I googled Brea roofing and evidently Universal roofing came up. When I dialed and I talked to Nick T, he told me that they were connected with Brea. As it turns out he was lying. They are not connected in anyway the lady who answered the phone was rude and it was one red flag. When I talked to Nick T he kept on ensuring me that they were connected with roofing. The reason why Brea roofing came to mind and it waso important to me was because the original roof I had in my house which is 40 years old was a beautiful job and I wanted to keep that company.. universal charged me $2300 to replace 1strip of flashing on my leaking skylight. It took all of 1/2 hour to replace.. I was told there was no guarantee on the work. Well we shall see she how good their work is. It is supposed to rain tomorrow..The reason I accepted the conditions was because I trustedBrea Roofing.. read more

Wow, I'm so glad I found this company! Their pricing was significantly more affordable--$7,000 to $10,000 less than other roofing companies I received quotes from--without sacrificing craftsmanship or quality. The team was professional, punctual, and completed the job exactly when they said they would. The payment process was simple and hassle-free, and my new roof looks absolutely amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I worked with Maor, and he was fantastic throughout the entire process. Highly recommend! read more

I wish I could give 10 stars. I recently replaced my roof, using Mike Killeen Quality Roofing. Either he or Michael were on site each day for at least part of the day. The workers showed up on time, left on time, and cleaned up. Mike stayed in constant communication, made a couple recommendations, and listened to my requests. He was also accommodating to my schedule. The project took the scheduled amount of time, without cutting any corners. I have the greatest respect for family-owned business that deliver excellent customer service as well as technical/construction service and am grateful for their commitment to their customers. I am an Interior Designer that has dealt with many roofing companies over the years, and Mike Killeen is by far the best! I would not hesitate to recommend Mike and his crew for any roofing project you have. Do not be surprised if there is a waiting list to get your roof completed. When people find a quality company, they know it and spread the word. Give Mike a call and get on the list! I had Mike re-roof a duplex rental I own. I had a few roofers I have used in the past submit bids, but Mike came in as the most competitive. Once I locked in the contract, Mike made sure the roof was protected from storms. He had his guys tarp a portion of the old roof where it was leaking. They missed a spot over the holiday, and he called another roofing contact to re-apply the tarp. That level of service is very hard to come by now-a-days! Once we were ready to start the job, Mike was able to start one house on Monday, and finish the second before the end of the week! He will be my roofing expert for my personal use and my clients from this point on. Very satisfied customer. read more

If you need roofing work done call Mike Killeen Quality Roofing (562) 924-7717. In 2013 a neighbor recommended Mike to me for a small job to address mold in a portion of a cathedral ceiling located in a small room. Mike's team quickly fixed that problem and he advised me that the house singles would likely need replacing in 10-12 years. I called Mike again in September 2024 for that replacement work and found his bid reasonable, but I had to wait months since he is in high demand. We further delayed the work for several months, but the task was completed in September 2025. Thankfully, Mike's team located and replaced more water damaged facia board and plywood than I had anticipated. They also installed Velux skylights to replace our acrylic dome 2x2 curb-mounted skylights. Throughout the process Mike was gracious and patient in answering all of our questions and responsive to our quirky requests. The workers showed up on time, left on time, and cleaned up. Mike stayed in constant communication, made a couple recommendations, and listened to my requests. He was also accommodating to my schedule. Most of Mike's team have been with him for at least a decade. Mike was personally on site for portions of each workday to ensure the crew new what we wanted to accomplish and to secure any materials they might need. The workmen are competent, responsive, polite craftsmen who work as an efficient team. Although the work was done in the heat of the summer they provided plastic covering for the exposed roof until they could get the felt underlayment installed- an extra ounce of precaution to ensure no moisture damage during the roofing replacement work. They did excellent work with attention to detail that is hard to find. Professional is an understatement when talking about Mike and his crew. This is a local family-owned business that delivered excellent customer service as well as technical/construction service and I appreciate their commitment to their customers. I strongly recommend this class organization! read more

Last year we had a roof leak. based on numerous great recommendations for Mike Killeen roofing on the Neighborhood App, we reached out to Mike. They were booked almost a year out, but Mike dropped by the following week and did a quick repair. We scheduled a repair the next opening he had - which was this month February. I must admit, being a natural skeptic it takes quite a bit to impress me. I was VERY impressed by the quality of work from Mike, Joe and his crew. They did extensive repairs from previously shoddy work by whomever did the last roof and even repaired our chimney! Worth the wait and highly recommend Killeen roofing. William Kruger read more

Mike Killeen and his crew did an amazing job on our house in Lakewood. They were extremely nice to work with, punctual, reliable and cleaned up every day. Mike and Joe are perfectionists, and their professionalism makes it a pleasure to deal with them ! They make Mike Killeen Quality Roofing one of the rare companies that delivers MORE than they promise. I originally had them work on small repairs on my personal residence (because they advised me that I didn't need a new roof yet) - they were very responsive in starting the job because of expected bad weather soon. Most recently they completed a roofing job for my rental property (because it definitely needed a new roof) - the wait time for them to be available to start a new roofing job is very long, but when they start the job they complete it quickly and "better than expected". I trust them completely and give my highest recommendation for their valuable service. read more

We are currently starting a top to bottom renovation of the exterior of our home starting with the roof. Besides replacing the old roofing shingles we had Mike Killeen Quality Roofing install new vents in the roof above our vaulted ceiling to prevent occasional occurrences of mold. We also put in new dormer vents to cool the garage and the attic. There was also some termite-damaged wood in the eaves that needed replacing. Mike and Joe were easy to talk to and communicated well throughout the entire process. Joe and the crew arrived on time each morning and were very friendly and professional. The quality of their work and attention to detail is outstanding. At the end of each workday everything was cleaned up. Joe even did a few extra little things for us free of charge. It looks great! Joe is very knowledgeable about a lot of things and offered some great renovation suggestions to improve the look of our home. I first contacted Mike years before he actually replaced our roof. We had developed a leak and he came out to take a look, told us that we had some years left on the roof, and patched the area that was leaking - free of charge! The exact same thing happened a couple of years later and he again came and patched the problem. He said that the roof definitely would need to be replaced soon and told us up front that he had quite a lengthy wait, but encouraged us to get it fixed by someone else if we didn't want to wait. We decided to wait for Mike and are glad that we did. Excellent communication, up front with everything, guys came out and did the work on time - even with a few days of rain mixed in. Job site was cleaned up at the end of each work day. I have the utmost confidence in his work and knowing that I can give him a call with questions or issues in the future is very comforting. read more

During the torrential floods of 2019, my sad, old roof failed me. It developed a leak. I checked various roofers, ruled out ANY that did not have an active California license. Mike Killeen responded quickly. He is very upfront about his schedule: he told me that there would be a substantial wait. But! He covered over the leaky spot to tide me over (no charge). He was right on time for when he said they would start. They were fast and efficient and tidy and friendly. He complied with all local laws and worked with the building inspector for the final follow up. (Honest.) Recommended. read more
