Needed a solar panel cleaning. Reached out to Solar Panel Doctors after I was referred to them from another cleaning maintenance since my roof's pitch was 28 degrees so the original couldn't head up there for insurance purposes. They were able to clean it and it looks great. I do have 3 optimizers out so I will have them come out and fix those soon. Highly Recommend and very affordable. read more

Update: David refunded the $450 I originally paid, and asked me to take down this review. The broken roof tiles are still unresolved. They scheduled a technician to repair them twice, and no one showed up either time. I'm now paying a roofer to fix the damage their technician caused on their first visit. read more

Trustworthy and dependable. I contacted them because our solar array had stopped producing. Daniel came out and quickly got it back up and running. And while he could've told me that my older inverter needed to be replaced, he instead showed me how to cycle the existing unit to get it to restart on my own while it's still functional. I also had him get our panels cleaned for a very reasonable price, which is when a minor accident happened. Daniel took responsibility and fixed the issue as if it'd never happened. The best companies shine when something goes wrong, and that's definitely the case here. Would highly recommend. read more

Highly recommend The Solar Panel Doctors. They responded quickly, scheduled my appointment easily, and found my problem and fixed it for the amount quoted same day. Their price was fair based on other solar repair companies that I researched. No unnecessary up charges. They were very knowledgeable and if I ever have another solar problem, I would not hesitate to call them again. Like so many other solar companies, the one I chose went out of business. Solar Panel Doctor is a reputable company that I can contact in case of solar issues. read more

After getting a shady upsell quote from another local solar company (Energy Aid), I found the Solar Panel Doctors and I'm VERY glad I did! Their quote for repairing my existing solar system was fairly priced and Jasmine in the main office was incredibly helpful. When it came time to make the repair, technicians Daniel and Marc were friendly, fast, clearly good at what they do, and they did a terrific job. It took less than an hour to make the repair and get my system fully running again. I'm very pleased, and anytime I need any other work done (maintenance, clearing, expansion) I'm definitely going to call The Solar Panel Doctors--highly recommended. Thanks, guys! read more

David efficiently cleaned the solar panels, demonstrating the microfiber technique and explaining the system's functionality afterward.

I needed 3 panels removed and reinstalled for a roof repair. Jasmine on the phone was super helpful and was able to give me a quote over the phone because of its simplicity. David came and was super informative and patient. Taught me how to clean the panels and how to read the LED lights. Anyway, he got the job done in a timely fashion and I couldn't be happier. They seem like an upstanding business. Highly recommended read more

I recommend these guys. I have had them out to my house 2 or 3 times for either issues with system or for cleaning the panels. I found them very quick to get back to me when I leave a message or someone just phone, which is nice these days. They've been quick efficient and very professional so yeah, I would recommend them. I was very impressed with the solar panel doctors. The team was nice, friendly and very communicative. I have also referred them to friends as they were fast and affordable. Nick the owner has tethered a great team around him. The Solar Doctors, have helped me w a variety of solar issues that started when my solar company went bankrupt the day after the panels were put on my house, incorrectly. They have helped to teach me more about the solar panels I purchased. They helped me get them working. They also helped me find, buy and install a battery, once I found out Solar on grid, actually gives me a higher electricity bill than I've ever had, prior to Solar. However, once battery has been added, my bills are truly better. I find Nick and his crew @ The Solar Panel Doctors trustworthy and knowledgeable. Their prices are reasonable too for all of their efforts to get things going right for you. read more

Our inverter stopped working so the mfr sent us a replacement. Called our installer to swap it out but lo and behold, they had gone out of business. When I researched different companies who do this type of work, I discovered there are a lot of scammers/crooks who charge inordinate prices. Went with SPD bc their reviews were solid and now I know why! First and foremost, their communication is great. They quoted us a reasonable price for the job, gave us their CSLB # to check them out, and scheduled us for the same week. David came out for the job and was very professional and informative about how long inverters typically last, diagnostic tests he had to run to make sure everything checked out, etc. and was done in a timely manner. Our app wasn't working so they had to request to transfer access from our old installer to SPD and they were great about it. All in all, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about SPD! You would think everything I mentioned would be a given for a contractor, but sadly it isn't the case in this day and age. Just very thankful there are still companies like SPD who work hard, do honest work, and are professional and helpful! Thank you, SPD! Hope we don't need your services again for a long time, but when we do, you better believe we'll be calling you!! read more

We are thrilled to have connected with The Solar Panel Doctors! Recent storms caused some major damage to our pool-heating solar panels, and we were unsure of how to get the mess resolved. Within a few days of our call for help, Robert came out and fixed the damage in less than an hour (wow!!!) and hooked us up with a really good quote to replace what we'd lost. Really happy I found The Solar Panel Doctors. My system went down after 4 years of service. The original installers were no longer in business and it seemed to me no one wanted to take a look at it. The Solar Panel Doctors came out accessed the problem. My inverter went out, lucky for me it was under warranty. The doctors got in touch with the original manufacturers and got them to send a replacement inverter. The Doctors got the the replacement installed just in time before a heat wave came through. Highly recommend these guys. read more

The Solar Panel Doctoes were professional and courteous the solar panel doctors quoted me $300 for a site diagnosis and repair. We were without Solar for six months without knowing that it was non-operational. When we got our bill for the end of the year payment, it showed that the panels weren't working for sometime. we called the solar panel Doctors and Nick was able to guide us to a quick solution and fix that seemed too good to be true. We would highly recommend them to anyone with Solar! read more

Amazing service from start to finish! We were referred over by another Solar repair shop due to the special work that needed to be done with the circuits on the roof. Not only was Nicholas responsive throughout scheduling an appointment, David did an amazing job fixing our solar. He took detailed pictures and shared what the problem was. Price was reasonable and repair was even better! If there's any solar issues, Solar Panel Doctors are my go to! Thank you! read more

The Solar Panel Doctors was the ONLY solar company I could find who were willing to help us with an uninstall/reinstall of leased solar panels and actually be helpful throughout the process of getting a quote. Jose was SO helpful - every time I had a question he either answered his phone or called me back very timely. Every other solar company we dealt with it was like they didn't even want our business - IF we got a call back it was days later. Our roof was leaking so we couldn't afford to take our time waiting for companies to get back to us. The Solar Panel Doctors gave us a reasonable quote, sent very professional guys out quickly to get the removal done, so that I could get my roof replacement done. This is the only company I will trust with solar panel service going forward. Ask for Jose, he's the man! read more

The inverter has had an error code for a while and apparently they no longer manufacture this specific model. It's been so frustrating not being able to find a servicer to help and to be wasting all this sun power! Luckily, after much calling around, we were able to get an appointment the next day with Solar Panel Doctors. David came out and thoroughly checked out our system, and during the first hour of diagnosis discovered some faulty wiring on the panels and corrected that, hoping it would trigger the inverter to get back online. Unfortunately, that didn't work because there was also damage to the circuit board. In any case, he was extremely knowledgable and gave clear explanations and options for what needs to be done. We will be scheduling the actual repair once parts are located and are feeling very confident now that we have a company we can trust to help repair, maintain and optimize our home solar system going forward. read more

We had an issue with the solar panels were birds were starting to nest underneath. I spoke to Nick about the problem, sent some pictures, and was provided with a quote (reasonable price). Before reaching out to "The Solar Panel Doctors" I reached out to various vendors, but as soon as I mentioned it was purchased from Tesla, they made some lame excuses not to provide a quote or service. We set up an appointment for several days later, and two gentlemen did a fantastic job to install mesh around each section of the solar panels. Not an easy task as 12 panels are situated on different sides of the roof. They cleaned the panels, the mess that the birds caused, and the surrounding area. Since then, we have not had any further issues with the birds. Professional and courteous. Highly recommended! Thank you read more

From start to finish our experience was excellent. Communication was on point and customer service was great. Our inverter was replaced successfully. Done everything from repair to cleaning for me. They have serviced my panels for almost 10 years. Would not use anyone else.

We had problem with our Solar panel few weeks ago where one of the panel not functional. I tried to contact our the company sold us our system but was no longer in business. I guess this is the problem many home owner face - an unusable warranty!!! So I yelped, contacted few solar panel repair and found Solar Panel Doctors. Nicolas was pretty responsive, quoted a very reasonable price, sounded professional and knew the product and what he was doing. His quote was also the lowest. We ended up with him repair our solar panel, washed our panels, and added 4 panels to our system. We had issue with our monitoring system and he helped us to replaced with a new gateway. There are many solar company who can install your system. But not many would do repair and maintenance. Nicolas is definitely the one I would refer to, and he is now on top of my referral list. read more

I am a fan of solar power and even though the company that installed our 36 panels in May of 2013 did not do the installation correctly, which lead to a leak in the roof that had to be repaired. We did not allow more interior damage with all the rains taking place in Southern California. That is what lead us to The Solar Panel Doctors for their help to get the roof repairs done. The panels had to be removed first for our roofer's American Highland Roofing to be able to access the area that needed repair. When I first spoke with Mr. Anderson of The Solar Panel Doctors he was very polite and explained what needed to be done and was ready to get on the job right away. Because this is a rental property and we live in another state, Mr. Anderson met with our property manager Mr. Dante Walker and contacted American Highland Roofing. They worked together to get the repairs done as soon as possible and the work is complete now. Mr. Anderson got crews on site as soon as the weather allowed and as soon as they got the panels removed they let American Roofing know so they could do their repairs as soon as they were finished The Solar Panel Doctors were back to the location to reinstall the panels. Now the panels are back online producing solar energy. Thank God for both companies and the excellent work that they did. Now we will go after the company that did the installation incorrectly for payment or I will make sure they go to jail for not living up to the warranty on their workmanship, which does not expire until May of 2023. Yes, we give The Solar Panel Doctors a five-star rating and will tell others to use their service if needed. read more

This review is long overdue. I've been having issues with our solar system that was installed by another company and they couldn't/refuse to fix the system. So I had Solar Doctors come out and diagnose the problem. They took the time to test all the panels and the inverter. They worked overtime across a span of a couple days to pinpoint the problems. Nicholas even took the time to personally call me and explain thoroughly what was going on with the system. Whenever I had a question, he was responsive every time. Even a year later, I called Solar Panel doctors seeking their advice on the system, and Alfredo was super helpful. Compared to our original solar company, Solar Doctors provided exemplary service! read more

The company figured out my solar issue. After contacting the inverter company a few times, they were able to locate the issue. Very good company! My father had an issue with a few his solar panels. I found the solar panel doctors on yelp, and based on their reviews, they seemed like a good honest company. Solar doctors came out on time and fixed the issue promptly for a reasonable price. No nonsense, no surprises, just good work. I purchased my solar system back in 2016 from American Solar direct. Unfortunately like many solar companies they went bankrupt :-(. Just last month my solar system broke and I had no where to turn too. That is until I found the Doctor! My experience with The Solar Panel Doctors has been excellent. Nicholas was friendly and responded very fast. He made an appointment and showed up on time. He diagnosed the issue in short order. On top of that he was honest with me that my inverter's motherboard was covered under warranty. He took care of ordering the motherboard and in a week he will come back an install it for me. It's people and companies like this that are hard to come by so if you have any issues with your solar system please reach out to "The Solar Panel Doctors" and support those that take care of their customers. I highly recommend them. read more

We had an inverter issue where our panels hadn't been producing power for 16 months unbeknownst to us, sadly. These guys came out and within one hour identified the problem and fixed it. Immediately our 6 year old system came to life and generated over 4K watts. They were on time, very friendly and professional. I am signing up for a service plan with them. They were great in communicating on the app. I highly recommend them! read more

The Solar Panel Doctors came to my rescue. The Company that is replacing my roof; DaBella, uses them all the time and they were highly recommended. I needed my solar panels removed and reinstalled since March of 2023, so I could have my roof replaced. Sunnova, the company that installed them originally gave me the runaround for 6 months because they do not have enough labor to remove and reinstall panels. The support I received by Sunnova was below standard and ultimately they cancelled the one appointment I was able to secure on July 19, 2023. I finally asked them to authorize The Solar Panel Doctors to R&R my Solar Panels and them were extremely flexible and available to help me. The scheduling was easy and Alfredo was extremely friendly! The guys showed up on time and took great care in removing the panels. They were very efficient and professional. I would definitely refer them to anyone that is in the same predicament that I was in. read more

These folks did great work for us last year in diagnosing and handling the logistics regarding a warranty issue. Their price was reasonable we thought as they had to diagnose the short circuits in and then remove the old panels. They handled the difficult issues regarding warranty replacement of those faulty panels, then returned to install the replacement new panels. read more

We have had our solar panels for two years. The first year we broke even with Edison. This last month we received a $1500 bill for the year! We contacted Sungevity, our solar panel system installers, to help us troubleshoot. Unfortunately, Sungevity went bankrupt after one year of the installation of our solar panels. We were told that the new owners would honor the warranty of 20 years. Here is the response we received from the new owners--Solar Spectrum: "You were a customer of Sungevity, Inc. That company was dissolved in a bankruptcy proceeding last year. In that proceeding, the Sungevity brand was purchased and is now being used by a different company than the one you originally did business with. Sungevity's customers were not a part of that acquisition. You should have received notification of this fact through the bankruptcy sometime last year. Unfortunately, this means that there is no longer a company standing behind the warranty and performance guarantee included with your system. If you are having problems with your system, you will need to find a service provider in your area to evaluate and address the issue." Yes, we were thrown under the bus! So,I figured the first step was to get the solar panels cleaned (the rain never came...) . I called Solar Panel Care & Repair and asked if they could send someone tomorrow morning (Saturday). Nicholas was very accommodating and said he would. He was very punctual and prepared. He took pictures of the panels before and after. And, he even cleaned my skylight at no extra charge! The system started to generate more electricity as soon as the panels were cleaned! Nicholas then checked out our system to make sure it was functioning correctly which it was (at no extra cost). I don't write many reviews unless I've had exceptional service by exceptional people ( I rather be hiking). But, Nicholas is professional, hard-working, and has integrity. I wouldn't have known the difference if something was working or not on the system. I'm sure many solar panel owners will be looking for someone to turn to since so many Corporate Solar Panel Companies are going bankrupt. Based on Nicholas' performance, Solar Panel Care & Repair is my" go to" with any solar problems and cleaning. I trust this budding new small business, in contrast, to all the bells and whistles of the large players. read more
