We recently had this company redo the exterior of our house with Hardie board and shingles, and overall it was a really positive experience. The crew worked incredibly fast--they finished everything in just four days without cutting corners, which was impressive. Everyone on the team was respectful and easy to have around, and the quality of the work turned out great. One thing I really appreciated was how the main supervisor kept checking in with me throughout the project to make sure I was happy with how things were looking and to get my input on details. They also coordinated smoothly with a separate window installation company, which made the whole process a lot less stressful on our end. At one point I changed my mind last minute about the placement of my light fixtures, and they were super accommodating and took care of it without any issue, which I really appreciated. This company has the worst customer service and communication. You have to tex Hallie to get a response if that because they can't answer their phone. They've had my window for months the 1st window they had it in January 2024 and had to wait 3months till March 2024 to receive it just to get a defective window when I asked them back in January when they received it to please check the window in advance in case it came defective it would of saved a lot of time and their response was we always check the windows prior but I guess not this time and now they have my 2nd window and won't deliver it unless they have another customer within a 30 minute radius to me. This isn't good customer service if they don't want to driver to my home they shouldn't of accepted the job I even offered to pick it up and install it myself... find another company that will put you first! read more

Awesome Team! It started with Eric quoting the job and providing recommendations and detailed explanations on our options. And Debbie followed up on scheduling and payments. The installation team was very thorough and experienced. We had Hardie Plank Lap siding (Cedarmill) installed on both the first and second stories on the front facing walls of our house. They did a great job removing the previous wood and stucco sections. They trimmed around our windows and stories like old school carpenters. We were so impressed by the meticulous work from all of the installers -- metal workers, carpenters, and siding hangers. We highly recommend Specialty Siding. I initially contracted with this company to replace 4 window panes and the exterior thin metal siding trim that originally surrounded each of those window frames. From the very beginning, I found myself constantly having to follow up with their office to make the initial inspections, provide the quote, schedule the work etc. Unfortunately, I stuck with them despite the issues because replacing the exterior metal siding surrounding the frames is not something most window replacement companies are equipped to handle. Finally after 3 months and much prodding on my end, they sent their representative to perform the work. Immediately upon seeing the metal siding trim that they had been contracted to replace, the Specialty Siding representative started complaining about how useless these types of trims are and how much better it would be to remove the siding and replace the entire windows (rather than just the panes). Of course, all this would cost substantially more than the original quote but I agreed since he assured me that this was the better long-term solution and that they would do a first rate job on the installation and especially on restoring and repainting the original wood window frames underneath the metal siding to match the other windows in the home. Further, the new rep sold me on the lifetime warranty that I would receive with the full replacement of the windows. So instead of doing what we all initially agreed upon, the installer ordered new windows and told me they would be back in 2 weeks to finish the job. 6 weeks later, the windows finally arrive and the installer came back to finish the job. As you can see from the pictures, they did not deliver what they promised and somehow believed that this mickey mouse work would be acceptable. I wasn't there on the day of the final install but when I came back to see the work, I immediately called them and sent them pictures and asked them repeatedly to fix the job. After multiple unanswered phone calls and emails over the past month, nothing has been done. They refuse to stand behind their work and the so-called lifetime warranty is worthless. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and grief and find yourself a professional company instead. read more

Reached out to specialty siding over two months ago, was given an email to contact and send plans to. Sent plans only to not hear from anyone for weeks. Called them back and was told they received plans and would get back to me, two more weeks goes by still don't hear anything. We call to make sure they have us on a schedule to take a look at project because it's a specialty item. Two more weeks nobody calls or replies to our emails. We were very clear when we first contacted them that if they could not help us to let us know so we can search and find someone who can. Not a common courtesy call or email in 8 weeks. Very disappointed with Nick and this company. I have since found multiple contractors who are now in process of helping get this started. My experience with Nick has been terrible and I'm glad they did this before project began because this would've been his way of communicating and that would've delayed our entire home project. I'll never know the quality of work because of their missteps providing a bid. Eric, came out to take measurements and never followed up. He was MIA for months. I finally decided to contact the office manager who was nice and apologized. She and the owner came out to redo my bid. Turns out Eric under bid my job by a lot because he didn't account for insulation (state required) and the windows I specified. Owner said he'd give me a break for the mishap and gave me a verbal quote that again was bogus. The office manager sent me a bid following the verbal quote that was many thousands higher than the original and verbal quote from the owner. They've done work in the neighborhood that looks good but I lost my confidence in their ability to follow though, keep their word, and handle business in a professional manner. read more

Roger came to my house yesterday to install 2 Alpine Windows that are under warranty. He was kind enough to call me 30minutes in advance so I could work as long as I could. When we met he inspected the windows and removed the old ones and replaced the new ones in less than an hour. I was amazed how fast he completed the work. I asked him if he could inspect all of my windows and go over proper maintenance with me which he was glad to do. In the process we found 4 more windows that needed to be replaced under warranty and he taught me how to perform caulking in the inside of the window. Roger, thank you for being a stand up guy. Specialty Siding did an abundance of work to our exterior of our home. From removing stucco and old siding to replacing decorative wood and Fascia boards. We had them replace window trim and garage door trim. Then they put the exterior wrap and oh they also replaced numerous termite damaged studs in our garage. The final product was putting up new James Hardie Fiber Cement siding and we incorporated staggered shingles in the gables. It looks amazing. We are EXTREMELY happy with the outcome of our project that we had envisioned for many many months. Dave came out to do our quote and then came out a few other times at our request to make sure we were all on the same page. Dave definitely stands by his word on what was delivered. Manuel was the foreman and Manuel and his crew worked very hard and made sure to please us in every way. He would make sure to ask us each step of the way how we liked what they did cause if not he would change it. I too have not been able to get the subcontactor, Specialty Siding, to perform the warranty repairs on my Alpine Windows. Alpine told me that my windows were shipped on September 9th. They are in the possession of Speciality Siding. I too have not heard from anyone at Specialty Siding with regards to replacing my current windows. I have placed follow up calls to Alpine Windows 3 times. They have reached out to Specialty Siding asking them why they have not called me for an appointment. Specialty Siding told Alpine they are "backed up." That was 2 months ago. A phone call was made to Alpine Windows today, Their customer service rep stated that, Specially Siding is not even answering their phone calls at this point. I too have no choice but to work with this 3rd party. I would suggest that others who do have the choice, do not go with this company. They refuse to follow up and follow through with contracts they have made with other companies. Chose another company that stands by their commitments and warranties. read more

Specialty Siding (SS) is the subcontractor who is supposed to perform the warranty repairs on my Alpine windows. Alpine tells me that the windows were shipped to SS on Sep 9th and should have been received 1-2 weeks later. I have yet to hear from anyone at SS. I have twice called Alpine who has sent SS messages asking them to contact me. I have left messages with SS directly, and my home builder has left messages with SS. SS has not responded to any of the messages. My home builder has told me that SS is extremely slow and can take up to 6 months to respond. So far it is two months and counting. I have no choice in dealing with SS. I suggest that if you do have a choice, you choose someone else. read more
