We had our roof completely replaced and gutters installed. Overall everything to do with these guys was great. The pricing was very competitive, and the speed in which they communicate is so nice. Installation was quick and painless. But really what stands out is all the little things they did. Before they started, they took a lot of care to cover things around the house and the garage. Our project manager Mike was so communicative during the process. After they were finished they cleaned up as if they were never here. And there are a bunch of little details like matching the paint on both sides of fascia that was replaced, or matching color around our chimney to the new roof color really set things apart for me. I have a wide chimney with incorrect flashing, eventually this led to some water/moisture getting into my ceiling on the inside of my house. With the recent rainstorm, the issue definitely become more noticeable so I decided to get quotes on yelp for new cricket flashing and replacing the damaged area of the roof. I found SoCal Roofing who had great reviews and competitive pricing. I connected with Carlos and exchanged some messages and received an initial quote followed by a final quote. The final quote was higher than the initial quote which surprised me but was still very competitive. I agreed to the price and the work was scheduled later in the week. My main contact for the job was Luis and Chris. Arturo the foreman and his assistant removed the old shingles, old underlayment and old flashing. Next he installed the new cricket made out of plywood, followed by the new underlayment, new shingles and new flashing. Overall the job took a little under 3 hours from start to finish, the team did a good job cleaning up the debris and hauling away as well. The repair also comes with a 5 year warranty whereas other companies offer a 1 year warranty. I'll keep an eye on the chimney as we continue getting rain the next couple of months. Overall, I would recommend this business to people who need a licensed roofer who does quality work and provides a strong warranty. Trusting your home with a contractor is always a gamble and it really shouldn't be. I will say my home is old so there may be something to consider in reading this review. I really wanted to give this company 5 stars because of Jose, the foreman. He was amazing to work with, attentative, and prompt. Salt of the earth! Carlos, the owner, was also amazing, prompt, straightforward, knowledgeable. They did an amazing job on my roof. Roof itself 5/5. No complaints. However, I do believe the job and the service itself is 3 stars. Not bad but not amazing. I ended up walking away from this experience just kind of meh but wanted to share my honest thoughts so it'll help others. That being said, there were a couple hiccups that happened along the way. No one contacted me prior to the day of my start date/roof removal. The office manager kind of chucked it as the person who supposed to let me know was out sick. They require someone be home to sign off on the work so not letting me know seemed off.. Not a peep about what time theyll be arriving, what to expect. Etc. Yes, they walk you through this process during quotation but thats about 4 to 6 weeks out before the actual day. They also didnt let me know which day or what time. I had to reach out myself multiple times. The team is quick but I also think their speed leaves them a bit careless. After they were done, I was left with a patched ceiling (beautifully patched but I feel like shouldn't have happened in the first place), kitchen/outdoor light that no longer works, loose recessed lighting,, and plumbing leak. They also let you know and disclose that things may break since theres pressure on the roof. Its in the contract but it highlights loose items and such... but realistically, not electrical going out or plumbing leaks based on what ive learned from others and neighbors. I also had my plumbing inspected and redone in September 2024. Now, im not saying they were at fault and that theyre to blame. It could just be my luck that it happened exactly on the day they were up on my roof after living here over a year. Also, very minor but there were trash left around that my inspector found. They were accomodating on making things right although they started to be a little short with me towards the end. I really considered referring them to other friends who needed their roofing done but not sure if my confidence is there if theyll be spending $$$ for an ok experience. read more

So I got a completely new roof with SoCal Roofing Solutions. Here is my honest review about them. The owner himself came out to do the inspection. Out of the 5 roofers I called, he was the only one who decided to go on the roof and access the situation and issue. Once thoroughly checking out the roof, he came down, and showed me pictures, and explained the matter to me, and why my roof was leaking. I scheduled an installation date, and prior to that date, we dealt with paperwork, scheduiling, and color of the roof. The only issue was, we found out the week of that it was to rain, so we rescheduled to the following week. Prior to the install, they contracted with an HVAC person to detatch all the HVAC stuff off the roof, and to have it re-installed after the roof was finished. Day of install we were supposed to meet at a specific time. I got there 30 minutes early, as I hate being late. The person in charge of the install was already there waiting in his car. It was the same thing every day during the install. The person in charge would be there earlier than the quoted time. As they were installing the roof, they explained everything to me, showed me pictures, and so forth. When I addressed some concerns about certain parts of the roof, they made sure to address those issues. Nothing on their part that needed adressing. Once they were almost done, the HVAC person came to do the reinstall of the HVAC system. The HVAC person did a better job putting everything back together, and sealing the system than the people who installed my pretty new unit. Overall, the roof looks great. Kudo's to SoCal Roofing Solutions for a great job at communicating with their customer, keeping me informed, and doing a great install. I almost forgot, after they were done, they took the liberty to clean up the mess, use a magnet to pick up all the nails, and leave the place like it was before they came. It hasn't really rained since the install so once it rains again, I'll give another update, as to how their workmanship is. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. I recently contracted SoCal Roofing Solutions to put a new roof on the back half of my house (the front half was still good because the previous owners put expensive presidential shingles there). Most of the asphalt had come off the back shingles and I needed to get this done before the rain came. I got 5 quotes for the job and the only quote that was lower than SoCal Roofing was using inferior materials and had very bad communication. Carlos and his team, on the other hand, had very prompt and professional communication. They were able to get my roof done in one day, and two days later the rain came! They were fast, did great work, and cleaned everything up. Not a single piece of debris was on the ground when they left. There was one mistake that they made. When they got rid of the old satellite dish on the roof they accidentally cut our wifi cable (the same cable fed the dish and the wifi into the house from a splitter). They came back with a coupler and tried to fix it but couldn't get it working. We were without wifi for a day and a half or so. During this time I got calls, texts and emails from Carlos and the office team apologizing and assuring me they'd cover any cost to get it fixed. We had a guy from Spectrum come out and were up and running in about an hour. We weren't charged for this service. Even so, Carlos wanted to reimburse me for the trouble and pay our wifi bill for the next month. I politely declined; the gesture was enough for me. So why didn't I ding them a star? Because there isn't a company that has ever existed that never made a mistake. What was most important to me was how they responded to handle the situation. And they responded perfectly! I waited until there was significant rain before writing this review as I wanted to be sure I did not experience any leak issues. From the beginning, SoCal Roofing Solutions was just awesome. After the rains in February, we discovered our roof had a few leaks and more were forming. Since we have a "flat roof", we needed to get it replaced asap before it caused damage to the inside of our home. Carlos and his team provided excellent workmanship, value, customer service and communication in the replacement of our roof. Our roof was old -- multiple layers of shingles and original woodshake underneath, and we obtained multiple quotes given how large-scale and $$$ the project. Some were terrible salesmen and tried to upsell me unnecessary roofing materials. Carlos however is a contractor and his expertise is direct/evident upon first having him check out our roof. He gave us a competitive, reasonable offer and was available by texting/phone to answer my questions/concerns quickly without the gimmicks. His team also is very efficient --- a large organized team and delivered the promise of completing the project within 3 days (I was quoted about 5-7 days by other competitors). They also did a great job cleaning around the home and ensuring no nails were found. Communication was also excellent. Project leaders were available by email, phone and texting. They kept us updated on our roofing preferences. Our project was also promised a few weeks sooner than expected as well. They even took care of the city permit. We can tell Carlos is quite passionate in his roofing service and providing the best customer experience. Carlos took over the roofing business after his father and the business has been there for 30+ years.
