I recently wrote a review for this company. It was an error on my part. There are 2 other companies with similar names. This is not the offending company. I am not certain which company it was but I have an update. The storm here yesterday was bad. My neighbors had multiple leaks throughout their home and garage. It seems the roofers missed boards. Nails came right through the ceiling in places water running down the walls behind the paint in bedroom and garage. Be careful when you hire any company with this name. Picking a roofing company is no easy feat, especially with the cost of it being my main concern. After receiving quotes from 5 different companies, we decided that Prestige was the right choice for us! We needed a traditional roof but also a surrounding pergola (around the house) roofed as well. John came out to give an estimate and provide all the options to suit our needs. We wanted something that would fit the Spanish look but not be too heavy for the existing roof structure. Hence why we chose the Clay Lite options. John was very knowledgeable, professional, and genuine. What we enjoyed most about John was that he never pressured us and in all our interactions with him he was very transparent about the process and the cost of it all. Prestige Roofing gets my highest praise on all levels. John was the only company at first to come out to my home and even give me his opinion on whether a new roof was necessary prior to a solar installation. He was the most prompt, thorough in responding to my questions and he was definitely better priced than other quotes. The installers came out in full force and got most of the project done in 2 days. Then we had to wait for solar panels to be installed in which the team came back afterwards to finish the rest of the roof. Pictures don't do it justice but they installed asphalt shingles under the panels and laid tiles around (per HOA rules). If you look at bottom of the roof, they installed tiles where there was about. 2-3 inch space from the edge of the solar panel to the bottom of the roof. Immaculate attention to detail. Given that roofing is something you do maybe once in a lifetime, peace of mind is everything and I can confidently say Prestige Roofing provides that in spades. read more

I had Prestige Roofing come by a couple weeks ago to give me a quote, John Arellano had come to my grandpa's house in order to help me with that; gave me a representation about the reroof system but never followed up with my grandfather and I. I just hope no one else or their families get their time wasted when looking for a roofing company. The reason why I say this is because John promised me to send me a quote and contact me back but instead he didn't keep his end of the bargain; I feel it makes the company look bad by making false promises. I am glad to say we didn't work with them, who knows what other problems we would have encountered if we did work with them. Nonetheless, I did have another roofing company to come out and actually follow up with me and send us estimates that same day they came out to look at our roof. We have already decided on a roofing company to replace our roof; went with a local company here in Orange County. Committing to a roofing company is a challenging process for any homeowner. Pricing/budget is often the number one priority for most home owners, especially when you are spending $$,$$$ thousands of dollars. Some homeowners may not realize that by opting for a cheaper quote, you may also be receiving a poorer execution with guys doing a half ass job. Eventually these businesses will cause you more headaches when issues arise. Prestige Roofing Quote: Moderate range quotes compared to multiple other quotes. It wasn't the most expensive and it wasn't the cheapest compared to same shingle types. John came out to inspect, took measurements and provided an estimate. I received the quote after about 2 days. Materials: (4/5). The roofing shingles came from a larger manufacturer and distributor: ABC Supply Company. Luckily there weren't any issues I spotted with my eye when the materials were delivered. Labor: (4/5). I was impressed that there were over a dozen guys removing old plywood on initial day as I opted to re-do the entire plywood. The guys were efficient as tear down took about 4 to 5 hours. Over the course of other days, fewer guys showed up. Typically these guys arrived around 8:30AM and were done by 4PM over the course of 4 days. John's father in-law supervised the employees on the second and third day in the afternoon. Communication: (2/5). John showed up the first day of the tear down but our family did not see him physically after that. We were able to communicate with him but his father in law was typically our point of contact. He came by afternoons to check on the guys but did not show up on the last day. There were a couple things I wished Prestige could improve in terms of their follow through and communication. 1) The secretary wasn't the nicest and wasn't informed correctly. Demanding final deposit before any inspection was completed. Not relaying information beforehand when employees showed up to fix corrections. 2) There was no indication for which shiplap needed to be changed out. It appeared that the guys had leftover unused wood that they used to replace certain items. It saved me money, but I wished they would've communicated that as most companies would provide you a new invoice for any new shiplap/wood used. Execution: (3/5). There were multiple errors that were rectified when my family pointed them out. I was a bit disappointed that I had to reach out to John after a rainstorm as there were leaks a couple months after completion. It was an easy fix and apparently the guys forgot to install a vent cap that prevented water from leaking from the side and inside one of the vents. The father in law apologized for not coming out and inspecting the guys on the last day. I understand this is a small family owned business, but they definitely have room for improving service. When there are too many projects Prestige are completing at one time, they might not be doing a thorough job. I'm generally pleased with the overall completion, but wonder if there are other companies that would provide more attention to detail and service. read more

Since moving into our new house Jan 2019, we've been upgrading here and there, and one of the things I wanted to update was our roof. The previous owners had Eagle Lightweight Tile (a barrel tile) installed 29 years ago, and we started having more and more issues with cracked tiles and a small leak. After contacting Eagle we were told they would replace our tile for free (tile and delivery) we just had to pay for the underlayment, labor and any wood replacement. After having about 6-7 quotes from roofing companies, we contacted John the owner of Prestige Roofing. I have to admit, at this point I was so over this process, our quotes were all over the place, from lowest to highest there was a $15k dollar difference. When John at Prestige came by for the quote, my wife and I were immediately impressed, he had tons of knowledge and most importantly, he didn't try to upsell us on everything, nor did he try and nickel and dime us to death. (Prestige quote was extremely competitive) John was completely professional and extremely informative. He explained everything from beginning to end. One thing he assured us was that he would not pull our crew in the middle of our job to go work on another job (which is pretty common in roofing) Due to his professionalism, we went with him. In talking with our Eagle Tile rep, he assured us as well that John and Prestige Roofing was an excellent choice and he even assured us we'd get good quality work. We decided to upgrade our underlayment from double ply felt to the Titanium PSU-30, which is an incredible synthetic underlayment that peels and sticks to the roof, and has an amazing warranty. This really allows complete peace of mind knowing that even if we have cracks or damaged tiles, we have a barrier that will withstand the rain or heat to a far greater extent. The price for this upgrade at the end of the day is minimal. John and his ENTIRE Company that I dealt with, were excellent when it comes to both service and communication. Whenever I texted him or called into the office, I was always met with a timely reply. Roofing your house can be stressful, and everyone at Prestige Roofing understands this. The quality of their work is impeccable, the crew every day were very polite and very respectful of our property as well as our neighbors. Even though there were sometimes 7-10 guys onsite, they were respectful of our neighbors which was important to us. The job took about 5 days, and every day they cleaned up everything and left no trash anywhere. The whole job they would have a guy running around cleaning as they went, so it wasn't like all the trash etc just piled up. They also used a magnetic nail sweeper constantly, which assured that no nails got left behind. I cannot begin to tell you how pleased 100% we were with John and everyone from Prestige Roofing. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their roof replaced, repaired or really just anything roof. We had a small roof leak in our son's bedroom. It was minor, but I wanted to catch it before it became major. John replied to my request for a quote within minutes, and scheduled a time to come out for a free estimate two days later. He was extremely personable and seemed honest and fair. I asked him to walk around the rest of the roof and let me know if there was any other maintenance that needed to be done. A lot of people would have used that as an opportunity to upsell me to something I didn't need, but John was honest and said everything else looked like it was in good condition. He got back to me the next day with his quote, and it was the best quote we had gotten. (One place quoted us 5x the price. The others were in the same ballpark. But I felt like John was the most trustworthy and would have gone with him even if it was a little more.) The job was booked for the following weekend. Peter showed up and was extremely pleasant. They did the job in about 4 hours, and showed me pictures of the work afterwards. They found the likely source of the leak, and took care of the job as quoted. No unexpected charges or overages. My only extremely tiny complaint is that they booked the job for 7:00 AM on a Saturday, which is super early for me. However, they didn't show up until 8:30 AM. This was actually perfect, because I realized after I booked 7 AM that our HOA prevents any work earlier than 8:30 AM. I was nervous that they would be banging around super early and my neighbors would complain. I just would have preferred they actually booked it for 8:30 AM so I could have gotten an extra hour of weekend sleep. :-) That's a super minor detail though -- I would definitely recommend them. We recently had our roof done with Prestige Roofing, Orange (there's another one w the same name in Anaheim). The quote was a bit higher than other contractors, but the work was reasonable, except additional wood replacements were added during the process. It was a good-sized crew. Be sure to remind them to clean after themselves as bottles and food trash were thrown everywhere, plus lots of nails and small debris flown onto our yards. The supervisor promised to have our gutter installed, and three times no one showed up to get the job done. We texted and left a message, and still they haven't returned our calls. This is a great disappointment bc we have referred our friends to them. read more

I went through the process of replacing my roof. I had a general idea of what I wanted - Corning Owns with a Ridge Vent system. I reached out to 3 different vendors for quotes on replacing my roof. In terms of the estimate experience, Prestige was the best in terms of presenting a proposal. John came out and measured my roof in person. He explained the types of roofs available and explained the system I was interested in. He sent me a detailed proposal that showed me what was in scope. It also had a schedule of costs if any change orders were required. He had the best pricing, but his proposal was the most transparent on total cost from the quotes I received. I signed back in November of 2021, and they commenced work in January 2022. They have their own dump truck with their business advertised across it. It definitely isn't a fly by night type of operation. The demo crew worked really fast at getting my existing roof removed. Lupe the crew supervisor walked me through what was included in the contract, and showed me what change orders were recommended. I appreciated that he called out issues that I knew were superficial (like facia boards matching) and left it up to me if I wanted to address it now or later. Peter was a good guy as well, answering questions I had after Lupe moved on to the next job. Yea, and after 3 days on roughly 3400 sq feet of roof, I had a new roof with ridge vents. They did a good job of cleaning up the property. They weren't perfect, but, it's hard to clean up all the granulars from the old composition. So, I highly recommend Prestige. Definitely give them a ring if you need roof work done. read more

My property management hired this company to replace our roofs. The team of works they sent out for the job are highly unprofessional since the first day they were throwing their water bottles and energy drinks in my back yard throughout the day. When it came to the end of the first day for clean up not one of the employees asked for permission to enter my backyard. I have a dog. The next day when they returned the workers went directly in my backyard without asking again they could of let my dog out. At the end for clean up the workers entered my yard again without asking at one point the workers were climbing over my fence to enter other residents backyards. Now today they arrived went directly into my backyard placed equipment in my dogs bed and I seen they had some tools in the backyard at 8am I returned home at 4:30pm I just realized they plugged their power tools into my house where I have my deep freezer plugged in instead of the property's outlets now ill be paying for it on my electric bill ontop of my freezer turned off and now my food is defrosted. Every time I call the company office no one answers it rings to voicemail. Maybe this review will finally get the company's attention because I will not be the one responsible paying for the electricity they used without my permission!! read more

Our property manager suggested Prestige Roofing among three companies for quotes for a new roof at our Garden Grove rental home. The quote was very thorough and professional. I hired them not as the least expenseive but as the company I felt would deliver the best value, though they werent the highest bid either. The communication from the office and the field was quick and thorough using text, email and phone when necessary throughout the entire job. The roof was the orginal from the 50's and was in need of much more than could be seen from the exterior layers. The change order necessary to add more sheathing was very reasonable and timely. Pictures from before, during and after were provided by John and could show the detail and craftsmanship the crew put into their work. In fact, I actually showed the pictures to another roofing contractor in my area and he was very impressed with how Prestige replaced the entire rafter tail back into the wall as opposed to cutting and attaching at the face of the wall.
