Unfortunately, my experience with this company was frustrating due to poor communication and lack of follow through from the technician, Arturo. When Arturo came out to inspect the roof, he provided a verbal quote, but no written estimate was ever sent. Since my husband and I were in the process of making decisions based on contractor bids, I later reached out and specifically asked if a written quote could be provided. After waiting without receiving anything, I followed up with Arturo by text and was told that he would send the quote later that day. Four days passed, and I still did not receive the written estimate or any update. I sent another follow-up message and received no response at all. The only positive part of my experience was communicating with their staff, Abigail. The person responding to my texts, who I believe was Abigail, was responsive and helpful whenever I reached out to the company's main number. Unfortunately, despite her responsiveness, I still had difficulty getting the information I needed from the technician assigned to my project. I understand that delays can happen, but timely communication and following through on commitments are important. I was very happy with my experience with RoofTek & Waterproofing Systems, Inc. While walking through the neighborhood, I noticed they were working on my neighbor's house. I asked Thomas, the owner, if he could give us an estimate to fix a leak we believed was related to our furnace pipe. Thomas offered to inspect that area and also take a look at the entire roof for any additional issues. Thomas climbed up to our second story roof and completed a thorough inspection. David, the son of the owner Tomas initially came out and did a Drone inspection of our roof to determine the cause of a minor roof leak in our master bedroom. David has great communication and responsiveness and 2 weeks later David sent a 2 man crew to diagnose the area of the roof that was leaking. The crew arrived on time and removed multiple tiles and determined that a tear in the underlayment was the cause of the leak. They replaced the underlayment, replaced several broken tiles and did a roof maintenance, sealing and caulking all the vents. We had a leak in our enclosed patio from the last rain we had. I reached out to RoofTek and David Macedo came out to look at it. He did an amazing job and putting together a fixit plan and getting us a crew to come out and replace our roof, especially on short notice before the week long rain season we just had. We had a leaky roof that needed the replacement of the underlayment. Overall, the project took 8 days from demo to final inspection which took on average 3 crew members to do. We selected Rooftek because of the high ratings on yelp and also the quote was very fair. Tomas was very communicative and answered any questions I had during the process. Scheduling was very tricky though because of the holidays but that is very understandable. They also seem to be in high demand so what you anticipate to start may not be when they could start work. But they are high demand for a reason right? Another thing we did was get a magnet roller to attract any nails that have fallen to the ground. The crew tries to clean up the debris and are organized but it is hard to find all the fallen nails with the naked eye. But overall, I would recommend Rooftek. read more
