I am happy to write a 5 star review for Everett Roofing Co. Our situation was similar to others posting here--we had 3 layers of old shingles so we'd need a full tear off and a new plywood base. Our neighbor had had their roof done by Everett so we saw how they worked and got a good recommendation from her. I called Mike for an estimate and he happened to be in our neighborhood and came right over to check the roof etc out. He was prompt with an acceptable quote and gave me a timeline for starting and finishing. The crew arrived on a Sat morning, unfortunately it was the beginning of a terrible heat wave. But the guys got the roof stripped by noon and the cleanup was perfect! The plywood crew arrived Monday am and I told them to knock off when it got too hot, even if they had to take an extra day to complete the job. Tuesday the shingle-ers came and like Mon, worked until it was really unsafe to continue due to the heat. Weds the whole job--house and garage--was nearly done and on Thurs just the final touches were finished up. All aspects of the Everett crew's work was very satisfactory--the roofing itself looks great, not only are the new shingles attractive but Nate had the old unused vent pipes and old satellite dish removed so it's much neater up there. The clean up was as expected and the communication with Mike, Nate and Eddie was constant. The guys were all careful about not damaging my gardens and Eddie even rehung my patio shade sails for me!! So I heartily recommend Everett Roofing based on our experience and results! read more

I've needed a new roof for many years and we were on our third roof, so that means it all has to come off. I got five different bids with quite a bit of price range. I settled on Everett Roofing due to pricing and labor warranty. (10YRS, not that you're going to need it) I had a few questions and Mike was quick to answer. We gave a small deposit and set a date. A crew arrived to strip the old roof off and hauled away the material. Whew what a mess, but they did a good job to keep it as clean as possible. Next came Nate, Edward, Mark and Emilio and a load of material. A couple of days later and here we are with a new roof. Mike, Nate & Crew have been doing this for many years and they know what they are doing. Everyone was polite, hard working and didn't push or look for extra work to charge me for. So you need a roof? Give Mike a call and see what he can offer, cause if anyone asks me I'll tell them to contact Everett Roofing! read more

They answered my question regarding getting permits. We went with another roofer, but I'm sure this company is very good.

The Mike Everett Roofing Company did a great job re-roofing my son Adam's house a few years ago, so when it came time to do my roof, the Everett Roofing Company was the logical choice! Mike, Nate, Edward, Mark and Emilio worked together perfectly to deliver a beautiful new roof on my home. This project was difficult due to the steepness and size of my roof, but 7 working days later it is all done and looking great! I could not be more pleased! Thank you Mike, Nate, Edward, Mark and Emilio!! read more

I called Everett Roofing after receiving three prior estimates. Michael was on time for the estimate meeting which is always a good sign. The price was favorable and we asked that it be done soon because we were leaving town. They were able to accommodate us and began work in a week. They did a great job with the roof and finished in 4 days. They were clean and punctual. They even helped us cover up items in the garage with plastic so it wouldn't get ruined. After they were done each day they left the area clean. The roof looks great and recently passed city inspection. We are very happy with Michael and his team! "I've been washed in the Water, washed in the Blood. I'm as good as new!" read more

Mike Everett replaced my Dad's roof in 1989. We still have the receipt. Dad used another company 20 years later, but roof leaked after 16 yrs. We chose Mike again this year. The demolition crew that removed the old roof completed that in 5 hours! They kept the yard and surrounding area so clean. The crew that installed new roof completed that in one and a half days. Again super clean! We appreciated Mike's timeliness in giving estimate as well as scheduling the job. The crews were excellent. I will always use Everett Roofing in the future. read more

Used a second time and I was pleased with service as I did the 1st time. I need 85 chars.

Our 35 year old roof needed to be replaced. Got four different quotes and decided to go with Mike based on his Yelp reviews. His crew (including Nate his son) did an outstanding job from start to finish. they were on time, cleaned up each day and kept us informed all along the way. After 35 years, I was convinced we would have major wood damage and need to spend thousands to replace, but Mike said our wood was fine. He is very honest and doesn't try and upsell or scare you into spending more than you need to. So thankful for our new roof and very happy to have worked with Everett Roofing. Highly recommend! read more

When I realized I needed a new roof after the heavy rains we here in So. Cal got earlier this year and I had significant leaks in our main family room living area I went out and got 3 quotes for replacing the roof and all facia boards which were completely deteriorating as well (don't sleep on the 8 inch vs. 6 inch, makes a HUGE difference). 1 company was local and another a nationwide company who claimed no other company in the country could beat their pricing. Mike's quote came back quite a bit less than both the other 2. Based on that, as well as his 100 + 5 star reviews and only 1 negative review that Mike explained the circumstances behind (a roof repair, not replacement) the choice was simple for my wife and I. Our house is about 2k sq feet. Mike's demo team came in and had the entire roof, that had 4 layers of shingles on it, down to the plywood in 3 hours (I was astonished at the speed these guys worked at). Then Mike and his team had the new roof and new facia boards on within a week. Mike is a devout Christian man, which for my wife and I was a very important piece of the whole equation as well. His communication during the whole process couldn't have been better either. If you need a new roof, the choice is simple. You, the outcome and your pocketbook will be very pleased you went with Mike and Everett roofing, I can assure you! God bless! read more

I used this company back in January to replace my roof. FYI don't expect them to start right away. I actually got the estimate back in September and Mike was up front in letting me know that he had about 3 months of jobs booked ahead of me. This was fine since there were no leaks but the roof was showing signs of wear and tear due to it being 25 yrs old and I just wanted to be proactive about replacing it before there were any leaks and also because there was quite a bit of termite damage that I wanted taken care of. Like I said in the previous paragraph he told me work wouldn't start until Dec. or Jan. and with some of the rainstorms we had work started in January on the day he told me. A separate crew that he hired came to remove and haul away the previous roofing material. That crew worked hard and fast. Not only that they were great about cleaning up everything at the end of the day and they were great with my dog in the backyard. On the second day his roofing crew came to address the removal of the termite damaged wood and replacing it. Over the next two days they finished the job and again left the premises clean at the end of each day. The job took about 4 days total and we are very happy with the quality. FYI if you have termite damage like I did you might want to add 10-15% to the estimate since the estimate does not include that. read more

If you're looking for a professional, responsive, reliable roofing company, Everett Roofing is your answer. Our neighbors used Mike and his team so we had a sneak peak of what to expect. Mike was super friendly from day one. It took a couple of months to get started, but Mike was transparent about how busy they were. Wood prices also increased from when we signed the estimate, not Mike's fault, we can all thank pandemic for that (insert eye roll here), lol. The demo started on Sunday, and let me tell you, I have never seen such a professional, hardworking group of worker bees. They were in and out before I could finish my coffee. The actual roofing team was awesome too. Just a bunch of nice guys. Roofing was complete by Thursday, and Mike took care of the permits and city inspection. Our new roof looks amazing! read more

I went through 5 different roof quotes for my home with highly rated roofing companies and this was by far the best option. The price and service is unmatched. Mike was very helpful and honest with what I needed. He didn't try to upsell me like every other company. All the other quotes I got from other roofers tried to upsell me like they were timeshare salesman. Mike gave me exactly what I needed for my roof replacement and that's all I could have asked for. I'm so happy with my choice and the final result. Pick Everett Roofing and don't look back. read more

Mike and his crew redid our roof back in 2018 and since then, we've had ZERO issues so of course, they were the first company I thought of for our roof repairs. Two weeks ago our garage sustained some minor damage from a tree fire that happened directly behind our property. I reached out to Mike and he was able to come check out the damage the next day! His repair estimate was way below what my insurance company quoted me. He even offered an alternative option of patching the damage for free since I'm a past customer! Even if Mike quoted the same amount as my insurance, I'd definitely give my business to him! Mike is very honest, caring, and professional. I wish I had more business to give him, but their work is so good, it may be a long time until I'll have to call him again! read more

I hired Everett Roofing to replace my roof in May 2024. Mike, the owner, is a really great guy to work with. From the first time I reached out, until the completion of the project, he patiently walked me through every step of the process, costs, and what to expect. His son, Nate, and the crew are great guys, and focused on doing really quality work with a positive attitude. What set Everett Roofing apart from the other contractors I talked to was their honesty and transparency. Everett's price was very competitive, and I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. This is an honest family business and I would hire Everette Roofing again for any future work. read more

We contracted Everett Roofing to replace our roof last month. Not only was the bid competitive, but Mike was very honest and upfront about the work needed to be done without trying to upsell us on the "latest and greatest" in shingles. I've had other bids sit me down for an hour to sell me on their business, whereas Mike was straight to the point. The demo to remove the old shingles took a day, and replacing rotted wood panels and installing new underlayment, shingles, flashing and vents took another 3 days on our home (~1,400 sqft single story home with detached 2 car garage). Since the new roof, we've had some serious/historic rain storms the past few weeks and I've been keeping an eye on any leaks, and there have not been any. Mike was great to deal with, kept us up to date on progress, and consulted me when necessary throughout the job. His crew was minimally invasive, and did a good job cleaning up our property after the job was done. I would recommend them to anyone in the LA area looking to replace their roof. read more

Our roof was 30 years old with multiple roofing layers to prove it. I contacted Mike and he showed up the next day to take a look. He was prompt, professional, and had a lot of knowledge on the different approaches we could take. The team he had, whether to take off the old roof or put on the new one, we're friendly, accommodating, and did amazing work. Mike was reasonable and fair with pricing and he stuck with the timetable given for the project. I highly recommend Everett roofing for anyone looking to get work done to their roof. read more

We just had our roof done by Mike Everett. The whole process from getting a quote to the finished roof was excellent. Communication was great, especially when our job date got switched around due to weather. Called for bids to install a Solar attic fan. Mike quickly responded with a bid. I wanted to have a licensed roofer do the job and I reviewed the stellar ratings they had on yelp. We set up a install date and time. The crew showed up on time and the attic fan was installed/cleaned up and gone in less than in hour wow! Pros: fair price, good communication, showed up on date and time agreed on . Would highly recommend. Cons: none read more

This review is solely based on my fiancé's experience, as I never dealt with our roofing issue. So we needed a quote to fix the edge of our flat roof (over hang). The edge has lifted up and causing water to puddle up instead of running off. Some of the wood was rotted. We searched on Yelp for many roofing companies. Some would say they're too busy or don't service the area (when clearly it says they service LA & OC). I've had one company who said they don't service La Palma when they were located next door in Buena Park! Lol. Everett Roofing was swamped with projects, but they still made time for us. We had four companies come to our home to give us a quote & explain their plan of action. My fiancé felt that Mike Everett was the most honest & most affordable out of everyone. Our flat roof has solar panels that may be an issue, but it was not a problem for Mike & his team. Most of the companies wanted us to take the panels off. In the end, Everett fixed the area that was rotting and recommended the silicone coating. They covered the solar panels & the legs to prevent damage. Everett has a great warranty for their labor, which beats out other competitors. The team was fast and professional. Highly recommend. read more

The owner, Mike, came out for a quote right away. Except for the cost of lumber rising, everything came in pretty close to the original quote, there weren't any surprises. His price was reasonable for doing extra, like taking off the top part of our chimney as well. He was super friendly, he even came out to move plywood behind our gate that was delivered out front so it wouldn't get stolen. They were able to get us on the schedule about a month before we expected it. We thought this would be a long project since we had a wood shake roof, but it took less than a week and it looks amazing!! I highly, highly recommend him for any roofing project. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves each day and after each stage of the project. read more

My wife and I are very pleased with the work Mike and his crew did on our roof! It had been over 25 years since the roof was replaced and the facia boards were eaten away by termites and weather. During the process, his crew accidentally threw away some of our roof vents that were in good shape. Mike took the blame and replaced them out of his pocket. Our neighbor was impressed at the way they kept all the old roof, after it was torn off, from falling in his yard. It's hard to find a Company that is honest, reputable, dependable, and follows through on their promises. This is what you get with Mike and his Company. On top of that, the pride in their work is evident in the final result. If you are looking for a new roof, be sure to include Everett Roofing in one of your bids. Mike Everette is amazing! When he first called me he sounded like a great, genuine person. He shows up on 03-06-23 inspects the roof and tells me I will be ok until I'm ready with my other plans I have planned. Our roof looks beautiful thanks to Mike and his Team! It's a piece of art. In the beginning of the process, we weren't certain as to what color we wanted to go with, but Mike brought us wonderful selections to choose from. We have no regrets with our option. The price was fair, no hidden fees. City permits can be extremely annoying, but Mike handled it all and put us at ease with the process. We're blessed to have found them thanks to everyone's reviews. read more

Very helpful and thoughtful advice about materials and options to improve ventilation. Great follow-through

Its been about a month since we got our new roof from Everett Roofing. We got four estimates for a new roof and decided to go with Everett. Mike came in the middle on pricing, but he was the most prompt in responding to our phone and email questions, honest, flexible on our choice of a "cool roof" shingle, and the friendliest person out of the companies we spoke to. The only downside was waiting for his crew's availability. But it was worth it in the end. When we went into South Coast Shingle in Long Beach to check out the various products available, we asked lots and lots of questions and one sales person cautioned us about going with a roofer who could come out and do the job within a few weeks. The guy said most of the best roofers have long wait lists. We are so happy we listened to that advice and waited to have Everett Roofing do it. As an avid gardener, I was concerned about what would happen to all my plants, especially since many are close to the house and garage. I was concerned they would make a major mess of the yard too, making it unsafe for my chickens. The tear down crew were careful to protect ALL my plants with tarps. Every day, clean up was very thorough, not just on the last day. On the last day of work, Mike used a magnet to clean up any stray nails. One item was damaged during demo, but Mike was very considerate and took prompt care of remedying the problem. The roof looks great and we are happy customers. Hopefully Mike and his son will still installing roofs in 20-30 years when it will be time to do it again. read more
