicken salads, etc.) that I ended up opting for the BBQ chicken sandwich. My girlfriend got a burger and we ordered a basket of pulled pork fries to go. The place is very clean and well lit. You could sit on some barstools and watch the game if you wanted and there is a lobby area with large tables and a couple televisions as well (they had Monday Night Football on when we were there). The tables appear to be brand new and the lacquer on them is great and makes for a very vibrant finish. We wait for perhaps 4-5 minutes and our to-go order was ready. When we got home to eat, we were not disappointed. As it was explained to us by the girl at the register, the chicken and burger patties were a little thin. This made the toppings (such as grilled onions) tend to overpower the BBQ chicken in my sandwich. It was still VERY good and cooked well. My girlfriend said her burger was good, but it probably could have been better. Same problem with the toppings overpowering the flavor of the burger and cheese itself. The pulled pork fries were AWESOME. The BBQ sauce was the same as on my chicken sandwich with just the right mix of tangy and smokey flavor. it is basically just fries with some pulled pork pieces and drizzled with BBQ sauce. However, everything was the right mix and they were very good. I would probably cook the fries for another 20 seconds or so to crisp them up because you are putting BBQ sauce on them and that softens them a bit, but they were still fantastic. These items filled us up and cost around $21.00. I would absolutely go back and eat here again! The food is wonderful and the place looks great on the inside. The staff is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and when you combine that with good food, you get a lot of repeat customers -- like I will be. read more

I finally made it to toxic burger... now for the third time in as many weeks. I have to admit that it wasn't my choice to go here, I was dragged kicking and screaming (i.e. passenger in the lunch vehicle). I've just been wildly unimpressed with so many prior burger joint experiences that I'm going to call Kin to this place--perhaps wrongly/unfairly. Maybe it's a category error? But whatever the case, "good" burgers, in my subjective opinion, are hard to find... and the likes of in/out, killer, five guys, etc.. have all been as gross to me as your basic mcd's offering. So I was quite taken aback by toxic. I won't say it's up with the greatest burgers I've had. Not by a long shot. But I will say there seems to be a better quality of ingredients than others I've mentioned. So now I've happily slotted toxic as a very suitable burger for those times when I want a pretty solid (albeit tiny) burger, but have less time for being picky. The wings here are some of the best in town. I like that they don't toss them in the sauce so that they stay crispy and not soggy. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. The staff is great. I recommend getting a double on your burger patty since the meat is on the thin side. The bun is tasty and has a good bite to it, it holds up well to the burger.
