This is just down a short block from the Amtrak station (Apple Maps says 400 feet, but I feel it's more like 200) so it's a good place to wait for your train. They have both food and coffee and I guess champagne because they serve mimosas. Different seating area inside and tables and benches outside. Right now it's the middle of October and it's warm enough for me to walk around in a long sleeve shirt. This place is lovely.

I love this place! Such great place for brunch in Eugene! They have a great drink menu including alcoholic and NON. The avocado toast is divine! Let's keep them busy!!

Morning Glory was too crowded so I stepped in here for lunch and a coffee. The place has a nice vibe. The service was friendly and the food was good. I'm not a cocktail person but they have those, too. Seems like a great place to stop for a meal or drink if you are waiting for a train or just got off of one. The Amtrak station is only a couple of blocks away. One thing to note is that I visited on a Monday, and both Yelp and the hours posted on the front door state that they are closed on Mondays. Guess someone needs to update something!

I'm between 3 and 4 stars for Sip. I had been here before when it was a coffee place. The location is great, historical feeling and comfortable. We had 4 ladies for a brunch, and were sat on the far side of the "fireplace" at a small round table where two of us sat in regular chairs and two in lower arm chairs so that was kind of odd. And the table really wasn't big enough for all the drinks and food. Anyway, we ordered the mimosa sampler thing (I can't remember what they called it) but you get a bottle of champagne and two different juices to kind of make your own. So we ordered mango and pineapple to mix things up. What you get for the juice is a tiny little cream pitcher that holds not much more than a shot glass-worth of juice of each juice. So that was... disappointing. Really felt like you had to ration the juice. I had the simply green avocado toast and it was good, very good. Could easily make it at home. But it hit the spot. Service was amicable. There are just some things that could make your experience here a little more wow that they're lacking in.

I have had breakfast here three times. The food is delicious, and the staff has been awesome! Great little place can't wait to go back again!

This is a new addition to the 5th Street streetscape since last I was home. I spied it when driving around and it piqued my interest right away. Although some friends weren't able to make it work to visit, my mama went with me on my last afternoon in town. It's small inside--I can't remember what it used to be but I think it was a shop of some sort, which may be why it's a little more cozy as a restaurant. But they have several tables and a small counter area that looks south onto 5th. In the warm weather, they have a few tables set up on the deck outside; this is where we sat. I don't know if there's a ramp somewhere on the end of the deck, so keep that in mind; I had my daughter in her stroller so we lifted it up the steps. They don't have a huge menu but it's a nice one. I had the ricotta toasts because I wanted to try something that I wouldn't normally and haven't had before. It was different than something I've had for brunch before and I might order it again. I also would be interested in the BLTA sandwich or one of the avocado toasts, but they were out of avocado when we were here about an hour or so before the kitchen closed. My mom ordered the build your own French toast and raved about it. She mentioned it had been a long time since she'd had French toast and that hit the spot. The mimosa I ordered was a yummy special with blackberry for spring, but their mocktails looked fun as well and I would have gotten one if they hadn't had the blackberry mimosa. I also ordered an egg for the baby and some bacon, and I might skip those next time because it felt a bit expensive (two slices of bacon for $4, and the egg was $3, I think). For dessert, they gave us lots of options. Apparently they're known for their special cookie (salted caramel or something? It sounded delicious) and that was tempting, but once she said they had creme brûlée all hope was lost. If you tell me you have my favorite dessert, I can't hear anything else. They had two kinds; ube lemon and Thai iced tea. I couldn't decide so obviously we got both to share. That was the right choice, because both were delicious. I've been skeptical of ube because my first taste of it was in some sort of drink that just turned me off, but I need to get over that first impression because this was really good. I didn't taste much lemon but it was tasty nonetheless. And the Thai iced tea I honestly didn't expect to like because I'm not a tea drinker, iced or otherwise, but it was delicious and if I had to choose a favorite, this might be it. The service was great. Our meal didn't take long to arrive, and I didn't feel neglected. I am already planning to visit again when I'm home next time, and I'm really glad that Eugene has this fantastic little cafe. #1800 September 25, 2024

    The "Sassy" cocktail
    Megan S.

I visited Sip recently with a couple girlfriends, looking for a nice place to chat and have a drink to catch up. Sip offers a great location for this. The interior is a bit funky and cozy, mostly smaller tables. We sat in the back and at the time (6:30pm on a Thursday) were the only ones there, which I found a little strange for it to be completely empty at this time but at that same time we didn't mind. Sip has an extensive list of cocktails, mocktails and sparkling wines. It was really hard to make a decision and I finally came to ordering the "Sassy". I think it's kind of their champagne take on a spicy margarita. Unfortunately, I was not a fan, though I still drank it. The hint of spice in the drink was welcomed but the flavors just seemed really muddy and like I was drinking pineapple juice that had gone off. The drink description states it has guava puree in it, which is what truly drew me to that one but it wasn't noticeable at all. If I visit again, is definitely be choosing something else! After each ordering a drink at the counter (3 total), we sat back at our chosen table to talk and wait....and wait.... The three cocktails took a surprisingly long time to arrive to us, considering we were the only patrons there. The first was dropped off and then another 5-7 minutes went by, then the next and another long wait and then the final one. I personally took note of the extended wait time, although I can't say that it negatively affected our visit too much as we weren't in a hurry and had lots to talk about. I didn't check out any of the food options this time, but I'd be willing to come back and see what this brunch is all about!

Came across this photo I had saved from my quick trip to Eugene last year and I cannot believe I am still thinking about this avocado toast! I stopped into this adorable champagne and dessert bar during my limited time in town and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The avocado toast was so fresh and flavorful with the perfect mix of textures and that little drizzle of balsamic just took it to the next level. Everything about this spot was so charming and cozy and now I am seriously dreaming about going back just for this. Definitely a must visit if you are in Eugene!

One of the best places to get some creative drinks and food! It's pretty laid back and such a cute little stop! Worth checking out if you're in town.

I came here the other day for my friends 21st birthday. Such a cute spot. There was a bit of a wait since we were a big group. I would recommend coming with no more than 3 people since it is a small restaurant with limited seating. There was a large variety of drink offerings: cocktails (alcoholic and non alcoholic) , coffee, mimosas, champagne, etc. We didn't try any of the alcoholic beverages this time but enjoyed some lattes off the coffee menu instead. The food we got was just the right size and everything tasted great. I love the avocado toast, the bread was so soft and delicious, tasted like it could have been homemade, and I loved the balsamic, feta, and tomato's. Great combo. My friends said the croissant on the breakfast sandwhich was really good too. This place is a bit pricy but it's definitely worth it for the quality. Fun for a special occasion.

    Perfect Sunday morning at SIP

I just had the most delicious avocado toast and I need to talk about it. I have been a fan of SIP for a while. I love the interior aesthetic and really appreciate their large mocktail menu. One of my favorite spaces for afternoon remote working or hang. But this past weekend I stopped in during early bunch to grab a bite to eat as I plan out the upcoming week. I ordered the yaaaaaasss avocado toast just because I knew it would be fun to say. However, this was SO TASTY! Definitely my favorite thing off their brunch menu so far. Avocado, got cheese, cherry tomatoes, basil, paprika, and micro greens stacked on top of garlic bread. Yes, it's a lot of components but it all worked so well together. The star of the show was the reduced balsamic vinaigrette that they drizzled all over. I wanted to lick the plate afterwards. It was so good.

gluten free peach-goat cheese-fig jam "flatbread". Pathetically anemic with 2 tiny pieces of goat cheese and 2 slices of canned peaches.

I went back here after a previous stellar experience just to be sorely disappointed. It was my birthday and we made reservations for a Friday early evening table. When we arrived there were 3 other people in the dining room, and 2 people helping behind the bar/kitchen. We ordered our cocktails and flatbreads (at the counter, where you pay as well after ordering) and then waited 45 minutes for our cocktails to arrive. Yes, that was 45 minutes.... I went back to ask if she was making them yet and she said she would get right to it. I noticed that the other table with ladies were now with 6 people and they had all their cocktails made and on the table while we were STILL waiting. They were unable to make the flat breads with pear and goat cheese and fig, because they were out of pears, as we were told about 20 minutes after ordering it. Ok, so we substituted the flatbread and had peach put on it. When they finally arrived, it was almost an hour at this time and after I asked several more times if our order was coming , they arrived. It was the wrong flatbread, undercooked, with 2 canned peach slices and a tiny minuscule bit of goat cheese. Terrible, terrible. We had an event coming up at the Hult Center so we reserved a table to not have to hurry thru dinner. But unfortunately we still had to gulp our cocktails down, stuff some of the dinner in our mouths and hurried to leave. What a total disaster. One male waiter arrived later and he tried to help out and he was absolutely wonderful, friendly and getting us boxes right away. However, by that time the service had been so miserable already. When the waitress finally delivering our drinks, she just set it down on our table without saying anything and without looking at us. Sorry, I would like to like this place and I would understand our bad experience better if it would have been busy or if it was a weird hour to come in, but not on a non-busy Friday evening. The one star is for the friendly waiter, otherwise I would have given none if I I could.

I am so excited to be able to visit Sip! I love a good champagne bar and this business is definitely fulfilling a big need for the city of Eugene! Sip is located in the old Sanctum Cafe spot across from the old Oregon Electric Station. Pay street parking and a pay lot just around the block. Today is the first day of them serving alcohol and I am very excited to be their first pour! They tell me they're going to be doing evening hours (5pm - 11pm) in the future as well as mimosas for brunch. They have more than just sparkling wine, they have legitimate champagne here too. They also are still offering coffee in the morning. Can't wait to see Sip grow! This will be added to my must visits when I come to town each quarter!

After multiple seafood meals, I was considering a "turf" meal. When I asked the server about the Curry Scallops and the Chicken Marsala, his response to the Marsala confirmed my decision. I was already leaning toward the Marsala based off another photo on yelp. I was not disappointed! The chicken breast was aggressively seasoned in a perfect way. Leaving the chicken on top rather than smothering it in Marsala sauce meant the texture in the chicken stayed slightly crunchy the entire meal. Although there weren't nearly as many mushrooms on my dish as the other photo, but had a great mushroom flavor that went so well with the chicken and mashed potatoes. The drinks were so good there was not one drink we got that we did not love. Lots of cute decor. Tons of seating. The pool table was free to use which was nice. Gotta love a good Tiki Bar!…read more We had an hour to kill before an appointment so we Yelped unique bars in the area and found The Monkey's Paw in Springfield. The profile looked pretty cool so we decided to go there for a drink. Once inside, it was pretty dark which is typical for a Tiki Bar. The decor was very good and there was a lot of it around. My fave was the mermaid skeleton above our seats. The drinks options were plentiful and they even had jello shots for a bargain price (we had a few of these for good measure!). I had The Monkey's Paw classic drink and another in our party had The Invisible Man drink. Each was lovingly prepared by the bartender who was super cool with the prep and conversations we had with him. I loved walking around and looking at all the decor on the walls and ceiling. There's a lot to see. There's even a door that leads to a courtyard with several food trucks ready to serve you. There is a stage near the entrance for bands and a small dance floor. I would love to return one evening to check out the atmosphere and do a little boogeying! Give this place a try. It's a well done Tiki Bar and one of the better ones I've been to.

At night, from a distance, it was a shocker to see that this place was open and here. DRINKS: 7/10 SERVICE: 10/10 AMBIANCE: 10/10 What we ordered: Lemon & Ginger Mule Key Lime Rum Cocktail DRINKS: 7/10 The Lemon & Ginger Mule was fascinating and part of their Shrub specialty menu, which is a sweet-and-tart drinking vinegar made from fruit, sugar, and vinegar, created to preserve fruit. Definitely an acquired taste, but I loved the creativity behind it. The Key Lime Rum Cocktail was bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, with a tropical twist that was smooth and flavorful without being overly sweet. SERVICE: 10/10 The bartender serving us was friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated how they explained some of the more unique cocktails and helped me pick something adventurous. She was a vibe for sure and seemed to be vibing with the other customers as well. AMBIANCE: 10/10 Crow & Cart nails that "handcrafted neighborhood bar" feel. The space is full of character with warm wood tones, plants, and personal touches everywhere. The vibe is cozy and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to relax. There is also outdoor seating. If you're in Eugene and want something beyond your average cocktail bar, you should give this place a try.
