We went on a Saturday morning-- we love the fresh/healthful choices. The food was good and filling (we had the market veggies skillet hash with goat cheese and feta). Two reasons that they didn't get full-marks: the place is SUPER loud--practically impossible to carry on a conversation (but these days no one talks anyway ). Secondly, we felt very rushed-- being handed the check when we first got our food and then having our dishes cleared before we finished ( btw, we weren't there a long time so no need to hurry us along) We'll go again but maybe at a less busy time. read more

I don't really have anything great nor negative to say. This place was a typical breakfast/brunch place. The food was good the server was "meh" (she didn't appear to want to be there) and I left full. Great first experience here! Ordered take out and although they were very busy my food was ready in about ten minutes. I ordered the morning market veg omelette with the potatoes instead of mixed greens because I have a ton of greens at home. Also, my daughter wanted to have potatoes so easy choice. It was delicious. Even the toast was yummy and I normally don't eat toast from restaurants. This was quality bread! I was happy to see the ketchup and jam packets didn't contain hfcs or food coloring as I've seen at other restaurants. I was also VERY happy that my food wasn't served in styrofoam!! Thank you!! Came in today for my sisters graduation and let me tell you the place was so busy! I had the the bacon avocado omelette and the eggs were so fluffy and delicious. Went for breakfast here for the first time! Great service!!!! The waitress was friendly, welcoming and checked on us enough so if we needed anything, we had the chance, but not too much that we were bothered. The food was excellent, great temp, and tasted fresh. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it was a little pricey. 10.50 for eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes. And I paid separately (1.50) for coffee. At least include the coffee!!!! read more

I'm a regular at the First Watch in Fairfax, VA, so when visiting friends in Wake Forest I was thrilled when they suggested First Watch. Our dining experience was less than ideal. My friends food came out much later than everyone else's because apparently her order was taken to the wrong table and needed to be made again. Okay, things happen. Then my daughter found hair in her food. Yikes! Not good! The kids didn't eat much of their food and my son didn't even touch his grilled cheese and fruit. He came over to me and said, "mommy I was gonna eat my food later but the waitress just took all of our food". I look at the other end of the table and see that while the adults were talking the waitress did indeed take all the food. Would've been nice to ask if we wanted to take it to go since there were four kids are the eggs if the table who didn't finish their meals. My son didn't eat any of his and wanted to have it later. Ugh! We paid our bill and left however I walked back in and told the front desk staff who offered to make another meal for my son to go. I declined and thanked him for the offer. read more

Went today for the 1st time. There were 3 of us with each ordering something different. I had french toast which was fine. Nothing out of the ordinary. My father tried a frittata which is said was good. The salad was difficult to pick up with his fork. My husband had the traditional breakfast. He was not fond of the potatoes; there was some spice or flavor he did not like. It comes with a grainy bread - no selection. We needed cream for our coffee. It took too long to get. The server forgot about us. 3 of us ate breakfast for $44. This seems too high read more

Interesting and innovative menu with very reasonable prices. Went with large group and staff was able to serve us fairly fast. I had half a roast beef sandwich and salad. The tastes were some of the best around. My DH had the chicken salad sandwich which he loved. I saw a huge and fluffy waffle being served as well as good soups and other sandwiches. The Wake Forest restaurant is very close to where I live so I will be back. Suggestion - we came in a 1 pm and it was not as busy and no wait for us. read more

Love First Watch. The portions are great. The food taste fresh and the specialty healthy drinks are aaammmaaazing!!! The Wake Forest location just opened, they are busy so expect a small wait. Had brunch with my sister and my dog at First Watch.. Food was delicious and the staff was really attentive. My dog was welcomed on the patio and they brought her a bowl of water. I will def return here again read more

We went to celebrate my birthday today and my salad was saturated in dressing even though the waitress said the dressing would be on the side. I kindly sent it back and the salad returned without all the ingredients. I politely asked for the additional ingredients and the waitress forgot to bring them and forgot the correct dressing. By then, my family had finished eating and the waitress offered a To Go salad. When the To Go salad came, it was still missing several ingredients and had the wrong dressing. The manager came to check on us and did not offer any compensation, so we handed the poorly made salad back and asked for it to be removed from our check. Decided to try this new spot for breakfast. They were busy, being new, but they had plenty of staff on hand - maybe too many. The menu definitely has a millennial hipster vibe, but between the lines it is a place to get eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes and waffles. I had The Works omelette. It was tasty, and presented well. I opted for potatoes over the standard lawn clippings that come with the omelette. I also tried the million dollar bacon. It was a nice blend of savory and sweet and was perfectly crispy. In the end, we enjoyed the breakfast. If you are looking for a simple egg plate, you might find the embellishments a bit unnecessary. read more

Good service but the "seasonal fruit" was anything but seasonal. It was pineapple (several pieces were brown) , grapes, and melon. Currently, strawberries, blueberries and peaches are in season. the food was really good but a waitress spilled strawberry preserves on my jeans and my friends white shoes, she didn't apologize. she acknowledged it because she asked if it got anywhere but then she walked away. some other waiter went out of his way to clean up the mess and give us a wet towel to clean up the mess that she made, and to wipe down our clothing. probobly will come again but that was rude and unprofessional read more

Glad to have a newer breakfast option in town! They offer a ton of healthy options and although they are a little higher priced than most breakfast places, it is super worth it because the food is fantastic. Our waitress didn't strike me as really great or really bad, just kind of average but we were definitely seated very quickly. It seems that have an easier time seating smaller groups so if you are going with a larger group (especially on a weekend), I highly recommend calling ahead. Overall, a great experience! read more

We ate here today for the first time but it definitely won't be the last. The service was great and the food was amazing! Our family noticed how organized the place was...as soon as customers left their table, the staff was quickly readying it for the next group. It was like a well oiled machine. First time at First Watch was absolutely amazing. Grayson was super friendly, accommodating and attentive. The decor is a super cute farmhouse/rustic feel. The menu is very American southern and traditional breakfast mixed into one; with fresh foods, in house coffee and condiments, and great flavor. I recommend if you enjoy places like Another Broken Yoke or Briggs. Will be back! read more

I absolutely love this place....the food is always good and it doesn't feel like I'm loading in millions of calories ...even if I am.
