For the past several years, I have had pesky leaks where the patio cover meets the roof. In June, John came out and flew a drone over the roof, detected a poor roof patch where the previous electrical pole used to be. (electrician did great job on panel upgrade, not so much roof patch). The leaks were over a 20 foot of patio. I read on nextdoor Parkside was great at smaller repair jobs, and didn't try to sell you on new roof. In a couple of days, I received their proposal. We agreed to repair 200 sq feet. Once the roof is torn off, the inspection showed 2 or 3 wood panels that needed to be replaced due to warp condition. I could not write a review until it rained, which occurred today. Its very nice to have a DRY patio! Under $2000. read more

We had an amazing experience with Parkside Roofing and couldn't be happier with our decision to go with them! The entire experience was great, and the quality of their work exceeded our expectations. A HUGE shoutout to our project manager, John, who truly deserves recognition. He was incredibly communicative, kind, professional, and attentive throughout the entire process. He kept us informed every step of the way and made what could have been a stressful project feel seamless. Honestly, his professionalism and communication were one of the biggest reasons we chose Parkside Roofing in the first place. We are beyond happy with the finished work and the overall experience. Parkside Roofing is lucky to have someone like John on their team, and if anyone deserves a raise, it's this man! If you're looking for a reliable roofing company that delivers quality work and excellent customer service, we highly recommend Parkside Roofing. Thank you, John and the entire team! read more

In preparation for the winter rain season I decided to have a roof inspection for my older roof and was expecting a hard sell for repairs but to my surprise Dave P. and his team were very honest with their inspection. I had a leak for a while now. After hearing reports of the biggest El Nino of the century being on the way, I decided to give Parkside Roofing a try after seeing all their positive reviews on Yelp. Kevin was very responsive and provided an acceptable estimate after his project manager, John, came out and conducted his assessment. The only issue I had was that the repair estimate only came with a 1 year warranty. After bringing this up with Kevin, he did give me the option of purchasing an additional year. He did put me at ease though by telling me they stand by their work and that my repair should last decades based on similar projects they've done. I decided to forgo the purchase of the additional year warranty. To this day, we've had a couple of small storms go by and the roof repair has held up well. I realize the brunt of El Nino is still upon us so the real test is yet to come. Fingers crossed that repair keeps holding up well. read more

Friendly, responsive, competitive pricing, clear about pricing and work to be done. They also work quick. Haven't dealt with a ton of roofing companies in the past, but all of the above helped with the experience. Would do business with them again. read more

I have a back room that the previous home owners built around a metal accordian roof that leaked pretty bad when it rained. i unfortunatly could not afford at this time to do a full new roof on it but Park roofing was the only roofer that offered me a alternitive solution that fit my current budget and once schedualed they arrived on time and got to work and completed the job in a couple days which was fine by me. the coating they put up there has aleready been hit by one small rainfall and we did not notice any leaks so i am happy so far. we will have to wait and see how it holds up to the big stormfalls that come through every now and then but i think we will be ok when they do. i would completely reccommend Parkside Roofing for you roofing needs. read more

I needed to find someone to inspect a water leak that became a problem with the recent rain. I found Parkside Roofing on Yelp after a short research and knew I wanted to contact them over the many choices listed when I read over their reviews. Dave was prompt in responding to my Yelp inquiry and got me scheduled within just two days. He was very punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and honest throughout the entire process- from the first contact to the last. I received an inspection and estimate on a water leak from the wall near the window and upon his thorough inspection of inside, outside, above the home with a drone, Dave came to a conclusion that it was most likely related to the window itself. He spent his time explaining his findings and going over the condition of the roof which demonstrated his knowledge and expertise. He told me to do a water challenge test from outside the window since he'd rather do the least invasive thing first, rather than go straight to the roof since he didn't see anything visibly wrong with the roof. Within 48 hours of the inspection he emailed me photos of the roof that he took with his drone and an estimate of the roof repair if I were to need it. Dave was a pleasure to work with and he will definitely be the person I contact and refer to others when there is ever a need for any roof work! read more

Highly recommend: quick, great communication, and great work. Had a shingle fall off so got in touch and Dave came out same day to look at it. He did a drone inspection to make sure there were no other issues, and then provided a clear invoice that broke down the costs of the different processes/options to do the repair. Once everything was arranged, he and his team were really responsive and clear in communicating throughout the whole repair, and at the end everything looked great. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a repair! read more

I am writing this review after two years of our flat roof replacement provided by Parkside Roofing. I am happy to say our roof is still in great condition. What I remember about John and Dave was their clear communication and reliability. They helped us filled out forms for our HOA and coordinated with our city building permit authorities. They made it easy on us as possible and gave us a sturdy roof. I highly recommend them and their company to anyone. read more

I called Parkside roofing to patch a roof leak, with a 1 year warranty. During the job itself they seemed like nice guys, talk you up about customer service etc. But as soon as the job was done I noticed that the clay tiles I had was not aligned right. Some was so bad that you could literally see exposed underlayment. I was only able to catch this due to a bathroom window I have that just happen to overlook it. If I got the work done on a different part of the roof, probably would never have noticed. And would never be able to call them to address it, so keep that in mind. What's worse is that since the roof work there was no major rain for 16 month, which is outside of the 12 month warranty. So I guess if you never put their roof to the test against mother nature then I guess it's perfect service. But the first time it's suppose to do its job it fails to do so. At this point I'm not sure what they did mess up my tiles and take my money for the privilege. I would literally be in a better position had I not paid them to do "work" on my roof. I tried contacting them several times and met with the cold shoulder. I'm probably just going to eat my losses here but if you're considering them, just be warned. Or make sure it rains in the warranty period! read more

One of the things I value most when working with contractors is communication. Parkside is one of the best teams I've worked with when it comes to keeping me updated with honest feedback with a good turnaround if I had any clarifying questions. With something as important as a roof, a customer like me needs to know all the details of what we're spending our money on. I very rarely write reviews but I cannot keep Parkside Roofing's great work a secret. I had interviewed 7 roofers before I decided on Parkside Roofing and I cannot be happier with my decision. John was the one of the only roofers who showed up on time for the consultation. He explained the process and answered all of my questions. The quote was very competitive and what I appreciate the most was their transparency. I felt I could trust their price and scope of work. I felt I knew what was going into the project. Another contractor I interviewed never told me about the potential increase in cost I might incur if rotten wood needed to be replaced but John was very upfront with me so I was prepared. When they took apart the roof, sure enough, a lot of wood needed to be replaced. (The roof had been leaking for years). He sent me photos and waited for my approval of the additional replacement cost before moving forward. Throughout the process, John would give me updates and photos as I requested. His boss, Dave, was also very responsive. I felt really good when he said they would take care of my roof as if it were their own and they did. The crew worked quickly and were very clean. They are my go-to for all my roofing questions and needs. Thanks again, Dave and John! read more

This company was recommended to us from a friend for our roof repairs. John was very professional and after inspecting our roof, patiently explained what work needed to be done. As someone who never had roof work done before, I appreciated his thorough explanations. The quote was competitive with 3 other roofing companies we had reached out to and was within our budget. They were very straight forward with what was needed and didn't try to push for additional "unnecessary" work like others did. I called 5 different roofing contractors to get quotes for a roof replacement on my home and garage. Only 3 responded and Parkside was one of those 3. I met with John (Project Manager) and he took photos of the existing roof, thoroughly explained the replacement process and answered all my questions regarding materials to be used. After review of the other quotes I received, I went with Parkside Roofing and very pleased I did. Dave (Owner) was very prompt with my quote request and his price was very competitive. Their crew did a great job of tearing off the old roof and were extremely efficient in replacing the house and garage roof. John kept me updated on the phone and with pictures with the entire process. He was also instrumental in dealing with the city building and safety department in getting the permit finialed in a timely manner. I appreciate Dave's commitment to me in making sure that the project could be completed in my timeline, it was extremely reassuring. I also want to mention that the crew members were all extremely polite. Thank you guys as well for your hard work !!! We had a couple leaks during the heavy rains last December. I contacted Parkside roofing for a quote for repairs and the owner Dave came out. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about the houses in my area (La Mirada) most are manufactured homes from the 1950s so they are all very similar in design etc... as he also lives in the area. He inspected and took some photos and said he would get back to me soon with a quote. Throughout the entire process of this repair he was true to his word and communication was clear. Their quote came back very competitive for both repairs and some much needed maintenance on our roof so we decided to move forward. Scheduled work for a week or so out. Morning of his guys showed up on time, also very friendly and good communication about what they would be doing etc... Work lasted from ~8AM - 2PM. I have two dogs and I really appreciated John on Dave's team sweeping the yard with magnets for any loose nails or metal etc... from the repairs. He was very careful and since the work I've found nothing out there. Few rains since then and so far no leaks so happy with the work, great easy experience. Could not recommend them enough! read more

This review is reflecting the free estimate experience I had. I had a minor leak coming from the window and reached out to parkside. They asked additional questions and suggested that a window contractor might be the best fit to fix this. I also did schedule for parkside to come out to check if my roof needed servicing. John, the technician, arrived early and flew his drone to do a 360 assessment. After a thorough examination he said everything is holding up well and there's nothing he would recommend to do at this time. I was blow away by this level of honesty. Obvious any company would be incentivized to exaggerate that maintenance would be needed. Next time I have a roof issue, I know exactly who to reach out to! read more

My friend referred me Parkside Roofing for water leak repairs. For this type of issue, I would want a quick response and Dave is the man. John of Parkside Roofing came to take a look at the roof, identifying potential cause of the leak, using drone because they didn't want to damage the roof while inspecting. John explained what he thinks happened, what they would do to repair, making sure I understand and answered every question I had. Right after I signed the contract, they contacted me to schedule the repair for the next day. I was afraid my roof repair would not be responded to and repaired quickly because there would be many other people needing repairs due to the recent rains and my repair might be too little work. But they responded and fixed the roof promptly and after the repair, they made sure there was no more leaking and if anything, to contact them. Entire process was quick and easy. After doing the mandatory vetting through several roofing companies for a whole-roof repair/replacement job for one of our rental properties, my husband and I were becoming frustrated by the wide range of quotes and unreasonable push to buy products and materials that were not necessary for the job. We were about to sign on the dotted line with a company but decided to give Yelp another go, one last time. Parkside Roofing popped up, and the overwhelmingly positive reviews are astounding. We contacted them. John, the rep/manager came out very promptly to meet us. There was none of the pushy sales pitch, just a well-spoken, self-assured, and very professional that was, to say the least, refreshing. He communicated succinctly all the pros and cons and left no room for question or doubt, and without any stress and strain, we landed at a very fair and amicable price. We signed them on for the project and never looked back. The job started and concluded when they said it would. The only delay we endured was waiting on the final approval from the country. We couldn't be happier with the result. There will be more roofing issues in the future for us, and we know who we'll be calling. read more

We needed some maintenance and Parkside Roofing was just the right company to do the job. Unlike other companies we shopped around for, Parkside Roofing willingly provided high resolution drone photos of the issues that they saw which allowed me to review their findings and also examine the roof myself. The other companies didn't do that and they would only quote a general number problems. And, because Parkside Roofing used a drone, it also meant no one had to go up on my roof and cause more damage to my roof tiles (Would you believe that some companies still send people up?!?). The repair people that showed up did a great job. I shared the photos of the issues that both Parkside Roofing and I found and they fixed them all. Afterwards, Parkside Roofing sent another drone to review the repairs and also provided the completed photos. I've attached some of my Before and After photos. Parkside Roofing, Dave, John, and crew are easy to work with and I'm here to support their business and give them 5 stars. I would work with them again. read more

We had a leak from our flat roof from the previous repairs the house owners had done in the past. Dave and John were very prompt and informative with the numerous questions I had for them, and also understood our urgency on our request. I've worked with many vendors and contractors to work with our new house and never have seen a team who seemed to care to take care of things the right way. They were not pushy to get their sales from us and honestly told what needed to be done versus what we can wait on. I am definitely keeping their contact information for the rework of our roof in the upcoming years. Great experience! We had a leak coming down over a sliding glass door. They were great with communication and responded very quickly to our request. The initial inspection was quick though very thorough. He was able to determine where the leak was coming through and what would need to be done to fix it. He checked the seals over other parts of the roof (vents) and would reseal those as well. They completed the repair within a day and everything seems great! I couldn't add a picture because it's literally up on the roof where I can't see, but from the water leaking perspective, everything seems to be taken care of. We hired Parkside Roofing to repair our leak. We've had a leak through our bedroom window and after consulting with several vendors without success, we spoke with the Project Manager, John, who was able to provide us a reasonable quote for repair. John was very personable and communication was top notch. He seemed to be very experienced with the observations on our roof, and surprisingly didn't pressure us to repair anything that wasn't needed, in order to try to find us ways to save money! Because we have solar panels, we also had to coordinate with the solar panel company to remove them prior to the roof repairs, and with the rainy season, it did take a bit of time to schedule a day that they could work on it when it wasn't scheduled to rain. They did come as soon as they could. Work was done pretty quickly, however we found that we had to point out several things that the repair people overlooked and needed to fix, something that we hoped they would take initiative on. But John did make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Parkside, and as a matter of fact have already recommended them to our neighbors who also have a leaking roof. read more

I called 7 roofing companies in my quest to find the best and an affordable roofer. Out of those 7, only 3 actually showed up. Out of those 3, Parkside Roofing were the only ones to respond to every question I had, to show up when they said they would and to do what they said they'd do, they were the only ones fully licensed as a roofing contractor and were also insured. I also saw a house they did down the street and was impressed with that work. I asked Dave (the owner) for an estimate via Yelp, and he sent John his estimator out to measure and photograph my roof. John arrived on time, took all the photos and measurements using a drone, and never had to set foot on my already brittle and failing roof. I thought that was very cool. A few days later, I got an estimate from them. After reading the estimate and seeing they back their workmanship in the contract as well, It was a go and I hired them. Unfortunately for me, I had no idea what a complicated mess and awful process removing my solar panels would be. Parkside had nothing to do with that process, it was up to Tesla Energy. Tesla took 4 months to get permits and finally get the panels down. Dave from Parkside Roofing was patient with me, and even though roofing prices continued to climb during those 4 months, he honored his original estimate. Once the panels were finally down on a Thursday, Parkside showed up the following Monday and had my 3,700 sq ft roof off and hauled away in a few hours. They even put plastic down all around the ground perimeter of my house to catch any debris. It kept the mess to a minimum. They ran magnets around too,at the end, to pick up any nails that may have fallen to the ground. Very nice. I had 3 bad pieces of wood roof sheathing and those were replaced by Parkside too. Delivery of the supplies was made a day earlier than expected and another team showed up to load all those materials onto my roof. I had no idea how heavy a roof was, but all the materials combined weighed 6 tons!!! Anyhow, the City took 10 days to get out to inspect my roof sheathing and the roofing materials to be used, which all passed inspection. Now that the sheathing had passed inspection, Parkside could move forward. It took the Parkside crew just under 2 days to reroof my home. The roof looks great, and I can't believe how many people have stopped to either compliment on the roof or ask me about who did the roof and if they can take photos. It really does look nice. The city inspector came out for a final inspection and told me the roof looked fantastic and it passed final inspection with no issues. He told me about 25% of the roofs he inspects fail final inspection but that he hasn't seen that issue with Parkside Roofing. Parkside was always responsive, they handled everything & always did what they said they were going to do, showed up when they said, were patient with the Tesla 4 month delay and honored the 4 month old contract, their foreman and work crew were good guys and I am pleased. I would recommend Parkside Roofing to anyone and do so knowing they do a great job, they handle everything from beginning to end and always were there when I had any questions. Great experience. read more
