First Watch franchise eateries never fail to please! We were staying in area for a family gathering and stopped in on a Saturday morning. We were greeted right away and got a booth in the back. I ordered turkey egg white omelette which is one of their healthy choices with side of tomatoes and toast. Also got a blueberry muffin on side. Others at table got a waffle, English muffin and eggs with a side salad. They put coffee pot on table which is nice. We paid at table and skipped line at register on way out. Nothing to fault here. Quick yummy and missing the grease found in most breakfast spots. Parking is easy right in front! read more

I always know where I can find a delicious meal that doesn't leave me feeling sluggish. The entrance was a bit disorienting since the front door was blocked and we had to walk past the outdoor seating. On the bright side, the staff makes everyone feel valued once you walk in. We were seated within thirty minutes on a Sunday afternoon and our server was patient and friendly! My frittata was delicious and nutritious, and my salad had the perfect amount of dressing. It was delightful my friend ordered the morning meditation. I loved it so much, didn't get a chance to take a photo. However, I wanted to try the other on the way home. It was great as well! Stopped in for breakfast with my father today. It's conveniently located in the Mills Run Shopping center near the Costco. It was a random rainy Tuesday morning so it was not crowded at all. I was able to get a spot right by the front door. There was not wait to be seated at all. This location has a coffee bar and some outdoor seating. Of course today the outside area was closed due to weather. The waitress came by and took our drink orders. She was very friendly and nice. After brining out some water and the coffee we ordered she took our drink orders. The food was ready pretty quickly. We both ordered the Trifecta breakfast from the favorites section of their menu. It comes with two eggs made to order, a waffle or pancake, and your choice of breakfast meat. We both had the waffle but I went with the chicken sausage patties while my father selected the bacon. Food was good. The waffles were not as firm or crunchy as I would prefer but overall it was good. Eggs and chicken sausage were good too. I also can't get enough of their fresh-pressed juices, especially the one with ginger--it's my top pick! The service is always friendly and accommodating, and I really appreciate the fast-casual dining experience they offer. Our 1st experience at First Watch. The place was clean and the staff friendly. The menu surprised me and I expected the standard breakfast fare. Lots of healthy options. We started with a Kale Tonic Juice, great apple and cucumber flavor. For breakfast I got farm stand tacos, pico on the side. Scrambled egg, chorizo, cheese and Cajun chicken with avocado. It worked and with the side of black beans I was set. My wife went with the Healthy Turkey Omelette, egg whites, turkey, spinach, onions and feta. Not your usual combos but they both worked. After having been sick with intense nausea and a lingering migraine since Wednesday of last week, getting out to enjoy this scrumptious meal was amazing! Everything was fresh, yummy, and more than enough. This First Watch location is a bit small for the volume of business they receive, but consistently, staff to include management and our server, Tiffany was great! Because the morning motivation is made with ginger and other deliciousness, the ginger quickly settled my stomach. Upon leaving and knowing I couldn't ever recreate the dish the way it was made there, I stopped by the grocery store and purchased chicken sausage and avocado along with the artisan bread to make the toast. We went to eat here on Juneteenth and they were packed. I used the mobile app and joined the waitlist, then checked in once I got there. It was only about a 20 minute wait. They texted me when our table was ready. The food came out fairly quick and was yummy. The coffee was good too. Hubby had the watermelon drink which was very refreshing. The only issue we had was that the waitress never came back once we got our food to check on us, ask if we needed drink refills. We actually had to flag down another waitress to ask for a box and the check. Meanwhile, we could see our waitress standing around behind the scenes. Not sure what that was about. read more

My second visit to this location in a Tuesday morning found it empty. I started as the only one customer and I'm not mad about that. Upbeat Music played in the background. Food came out quickly. Slowly customers trickled in. The BEC was tasty, spicy, and arrived stuffed with egg, bacon, cheese, peppers, arugula and sauce between toasted buttery sourdough bread. The heat from the spicy sauce sat nicely on my tongue. If you don't like spicy, this would be better served to you without the sauce. On the side was a lightly dressed green salad. Atmosphere This cafe had a modern rustic look and it was accompanied by fitting music that wasn't super loud. The noise level inside the establishment was decent as you could still hear the music and other people around but still enjoy your own conversation. The inside was well lit as it had a lot of windows to let in natural lighting. There was plenty of varied types of seating offered as there was bar, booth, table with chairs, and outdoor seating available. The service was good as we were seated immediately and checked on throughout our meal a fair amount. Food Biscuit and turkey gravy 7/10 This was a side order that consisted of a big fluffy biscuit that was covered in plenty of turkey gravy. It had plenty of turkey sausage bits in the gravy but the gravy was very peppery for my taste. Honey chipotle chick hash 8.5/10 This entree can be found on their fall menu. It was a well seasoned entree and it included a variety of vegetables and fluffy scrambled eggs. You could taste the honey chipotle flavor on the chicken, however, there were not a lot of chicken pieces found throughout the dish. Besides that note, it was a very filling entree. Tri-fecta 9/10 This was an entree found on their original menu. You can personalize this dish in many ways but I got a belgian waffle, two over easy eggs, and bacon. The waffle was topped with a huge scoop of butter and served with a warm berry compote, which was absolutely delicious, and an additional bottle of warmed maple syrup. The waffle was light and fluffy and the eggs and bacon were well cooked. My only wish was that there was an option to get an addition waffle for a deal as I would've loved another waffle to enjoy both the maple syrup and warm berry compote more. read more

Manuel was great! He was pleasant and kind. Our order came out quickly, and perfect. We ordered the following. Fresh Seasoned Potatoes - Great consistently. A little too salty. Hardwood Smoked Bacon - Perfectly cooked and crispy. Trifecta - Turkey Sausage, Eggs w American Cheese, and Waffle. AMAZING !! I also grabbed a waffle and a side of bacon to take home to son. When we arrived, there was some confusion about us ever calling ahead for a bit but was able to sort it out. The place is clean and bright and looks similar to other First Watch locations. We ordered some sandwiches, pancakes and kids ordered some pancakes and grilled cheese with hot chocolates. I didn't really enjoy my BLTE sandwich but did enjoy my tomato bisque soup. Great menu. So much to choose from. Only have been once, but plan on going back. Make sure you request the "Club" Toasted. They brought it out untoasted. We have been to this location several times and always had a good experience. Today we got in line on their website and when we arrived the hostess were struggling with the volume of people. Despite several tables being open when we arrived they were too busy checking in arrivals to work on seating. We waited 15 minutes and the empty tables were still empty despite the number of people waiting. When our turn finally arrived we were shown to a two spot right next to the kitchen. When we asked to sit at an adjacent two spot that was also open instead, we were told we would have to get back in line and wait another 30 minutes. This was horrible customer service. This was my second visit to First Watch. My first time was at the Timonium location but it was smashed into a 1 hour lunch break so I didn't have time to take the entire experience in. This location is super close to my home (woo hoo) and recently opened. I decided to treat my Sidekick to breakfast on a crisp Saturday morning. They open at 7:00AM, we got in around 8AM. A few people spread out at various tables but not crowded. Kim was our waitress, very attentive. We ordered the Farmhouse Skillet Hash subbed the bacon for turkey sausage. Very tasty! I ordered a side of cheesy grits which looked better than it tasted, needed some salt to jazz it up, was a tad bit bland on first taste. We also got a very fresh tasting Morning Meditation drink which was surprisingly good. I'm not a fan of ginger but it was palatable. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. Years ago, I tried a neighboring location and walked away disappointed by lukewarm food and mixed-up orders, despite decent service. This new location completely redeemed the brand. The Owings Mills team executed everything flawlessly: superior customer service, prompt delivery, and outstanding, well-seasoned, piping-hot food. As a longtime local resident, I can confidently say this restaurant is a fantastic credit to our community that adds real value to the neighborhood. My visit to the new First Watchnin Owings Mill disappointed me. My issue was not my food--my Traditional Breakfast was very good--but the service. It took an extremely long time for the food to arrive after my order was placed. It took almost 30 minutes to get eggs, bacon, and toast. I know this store has only been open for two weeks, but my experience was so different from what I am used to from First Watch. The ambiance was good. There are lots of people enjoying their meals. New location! Stopped in for brunch with a girlfriend and it was busy! I expect it will be this way for a while with it being a new location and such close proximity to all the stores there. It was Sunday early afternoon around noonish so there was a wait; about 40ish minutes. They have a high top area that's first come for seating and then outside seating which we didn't know until after we sat at the high top that it's heated by heat lamps! It was a little chilly but we definitely would've sat outside, had we known that. Server was super polite. I did not catch her name but our food came out quick and hot! I absolutely love the purple haze which is like a lavender lemonade. It's topped with a lavender tea and is simply heavenly. Arrived after 10am, party of two, restaurant was not crowded. We were seated beside the kitchen and waited 25min before realizing no one had approached us yet. I politely went to host, he politely apologized and the waitress and a gentleman (who appeared to be the manager), quickly appeared, apologized and started our order. We were polite as well because we were having a leisurely day. Waitress appeared to be new. I ordered a BLT and requested my bread toasted well done. Sandwich arrived with bread untoasted upon arrival. Requested bread be toasted. Waitress stated, "Do you want them to remake the sandwich?" I replied, "I want my bread toasted as requested please." Sandwich returned with the top toasted...but when you turned the sandwich over it was not toasted at all. No one ever came back to check if food was okay. The gentleman that appeared to be a manager, went to several tables to check on patrons but seemed to avoid our table. Had he been so kind and /or polite to check on us I would have politely and discreetly discussed my concerns with him, rather than on a public site. I frequently patronize another First Watch on York Road. Ambiance is pleasant, service is outstanding, and so is the food. The new First Watch in Owings Mills was a disappointment. Too many people waiting for a seat by the front door. Despite being on the waitlist still had a 30 min. wait. My sandwich could not compare to the on York Road. A friend on my table had to send meal back because she got hard boiled eggs and should have gotten soft boiled eggs. The noise level was high.
