I received a few bids for a full roof replacement. The quotes varied and found a couple that would've charged less but SoCal roofing was the only one to give me options. Carlos came out and provided 2 different quotes, one for full replacement and another one for replacing only a portion to include upgrading all the vents. I wasn't expecting that but after consideration, I thought that was the best option. We scheduled the repair and they were prompt, professional, and clean. His team came out on time and worked like a machine to complete in one day. They cleaned up after they were done and then the foreman came out same day to inspect and perform quality control. Trusting your home with a contractor is always a gamble and it really shouldn't be. I will say my home is old so there may be something to consider in reading this review. I really wanted to give this company 5 stars because of Jose, the foreman. He was amazing to work with, attentative, and prompt. Salt of the earth! Carlos, the owner, was also amazing, prompt, straightforward, knowledgeable. They did an amazing job on my roof. Roof itself 5/5. No complaints. However, I do believe the job and the service itself is 3 stars. Not bad but not amazing. I ended up walking away from this experience just kind of meh but wanted to share my honest thoughts so it'll help others. That being said, there were a couple hiccups that happened along the way. No one contacted me prior to the day of my start date/roof removal. The office manager kind of chucked it as the person who supposed to let me know was out sick. They require someone be home to sign off on the work so not letting me know seemed off.. Not a peep about what time theyll be arriving, what to expect. Etc. Yes, they walk you through this process during quotation but thats about 4 to 6 weeks out before the actual day. They also didnt let me know which day or what time. I had to reach out myself multiple times. The team is quick but I also think their speed leaves them a bit careless. After they were done, I was left with a patched ceiling (beautifully patched but I feel like shouldn't have happened in the first place), kitchen/outdoor light that no longer works, loose recessed lighting,, and plumbing leak. They also let you know and disclose that things may break since theres pressure on the roof. Its in the contract but it highlights loose items and such... but realistically, not electrical going out or plumbing leaks based on what ive learned from others and neighbors. I also had my plumbing inspected and redone in September 2024. Now, im not saying they were at fault and that theyre to blame. It could just be my luck that it happened exactly on the day they were up on my roof after living here over a year. Also, very minor but there were trash left around that my inspector found. They were accomodating on making things right although they started to be a little short with me towards the end. I really considered referring them to other friends who needed their roofing done but not sure if my confidence is there if theyll be spending $$$ for an ok experience. read more

I have a wide chimney with incorrect flashing, eventually this led to some water/moisture getting into my ceiling on the inside of my house. With the recent rainstorm, the issue definitely become more noticeable so I decided to get quotes on yelp for new cricket flashing and replacing the damaged area of the roof. I found SoCal Roofing who had great reviews and competitive pricing. I connected with Carlos and exchanged some messages and received an initial quote followed by a final quote. The final quote was higher than the initial quote which surprised me but was still very competitive. I agreed to the price and the work was scheduled later in the week. My main contact for the job was Luis and Chris. Arturo the foreman and his assistant removed the old shingles, old underlayment and old flashing. Next he installed the new cricket made out of plywood, followed by the new underlayment, new shingles and new flashing. Overall the job took a little under 3 hours from start to finish, the team did a good job cleaning up the debris and hauling away as well. The repair also comes with a 5 year warranty whereas other companies offer a 1 year warranty. I'll keep an eye on the chimney as we continue getting rain the next couple of months. Overall, I would recommend this business to people who need a licensed roofer who does quality work and provides a strong warranty. So I got a completely new roof with SoCal Roofing Solutions. Here is my honest review about them. The owner himself came out to do the inspection. Out of the 5 roofers I called, he was the only one who decided to go on the roof and access the situation and issue. Once thoroughly checking out the roof, he came down, and showed me pictures, and explained the matter to me, and why my roof was leaking. I scheduled an installation date, and prior to that date, we dealt with paperwork, scheduiling, and color of the roof. The only issue was, we found out the week of that it was to rain, so we rescheduled to the following week. Prior to the install, they contracted with an HVAC person to detatch all the HVAC stuff off the roof, and to have it re-installed after the roof was finished. Day of install we were supposed to meet at a specific time. I got there 30 minutes early, as I hate being late. The person in charge of the install was already there waiting in his car. It was the same thing every day during the install. The person in charge would be there earlier than the quoted time. As they were installing the roof, they explained everything to me, showed me pictures, and so forth. When I addressed some concerns about certain parts of the roof, they made sure to address those issues. Nothing on their part that needed adressing. Once they were almost done, the HVAC person came to do the reinstall of the HVAC system. The HVAC person did a better job putting everything back together, and sealing the system than the people who installed my pretty new unit. Overall, the roof looks great. Kudo's to SoCal Roofing Solutions for a great job at communicating with their customer, keeping me informed, and doing a great install. I almost forgot, after they were done, they took the liberty to clean up the mess, use a magnet to pick up all the nails, and leave the place like it was before they came. It hasn't really rained since the install so once it rains again, I'll give another update, as to how their workmanship is. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. I recently contracted SoCal Roofing Solutions to put a new roof on the back half of my house (the front half was still good because the previous owners put expensive presidential shingles there). Most of the asphalt had come off the back shingles and I needed to get this done before the rain came. I got 5 quotes for the job and the only quote that was lower than SoCal Roofing was using inferior materials and had very bad communication. Carlos and his team, on the other hand, had very prompt and professional communication. They were able to get my roof done in one day, and two days later the rain came! They were fast, did great work, and cleaned everything up. Not a single piece of debris was on the ground when they left. There was one mistake that they made. When they got rid of the old satellite dish on the roof they accidentally cut our wifi cable (the same cable fed the dish and the wifi into the house from a splitter). They came back with a coupler and tried to fix it but couldn't get it working. We were without wifi for a day and a half or so. During this time I got calls, texts and emails from Carlos and the office team apologizing and assuring me they'd cover any cost to get it fixed. We had a guy from Spectrum come out and were up and running in about an hour. We weren't charged for this service. Even so, Carlos wanted to reimburse me for the trouble and pay our wifi bill for the next month. I politely declined; the gesture was enough for me. So why didn't I ding them a star? Because there isn't a company that has ever existed that never made a mistake. What was most important to me was how they responded to handle the situation. And they responded perfectly! I waited until there was significant rain before writing this review as I wanted to be sure I did not experience any leak issues. From the beginning, SoCal Roofing Solutions was just awesome. I requested estimates from a total of 10 roofing companies but 70% of them were either subpar or shady - Can you imagine that half of them didn't even go onto the roof?? But Carlos, the owner, came personally to inspect my roof and he was the only roofer who spent any real time up on the roof compared to the other roofers who came to give me estimates. Carlos then took the time to explain his assessments and all the sections of the service contract. His willingness to work with me, in adjusting some of the work and the cost, being available to answer all of my questions, and giving me genuinely practical recommendations sealed the deal for me. After the rains in February, we discovered our roof had a few leaks and more were forming. Since we have a "flat roof", we needed to get it replaced asap before it caused damage to the inside of our home. I interviewed 9 roofers and almost sign up with 2 company but did not give me full confidence and trust. Final company that I contacted was SoCal Roofing. I had a great experience with Carlos and his team. Carlos came by to inspect the house himself and Diane was quick to respond to me during the scheduling process. I moved into a house with a roof in terrible condition. I didn't know how terrible it was until Luis and his team came by to start removing the shingles. Turns out there was up to 4 layers of shingles installed and some areas of the roof were not in a good enough condition to nail the shingles on. What was supposed to be a single day job to just remove and replace the shingles had instead taken two days and much more materials. They had to remove/replace the fascia and eves, then install sheathing boards. Carlos was very transparent why those repairs were needed. During the final inspection, the city inspector who was formally a roofer, told me that they did an excellent job and quality work. She scheduled us to meet with dynamic owner Carlos Ruano, who came by a few days later and knowledgeably answered all our questions. Carlos is very professional with a wonderful personality, and he gave us good info on types of roofing materials, and explained the entire process involved to replace our red clay tile roof. We are thankful Carlos told us about a financing program with reasonable terms that helped us cover the costs. During the weeks we were awaiting delivery of our new tiles, it started to rain, and they sent talented Javier to place a large plastic tarp over our roof to keep out the water. He's great. SoCal Roofing did a beautiful job in completing our new roof in less than a week. They even took care of contacting the city inspector to obtain the permit. Speedy completion time, great craftsmanship, friendly customer service, competitive pricing. Pretty much sums up my experience with SoCal Roofing Solutions. This is my first time hiring a roofing company. So naturally I had a lot of questions. Everyone I communicated with at the SoCal team were very friendly (Carlos, Diana, Luis, and Edwin). I had to reschedule my start date two times: once for personal reasons, second time due to weather. Luis was very understanding and flexible until we settled on a start date. My project manager was Edwin, who was patient and answered all my questions and concerns. I had an old style shake roof, so it was even more labor intensive because the crew had to remove the old shake and lay new boards. But it was no problem for the crew. The entire project for a 1400 sq ft home plus detached garage only took 3 days. The crew started at 7:30 am Monday morning, and inspector came Tuesday. The entire project was done by Wednesday at around 1 pm. This is very impressive considering my neighbor's home of similar size took 7. They cleaned up after themselves and anything that fell on my neighbors' property. SoCal Roofing took care of everything with the city including acquiring the permit and contacting the city inspector for inspections. I am very pleased with the completed work. The crew lined the roof edges with metal lining, painted all vents to match the color of the roof, and even installed a new vent on my garage to be up to code. Their work is backed by a 20 year labor warranty. I can really feel a difference with the new roof. The house is now more insulated. I'm writing this review in December, and I no longer need to turn on the heater as much. The temperature in the house doesn't drop as quickly. I can also tell that the shingles they use is quality material and is very water repellent. I'm expecting that the house will stay cooler in the summer too.
