I've needed a new roof for many years and we were on our third roof, so that means it all has to come off. I got five different bids with quite a bit of price range. A crew arrived to strip the old roof off and hauled away the material. Whew what a mess, but they did a good job to keep it as clean as possible. When I realized I needed a new roof after the heavy rains we here in So. Cal got earlier this year and I had significant leaks in our main family room living area I went out and got 3 quotes for replacing the roof and all facia boards which were completely deteriorating as well (don't sleep on the 8 inch vs. 6 inch, makes a HUGE difference). 1 company was local and another a nationwide company who claimed no other company in the country could beat their pricing. Mike's quote came back quite a bit less than both the other 2. Based on that, as well as his 100 + 5 star reviews and only 1 negative review that Mike explained the circumstances behind (a roof repair, not replacement) the choice was simple for my wife and I. Our house is about 2k sq feet. Mike's demo team came in and had the entire roof, that had 4 layers of shingles on it, down to the plywood in 3 hours (I was astonished at the speed these guys worked at). I used this company back in January to replace my roof. FYI don't expect them to start right away. I actually got the estimate back in September and Mike was up front in letting me know that he had about 3 months of jobs booked ahead of me. This was fine since there were no leaks but the roof was showing signs of wear and tear due to it being 25 yrs old and I just wanted to be proactive about replacing it before there were any leaks and also because there was quite a bit of termite damage that I wanted taken care of. Like I said in the previous paragraph he told me work wouldn't start until Dec. or Jan. and with some of the rainstorms we had work started in January on the day he told me. A separate crew that he hired came to remove and haul away the previous roofing material. That crew worked hard and fast. Not only that they were great about cleaning up everything at the end of the day and they were great with my dog in the backyard. On the second day his roofing crew came to address the removal of the termite damaged wood and replacing it. Over the next two days they finished the job and again left the premises clean at the end of each day. The job took about 4 days total and we are very happy with the quality. FYI if you have termite damage like I did you might want to add 10-15% to the estimate since the estimate does not include that. read more

We contracted Everett Roofing to replace our roof last month. Not only was the bid competitive, but Mike was very honest and upfront about the work needed to be done without trying to upsell us on the "latest and greatest" in shingles. This review is solely based on my fiancé's experience, as I never dealt with our roofing issue. So we needed a quote to fix the edge of our flat roof (over hang). The edge has lifted up and causing water to puddle up instead of running off. Some of the wood was rotted. We searched on Yelp for many roofing companies. Some would say they're too busy or don't service the area (when clearly it says they service LA & OC). Its been about a month since we got our new roof from Everett Roofing. We got four estimates for a new roof and decided to go with Everett. Mike came in the middle on pricing, but he was the most prompt in responding to our phone and email questions, honest, flexible on our choice of a "cool roof" shingle, and the friendliest person out of the companies we spoke to. The only downside was waiting for his crew's availability. But it was worth it in the end. When we went into South Coast Shingle in Long Beach to check out the various products available, we asked lots and lots of questions and one sales person cautioned us about going with a roofer who could come out and do the job within a few weeks. The guy said most of the best roofers have long wait lists. We are so happy we listened to that advice and waited to have Everett Roofing do it. As an avid gardener, I was concerned about what would happen to all my plants, especially since many are close to the house and garage. I was concerned they would make a major mess of the yard too, making it unsafe for my chickens. The tear down crew were careful to protect ALL my plants with tarps. Every day, clean up was very thorough, not just on the last day. On the last day of work, Mike used a magnet to clean up any stray nails. One item was damaged during demo, but Mike was very considerate and took prompt care of remedying the problem. The roof looks great and we are happy customers. Like many homeowners my homeowners insurance company dropped me. They said my roof was too old. I frantically called several roofing companies and obtained a handful of quotes.
