Their staff were so kind and warm, I feel like they truly care about the experience at the register as a genuine connection with their customers! My issue was the coffee and food, though. It's a small, quiet cafe with limited indoor seating but about twice as much seating outside (a dozen tables or so), which is nice in the warmer weather months. We stopped here to get a couple breakfast sandwiches. They were not bad; we ordered the Joan Jett sandwich with bacon added to it. It would have been better if the bacon was cooked; it was only about half cooked. They also sell coffee and tea, and they have some beer and stuff as well. Maybe even fill growlers? But definitely had cans in their cooler. They don't have online ordering, but they do have an order hotline you can call to place your order ahead for pickup. There's a small parking lot I. Finally got around to Moke's to try their vegan offerings. What prompted us was The Eugene Vegan Chef Challenge (https://veganchefchallenge.org/eugene/). We got the THE RBG - Sandwich: potatoes, grilled tofu, hummus, and the BIG PLANT BASED BOWL: GF grilled tofu, soyrizo, spinach, hummus, avocado, jalapeño sauce & salsa served over home fries. Both were excellent! We got the order to go, but the place looked very welcoming and cozy. We ordered by phone, and it was ready in the stated 20 minutes. We will definitely be back! And they have a small dedicated parking lot around back which was a plus. read more

Soooo good! I LOVED the bananarama waffle!! Absolutely delicious !! The bacon breakfast taco was also delicious. I also got an iced white mocha that was perfectly made. Not too sweet and not too bitter. Would definitely recommend!!! I went on a Friday and I didn't have to wait very long for my food maybe 15mins. Just beware of weekends because the wait for food on Saturday was 40mins and I couldn't wait that long. read more

Absolutely awful. They messed up all three items, the breakfast burrito tasted like something died or was rotten. They messed up both waffles forgetting ingredients and took back the syrup that we paid for. Coffee was awful and also tasted like it was expired. WAY overpriced for everything and quite literally the worst establishment I have ever eaten at or gone to. We will never be coming back and I warn the ones that are going here for the first time. read more

If you don't want to be tempted by bacon, do NOT go here in the morning. Their breakfast food is on point! We went for coffee, we're going back for breakfast. Coffee is solid, but more importantly, the outrageous line moved quickly and it came out fast. The atmosphere (when crowded on a Saturday morning) is upbeat and comfortable with a lot of seating for a small space. Looking forward to going when the weather is nice because outside is set up well too. Quality gluten free options, and friendly service, it's worth the decent prices. My vegan daughter picked this place for our one breakfast meal while visiting. The ambiance inside is nice, it's a popular place and our order taker was pretty cool. I asked what kind of animal the Moke mascot is and she thought it was some sort of sloth/Sasquatch character. Funny conversation. For breakfast, I had the Fantastic Four Tacos, my vegan daughter had the RBG sandwich and my other daughter had the the 9-5 savory waffle. For drinks we each had a different one including, a Lavender Latte, a Vanilla Latte, and a Caramel Latte. We all enjoyed our meals and I could've had more food for my money but everything was very good and flavorful. Moke's seems to have a big community involvement presence and that is a good way to do business. I will return here one day. read more

Cool spot! I love the art on the windows and the outdoor space. The cardamom orange latte was very good. I was hoping to do a little work from here but they unfortunately don't have any outlets to plug in to (there is one on the back wall but no chair to sit by it & it wasn't working when I was here)! First things first, the breakfast tacos are good! They are fairly reasonable and taste yummy! And that's where the goodness ends. I've been here multiple times with my adult kid. We love the food! BUT!! The service is absolutely terrible. Nobody is ever in a rush. And everyone seems confused. Drinks take forever. And are often wrong. Today all of the tables were dirty. Get the tacos to go! Came here for a light lunch with my partner. I got two breakfast tacos (one with eggs and potatoes, and one with eggs and soyrizo), and a golden chai latte. My partner got a breakfast sandwich that came with a sausage patty, egg, and pesto aioli. The staff were friendly. Food took a little while to come out, but we were in no hurry, so it was okay. The food itself was pretty good--the breakfast tacos are basic but tasty, although they benefitted from some hot sauce and ketchup. My partner's sandwich tasted good. The ambiance is nice--it was mostly full of students studying. It's a little funky (a little dirty) but I think it would be a great place to study, remote work, or have a laid-back coffee date. read more

I came here to study and work for the day and decided it would be a great place to work at. The ambiance of the place is alright. We were greeted with angry customers and the poor workers were having to deal with that. I had to wait about 10 minutes to order when it was my turn in line to order. It was busy, but didn't seem that busy. I tried their most popular breakfast tacos and they weren't that amazing. It's definitely something you can make at home and doesn't have anything about it that stands out like crazy. It was a little expensive for what it was, and it could be seasoned better. The staff seems to be talking bad about the customers out loud though - noticeably about the lady who came in earlier to make a complaint. Yum! I've driven by this place but have never stopped in. They have a pretty robust breakfast menu with interesting combinations. I ordered a golden chai (that's a chai with turmeric) and The Fran Leibowitz which is a sandwich that has a pastrami/egg scramble, cheese, Russian dressing, and hash browns. Both were delicious. They also had a sample of their gluten free waffles too which were so tasty! There were several items on the menu that I wanted to try so I'll definitely come back. I really wanted to try Moke's because I was intrigued by their breakfast tacos. I ordered one of each as well as the Caffe Miel, which is a latte infused with Honey and cinnamon. The latte was delicious. The breakfast tacos were good but they were very similar to something I could have just prepared for myself at home. I wonder if they are better to eat on site rather than getting them to-go, which is what I did. This looks like a good spot to try some remote work at. Although there are not that many tables available inside, they do have a big outdoor seating area. I would love to come back on a nice day, sit outside, and try their lunch menu items. Based on their social media, it looks like they often do fundraisers for local charities where a portion of their profits gets donated. When most places say "sourdough" it's really white bread. This place has really good and real sourdough. One of the tacos was the pulled pork one. Moke's just isn't what it used to be. Maybe the old employees don't work there anymore, or I just haven't gone on the days they're there, but both coffee and food used to be much better. My vanilla latte was just okay, and came in the wrong size. I added more sugar when I got home. I went home because I also ordered an Obi Wan sandwich, which used to be fantastic, but today I was handed the sandwich with untoasted bread and unmelted cheese. I grilled it myself since a bit of a rush had built up, and I felt bad asking. This is the second time I've gone in a few months, and I used to be a more regular customer. I don't really see myself coming back. There is definitely better food and coffee in the area! read more
