The best thing about Five Guys isn't even the burgers--it's the FRIES. Don't get me wrong--the burgers are delicious. But their fries are some of the best I've had in recent memory; they leave the skin on so it basically tastes like you're eating a crispy baked potato. You can just taste how fresh the potatoes are. The first time I came in I actually saw a sign saying, "Today's potatoes are from (insert some town in Idaho.)" Last night was my first time at Five Guys. There was one at school, but I never bothered to go. My boyfriend dragged me here after a horrible day. The only vegetarian options are a veggie sandwich and a grilled cheese, I went with the latter. He got a burger with a whole mess of things on top. Our cashier was really helpful with my nagging vegetarian questions and was really nice. The fries are really good - some crispy, some soggy, all salty. Flavorless, overcooked burgers with tons of toppings. You won't be hungry after you eat here though. They give you a ton of fries which aren't bad. I know there is nothing good to eat around here but I won't go back. Edit--I went back here for the first time in a couple of years. Ok every time I've come here they messed up my order! The first time I let it go. The second time I called and the manger was nice and offered me a free meal. The next time I had to watch them and if I didn't say anything they would have messed it up again. And the last and probably the last time I go here they messed it up again they put bacon on one but not the other and they do charge extra for bacon so thanks again 5 guys! Normally I do not like to complain I have worked in the service industry and we all make mistakes but come on !! Everytime. The food itself is good. I like the fries wish they were crispier. All I can say if every time I come into this particular Five Guys I'm amazed at how consistently friendly the staff is. I have been coming here for years, can't say I know anyone by name but the staff here is as pleasant and approachable as any fast service restaurant I have ever been to anywhere in this country. I have been going to Five Guys since the company was restricted to Northern Virginia. The staff here on the night of March 21, 2019 a little before 9 PM was engaged with the guests in such a way that was clear to me that they took pride in not only representing Five Guys but also in paying great attention to the details of each order they were preparing. Similar to most other Five Guys I've been to in Queens and the city in terms of menu options, open assembly line view, and of course the free peanuts. The wait is a bit longer than usual even on a decent Sunday afternoon. Only two things I didn't like about this location is the greasy feel of the floors (it was slippery) and despite the foil wrapper that I usually eat my burger in, the foil was greasy on the outside too. But quality wise, probably will stick to the other chain that also serves milkshakes...and at a lower price too. read more

I liked that they fried everything in different oil. I didn't try the fries but if I do, and it's good, then I'll probably change my rating to a 5. The only reason I give it a four is because they didn't have a good vege option. I ordered a vege sandwich which I thought would be coming with a patty, but there was no party. Instead, they gave cheese, onions, and mushroom. Although, it tasted delicious. I liked that they had peanuts for customers and the decor is nice. They're good. They're a smidgen better than the Golden Arches and BK. But like every other fast food place out there, you're going to really feel it afterwards. Super greasy and proud of it because they give you the cheapest brown bag out there so that the oil seeps through. I think it's a satisfying burger, but the Cajun fries keep me coming back. Everytime I eat here I like the burger more and more. The service is fairly quick and they have never gotten my order wrong. The burger is juicy and flavorful and those fries are nice and crisp and salty. I usually get the little cheeseburger with whatever toppings I feel for at the time. I do like that a majority of the toppings are free. Hubby usually gets the cheeseburger and we split a regular fries and the fries in the bag. I'm not crazy about the location which is right off of Woodhaven Blvd but I won't complain. For 2 people it's about 20 bucks for 2 burgers, fries and 2 drinks. Not bad at all. read more

What I really like about this place is that all toppings are FREE! That's right, all toppings for FREE! I really love the A-1 sauce on my burger. And the fries! They give you a small cup of fries and then dump MORE fries into the bag! I would say that it is worth your money. And its not too expensive. The workers there are also very nice. Pretty funny too. THE PROS: Like the location. Parking is easy. The guy taking my order was nice and friendly. Never had problems in the past either with customer service. But I'm writing this review from a recent takeout order that bugged me enough to point out some issues. Basically, I ordered two regular fries, and as we waited for our order, we were watching as the guy assembled the cups of fries for the orders. I noticed that he was using the smallest size cups for all the fries, despite the fact that he was visibly reading the orders. When he told us our orders were next, we watched carefully to see if they would give us regular sized cups for the fries, but they just took the filled small ones. My only assumption that they were too lazy to reach over and take two regular size cups! That's why they're near the fry station anyway! Come on! When my husband asked if those were the regular size, the guy's eyes kind of widened and there was a slight hesitation before he said yes.. Come on, we aren't stupid -- there were three different stacks of cups, in ascending order, so it was obvious he was lying. But we didn't want to press it, and he added an extra scoop of fries (even though they do that for everyone regardless). Overall, it's not a huge deal, but it irked me because I am paying for something I'm not getting. And something that could have easily been fixed, but they didn't want to be bothered. It was around 2:30 -2:45 on a Thursday afternoon --they weren't exactly overflowing with customers either to take a few seconds to switch cups. It's the principle of the matter, not the extra $2.60 I threw away. For two cheeseburgers, and two regular fries, it was close to $28 bucks, so I knew it would be expensive going in. It's why I don't come here often, because while the burgers are good, it's not thaaat good either. If I do come back, I would make sure to be firmer with what I am getting and paying for. Peanuts not freshly roasted and salted I still ate everything though! I'm still full!!! I think for $10 for a burger and regular bottomless drink (I didn't pay for the fries-I shared my friends), places like the cheeburger Cheeburger, austin ale house or dirty pierre's are far superior and you have the full restaurant experience. Great burgers, but not the best. Patties are not as juicy and thick as I like in my burgers, I usually have to get the full sized burger vs. the jr burgers. Never order anything larger than regular sized fries or drink, since their policy is a double serving and there are free refills on drinks. This is not quite a fast food joint, so there is a bit of a wait on your order, but it's worth it! Free peanuts, as in all Five Guys.
