In 2023, I contacted All Pro Roofing to give me an estimate on reroofing my home in Huntington Beach. Adam came out shortly after I contacted him and upon inspection, said that our existing roof had another 4-5 years left. I still asked him to quote the project and his price was competitive with the other 4 bids that we received. Only one of the other 4 companies were honest enough to tell me that I did not need a new roof at that time, so All Pro was already the standout from an integrity/honesty standpoint. Fast forward to this year -- my wife and I decided to proceed with our roofing project, and so I reached back out to All Pro as well as a few other roofing companies. All Pro's price was again very competitive with the other companies, and Adam took a lot of time to explain the installation process and the difference in shingle options, so we decided to select All Pro as our vendor of choice. His crew removed the old roof in a day, identified and replaced existing wood and facia as necessary, and installed our new Certainteed Presidential TL roof in country grey in about a week. Everyday, his crew thoroughly cleaned up any debris, dirt and nails around the property. The item that sealed the deal was the permit costs . I used All Pro roofing to replace my roof a few years ago and I wanted to follow-up on my experience. I cannot speak highly enough about this company and its employees. The entire experience was exactly as described by Adam and was done exceptionally well. We have had no issues with our roof since the replacement a few years ago. Additionally, I have had to reach out to the owner, Adam, a few times and he has always been prompt to respond and very accommodating. I had damaged a shingle on accident during a home repair I was doing, and he came out the same day to replace it. I also recently had solar put in, and he provided me with a lot of advice and insight into how to appropriately have the mounts installed to prevent any future issues. We contacted several roofing companies and All Pro Roofing was by far the most responsive and helpful. Matt did the initial inspection, then we dealt with Adam who thoroughly explained the estimate and how the job would progress. He provided multiple references, including one nearby who had chosen the same shingles as we wanted. I spoke with two of them who each had similar comments about timeliness and reliability. Their quote was competitive, and Adam was up front about the possibility of the need for replacing some wood. During these discussions we just got more and more comfortable that these guys take pride in their work and weren't BS-ing or over promising. As it turned out, wood damage was minimal after all. (Interestingly, all the bids included pricing per linear foot for wood replacement, and their prices for that extra work were slightly lower than all the others) The job started a few days earlier than expected. Hugo, the foreman, worked his tail off to get some of the weird angles and overhangs done early, so when the full crew was on site things went really quickly. A big thank you to Adam and Matt for giving me an honest evaluation on my roof. We had a licensed contractor give us a supposedly free roofing evaluation. This contractor indicated that my roof was at the end of it's life and we needed a new roof before the rainy season hit. They would give us a discount of about $4000. Being sceptical, I looked in Yelp for a high rated roofer and found All Pro. I called Adam and he indicated Matt would be over the next day. Next day, Matt arrived. First thing, Matt went up and examined the roof. When Matt came down off the roof, he asked me why I wanted a new roof in that the roof appeared to be a 30 year roof just showing normal wear. Matt told me if I'm not having any problems (leaks, loose tiles, etc) that I should have at least another good 10 years left on my current roof. Bottom line: Matt and Adam gave me an honest evaluation and did not push me in buying a roof I didn't need. When I do need a new roof, I'm going with All Pro. PS: Before Matt left, I asked if I did need a new roof now, what would be a rough estimate. Matt provided a rough estimate which was half of the supposedly discounted price from the other contractor. We were very nervous about getting our roof replaced. There's a lot of mediocrity out there. We obtained three bids. All Pro Roofing is who we chose. Firstly, if you observe all of the positive reviews on YELP, the evidence is clear, This is an awesome company. Rather than being repetitive in our review of all of the same things others experienced, Ill leave out some of the obvious i.e. being on time, cleanliness etc... ...Adam from ALL PRO ROOFING was the only ROOFING CONTRACTOR who actually sat down at our kitchen table and provided us with samples and explained the differences in the choices of shingles/underlayment. ( Certainteed was the product he and his company recommended)... Adam has good PR skills There was no pressure from Adam. He's honest and straight forward.... He actually made me feel at ease after our first meeting. He also gave us an education on the "Calif Mechanics Lien Law".. Didn't know anything about it! This refers to any contractor or supplier that is not paid they have a right to place a lien on your property.. We wrote out two checks, one to ALL PRO ROOFING and one to the roofing supplier... Its all in writing that he provides you... Adam also checked our sky light and there were fissures so we made the choice to have it replaced. Adam went out of his way to pick up the sky light and delivered it to our house and saved us shipping... He also did not mark up the cost of the sky light... Now that's integrity!!!!! Another aspect was, this company does not out source the tear off of the roof. They do the entire tear off and placement of the new roof. There's continuity here. Hugo was the foremen. He and his crew worked very hard. I watched them work, and it gave me an appreciation of what's entailed to replace a roof!!!!!!!!! The only question you need to ask about a business is, "Would I use them again?" For All-Pro Roofing, the answer is Yes! Loved working with Adam and Matt Miller to get the bid and make all the arrangements to have our house roofed. And Hugo, who was running the job on site, was great and gladly answered all my questions as the job was being done. And, being a curious person, I always have a lot of questions...hah! We needed to take the roof down to the studs so we got all new plywood, underlayment and, of course, shingles. We also added facia board, so we got a whole new look to our home. Adding facia board was not nearly as expensive as I thought it would be. In fact, I thought it was a great deal. Roofs are not cheap, but All-Pro's pricing was WAY lower than the first bid we got and in line with the second. Adam explained everything clearly and did not push us to do anything extra or steer us to the higher priced materials. We recommended them to a few neighbors who inquired about our new roof and asked for their contact information. I know one has already scheduled All-Pro to do their roof next month and I expect two others to do the same. I will say, roofing is a hard job, but Hugo and his crew got here around 8:30 a.m. every morning, took a lunch break, and left around 5 p.m. after cleaning up, which they did every day. They are hard workers. We have a one-story house and it took about 5-6 days. Everything was run very professionally and communication with Adam was outstanding. Now, if you need a new roof, plan ahead 2-3 months because like most roofing companies they get busy quickly and probably more so as the fall/winter rainy season approaches. I know, it never rains in Southern California...hah! I don't normally write yelp reviews, but it helped us find All-Pro Roofing so I'm just paying it forward. I think it's important to know if customers are happy or not, and we are satisfied customers. Thanks to All Pro Roofing for make something I dreaded so fantastic! If you've ever had a bad experience with a contractor you know what I am talking about. And the roofing industry seems to have a high percentage of shady characters. Either that or maybe I have just had bad luck? From the initial request for a quote and setting up that appointment, to the final walk-through on completion, Adam did an amazing job staying in touch. Every time I thought of calling him with a question, he usually called me first. Every day, at the end of the day, I would get a status report from Adam. Just after the crew would leave he would have checked in with them and would call to tell me what they would be working on the next day and how we were looking for completion. We had a comp roof over a cedar wood roof. As I expected (and as Adam warned), it was a messy business! But the crew had covered all our patio furniture, covered our swimming pool, and even covered up as much as they could in my packed to the rafters garage. Each day the did a great job of straightening up and picking up the majority of the debris - knowing the whole time they had more work to do I didn't really want them cleaning up some things just to have to clean it up the following day. Adam told me that when they left it would be cleaner than when they arrived. I thought we'll see about that. On the last day they swept down the roof to remove any small debris, all the covers were removed, folded up and put away, they cleaned up any bushes and shrubbery, swept and picked up even the smallest debris and finally did a final cleanup. Due to insurance company changes, we needed to replace our 23 year-old roof fast. I checked Yelp for local contractors with good reviews and called All Pro and one other company (I also called a third contractor who was, unfortunately, out of town). Both responded quickly to measure / inspect the roof, and both established that the roof was in good shape (but at the end of its life), and both provided quotes in a timely manner. All Pro's bid was the lowest bid, I liked their payment terms, and I liked the brand of shingle they use (CertainTeed). After I reviewed both bids I was leaning towards using All Pro, so I called again and Adam came out and showed us the shingle options, as well as discussed the entire process, including both their obligations as well as what was expected from us (e.g., vehicles out of garage, access to outlets, etc.). One thing I appreciated was that there was no hard or up sell from Adam -- he basically explained the benefits to each of the shingle options available. He also did a walk through of the property and pointed out that there's always the issue of finding wood damage once the old tiles have been removed. We decided to go with All Pro, signed the contract and gave him a deposit on a Friday and, due to an unforeseen opening with another one of his jobs, we were able to have them start the following Monday. Work began on that Monday morning and progressed pretty much exactly as Adam had planned (we were blessed with a full week of dry weather). The workers made sure to cover items in the garage that needed to be covered (e.g., washer / dryer), and they did very little damage to plants around the house. After the old roofing was removed, some wood damage was found, as well as some misaligned sheathing, and a pre-code use of staples where now nails are required. Adam showed exactly where this damage / issue was, and provided a quick estimate of the added cost. Despite the additional work, the roof was completed by Thursday evening and we had our final inspection done Friday morning. Every day, after they completed their work, the workers cleaned up the driveway and cleared loose nails / staples with a large magnet. When they left for good, on Thursday, they cleaned / swept the entire perimeter of the house - and they did a really nice job, at that! (I have a small pile of DG - for future use around the yard - and Adam even offered to haul it away if I desired!) Adam provided timely updates throughout the week, and stopped by several times to inspect the progress. He was also very responsive to inquiries, whether they were via phone, e-mail or text, and very upfront and honest about issues, conditions, forecasts, etc. I really appreciate that kind of integrity from a contractor! read more

This review is long overdue, but after watching how well my All Pro roof held up over the most recent SoCal downpour, I remembered that I needed to write this:-) I called All Pro after reading their Yelp reviews and am I glad I did. I had a composition shingle roof installed about 18 years ago (by another roofer) that was installed without the proper ventilation, which resulted in premature deterioration. The deterioration eventually caused a sizable leak and I really needed to have it replaced. I gave All Pro a call and was hoping that they serviced the Long Beach area (which they did) and scheduled a time for them to come out and take a look. Adam came out as scheduled and thoroughly inspected the roof and an estimate for several different options followed shortly thereafter. Once I agreed on what type of shingle I wanted, Adam came back out to finalize the deal and schedule a start date. I need to say here that Adam is a stand up guy and is really forthcoming on how their scheduling works, what can cause postponements, and what to expect when the work starts.....It did happen to be in early spring of 2017 (you remember all the rain SoCal got during that time period right). Adam proceeded to give us a date that worked, but because of the all the rain, it got pushed out a couple of times. That was OK because I had temporarily fixed the leak I had (shout out to Flex Seal) and waited for my turn in line. Adam came back out to the house once we got to within a week of the start and photographed everything on the property that I wanted protected and took detailed notes on some things I needed to have reinstalled in a very specific manner. Adam was very in-tune with what I wanted and assured me that it would be just as I had requested.....and it was. The scheduled date arrived and the All Pro tear-off dudes showed up and proceed to tear off the old roof on the house and garage (garage had a layer of wood shake, 2 layers of composition, and no plywood). The tear-off crew is very efficient, pretty darn clean, and protected every bit of landscaping I had....as I had requested. Another point here, tear-off is a messy job, and crazy Santa Ana winds don't help either, but these guys kept everything contained and were super cognizant of my neighbors yards as well. I came home from work and saw one of the guys picking up bits of shingles a couple houses away. Once everything was prepped, dormer vents were added (remember when I said my old roof was incorrectly installed, ventilation was something that was omitted and was the major cause of premature deterioration....so don't forget your ventilation:-), then the shingles were installed. The entire process took about 5 days and the property was cleaned and organized before the crew left each day, and the final day was a complete nail sweep....they pick up every dropped nail, in the grass, flower beds, everywhere. The end result is a beautiful roof that will last, professionally installed by a great company.
