The first couple times we went here it was pretty tasty. Ribs were tender, great sauces, good sides, and the crabcake was pretty decent! Second time we went for crabcake night and it was definitely subpar. We did go late night so im wondering if it was just like slim pickings? But it was dry and crumbly and flavor wasn't the same. The other entree we had was good and cinnamon apples were delicious. I'm hoping they can stay consistent with their crabcakes even on special nights. Ribs are so good... I can only rate the ribs, crabcake and Maryland crab soup. I've been there so many times and other things look good on the menu, but I feel like I'll be missing out if I don't get the Rib, crabcake meal. This past time I visited was on a Tuesday night. I don't think it's a secret how good corner stables ribs are but just in case you are not aware. Hands down the best bbq sauce as it is tangy, a little sweet but also has a kick. The rack of ribs fall off the bone and are so tender. The ribs come with hand cut fresh fries that are so good, especially when dipped in the sauce. I haven't really ventured out to the other menu items they offer as I come time and time again for these ribs. The atmosphere is a bit dark but in a charming way. Return visit to celebrate a birthday and engagement! My family and my son's fiancé converged on the Stable for a Saturday late lunch event. The place was very busy but we were seated quickly. We decided on an order of fried pickle chips to get started and the "kids" each ordered a full rack of ribs with sides. I ordered the Showstopper (full rack plus' a half pound crab cake plus two sides) for just 37.49. The Ribs? Legendary! The crab cake? Very decent. For the money, meals are a great value. Walking into Corner Stable, the first interaction we had was unfortunately the worst. The hostess, Nikki, was openly dismissive and disrespectful toward me and my family. Her tone and behavior were so rude that it honestly felt unreal, almost like a satire skit for bad service. First impressions are very important, and having a hostess who treats guests this way reflects poorly on the entire business model. It's difficult to imagine this being an isolated incident, as her attitude itself is enough to discourage any returning customer. That being said, our server Britney was the complete opposite. The ambiance wasn't that great in my personal opinion, it was a bit difficult to breathe in but I guess the building was too small? The food however, was magnificent. Solid place to get tasty ribs !! We came on a Saturday night so it was pretty busy. Their normal parking lot was full so we parked in the nearby overfill lot. The wait was roughly 15 minutes for a table. Service was friendly and fast. We tried the bang bang shrimp appetizer. It kind of tasted like a crispy shrimp coated in Siracha Mayo. It comes with blue cheese and would be the perfect appetizer for a shrimp and blue cheese lover. I tried the fried chicken and ribs. The fried chicken was huge and crispy. It was a little bit difficult to cut into as it was so big but that's not a terrible problem to have. The ribs were tasty but could have used a bit more sauce and char on them. My friends who got the rib dinner agreed that there needed to be more sauce and that would've made our dinner more tasty. The inside of the restaurant isn't too big but it gives off a cozy feeling. I live in Pennsylvania and drove the whole way to Maryland to enjoy a nice dinner at the Corner Stable. I planned my entire meal around having bread pudding for dessert and was told they were sold out by the time we arrived at 3pm. The next weekend I found myself back in the area, so I called to order bread pudding to go. Once again I was told they were sold out by 3:30pm. I asked if it was ever available and told that "we just sell a lot of it". If a restaurant knows they sell "a lot" of an item why wouldn't you be more prepared for a Saturday?? Again, both visits were before 4pm, so the dinner rush hadn't even started. This is a HUGE let down!! read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is warm and western themed with a huge restaurant and bar....staff was so kind A+ our server was one in a million so nice and efficient! They were extremely easy to deal with and open to requested changes (I didn't want veggie hoagies in the platter). My gf and I stopped into here for one drink as her car was charging. When we walked in we were greeted with the hostess saying they were closing soon. We ordered some very simple drinks so we can drink them quickly since we were not being rushed...... the drinks tasted like straight chaser not hint of alcohol. We brought this up after the first sip and the bartender started being defensive about there being alcohol and then started making excuses about policy etc etc. We decided to just leave the drinks because there was no rush. Over all I understand we were there a little late (before 9pm) but they could have handled the situation better since there was still tables in the restaurant. I used to work at Corner Stable in 2013 so I know firsthand how good the food was back than. It was made with love and everything tasted so good. The Crabcakes and ribs were the two things my wife and I love the most! We had a craving for "Baltimore's Best Crabcakes" today so instead of going to Michael's Cafe in Timonium we opted for Corner Stable since I wanted ribs too. Walking through the front door the outside and inside was still the same Corner Stable it has always been! I got the Showstopper (Crabcake and Full Rack) and my wife got the 1/2 Rack and Crabcake. For our sides I got the stable fries and the coleslaw, my wife got apples with cinnamon and mac and cheese. My Crabcake looked good, cooked to a perfect golden brown with nice big jumbo lump pieces visible from the outside. Upon cutting into it with my fork I found no more of those jumbo lump pieces but did find collosal meat with a decent ammount of filler. I was dissapointed to end up having to spit out 9 different bites worth of shells. There were jumbo lump pieces on the front and a few on the bottom of the crabcake but none inside of it. It looks like someone balled them up and than placed the jumbo pieces intricatly onto the crabcake to give it the look of "Baltimore's Best" but that was NOT the case at all. Also the crabcake itself was flavorless. Overall the crabcake that is "Baltimore's Best" gets a low score today of a 5/10. The coleslaw, no flavor whatsoever.In the photo there is not much left but we were hungry! I was expecting the semi sweet flavor from the past only to be hit with no flavor at all! The stable fries! I think we have a reoccuring issue of the food no longer tasting flavorful. The fries were unfortunatly flavorless, only to be saved by my extra side of original bbq that i asked for which I used to dip the fries in. The only thing that i finished was my full rack of ribs. The ribs are the ONLY thing that i got which seemed to be the same thank god for that. My meal scores a sad 4/10.Onto my wifes dinner, Her half rack of ribs seemed small. She ate them up though, they were delicious! I could not get a photo snapped quick enough. The Crabcake she received was riddled with small, crunchy shell pieces as well like mine. She spit out 5 different bites worth of her crabcake. Her Crabcake was very flavorless as well.The side of cinnamon apples looked appetizing! Until she took a bite only to be disappointed with these as well. There was no flavor (the smallest sprinkle of cinnamon) and the juice they were in resembled that of a failed attempt to make a caramel sauce but it was more like apples in tap water. I am beyond disappointed to even say that the macaroni and cheese was probably the most unsatisfying thing that we received today but it's true. Bland, flavorless, not cheesy, overdone noodles. Salt and pepper was not even attempted to save this, it could not be saved. My wifes food gets a score of 3/10 . After spending $42 for my meal and $37 for my wifes bringing the total to $86.37 Michael's would have been the better choice. The service was ok, the bartender had a couple that was waiting to place their order and the others already had food. I stood at the bar for 5 minutes until someone else came in and walked to the other side of the bar and was taken care of. I quickly ran down myself and than was acknowledged and given our food. There might need to be a sign that says place/pickup togo order at the beginning of the bar to clarify for people picking up is all. Next time, going to Michael's for their crabcakes, still the same owners and recipes. Whoever owns the stable now definetly is not the same owners I knew back in 2013 or the same person in charge of making sure the recipes are being executed properly! Total experience yields a sad 3/10. For how much we paid and what we received this is just upsetting. I'm giving a five star review because of the service I received today let me tell you the little bartender with the blonde hair knows how to move her butt. I was in awe just watching her. I know she's worked there a while. We've had her a couple times between the bar and sitting at tables. The food is always great. A good friend recommended this place when we told him we'd be in that area. It's on the corner of York and Church. It has a small wrap around parking lot and then overflow parking in the shopping center lot. We didn't have reservations and hoped we'd be able to get a table on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated quickly and Melanie took care of us. We started with an order of fried pickles and an order of steamed shrimp. Both were delicious. We had the ribs which really did fall off the bone. Entrees are served with two sides so we chose fries and Cole slaw which was creamy and delicious. We had the jumbo lump crab cake sandwich which was served with fries.
