They have a drive-thru that was pretty busy. Environment: Walking in, the place was not too busy at the order counter. Restrooms are located towards the right of the building and near the tables with the rounds seats. We placed a mobile order and got our food shortly after. Tables were clean. What was ordered: - 10 piece Chicken Nuggets (yummy with sweet n sour sauce) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Food was pretty standard. The place was clean and the crowd was not bad. This was our first pit stop on our road trip to Seattle. They have those kiosks where you order from. My husband was not going to stand there and do that so he ordered separately at the counter from a real person. Myself and the children decided to move into the future and ordered at the kiosk. The key to any good fast food place is how busy they are. This place is busy. The food was fast and fresh. Its Oregon so the service was very nice. We sat inside and took up 3 tables. Lots of seating for everyone. I had the sugar free vanilla latte. I loved it. I am a McDonalds coffee fan and this was pretty good. I d been going here for many years.. maybe 15 plus. Worked several times as I worked at Coburg became a morning spot for coffee and a sausage egg McMuffin. Many, many stops.. Years ago a curly haired kid started working the drive thru cashier spot. Always smiling , pleasant, if something was wrong, apologized and corrected it. Today I go thru the drive thru way early!! 5 am. A few hick ups. Oh yeah almost same order. Coffee, egg, sausage McMuffin and as a nod to my age-- an oatmeal! As the window employee pleasantly takes care of a hiccup who do I see over his shoulder but a curly haired adult dressed as a manager. Yep it's him. He is the shift manager !! Training the crew member at the windows to be a shift manager. That is exactly why I think McDonalds does an excellent job of training,, teaching and sometimes retention. In many ways he is an American success story! Work hard, be kind, show up, do the hard things!! One Big Note to McDonald's!! I bet the franchisee doesn't want to loose this guy!! Today was my son's birthday and we wanted to get some of the Minecraft toys and they wouldn't let us purchase them separately when every other McDonald's toy that they've ever sold in my entire life, they've allowed us to buy them separately. So when I asked the manager about it they were rude and still did not sell me any toy whatsoever. i went to this mcdonalds at night and ordered a meal and when i got home i realized the order had more than one missing item. i immediately went back to see if they could refund or replace the missing item i brought the receipt and bag of food as is. I ordered an egg McMuffin meal and sausage egg and cheese biscuit meal. I received two sausage meals that were both on muffins not biscuits. The receipt reflected the correct order but I received complete incorrect order. Plus, I was the only one at the counter placing an order. Why did it take 12 minutes to get the food? Also, the person who gave me the order forgot to give me the two coffees? How are these mistakes being made when nobody's even in the restaurant? I love McDonald's but the one on Gateway has the worst service. they always get my order wrong and they have also gotten my coworkers orders wrong multiple times. It's a running joke at work and we tell everyone else not to go there unless they want an incorrect order. Just had an order delivered from Grub Hub, and we were missing half our food. The 10-piece nugget had 7 nuggets in it and no sause. The frys were cold, and everything looked old . Like they just didn't want to cook more than what they had on the warmers. Called the store and spoke to a man claiming to be the manager. It sounded like he was on drugs and said he didn't care call grub hub and report it... Had to use their app to order/pay for curbside which is fine however the app does not allow anyone except the phone user who ordered to 'check in', meaning that they have tracking on your phone. I could not check in for my husband when he arrived, kept saying I wasn't there. I realize this is an 'app's issue but after he showed them our order #- they brought it out- sealed nicely, clean presentation- got home, wrong order/food. So we had now open food in the house, cant return it. Double check your order at restaurant!! What we got was def not for us! Frustrating. They should bring back Ronald for this location; he'd make a great representative, since it seems like this location is run entirely by clowns. Well, what can I say. Due to staffing issues, only the drive-through was open. I walked there, so I walked through the dive-through. This was a little fun, but also not very much fun breathing all the cars' exhaust on a hot day. The line was long and slow. And they they didn't even get my order right.
