Hey friends, let me put you on to something! I tried the blackened catfish sandwich today and WOW--absolutely delicious. The seasoning had that perfect Cajun kick, bold without being overpowering. I topped it with a little Stonewall Kitchen Cilantro Lime Aioli and it took the whole thing to another level. A total flavor bam moment. Highly recommend with the sweet potato pie for later!!!

Everyone loves comfort food and that's exactly what Granny's is serving. I stopped by on a Sunday after church. To my surprise it's a takeout only place. Looks like you used to be able to dine in at one point but not anymore. After reviewing the menu and asking the cashier some questions I ordered the peach bourbon wings. It comes with two sides and I chose mac and cheese and yams. I also ordered an additional side of broccoli with cheese, brown sugar lemonade and the all butter pound cake for dessert. The wait was about 20 mins and the food came out piping hot. As soon as I opened the platter the aromas had me drooling over my food. Everything was delicious and made to perfection. The food was definitely giving Granny made this. The portion was so large it took me three days to finish my food. Not complaining at all cause each day it tasted better than the last. Only complaint is that the cheese sauce on the broccoli was a bit on the runny side but it was still tasty. I can't say enough good things about my meal it was definitely hit. I can't wait to go again

Found out about Granny's through a video that Slice & Rice filmed, reviewing multiple items on the menu. And then drove down from Philly because my husband was convinced! The power of influencers :) A big FYI: NO DINE-IN! They don't have a timeline on when the dining area will reopen either. I asked, as of March 2024. Wings: Ordered the peach bourbon wingettes and lemon pepper wingettes. The sauce on the peach bourbon wingettes is very good! Worth a try! The wings are larger than what you'd get at Buffalo Wild Wings or a restaurant like that. The one thing about no dine-in for these wings is that they aren't 100% crispy by the time you eat them, sadly. They were still fairly crispy after a 30 minute car ride though! Sides: ordered collard greens and creamy grits. You gotta eat the grits fairly quickly or they'll get a weird texture. I thought they were fine without adding any butter but accordingly to my husband, my taste buds are bland. Farm raised catfish: if you minus the two sides' costs that are included in the total price, the price is comparable. It was well fried and fairly sized for what it was worth. Bigger than what you'd get at a Cracker Barrel! Customer service: great! Very friendly! I appreciated how they put foil down in the plastic take-out containers.

I did Uber eats so I can't speak on the ambiance of the restaurant. I can say that my package was nice and clean. I ordered the catfish that came with two sides. For the sides I ordered the loaded mash and Mac and cheese. The mash was bland and lack a little love and seasoning. While the Mac and cheese was cheesy and pretty good. The delivery service can before the time I was quoted. Which is a plus for me.

This bar does not give any presentation or flair to their non alcoholic beverages. Pom and Circumstance was zesty and sweet . The Half Moon drink was nothing more than grapefruit juice with a cherry . I was expecting more presentation since it's literally a tonic. I would like to mention that the bar was slammed with guests and the tables were not getting their drinks on time. So, maybe it was a slippery Sunday night for the bar and my zero proof drinks lacked in pizazz. The watermelon salad was a wild card choice as Glenwoods does not have much fresh fruit on the menu. I wish it was not so chunky ... chunks of watermelon and tomato covered in a balsamic sauce and feta cheese. This salad pairs nicely with the arugula. The sides were hot and came out expeditiously. The burger was undercooked and the server offered to re-Fire a new burger. 5 out 10 night .

My fish and chips...imo a disaster...breading to cod ratio was about 3:1...meaning so much batter, hardly any fish, it was a turn off. Maybe the original location is the hidden gem, but the other options in this shopping center I'd consider before dining here. Reminds me of like an upscale red lobster...but none of the delicious cheddar biscuits! I don't know, maybe we hit it at an off night, but it wasn't good nor the prices charged in relation.

By the time we left at 12:30pm, not a speare table was seen. And Glyndon Grill serves its popularity. What makes a lunch spot (they are open for dinner too) so very popular. Adjacency to the always-popular-and-stellar Santoni's Market cannot hurt, not can the upscale neighborhood, but come for the food and service. I was focused on health-conscious fare, the the menu offered a diversity of intriguing choices. My premixed (with dressings on the side) Cobb Salad was wonderful. My tablemate, also watching pounds and inches, got the grilled salmon with broccoli. Neither could have been better. Best of all was our waitress Anne. Ask for her by name. However, I had to repeatedly flag her down to place our order and again later to request boxes after our food arrived. During this interaction, her tone also came across as somewhat dismissive and unprofessional when I explained that we were on a time constraint due to a meeting. After paying the bill, I was interrupted as I was leaving and asked whether I had accidentally given her the wrong receipt copy. Once it was confirmed that the receipt was correct, she directly questioned why she had not received a tip and whether she had done something wrong. While I understand that tipping is an important part of the restaurant industry, I personally base tips on the overall quality, attentiveness, and professionalism of the service experience. In this case, I did not feel the service went beyond basic expectations. What made the situation especially unacceptable was then being called "rude" as I was leaving the establishment. Regardless of differing opinions on tipping, I believe those conversations should be handled professionally and privately. The interaction left me disappointed and will make me reconsider returning in the future.

My husband and I visited Jilly's Bar & Grill in Pikesville on February 27, 2026. This was our second visit. We ordered several items, including stuffed shrimp, a Greek salad, and wings. There was an issue with the stuffed shrimp. The only stuffed shrimp listed on the menu is tempura stuffed shrimp, yet we were served broiled stuffed shrimp. When I calmly brought this to our server's attention, she acknowledged it was a mistake and suggested placing a new order, even though the kitchen was already closed. I did not ask for the food to be remade and only intended to point out the inconsistency. Shortly after, a woman who had been seated nearby approached me and asked about my order. She later identified herself as Chrissy, the General Manager. During the conversation, she stated, "We always try to correct customers." I explained that I believed the issue was with the menu, not the customer. I felt the interaction was handled in a way that was dismissive and uncomfortable, especially as it took place in front of others. The food quality also did not meet my expectations. The $16 Greek salad appeared to have lettuce and olives that were not fresh to me, and the wings were dry. We left most of the food uneaten. Despite this experience, we paid our bill in full and tipped 22%, bringing our total to $160.51. I also want to share how the situation felt from my perspective. My husband and I were the only young Black couple seated among a group that appeared to include staff or management. The tone of the interaction left me feeling dismissed and disrespected. That is my personal experience. After our visit, I sent a detailed email on March 2, 2026, and a follow-up on March 9, 2026. I did not receive any response or acknowledgment. I believe most businesses deserve the opportunity to address concerns directly, which is why I reached out first. The lack of response ultimately led me to leave this review. I have not returned since and hope ownership reviews both the service experience and management approach at this location.
