This location was pretty quick with the service and the food was good as always! They have a parking lot, but if you're not on the service road for Woodhaven you will pass it. Came here tonite for burgers and fries. They messed up my order with my friend's order. So we ended up having to switch some of the toppings we asked for with each other. it was my first time here and little did I know that the cheeseburger has 2 meat patties as opposed to the little burgers which have 1. It was extremely filling and yums. Also, the amount of fries they gave us could literally feed a village so if you arent a big french fry fan, i suggest you go for the regular order and even then, theyll give a whole lot. This review is not about the staff itself because they are always sweet and kind.. But about the fact that this location has NOT had Air Condition in OVER a month! I walked in again this past week and again the AIR is not working. It is 90 Degrees outside and inside it was well over 110. It is not acceptable to have people working over hot griddles, dripping in sweat, over consumers food! I was going to write off this place as just okay, but customer service (upper management) really does a GREAT job at making sure their customers are satisfied!! So 4 stars for you manager at the Woodhaven location! -- summary of what happened to me: I made my burger choices (lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce...), but what I got was just a regular burger w/ meat, tomatoes, pickles, and lettuce. I didn't feel like complaining, so I ate most of my burger, but then the manager came by our table and asked how everything was. I said honestly, its my first time here and they got my order wrong....he persisted to get me a new burger! So I received a fresh burger w/ the right toppings, it was AWESOME. McD's, Burger King, Wendy's is absolute JUNK compared in the arena of customer service, so kudos Five Guys! Plus I love that they have fuze green tea on tap, so you can refill as much as you want! Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced! The staff is unprofessional and rude! My food showed up cold! Soggy! Oh and it was the wrong order! When I called to ask what happened the girl on the phone had a nasty attitude! I asked for her name and the name of the manager on duty and she told me she's not here and hung up with out telling me her name! I called back numerous times with no answer. Great location with a huge parking lot shared with home depot. I tend to order on the app ahead of time which is great because everything but my fries are ready (they give it to you when you arrive so they're hot). The staff at this location are great. I like Five Guys. The burger is juicy and savory. The fries are just so damn good, especially Cajun-flavored fries. You must come here to experience "burgergasm" that Marshall experienced when he got his first burger in the city. The reason why I'm giving this place only 4 stars instead of 5 is the interior design of the burger joint. I cannot believe some of the praise given to this franchise but it comes mostly from drunk yuppies with compromised taste buds, kids 'feenin' to be a part of the new in thing, DC politicos burning our tax money, or burger lovers with no cooking skills. So in my book having grilled, fried, baked, broiled, bought and eaten thousands of burgers in my lifetime, they don't count. So anyway, for the true burger connoisseurs out there, here is my two cents. After driving around looking for this location, (it is near the Home Depot on Woodhaven near Myrtle Ave but can be easily accessed by driving to the back of the Trader Joes parking lot), I finally found it. It is relatively new and for shoppers may be a welcome addition to this shopping destination. The location is very clean and the staff is as friendly as can be expected. The free peanuts in a barrel while you wait for your order reminded me of a Logan's Roadhouse but are not really a selling point when I am looking for a quality burger. The burgers come in two sizes, large and small, the difference mainly being two meat patties vs. one. I guess that justifies their higher prices for a burger because traditionally small means "slider" size, which is not the case here. (For this price point, go to Jackson Hole.) So if you have kids, make sure they are hungry or take them to the "golden arches" as Five Guys is geared to make the owners money and is not really family friendly. The meat is cooked medium well and is moist and flavorful. The bread is of poor quality and gets soggy due to the house sauce (burger juice) so it doesn't hold up well. If you like wet bread sandwiches, then enjoy because it is the norm with Five Guys. All toppings are free which is a welcome change for New York (anything free, really). I got tomato, lettuce, cheese and the mushrooms which were cooked well but too damn small to enhance the flavors. I also got raw chopped onions which I didn't ask for. The burgers are cooked in peanut oil so if you're allergic to peanuts be forewarned. The fries are cooked fresh, somewhat (over) crispy and salted a bit too much but ketchup will cure that. Overall, it is a tasty, tender burger with wet bread. (Bring your own bread.) I spent $20 for 2 burgers (one large, one small), 1 order of fries and 1 large soda (with refills). Kinda pricey when you have so many vastly superior burger choices around. Any local Greek diner will do! So Five Guys go back to DC 'cause NYC burger joints rock and if it wasn't for critical mass marketing strategies you guys couldn't survive here. read more

the burgers are ok. nothing life changing about the burgers here folks they are better than the burgers you will get at a diner or a chain restaurant like apple bees but that isn't saying much. they will put condiments like mustard, pickles, bbq sauce and bacon on your order and the stuff is fresh (in the sense it hasn't been sitting around since last thursday.) the french fries are disgusting in this place. i think they fry them in potato oil or some nonsense. avoid ordering them at all costs. they are so greasy that by the time you get the bag home the potato grease has eaten away a hole in the paper. they also like to smash the fries in a paper cup which means all the fries at the bottom are drenched and soft and taste like licking a greasy comb. they do give you a lot of fries though. a small fry here is about the size of a large fry at burger king or wendys. i think they also sell hotdogs and knishes but why? the place can get crowded but the staff usually gets the orders out the door quickly. the funny thing is they seem to change the staff over every few months. i have never seen the same people working in the place. plenty of parking in the lot next door so don't sweat parking. they also put out little cardboard boxes of unsalted peanuts. i would avoid them at all cost. don't even look down at them. i have witnessed some dirty digits finger f*ck the box just to get one peanut and then leave this bacteria filled petri dish for the next slob on line. i have also seen filthy children who were left to run amok in the restaurant, by bored mothers spit the peanuts back into the box like it's a cute little game after picking them all up in their sticky little fingers and shaking them in their sweaty little paws like dice. pass on the nuts folks read more

Its an overated place. It won so many awards, but not all Five guys taste the same. The Burgers are like regular burgers you can get in any place, except the unlimated amount of topings.( which adds to the flavor) The burgers are overpriced. The burgers are just normal tasting burgers. But!! The fries are delicious. The fries are crispy, tender and has a great taste to it. Oh Five Guys, you are overhyped. I went in here being told, "Your gonna be disappointed". I may not have left completely disappointed, but not wowed either. The highlight was sneaking out with a bag of those peanuts. Burgers are only cooked well-done, okay, but really, 6.00 for a burger, they should distinguish between regular and little. Another thing, they should add some salt and pepper to the beef before cooking, because it was bland. The grilled onions were also lacking flavor. Fries were good, but kind of expensive. Hot and fresh, but there was just a bit too much salt. The fact that it was empty on a Friday is evident that they probably don't do great business either. I'm a big fan of Five Guys! Especially their fax in order sheet for delivery, this way you know for sure that nothing can get messed up with your order. The burgers are so juicy, cooked to perfection. As someone who likes spicy foods, I don't know where they get those jalapenos from, but HOLY SHIT are they hot!! Plus you get all the peanuts you could carry out, which is a good way to counter the heat from the burger. I went to Five Guys last night. Love their burgers and fries. This five guys is very close to home. My complaint every time I go to this five guys whether summer or winter either the air conditioner is blasting or a cold air fan. I understand the staff is hot behind the counter, but customers should have their meal comfortably. Last night it was 17 degrees and the fan was blowing cold air as I looked around every single customer was eating while wearing heavy coats while the staff worked in short sleeve tee shirts behind the counter. Satisfied from start to finish of the whole experience. You walk in and there are fresh peanuts in the shell by the door. You can take as many as you want. This is a plus because we seldom buy peanuts au naturel anymore. It has a great taste that you don't get with the ones that are shelled and processed. Second, the fries are cooked in peanut oil--healthy, and delicious. No need to worry if you have a peanut allergy (to my knowledge)--my gf has severe peanut allergies and can't be near an open jar of peanut butter without her throat starting to itch, but she could eat the fries that are cooked in peanut oil and not have a problem. Now, the main attraction--the ALL AMERICAN BURGER! What I love about this chain is that it's TRULY DONE YOUR WAY. NOT like Burger King who claims to let you have it your way, but you're limited. You can order a "regular" which is two patties and a "little" which is one. I'm a big guy and I'm good with the little, but I've had the regular too and it wasn't overwhelmingly large. You can make it either a cheeseburger or a bacon cheeseburger. Now here comes the kicker---you can have whatever amount of toppings you like that are available and it's no additional charge. You can have pickles, fresh jalapeños, fresh onions, fried onions, sautéed mushrooms, green bell peppers, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, bbq sauce, hot sauce, mustard, A-1 sauce, and relish. You really do get the most bang for your buck. The burger is delicious, cooked well, fresh condiments. All this and the burgers are fresh, never frozen patties. The fries are also fresh cut potatoes and not frozen--you can get em regular or "cajun" which is jus regular sprinkled with cajun seasoning. You can get the small or large fries. But if you get the small, they just throw extra fries into your bag anyway (everytime I'm there) and it adds up to what a large would've been. Five Guys is a bit on the expensive side, but their food is pretty good and I am always a fan of places that provide malt vinegar to go with their fries. They give a ton of fries too so the regular (smaller size) order is more than enough for two people to share. The burgers are McDonald's size but you can add whatever toppings you want for free, which is pretty cool as well. This location has a surprisingly large eating area compared to the other one I've visited in the city. A nice alternative, I think, if you're here and not wanting Wendy's or McD's down the street. read more
