It's been just around two months since we had our Anlin Sliding patio door installed, which replaced the older single pane slider from decades ago. Stop scrolling Yelp and just give Samson Windows a call, you won't regret it. During the thick of Covid, we went though a home remodel that included replacing all of the windows in our home. Taft, the ownerdid the measurements for our project and soon after provided an estimate for us. The vinyl windows were competitively priced and the lead times reasonable. During the entire process, Taft, Yvette and the team were knowledgeable and never salesy or pushy. They ended up delivering EARLIER than the estimated lead time, and the installation team Paul and Doug were meticulous with their work. Our project was done in multiple phases and each time that they said they'd show up, they did. On time, professional, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Samson Windows completed our project months ago, passing inspections without any issues. They were fully paid. Fast forward 3-4 months, a few of our windows somehow got misaligned and are were sticking. Possibly due to the fault of drywallers, the stucco crew, who knows. Samson could have avoided our emails for help, but they didnt. Taft showed up on a Saturday afternoon, spent close to 2 hours checking each window and window lock to ensure it was aligned properly and made any needed adjustments. In a world where some construction trades or contractors give others a bad name, Samson shines in the top %. Samson installed new windows throughout our home and did a fantastic job. I started with a few quotes from multiple companies and Samson had the best pricing and the best customer service. From the very beginning it was a very easy process working with Yvette. During the installation process, there was a minor scratch on a glass that came from the manufacturer. This was immediately resolved by Yvette contacting the manufacturer and requesting a replacement that was completely covered under the warranty. Yvette also helped by providing me with energy rebate information that can done through my city. Samson Door & Window was an amazing experience. Lets start off with the bidding process. We had a number of bids from various companies found on yelp. As expected, all bids where ballpark and what we expected. Some more or less than others. The knowledge and expertise is what set Taft apart from the other companies. He knows his doors! I genuinely felt as if he knows what we were talking about and provided his feedback and recommendations. Not to get a sale, but to provide his perspective. It made sense and got a sense he was just looking out for our best interest. He was able to find a door design that we were looking for along with some custom glass work. He provided a quote we were good with and started the project. The materials did take some time to arrive, along with the custom glass work. Once we had everything, we were ready to install. The installation went largely great with a few minor tweaks to do. This is where their service shined, they addressed every... single... item. Poor customer service! They did some work for us on a rental window that was leaking. After the rains came, it started leaking again. I called several times and left messages and even talked to the woman in the office who said Taft would call me back but he never did. Hired this company after reviews on yelp. Not the best decision unfortunately. Firstly, it took a long time from finalization of the estimate to door installation to screen door installation. They charged an exorbitant amount to have the door painted but offered a contractor they worked with to paint the door - by hand. Which they did not alert me about. It took months for the painter to arrive and when he did he did just an "ok" job. Streaks could be seen on the door and the paint bled into other parts of the door. In other words he did a sloppy job and was unprofessional in how he spoke to me and handled the job. A quick in and out job like he wanted to be done as quickly as possible. When the screen door finally arrived it appeared installed well but I noticed gaps on the bottom and that the door did not close flush to the frame. A situation which they did not fix since they said it was "up to standard." When paying over $3k for a door one would expect better service and that the customer's needs would be addressed. Even though I was told to contact them for any issues. Not here unfortunately. 3 stars for just average work and for not going the extra mile. I now have to figure out how to fix the gaps and door issue myself! Luckily hired a different company for my front door. read more

They actually also finished early which is SO rare in the world of general contracting. I was also very happy with the crew of guys they sent out. They were well spoken, considerate of our property, and walked us through the entire process. The finish work they did on the exterior of the home is killer. You can't even tell that work was done on the house except for the extremely rare Gothic window that they found for us at a fair price. After receiving various quotes for new sliding glass doors and windows I chose Samson, not because they were the lowest priced quote, but because they seemed to be the most professional and care the most about doing the job right while still representing a quality product. Yvette and Taft were both very patient with me through the quoting process and Taft actually came out to the house on two different occasions before any work started. Once the doors and windows were ordered it only took a couple of months for the products to arrive and the work to be scheduled. I couldn't be more pleased with my entire experience with this company. I had 3 quotes to replace my French doors and Taft was the only one who I felt truly wanted to (and did) give me the best door for what I needed for my circumstances, rather than try to push a certain door just because it's what he "liked" to sell. The price was comparable to the others, but the business practice was far superior. Communication the entire time was timely and accurate. On the day of install, Oscar and Isaac did a wonderful efficient and clean job, as well as being very courteous, kind, and friendly the entire time. The estimation process was great, we priced out a couple options, they gave great recommendations for design, spoke about energy efficiency and other areas I was interested in. I had out another bigger company for an estimate (also 5 stars on yelp), they were much less thorough, did not give good design recommendations, and their price was higher with a larger turnaround time for the project. The installation process was great, worked with our schedule, and cleaned up afterwards better than before they started. We had 8 windows replaced and a new front door installed and stained. I just had my windows replaced/installed today and I couldn't be happier. They are beautiful and they cut out so much of the outside noise! I was worried about removing my big garden window in my kitchen because of the granite surface but i needn't have. Everything went through without a hitch. I previously bought replacement windows and, based on reputation, I hired the window installers that frequently work with Home Depot. Those installers put in two sets of crooked windows; one of which was bowed. On both sets of windows they covered up the weep holes; which would have eventually caused mold in my house framing. Taft and his crew to the rescue. Taft did an independent analysis of the poorly installed windows. A week or two later, Milgard representative came to the same independent conclusion. I hired Taft's team to replace the Milgard windows and retrofit replacement for some additional windows. No hassle. Quality work. Clean, polite, great attention to detail.
