Great lunch here today! We stopped here last minute and so glad we did! The Burger Shop has expanded into where The Lemon Tree used to be and there is a lot more seating. Our burgers were on the small side, which is perfect for us, and we got them wrapped in Bok Choy. Very juicy and very good. Fries are delicious and the small side is huge! We will definitely be back and might try the fish next time. Lots of street parking and really nice place to stop and grab a meal. read more

My friend and I tried the Burger Shop on a whim. It feels like an old school cafeteria that's been around a while. I like that they have fresh lemonade and orangeade. Sure they cost a little more, but it's nice to have. One thing that did bug me is the cooks did not use gloves. I really hope they wash their hands regularly. Anyway, I ordered a double cheeseburger and I like that they let you add just about any toppings you want. They did come on ordinary Wonder rolls, so that could have been a little better. But the meat was really juicy, the toppings were quite fresh. We didn't get fries or rings, so I can't comment on the sides. read more

I cannot express how good this place is. I got dinner for 6 people and worked out to about $10 per person which is so reasonable. The employees were great and the business is in an old building downtown but the place felt clean and had a good vibe. And the food itself was so good, the orangeade, was delicious(!!!) and the burger was juicy, and we got the seasoned fries if my memory serves and they were perfect! I went to the burger shop yesterday afternoon (1/31/26) with a friend. The food was fine but after I sat down In the dining room I could see into the kitchen and there was an employee acting extremely unprofessional. Tall white kid, brown hair, I believe he was the cook. He had his phone out on the counter and was on it multiple times. Once or twice I watched him hit the other employees with his apron (rude and gross..) and overall he was just being loud and vulgar. I'm sure I'm not the only one who heard it but from what I can tell he seems pretty rude. read more

The Burger Shop is in downtown Wake Forest. With COVID, you cannot order inside but an employee will come outside masked and you can order there. There are cups for clean and dirty pens. Curbside service is available as well. You can get your food to go or eat in a shared dining room with the Lemon Tree. They do have some tables for outside dining too. The burgers are made to order and I got a cheeseburger with tomato and lettuce but there are plenty of toppings to pick from. I also ordered fries and the portion size was huge. The fries are hand cut. I forgot to get the photo before I started eating. I liked that after I ordered my food that it was delivered to the dining area and included ketchup packets for the fries and plenty of napkins. read more

I was expecting so much more from this place. The dining area is loud, and the order area a bit cramped, especially if a few people are there, but these things can be easily overlooked. The prices listed on Yelp! are apparently outdated, so for over $6 (with tax), you get a 1/4-lb burger. Period. Add $3 more for fries and $2.50 more for a drink. A bit on the pricey side, but if the meal is great, that can be worth it. Unfortunately, the 1/4-lb burger tasted just like the skillet-fried ones that I make at home using ground chuck. They got the crispiness done well on the outside, but aside from that, nothing special. It took them 15 minutes to get it out to the table, which seems like a long time (I can cook a burger well in less than half the time). As for the fries, they came out hot, but soggy, greasy, and a bit over-salted. In summary, a decent burger joint, but certainly not something I'd crave. read more

Well - agree with all the other reviews 1. lemonade - one of the best we've had - not super sweet , but not too tart to kill your teeth. so yummy and we get to watch the girl make them 2. Burgers sizes were not huge, but definitely not small. I guess it is too good, I could down another one after a double cheeseburger (just be on diet later on). Juicy burger and the toppings were great. 3. Fries - oh, that was the best part - pretty thinly cut - but not as thin as those shoestring ones, so it has very good texture, and they fry them super crispy. prices are very reasonable. definitely will be back for more whenever we have the burger cravings. read more

We love this place. We live within a mile and walk here for lunch or dinner regularly. The burgers are great; juicy and well seasoned while developing that flat top grilled crispness on the outside. Many toppings to choose from but they don't nickel and dime you for customizing your burger your way. The whole thing is in an old brick building that reminds me of an old mill or textile factory. The old wood floors and exposed brick walls give it a really cool aesthetic. Also, the fries are the best around. Do your self a favor and try them out. read more

Stopped here for lunch with a coworker, service was friendly and great speed for lunch. Plenty of indoor outdoor seating. The French fries are a big portion. 1 order is enough to share. Burgers were cooked fresh to order and very juicy and flavorful.
