I needed to find someone to inspect a water leak that became a problem with the recent rain. I found Parkside Roofing on Yelp after a short research and knew I wanted to contact them over the many choices listed when I read over their reviews. Dave was prompt in responding to my Yelp inquiry and got me scheduled within just two days. He was very punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and honest throughout the entire process- from the first contact to the last. I received an inspection and estimate on a water leak from the wall near the window and upon his thorough inspection of inside, outside, above the home with a drone, Dave came to a conclusion that it was most likely related to the window itself. He spent his time explaining his findings and going over the condition of the roof which demonstrated his knowledge and expertise. He told me to do a water challenge test from outside the window since he'd rather do the least invasive thing first, rather than go straight to the roof since he didn't see anything visibly wrong with the roof. Within 48 hours of the inspection he emailed me photos of the roof that he took with his drone and an estimate of the roof repair if I were to need it. I called Parkside roofing to patch a roof leak, with a 1 year warranty. During the job itself they seemed like nice guys, talk you up about customer service etc. But as soon as the job was done I noticed that the clay tiles I had was not aligned right. Some was so bad that you could literally see exposed underlayment. I was only able to catch this due to a bathroom window I have that just happen to overlook it. If I got the work done on a different part of the roof, probably would never have noticed. And would never be able to call them to address it, so keep that in mind. What's worse is that since the roof work there was no major rain for 16 month, which is outside of the 12 month warranty. So I guess if you never put their roof to the test against mother nature then I guess it's perfect service. But the first time it's suppose to do its job it fails to do so. At this point I'm not sure what they did mess up my tiles and take my money for the privilege. I would literally be in a better position had I not paid them to do "work" on my roof. I tried contacting them several times and met with the cold shoulder. I'm probably just going to eat my losses here but if you're considering them, just be warned. I have a back room that the previous home owners built around a metal accordian roof that leaked pretty bad when it rained. i unfortunatly could not afford at this time to do a full new roof on it but Park roofing was the only roofer that offered me a alternitive solution that fit my current budget and once schedualed they arrived on time and got to work and completed the job in a couple days which was fine by me. the coating they put up there has aleready been hit by one small rainfall and we did not notice any leaks so i am happy so far. we will have to wait and see how it holds up to the big stormfalls that come through every now and then but i think we will be ok when they do. i would completely reccommend Parkside Roofing for you roofing needs. read more

We had a couple leaks during the heavy rains last December. I contacted Parkside roofing for a quote for repairs and the owner Dave came out. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about the houses in my area (La Mirada) most are manufactured homes from the 1950s so they are all very similar in design etc... as he also lives in the area. He inspected and took some photos and said he would get back to me soon with a quote. Throughout the entire process of this repair he was true to his word and communication was clear. Their quote came back very competitive for both repairs and some much needed maintenance on our roof so we decided to move forward. Scheduled work for a week or so out. Morning of his guys showed up on time, also very friendly and good communication about what they would be doing etc... Work lasted from ~8AM - 2PM. I very rarely write reviews but I cannot keep Parkside Roofing's great work a secret. I had interviewed 7 roofers before I decided on Parkside Roofing and I cannot be happier with my decision. John was the one of the only roofers who showed up on time for the consultation. He explained the process and answered all of my questions. The quote was very competitive and what I appreciate the most was their transparency. I felt I could trust their price and scope of work. I felt I knew what was going into the project. Another contractor I interviewed never told me about the potential increase in cost I might incur if rotten wood needed to be replaced but John was very upfront with me so I was prepared. This review is reflecting the free estimate experience I had. I had a minor leak coming from the window and reached out to parkside. They asked additional questions and suggested that a window contractor might be the best fit to fix this. I also did schedule for parkside to come out to check if my roof needed servicing. John, the technician, arrived early and flew his drone to do a 360 assessment. After a thorough examination he said everything is holding up well and there's nothing he would recommend to do at this time. I was blow away by this level of honesty. Unlike other companies we shopped around for, Parkside Roofing willingly provided high resolution drone photos of the issues that they saw which allowed me to review their findings and also examine the roof myself. The other companies didn't do that and they would only quote a general number problems. And, because Parkside Roofing used a drone, it also meant no one had to go up on my roof and cause more damage to my roof tiles (Would you believe that some companies still send people up?!?). Great experience! We had a leak coming down over a sliding glass door. They were great with communication and responded very quickly to our request. The initial inspection was quick though very thorough. He was able to determine where the leak was coming through and what would need to be done to fix it. He checked the seals over other parts of the roof (vents) and would reseal those as well. They completed the repair within a day and everything seems great! I couldn't add a picture because it's literally up on the roof where I can't see, but from the water leaking perspective, everything seems to be taken care of. We hired Parkside Roofing to repair our leak. We've had a leak through our bedroom window and after consulting with several vendors without success, we spoke with the Project Manager, John, who was able to provide us a reasonable quote for repair. John was very personable and communication was top notch. He seemed to be very experienced with the observations on our roof, and surprisingly didn't pressure us to repair anything that wasn't needed, in order to try to find us ways to save money! Because we have solar panels, we also had to coordinate with the solar panel company to remove them prior to the roof repairs, and with the rainy season, it did take a bit of time to schedule a day that they could work on it when it wasn't scheduled to rain. They did come as soon as they could. Work was done pretty quickly, however we found that we had to point out several things that the repair people overlooked and needed to fix, something that we hoped they would take initiative on. But John did make sure everything was completed to our satisfaction. I called 7 roofing companies in my quest to find the best and an affordable roofer. Out of those 7, only 3 actually showed up. Out of those 3, Parkside Roofing were the only ones to respond to every question I had, to show up when they said they would and to do what they said they'd do, they were the only ones fully licensed as a roofing contractor and were also insured. I also saw a house they did down the street and was impressed with that work. I asked Dave (the owner) for an estimate via Yelp, and he sent John his estimator out to measure and photograph my roof. John arrived on time, took all the photos and measurements using a drone, and never had to set foot on my already brittle and failing roof. I thought that was very cool. A few days later, I got an estimate from them. After reading the estimate and seeing they back their workmanship in the contract as well, It was a go and I hired them. Unfortunately for me, I had no idea what a complicated mess and awful process removing my solar panels would be. Parkside had nothing to do with that process, it was up to Tesla Energy. Tesla took 4 months to get permits and finally get the panels down. Dave from Parkside Roofing was patient with me, and even though roofing prices continued to climb during those 4 months, he honored his original estimate. Once the panels were finally down on a Thursday, Parkside showed up the following Monday and had my 3,700 sq ft roof off and hauled away in a few hours. They even put plastic down all around the ground perimeter of my house to catch any debris. It kept the mess to a minimum. They ran magnets around too,at the end, to pick up any nails that may have fallen to the ground. Very nice. I had 3 bad pieces of wood roof sheathing and those were replaced by Parkside too. Delivery of the supplies was made a day earlier than expected and another team showed up to load all those materials onto my roof. I had no idea how heavy a roof was, but all the materials combined weighed 6 tons!!! Anyhow, the City took 10 days to get out to inspect my roof sheathing and the roofing materials to be used, which all passed inspection. Now that the sheathing had passed inspection, Parkside could move forward. It took the Parkside crew just under 2 days to reroof my home. The roof looks great, and I can't believe how many people have stopped to either compliment on the roof or ask me about who did the roof and if they can take photos. It really does look nice. The city inspector came out for a final inspection and told me the roof looked fantastic and it passed final inspection with no issues. He told me about 25% of the roofs he inspects fail final inspection but that he hasn't seen that issue with Parkside Roofing. Parkside was always responsive, they handled everything & always did what they said they were going to do, showed up when they said, were patient with the Tesla 4 month delay and honored the 4 month old contract, their foreman and work crew were good guys and I am pleased. I would recommend Parkside Roofing to anyone and do so knowing they do a great job, they handle everything from beginning to end and always were there when I had any questions. Dave at Parkside Roofing was the first roofers to respond to my Yelp inquiry. We had so much rain in OC and I noticed a leak in the ceiling in our foyer. He sent someone out relatively quickly to give me an estimate because he knew I was afraid it would start raining again and I really wanted to get it fixed fast. I appreciated that so much! John, the Project Mgr, came out and had a cool drone that he sent up to take photos, John was courteous and after seeing what was up there and how the corners of the tiles were placed he knew exactly what the problem was and knew it was something Parkside could handle. Dave estimated 2-3 weeks to come out, but a couple days later he notified me that he was able to squeeze me in at the beginning of the week and totally last minute, probably because my job was considered smaller and his team would be able to do it in one day.
