I really like First Watch but our visit to this location was pretty frustrating. It's wonderful that they support the No Wait app, which allows you to get in line before you're at the restaurant! After requesting a table the app suggested that we show up 50 minutes later, which we did right on time. The hostess said she could seat us immediately. She led us to the back of the restaurant, then the front, and then said "it would be a few minutes" because there actually wasn't a table available. So we sat on the bench directly in front of the workers near the entrance and watched person after person get seated. After what felt like an appropriate amount of time I went up to the same person and said "I just wanted to make sure that we didn't lose our place in line." Her response? "You did but I'll seat you now." I don't know how long we would have sat there if I said nothing. After we were seated it took a long time to get menus and an even longer time to get our food. At one point while we were still waiting I looked at my watch and realized that we had been in the restaurant for 54 minutes. That's on top of the 50 minutes after I asked for a table in the No Wait app! Waiting almost 2 hours to get food at First Watch is nuts. The First Watch I regularly go to is always packed and I never have waits like this. The good news is that the food was as good as expected when it finally arrived. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to get my favorite (The Floridian) because we weren't in Florida but happily it was on the menu. The Floridian is wheat germ brioche French toast covered with fresh fruit, powdered sugar, and cinnamon. It's something I always look forward to eating. I think the photo speaks for itself - now I know what it was like to attend Fyre Festival thanks to this beautiful omelette - spy the unmelted kraft single tossed on the bottom of the omelette so daintily? Multigrain bread you can buy from the grocery store. The eggs were infused with way too much kraft single cheese and were globs of cheese surprise. I couldn't finish it. My daughter decided to take me out to breakfast after my 24 hour+ fast. This was my first time here and will definitely not be my last! First we were greeted like regulars they've known forever. That's always a plus to me when the hostess has a great attitude because it sets the scene for the next step. Our waitress Tiffany was beyond wonderful Since it was my first time I had questions that she was able to answer because she is well versed on the food and drink selections. I got the Morning Sunrise, which was delightful with OJ, ginger, beets, turmeric and agave nectar. Taste it and you'll see why they named it morning Next up was the Carrot Cake pancakes . I ordered 2 , but really one would have been sufficient because they're so big . These pancakes need no syrup because they're stand alone super stars . They're co-star was the Million Dollar Bacon. My husband wanted to find a good breakfast nearby so we decided to give this place a try based the Yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! My husband got the trifecta and is only complaint at first was the small portion of the eggs that were given. The menu said 2 eggs but he felt like it was only one. However, he was full and completely satisfied after eating the waffle, bacon and eggs. I got the Kale Tonic and it was delicious! We have been to this location many times and have loved it every time, but today was the outlier. we arrived as a party of 6 and waited about 45 mins to be sat as it was a busy holiday. all good, we all mostly figured out what we wanted before getting sat. A few people in the party ordered juices, and the morning meditations came out reversed from how they are usually served (more beet than orange) but it wasn't a huge issue. Our food comes out and two of my friends got the wrong order. The first mistake was my friends Trifecta order; it came as a different breakfast platter without the waffle. she asked the server for her waffle and it gets brought out. the second issue was my other friend was handed a completely different plate than what she ordered. my friend asked the server what it was, because we were so hungry that if it sounded good, my friend would have eaten it. Our server could not tell us what the dish was and took it back. about 20 mins later, we've all finished our meals and the same wrong dish gets brought to the table. it's sent back again and it's another 20 mins until my friend got the food she ordered and now feels rushed to eat because 1) the rest of us are finished and 2) it's nearing closing time and we don't want to camp out. we go to pay, and we were charged for the incorrect dish that got brought out twice, as well as a breakfast platter plus a waffle. The server seemed inexperienced on the pos and printed our receipt 8 different times before it was correct. while this was happening, what i presume to be a manager came up and asked if she needed help and she said no and then continued to struggle to get us the proper receipt. The server even tried to tell us that it would be the same price even if she took the items that we did not order off of the bill, when it was about a $30 difference all together. It seemed this server was new and the training could be better at this location. also, in the future a manager should step in as soon as an order is wrong, let alone the wrong order being brought out twice and when a server is obviously not prepared to operate the pos quite yet. We understand that it was the end of a busy holiday, but we are very disappointed by our experience today and would like to see some change, otherwise you'll be losing quite a few loyal customers. 3.5 stars if I could. I'm the type of person who likes to scope out the menu and nutrition online before I go somewhere. Their nutrition information is not very easily accessible, I wasn't able to access it from my phone. It kept telling me to enter my phone number, and then it told me my iPhone number was not an SMS number? Strange. I finally had to get on it using my computer and even then certain things wouldn't show up (avocado toast nutrition info didn't work). The next thing that bothered me was their "healthy menu." While there are many healthy options one of their menu items under their healthy menu racks up at over 1000 calories depending on what muffin you choose... Really? (Fruit crepes) So my online experience before going in was not very positive. Now, on to my actual visit. I've read that it is very busy during peak hours but we went at around 1 during the week and were seated right away. They have an expansive menu that suits someone who wants to indulge or someone who wants to choose a healthier option. I wish on their healthy menu they listed calories without having to go online (where it won't work through your phone) that just bothers me for a place that is advertising health dishes. I got a kale tonic and the chicken pesto quinoa bowl. They were both awesome!!! I wasn't able to find any nutrition information on the kale tonic online (surprise) but it was very tasty. The pesto quinoa bowl was delicious as well. My sister and friend both got French toast dishes and they looked wonderful as well. Only complaint about the food was the breakfast potatoes that my sister and friend got were burnt to a crisp. My sister had to pick off black burnt ends off her potatoes. Besides that, everything was great. Service was great here, our server was attentive and friendly. No issues there. Prices are very affordable and reasonable. I would definitely return here the food and service was wonderful. I just wish nutritional information was more readily available for a place that advertises itself as a "healthy" "fresh" place, it's nice to know the nutritional and caloric information! read more

First watch is usually a great dining experience, with reasonably priced and delicious food. Unfortunately the customer service has been lacking a bit lately. It is a very popular restaurant, so checking in online is pretty much your only way to get in on most days unless you want to wait 45-1hr. Not an issue at all, just means the foods good. Unfortunately my recent visits have been unsatisfactory. I Checked in online just to have to wait an additional 20-30min anyway. Items were forgotten from our order and had to be asked for a second time as well. Unfortunately the missing orders weren't brought until quite some time had passed and then it arrived cold and with no utensils to consume it with. The food took roughly 25m to get out to us after ordering. The staff did come and apologize for the delay which was appreciated. The staff was and always is pleasant. My biggest complaint is the checkout area. Everything besides the cooking of the food can be done at the front counter. Wanting to check-in? Line at the lone front counter. Wanting to check out? Sorry, your waiter can't take it, you have to stand in line to check out, which is absurd. Want to hold up the people trying to check-in/out? You can walk in and order a meal or two at the checkout counter while 15 people stand behind you waiting to just check-in or out. We stood behind a gentlemen who was painfully slowly ordering a meal for five people at the only cash register available. Over 15 people were waiting to check-in/out. Want to pickup food or are you trying to check in for your reservation? All of this happens at the one lonely cash register in the front which creates a terrible experience for everyone. The check out area is always completely jam packed with people waiting to be seated as well. Overall - food is great, service is ok at best, staff is pleasant. read more

Ordered the SoCal Burrito, the presentation was pretty lackluster, the fruit was a little overripe, but overall the actual burrito was good. $10 for a Burrito is a little pricey though & the place is hard to find parking for around Lutherville-Timonium. I'll probably go back in hopes of more cost-efficient food because it was good but $10 for a burrito & cup of fruit is pretty disappointing. read more

I expected spectacular food and service when I went and it was good but just average to me. I really didn't get wowed. The ambiance is basic. Seating is tight. Barely room for waitresses to get by with trays. I've only gone on Sundays for brunch so I'm not sure if it's different other days of the week. I've been twice. The first time I came a got a seasonal short rib meal that was excellent the second I came I forgot what I got because it wasn't that great but i ate it because I was starving from the wait. I believe it was a fancy omelette and potatoes. However I wasn't impressed. The omelette tasted rather plain and the potatoes were dry with no seasoning. I requested onions and green peppers in them but instead received a few red peppers on the side. The service wasn't the best but wasn't horrible. She seemed a bit flustered and uncomfortable. And didn't come to check on us as often as she should have. Will I return? Maybe... but only for the maple bacon that's good but I could honestly make at home even better. read more

The server indicated that some of the southern locations carry that menu, but they didn't get much call for it in this area. I had the key west crepeggs, which was tasty and filling. The potatoes seemed to have been frozen, but they were ok. My husband had turkey avocado eggs benedict which he seemed to like. My friend had regular fruit crepes which she liked as well. The server was pleasant and the location was clean. We were on our way to a wedding nearby (bride in tow and some of the wedding party, so we wouldn't be able to eat for several hours yet), and I wouldn't make a special trip for this. First off, good solid food... once my party received it, the wait was long. At least over 30 minutes. We were seated next to an exit door that while there was a sign painted on it that said "use other door for entrance"... people opened the door to get in! And people left out that door... which was inconvenient since our table was right up against it and it was cold every time the door opened! The food was good. I appreciated the calories noted on the menu. Though, I got the frittata and I swear the menu said it would come with 2 pieces of toast. Instead I got a toasted butt end of a ciabatta bread. A very disappointing morning for my family. I called at 8:15 am to find out if there was a call ahead list to put our names on anticipating the Sunday rush. I was told to use the Yelp app to put our name on the call ahead app. However, when I did, it said zero minutes to wait and would not allow me to add my name to the list. I continued to refresh until I arrived. To my disappointment, there was a 30-45 minute wait. Came here on a whim with my wife for brunch around 130pm. We ordered the tacos, and brioche sandwich with rainbow toast. Food came at an average wait of about 15 minutes. The brioche bread was a bit dry and the egg seemed a bit too oily to the point my wife had to napkin some of it off. But the avocados were fresh and the tacos were really good with the beans on the side. I really appreciated the coffee and water being left on the table for self serve and the waitress was attentive and cordial. Maybe it was because it was towards the end of the day, but I am hoping for better bread and less greasy eggs in the future. Overall a B+ experience. read more

I came here for breakfast with a friend. The restaurant is spacious and there's plenty of seating! I ordered the Acapulco express omelet with a side of potatoes and an English muffin. The omelet was good (lots of avocado which is a plus) and found the seasoned potatoes to be really tasty! My husband and I came here for breakfast this week. Initially we were sat in a booth that was completely sunken in to the point where you couldn't comfortably eat from being too low. We asked to be re-seated and got a nice table. Our waitress was friendly and was probably one of the best parts of the breakfast. We each got a pot of coffee which I appreciated because waiting on refills can be frustrating My husband ordered the basic breakfast with eggs, toast, potatoes, and bacon. I got the elevated breakfast sandwich and we shared the Belgian waffle. His meal was OK. Eggs were good, potatoes were cooked well, bacon was crisp. The one critique he had was that his bread was not really toasted but was just a cold piece of bread. My sandwich was disappointing. The bread was the best part. The entire inside of the sandwich was sliding off because everything was so greasy. I'm not sure how much grease you need to cook an egg but everything was feeling slimy and you could feel the grease on your lips after each bite (even after blotting with two napkins). They also put Mayo on which they glopped into the middle of the bun which added on to the grease. There was sparse greens on top but they just slid in the grease/Mayo conglomeration. I also substituted my side for a fruit cup and got some edible fruit but a lot of squishy, rotten blueberries and brown soggy grapes. The waffle itself was good and they served the syrup warm which was a nice touch. The cinnamon butter with it was tasty but the fruit compote that came with it tasted like a Yankee candle. Overall there was good and bad but if I went back I would stick to the pancake. read more

Excited to eat there again, I ordered a yogurt parfait with oats, and my friend ordered the ciabatta French toast drizzled with Nutella and strawberries, as well as a side of bacon. Needless to say we were excited, but very let down :(. The vanilla yogurt was very watery. It was more soupy than thick like yogurt. The mix of oats, nuts, crazins, & raisins were pretty tasty. However, the cinnamon was very overwhelming. The ciabatta French toast was terrible. It looked like a sub roll that had been partially soaked in egg batter & then seared for all of 6 seconds. It was super buttery & not cooked thoroughly. It could have been made better. Some of the bacon was "well done" to point where it was too crispy to eat without it tasting like charred grease. The service was great. We weren't offered any to-go boxes though. Probably because they were trying to close. The waitress even started sweeping under my seat as I was eating. I've been here before and everything was great. Maybe everything with the food happened because it was close to closing time? Not sure why? But this is why I'm giving it 3 stars. read more

Perfect little cross between old school diner and hipster farm-to-table food! Service is unbeatable. YOU MUST ORDER THE BACON!!! I can't remember the name of the dish but it's bacon with maple syrup & delicious spices and it will change your life. Also my husband had the protein pancakes which were delectable. My breakfast sandwich was stellar, and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crispy! One downside is the only coffee they serve is brewed, but that's the diner side coming out. The "toast" was cold or frozen in the center. They made me a new one, but it was still cold. - eggs were watery. - Kale tonic tastes like it comes out of a box. - choc chip pancakes were good. I think the unhealthy options are all good...there seems to be a lot of unhealthy clientele, especially relative to Nalley Fresh. The menu looks great, but the execution is poor.
