    Crab and shrimp omelette
    Caroline Whitney M.

Really surprised at how much I liked this place! On a beautiful Saturday my friend and I entered and were promptly seated. They had an outdoor covered patio for seating as well. I saw that they had two bars to offer the selection of drinks. I ended up going with the Bloody Mary and whoa was it loaded. For entree I got the crab and shrimp omelette and of course it was far too big to eat there so I have leftovers lol. Service was on point and I really enjoyed my time there!

Sianah was amazing in taking care of us today . As first timers dining here, we are impressed and satisfied! The food came in reasonable time. It was plated properly and presented professionally, and it was delicious.

My fiance wanted gluten free pancakes ..... AGAIN so we decided to try this place out before heading out to NC. - Ginger Zillger carrots, ginger, apple, and lemon - Gluten free pancakes w/ 2 poached eggs, bacon. The worst Gluten free pancakes ever!! My fiance said it taste like cardboard ‍ - Smoked Salmon Benny 2 poached eggs on a croissant with smoked salmon and lemon cream cheese. Topped with hollandaise sauce, red onions, and capers. Served with potatoes and salad. the whole meal itself was super salty and there was a mountain full of capers. Never again!!! They only thing was good was the Ginger Zillger. Service was alright our waitress took our order and never came back to check on us if we needed anything else. I don't know maybe it was to early in the morning

Condiments on every table - pink salt, peppercorns, ketchup - and they bring out warm maple syrup!

This Canadian-based chain restaurant has a fantastic menu & atmosphere! All one level, cement floor, industrial fixtures and garage doors that open up the patio space - plenty of room for large parties - and a full bar with TV. There is a revolving door at the entrance, with a regular door next to it for accessibility. Bathrooms are gender-specific and very clean! Arielle (aka Ari) is a warm, friendly & efficient server. She's been at this location since it opened in 2023. She explained the menu, got our drinks, laughed at our jokes, and is a lovely person! Fontanini sausage is a pork sausage - that was our main question for Ari (what is this fancy sounding sausage?) Hubby said it had a little kick, but I thought it was pretty mild. Hubby had the all-American with 3 eggs over-easy. Great meal. He loved the strawberry jam! I had the Eggsuberant- scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes & fontanini sausage. Honestly the lyonnaise potatoes could have been hotter & crispier, but they still had great flavor and I loved the onions! One of the little details about a restaurant that people probably don't notice are the condiments. Brand name ketchup, pink Himalayan salt in a grinder, peppercorns in a grinder - on every table. Real butter and real Canadian maple syrup for every order. I love those details. I wish we had one of these restaurants in NY. We would definitely come back here to eat!

If I could give this place 10/5 stars, I genuinely would. My friends and I went for breakfast after a shift. The pictures on the menu online are so mouth watering, I tried not to get my hopes up for the in person impression but it was up to par. I got the fried chicken and waffles which is a classic. It came with a WARMED bottle of maple syrup. The Tiramisu White Russian which is on their winter menu tasted like tiramisu iced coffee. If you like sweet drinks like me, this is a must !! The peach pineapple cranberry mimosa truly put a smile on my face. It was the perfect fruity drink. Service was awesome. Regan actually waited us for 6 hours, which I know is insane but listen, we came for breakfast and ended up getting lunch there too as we were just catching up. He was proactive and the food didn't take long at all to come out. I really liked the ambiance there. Because we went at 8AM- 2PM, I'd say the place was overall family friendly and never got loud. When you take your friends there, get the garlic bread. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. Will be back soon !!

I'll start with the positives, the interior is very cute. I love the Baltimore-themed posters sprinkled around the restaurant. We were also seated quite fast, and our server was kind. The food was okay. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich just tasted dry, I think it could have used ranch or just something else to add flavor and make it juicy. You can see in the photo, the small amount of fries that my meal came with...

My last review was no bueno for service, but I appreciated the manager responding and acknowledging my mediocre experience. Because I usually have positive experiences here, I decided to give it another go. This time was back to normal. Arielle K was my server, and she was fantastic. She even recognized that she had waited on me in the past then flashed her razzle dazzle smile. She was attentive and friendly. Even the bussers were engaging and had positive attitudes. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious as usual and the Breakfast Tacos were fantastic. Coffee is still $3 here which I appreciate. I always have leftovers after I eat here so that allows me to enjoy it all over again. Something I've come to eggspect. Nice ambiance here with lots of booth and table seating, free parking and a great location on York Road.

Overall, the food here was pretty good! We came on a Sunday afternoon, so it was very crowded, we had to wait for about 10-15 min for a table, and even after that, our food took a pretty long time to come out and was a bit cold. However, the dishes we ordered were very tasty and filling! The Shrimp and Crab Benedict was my favorite, it tasted so nice, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The Nashville Hot Benny and Heavenly Crepe were decent, I do wish both of them had more seasoning/flavor or sauces included. The Shakshuka was very good too, and paired well with everything else. I loved the decor in this restaurant, the area-themed art was very cool and added to the chill vibe. This is definitely a go-to brunch place for the area! Would love to try their sweeter items from the menu next time and come for their happy hour!

I don't even know where to begin because Olivia wasn't just a server, she was the heart of the whole morning. There's a certain kind of warmth that can't be faked, and she carried it with her like sunlight. From the moment she greeted us with that genuine smile at 10 a.m(when most people are still waking up)she made the entire experience feel special. Every small thing she did felt thoughtful, not just routine. She noticed things before we could even ask such as refilling drinks, checking in at the perfect times, making sure we were completely comfortable. It wasn't just service; it was care! She had this quiet attentiveness that made us feel seen, like she was truly there for us, not just doing her job. There's something rare about that. You can't teach someone to care that way, it's who they are. Olivia brought this peaceful, uplifting energy that turned an ordinary breakfast into something beautiful. It's the kind of service that stays with you, because it's not just about food, it's about how someone makes you feel. If you ever come to Eggspectation on York Road, PRAY you get Olivia. She's the reason I left that place not only full, but grateful.

Let me start by saying our server Anon was great! He made sure we had everything we needed and also offered his input on a few of our selections. The atmosphere and overhead music selections were decent. We got the mimosa fleet which is a cranberry, peach, signature, and strawberry mimosas. I would say they were ok, the glasses aren't big at all. For an appetizer we got the Firecracker Shrimp which were amazing! For entrees I got the Shrimp & Crab Benedict and my goddaughter got the New England Shrimp roll. The Shrimp & Crab Benedict was ok. I wasn't crazy about the crab cake being breaded or the sauce that comes on top of the eggs. My goddaughter wasn't crazy about how the shrimp looked and the red caviar eggs that were on top of her entree so she swapped that out for the shrimp tacos and a Caesar salad. The croutons in the salad seemed to be a little stale and the lettuce wasn't that fresh. We were expecting the shrimp on the tacos to be grilled like in the picture but when the tacos arrived the shrimp was not grilled at all. Our server Anon took them back to the kitchen and was told by the cook they no longer grill the shrimp which is contradictory to the menu photo. We asked to take it off the bill but Anon was determined to make it right and he did. It wasn't the experience we were expecting. However, I plan to return to hopefully get a better experience.

This is probably one of my favorite brunch places. The service is fantastic. And the food always hits the spot!!! You literally can't go wrong with anything

Eggspectation didn't reach my expectation. There were 2 reviews (14 and 9 days prior) that gave me pause last night when looking for a breakfast spot for today. They both mentioned issues with flies. Not good. I met a friend at another establishment only to find it closed for maintenance. She mentioned Eggspectation. I called from the parking lot of where we were to see if there was a wait as well as to ask about the reviews mentioning the flies. The associate said there was no wait and the flies were because the state fair had just ended and they were no longer an issue. Cool. We made our way. The facility is bright and has inviting decor. We were seated right away. Our server Mike came right over. It wasn't crowded and provided a nice environment for a good conversation. There is a patio where the side has roll up doors. (I understand the previous fly issue. It couldn't be helped.) You will see it in a photo. Both my friend and I selected the Eggstravaganza. She chose 1/2 a waffle instead of the French toast. What was missing for me (didn't meet my expectation) is lack of seasoning on the potatoes and flavor (cinnamon or something) on the French toast. My scrambled eggs were delicious. I'm glad I added cheddar cheese. The bacon was good all by itself. Before ordering, I asked how many pieces of bacon came with the order. I was told 3. When Mike came by and asked how was everything I said I only received 2 slices of bacon. He returned with a saucer with 3 slices of bacon. (We have not because we ask not.) That hit the spot right there. Thank you kindly! Attention to detail is important. Make sure the syrup bottle is clean. I used a paper towel to hold it and because of that I passed on the ketchup for my potatoes. The bill folder was sticky. Attention to detail is key. Would I return and recommend this restaurant. Yes. It was a pleasant experience.

If you park on the upper side there are extremely steep steps. Park on the same side as the post office/entrance to the comedy club and there are no steps. There is an outside seating area as well. There are a gazillion bourbons and they even have flights. There's also a fully stocked bar for any drink you want. They have 2 beers on tap and tons of bottle/can options. However, I strongly encourage you to try the cocktails. These are elevated cocktails in the sense that the combination of liquors and mixers really make great pairings. The side car was great. We also tried the Naughty and Nice (perfect blend of spice and sweet), Port of Manhattan (the addition of the port takes this classic to the next level), and the Corpse Reviver #2 which was our absolute surprisingly favorite. The glass is washed with absinthe (see photo). Not only was it super cool to see, but the after taste after each sip was amazing with this addition to the drink. We are not gin drinkers but this was delicious! Venture off of your normal order and explore these incredible crafty and well thought out cocktails that you will thoroughly enjoy and appreciate for the art that they are. Our waitress was patient and able to score us a booster seat for the one toddler. It's a brunch place with lots of options, including some swanky juices and smoothies. I got the seasonal Tangerine Dream which was like a delightful creamsicle - would get again. The kiddos destroyed their pancakes and eggs (Child #1 has never met a fried egg he didn't love). I enjoyed the Farmhouse Hash, which seemed like a safe bet and it didn't disappoint. Maybe next time I'll try the Market Hash, which is a little more vegetable-forward and less potato-focused. This was a good mid-point to meet some friends and I'm not in Hunt Valley often, but I would definitely come back.

I was in the area and craving breakfast food so I decided to give First Watch a whirl. It's a local…read morechain that boasts about fresh eggs and freshly squeezed juices. The menu is absolutely enormous and the interior lacks character and charm with uncomfortable bench seating and scarce decor. I opted for an omelette which came with pepper jack cheese, bacon, pico de gallo, and a dollop of sour cream. The description was unclear about whether it came with home fries and bread or the option of either home fries or bread. When I asked our server about this, he gave me a mixed response and seemed confused himself. I told him IF it comes with bread, I'll need the gluten free option which ended up being pretty good. My boyfriend got the blueberry pancake which he seemed to love. He also got a side of their "million dollar bacon" and "the works" omelette. There was some more confusion from our server who thought he wanted to sub the bacon in the omelette for the million dollar bacon but he ended up asking for our clarification before any mistakes were made. My omelette came out first and it was dry and overcooked. Definitely not a fluffy omelette and the half a spoonful of sour cream wasn't helping. The home fries were SO salty and that's coming from someone who has a savory palate. I couldn't finish them. My boyfriend's omelete came out and was a lighter, different color and looked a lot fluffier which makes me think mine was kept on the skillet too long. The million dollar bacon was just bacon covered in maple syrup. It was so disappointing and definitely not worth the almost $7 for 4 pieces. We had to chase our server down for our check in the end. Our meal ended up being over $50 for the two of us. Considering the quality of the food and service, I wouldn't say it was worth it. This is the kind of place that pretends its "farm fresh" but really is the same quality as IHOP at a slightly more expensive price.

Had the seafood sampler and crab cakes....all was amazing and worth many more visits. In the sampler there is garlic shrimp...not on the menu but can be ordered. Amazing. The scallops too was good. Will surely stop by the next time I am in Cockeysville.

Date: April 25, 2026…read more I visited Papas (Side Bar) on April 25, 2026, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. First, the food quality has declined compared to my previous visits over the years. I have been a loyal customer for a long time, and what I received was not consistent with how the dish has been prepared before. When I politely asked the server (Katie) to take the plate back because it was not as expected, she became upset and responded in an unprofessional manner. She questioned what was wrong and stated that the dish would come out of her check. I calmly explained that I have been coming here for many years and that the preparation was different from before. Her response was inappropriate--she mentioned that "Mr. Papas died in November," which I found disrespectful and unnecessary. Regardless of any internal changes, this is not something that should be communicated to a customer in that manner. I then asked to speak with a manager and explained the situation. Unfortunately, the server continued to behave rudely while I was addressing the issue. This experience did not reflect professionalism, respect for customers, or the standards I had come to expect from your establishment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve both service and customer experience moving forward.
