Two Eggs with Bacon and Potatoes

We had another delicious breakfast this morning...great food, endless coffee and wonderful, friendly service. Very reasonable prices too. Veggie omelette was huge, Cattleman's country ham spot on and not too salty, eggs and biscuits perfect as always! Also enjoy stepping back in time with the classic diner ambiance. Isn't it time for you to make a run for The Border!!!

Keep it simple! Eggs, bacon potatoes and a biscuit. The place does the simple breakfasts and lunches right. They offer a nice selection of omelettes and combo platters. The Polish omelet with the kielbasa is a favorite of mine, sometimes. My neighbors and I have become regulars on Saturday mornings. It's always a nice experience. The "cawfee" is endless and there is no rush here. It is truly a throwback greasy spoon restaurant that I kinda miss these days. And here is a tip, they open at 4am. If your in Wake Forest and want a simple and satisfying meal, definitely check them out.

Buckle up buttercup-this ain't no avocado toast flingin' fancy smancy first meal of the day place. If down home Americana needed a picture by it's definition in a dictionary or wikipedia this place would be a prime candidate. It's an old school dinner and lunch place that slings it old style. I'd best describe it as the kinda breakfast your grandma would make if she were alive. Eggs every which way Fried potatoes-you must get them! Pancakes Toast Breakfast meats Sausage gravy It's all there. Sensitive types should note, this is the kinda place one might expect to see Fox and Friends, Pete Hegseth doing a remote and interviewing people about what's so freaking messed up with this Country.... Service is fast, no frills and the team looks like they've been there since NIxon was in the White House, some may have even voted for him! Good breakfast food at fair prices, worth your time and moolah.

Old style, , classic, vintage ..... that's definitely what comes to mind when I think about Border. The next word that comes to mind is " cheap" !! Man I can't believe how cheap this place is ..... it was 4 of us having breakfast and the bill didn't even make it to $30. $30 is what I pay for 2 people at any other breakfast place. And what about the quality ? Was I blown away ? Nope, it was just ok though and if I would have had to pay more I would be complaining. So basically the quality was on par with the price. If you are looking for a modern, franchise looking breakfast place then don't go, you'll be disappointed. If you want to try breakfast at a place with a small town feel then give it a shot. Definitely an interesting place. Will I come often? Probably not because menu is pretty basic for me but I like to support local businesses so I'll visit once in a while.

First timer at this relic Wake Forest restaurant. Hubby wanted to go out to breakfast so off we went. Positives are the prices are lowest of any place I've seen. Servers are pretty awesome as well. It's seat yourself type of place, the decor looks original (as in 20+ years). I ordered a veggie omelette minus the shrooms and onions. It came with onions but not a big deal. My omelette however was extremely runny. The potatoes are boiled and then fried on grill. Everything lacked seasoning. Guess you get what you pay for. Under $20 for 2 meals without drinks. Wouldn't be in a hurry to return as I make my own killer omelette. Maybe lunch is more their forte?

The staff was nice, all smiles. The menu had a nice variety of food. They also offer adult beverages, as well as a bar. Our waitress was cool, very pleasant. She gave great recommendations. Now, the delicious part, we ordered a variety. Sunday's AM Eatery serves breakfast and brunch items until 3pm each day, and the menu might be getting some new additions soon. They do not take reservations. Best of all, it is locally owned. The 97.5 health score is A-OK too. The seating inside is a mix of tables, booths, and bar seats. I did not order one of the Benedicts here, as they had fried eggs instead of poached and grilled brioche instead of English muffins. Instead, I went with the Smashed Toast, which was smashed avocado on Texas Toast and topped with a fried egg. A side of hash browns was included, too. Service was top-notch on my visit. I was greeted the moment I entered the door and seated soon after. My iced tea arrived seconds after I ordered it. I was told about the restaurant and the specials, then given time to decide what to order. My plate came out pretty soon after I ordered. I didn't expect it so quickly. I liked that my eggs had a runny yolk. I liked the flavors of the avocado, toast, and hash browns. I was very happy with my selection. The portion was good, and the price was reasonable. The French toast/pancakes caught my eye, too. You can select from the versions they have, like Elvis or mixed berry, or create your own. So I will likely go with that next time. I am glad I found another breakfast spot to dine and am looking forward to a return visit.

And why I mention that on a restaurant review, is because I firmly believe that the environment...the friendliness and kindness of every staff member, the freshness and tastiness of the food, the community feel of the space and the other patrons...I feel like every aspect of this very special restaurant contributed to our magical afternoon of kinship together. The restaurant was packed and had a strong 4-star rating, so with limited standout options nearby, it felt like an easy choice. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and I went with the chicken and waffles with a side of grits. I'm giving it 3 stars mainly because of the chicken. What came out were chicken tenders, which was disappointing. All the photos I saw beforehand showed full pieces like breasts or thighs, so getting two small tenders felt a bit underwhelming--I was honestly caught off guard. That said, the waffles were phenomenal. The grits were phenomenal. And the service was phenomenal. Overall, the ambiance, curb appeal, and especially the chicken brought this down from what could have easily been a 4.5 or even 5-star experience.

The two of us eat at Over the Falls regularly and always enjoy it. I'm honestly surprised I hadn't written a review before. Lunch for two came to $65.80 + tax and tip, and there was more than enough food. I ordered one of my two favorites: the Ahi Tuna Pita (the other favorite is the blue cheese burger). I paired it with a side salad and blue cheese dressing, plus an unsweetened iced tea with lemon. My wife ordered The Barrel, their Philly cheesesteak, with a side of sweet potato fries. We also shared an order of house-made potato skins. It was far too much food, in a good way, and we took plenty home. Service was outstanding and truly a team effort. One moment stood out: when my wife hesitated to ask for sour cream for the potato skins, our server immediately said, "It's just 15 steps, let me get it for you." That small gesture made a big difference. The rest of the team was equally warm, friendly, and attentive. The ambiance works perfectly for us, lively, busy, and welcoming without feeling chaotic. I would be confident ordering virtually anything from the menu. We'll keep coming back.

You must register with the hostess, then wait outside (or in your car) until you receive a text that your table is ready. While this is inconvenient and unpleasant, the mouthwatering food is worth the trouble. One of our favorites is the Three Sisters Salad- which includes a generous scoop of either House-made Chicken Salad, Avocado Chicken Salad or Tuna Salad (we chose the Avocado), plus a large mound of Broccoli Salad, Fresh Fruit and a Flakey Honey-drizzled Croissant. Another winner was the Flash-fried Calamari & Banana Peppers. The substantial serving of Rhode Island Calamari was crispy, oh so tender and perfectly seasoned - with Thai Chili and Marinara dipping sauces. We also recommend the Cali Pastrami Sandwich and the Bacon & Cheddar Cheeseburger. Both come with a Pickle & either House-Made Potato Chips, Tortilla Chips, French Fries, Macaroni Salad or Cole Slaw. The NY Navel Pastrami was topped with Fried Onions, Habanero Jack Cheese, Chipotle Mayo and Avocado and piled high on a flaky, chewy golden brown Pretzel Roll. The big juicy Burger included Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion and several slices of crispy Bacon.
