I called Fitzhauer when I was considering an exterior renovation of my home. They sent Dave out to talk to me about windows, insulation, and exterior coating. Dave went over the color options with me and showed me a few examples of homes like mine that had just been completed. After Dave and I spoke and agreed to move forward, he sent Neil out to walk the job and go over the fine details. Neil explained that doing the wall insulation with the exterior coating was the way to go so that there were no visible patches and everything would look flush. This review is a few months past due. I reached out to Fitzhauer at a time when we were just being buried with issue after issue on our remodel. We needed to do siding but I was very hesitant in starting a new project. I was connected with arren and he was great. He has a calm demeanor, provided lots of reassurance, followed up consistently, and when issues came up (our house is old and turns out poorly constructed) bent over backwards to solve them. Our siding came out great and really improved the look of our house. The installer Abbi was also great. Our house I'm sure was not the easiest but he worked fast and clean. After carefully perusing many contractors online, we settled on Fitzhauer due to the meticulous work evident from the many photos on Yelp and other sites. The project included roof replacement, removing old siding, sheathing the house in plywood and Tyvek wrap, new Anlin windows, front and rear entry doors, Hardie Board siding, gutters and paint. I found Fitzhauer on Instagram because they replaced a complicated historic building roof near my neighborhood so I requested a bid for a clients historic home and out of several bids they were the most reasonable, the best communicators and they had great solutions. This is the FIRST time I am leaving a 5-START review for a company that I did not hire. Why didn't I hire them....because they were honest. I just purchased a house and thought we needed some roof repairs per the inspection report. They send out Jay to take a look at the job and I could not be more impressed and appreciative for Jay's honesty and professionalism. Jay (being a roof expert) showed me in detail the condition of my roof in my areas of concern. I was shocked was so honest with me that he said I do not need to spend any money on my roof and that it was actually in good condition. I was confused since my inspection report said it needed some repairs. While Jay was there I called the inspector and asked what areas specifically did he feel needed repair. His answer was, "I just figured it would need some repair so I included it in the inspection report. I didn't actually go on your roof." Jay could have easily said my roof needed repair and I would have paid since I do not know any better. I will 100% called Fitzhauer Construction for all future construction and repair needs on my house. I will make sure to ask for Jay to be the guy that helps me. Right before the holidays I was searching for the perfect windows for a playhouse I was building for my kids. I wanted something that could withstand years of use and searched high and low for a good product at a good price. Finally found the most wonderful company that was extremely helpful in assisting me. Roof needed repair after a leak caused ceiling to cave in. Neil and another man came out and gave an estimate for repair of the initial issue and also other repairs to the roof. They sent me photos throughout the day of their work. Looked great afterwards. So far so good. Estimate seemed fair enough. Thank you for coming out at such a crazy time. My son heard them say "should we get her to do ?? (not sure what it was)? too" They ended up not asking me whatever it was. That was the only suspicious thing I was slightly put off about. From start to finish, hands down the best customer service I've received in a LONG time. I submitted an inquiry for new window installation in March and someone called me about 15 minutes and set up the consultation that same day. The presentation was enough to have me sign up without thinking twice. The next day, they had a guy come do a final measurement of the windows and place the order and I got a call from Angela a couple days later with an ETA for the custom windows (they're huge) and wanting to set up the installation appointment. All was well for the next 6-7 weeks, then my calendar reminded me I had window installation in 2 days. I couldn't remember Angela's name at the time, but she must be able to read minds because she called me almost immediately after the thought came about. She confirmed the installers would be to my place between 9-11am and the installation could take up to 5-8 hours, which was fine. Installation day comes and I get a call at 9:05am saying they're outside, I go and greet them and and show them the windows, they say ok, tell me sit back and relax and they get to work immediately. When I tell you the installed these windows quick, I'm not kidding. Their arrival window was 9-11am and the FINISHED THE JOB at 11am. Impressed is an understatement. They were super nice and polite and I'm sad to say I cannot remember their names but I am extremely happy with this company. I will definitely recommend them to EVERYONE I know and hope to work with them again soon for my AC needs. I love my windows. Not only do they replace old, squeaky, leaky aluminum windows I had prior, they give my condo a more modern look, keep the heat out and reduces most of the noise from the neighbors kids. read more

Neil was super helpful during the quote process and gave us many ideas along with providing it all in a line-item estimate. He even came out a second time to refine the project in more detail and to change the estimate. Unfortunately we never heard back on the revised quotes. Which is completely understandable since good construction outfits are probably being hit with work left and right and our project wasn't a massive one. Thank God for Neil who responded even on Christmas eve. I had two windows that were recently installed by another contractor of which one was leaking tons of water into the house during the few days of rain. Neil assured me he would take care of the problem so i don't have to worry about it again. He checked the second window just in case and found out if the wind was blowing the right direction that window would have leaked as well. We were chatting while he was working and he genuinely is a cool guy that is a straight shooter.
