Came by after church and had awesome service alongside an awesome meal (in between services). Tonya was especially accommodating and brought my food over to me and went the extra mile to ensure I got everything I needed. The praise and worship playing in the background was the icing on the cake. Love that you are here Georgia Peach! Thank you for being about the Lord's business! read more

Georgia Peach - Turkey wings - Soul Food Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

Last month I stopped in to pick up a dinner for my mom. I ordered the baked chicken with no gravy and added macaroni and cheese and cabbage for the sides. The problem is that they put a white gravy all over the chicken and rice. My 92 year old mom said that she immediately got sick when she started to eat the meal. I felt so bad that I didn't just take it back when I saw the gravy all over everything. I tasted it, and although I did not get sick, it was very unseasoned. I will not be going back and would not recommend this place. read more

Placed an order online today about 12:15pm and it said it would be ready for pick up at 12:56pm. I arrived about 12:45pm. It's not a large place. You can sit in and eat but, my order was for carryout. When I arrived I was greeted. My order was ready. I couldn't pass up the desserts in the display case. So before I left i ordered a slice of strawberry cheesecake and a slice of oreo cheesecake. The food i ordered was Turkey Wings with gravy on the side with rice Collard greens Mac and cheese Smothered Pork Chops with rice Cabbage Potato salad 4 cornbread muffins. Let me tell you....... I tasted some of everything and nothing was a disappointment. I shared with my aunt and she enjoyed everything as well. And there is still enough left to have it tomorrow. Thumbs up read more

We were visiting family in the area and wanted some home-cooked food--and Georgia Peach did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted, which set the tone for a pleasant experience. My husband and I both ordered the fried catfish platter, while our son chose the ribs and our daughter went with the fried chicken wings. The food was flavorful, well-seasoned, and felt like it came straight from someone's Southern kitchen. We placed our order to-go and were impressed that it was ready in just 10 minutes. I especially appreciated how the meals were packed--each item carefully wrapped in aluminum foil, which kept everything warm and leak-free (a big win for me since I don't like my food to mix). One note for future visitors: if you're ordering fish, you'll need to place that order directly with the cashier. This wasn't clear at first and caused a little confusion when we tried to order at the counter. All in all, we had a great experience. Everyone cleaned their plates, and we left full and satisfied. Georgia Peach is definitely worth a stop if you're craving comfort food in Baltimore! read more

When they say hit or miss, its been more a miss. The place was empty and still had to wait to order. Then there's the deliver charge when you go in, order, and get your own food. Asked for no rice and get rice. Mac and cheese tasted like old noodles. Sweet potatoes 1/2 hot 1/2 with sugar covering taste. Chicken dry like sitting for a while. Small piece of fish, truly over price and flavorless. back to delivery charge, the smuggled looked when I question it. The only good thing was place looked clean. read more

What a clean and majestic ambiance about the place. The catfish was superbly fried; the collards were tasty and the candied yams were delicious. Washed down with a tall refreshing glass of half and half...fantastic read more

I hadn't been here in a while, but was looking to settle my hankering of fried fish. As usual, it didn't disappoint. Portions are plentiful for the price and more than enough for seconds. Service was excellent, fast and worth the wait. As it's really a carry out with a few spots for sitting, it was nicely decorated and the smells of the fresh food wafting through the air made for a great experience. I'll definitely go back again. read more

We moved to the area ~2 years ago from Atlanta so when I was checking on my little cousin for Morgan State homecoming I was excited to try a fast- casual soul food spot! It reminded me of This Is It restaurant in Atlanta so we were super excited! For our group of 5 we had 3 orders of catfish, 1 fried chicken and I got whitening! All the fish is fried to order as it should be... it was hot, well-seasoned and good portion sizes! Everyone raved about the catfish and my whitening was everything I was craving. For sides- I had the macaroni & cheese and yams which everyone also ordered, 5/5 in our group agreed and would order again. My sister was the only one that ordered an extra side of greens, she said she liked it but it wasn't the best she has had but she finished the portion so I would say she liked them! the sweet tea wasn't that sweet or strong enough tea flavor and the cornbread was a let down. But all in all great meal and good service! As a suggestion, it would be great if they do a peach sweet tea! read more

Georgia Peach - Whiting, macaroni & cheese and yams - Soul Food Near Me - Baltimore, Maryland

I will not say it's horrible but it was a miss! The ONLY good thing was the catfish! The sides were trash. So we decided we wanted catfish and where we live it's not to many places close that have catfish that's seasoned and breaded well so we decided on Georgia Peach. We got two catfish platters. We were supposed to have one with mac n cheese and yams, one with greens and yams. Then a side of mac n cheese. We did not get the greens and the platters were light! They have platter trays and Instead of the sides being in the side section they were put in smaller cups. The sides were like 3 bites each. Very disappointing for $22 a piece. In addition to the small sides they were literally flavorless. None of the sides hit my taste buds and got me excited lol. I have eaten at Georgia peach about 3 - 4 times before this since being in MD and I would say it's been hit or miss but it's they have never severed the sides like this and and there has been a bit more food. I probably won't be giving them anymore chances. read more

I ordered door dash turkey wings dinner and catfish dinner each came with 2 sides and I ordered a large potato salad. Spent $70 on 2 meals they forgot my potato salad and the turkey wings were tough and hard! When I called the store to speak to a manager the manager was more interested in that it was closing time and didnt want to address me. Called back the next day to speak with the GM and they said they would get the owner to call me and it's been a week! I've tried over and over again to support this black business with mediocre service and food! But to be totally disregarded is disrespectful and I will not be patronizing them any more! read more

The food was good and I have no complaints. They cook the fish when you order so it may be a 15 minute wait. There are seats thankfully and the music choices are good. There's a bathroom and parking. Everything is good. read more

Ordered delivery. The food was hit or miss. Some items were delicious, while others were just wrong. I never received the potato salad ordered with the Veggie Platter. They were sold out of the leg and thigh smothered chicken, but they were kind enough to swap it out for Turkey Wings. The catfish was extremely salty in some bites. The cornbread was dry and crumbly. All of our veggies were done right, perfectly seasoned and not over cooked. The mac and cheese, let's just say the recipe needs vital improvement. The menu online shows they offer drinks and dessert, but none of these were an option when ordering online. I would get food from Georgia Peach again, but couldn't tell you when. Cheers to a great time! read more

Overpriced for basic food. Boston Market is better. I came in after getting my hair done at Two Strand Twist. I was going to go to Toyas but the line was at the door. I came here and was going to get the chicken and 2 sides but the chicken didn't look good so I got two sides, Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. $13 for 2 small sides! Anyway I then went next door and 4 piece chicken box from Sunny's mind you that was cheaper than the two sides!! Anyway the Mac and cheese was not creamy and the pasta was overcooked, the sweet potatoes were just like the can ones you see during thanksgiving! Not going back. read more

In town for Morgan orientation. Food is awesome. Service friendly. A little tight to eat in but we were not disturbed by others ordering. Fried catfish was delicious as were collard greens. I tried so hard to support the black business. Waited 15 minutes for order only to be told it wasn't prepared. You have to order then tell them What you want. No signs. The food reminded me of my southern grandmothers cooking. It was big portions. The service was great. The only issue is the size. It is across the street from Morgan State so it can get crowds quick. There is limited sitting due to it being small. The decoration is great representation of black owned establishment. read more

I was in town with the wife for a weekend of Ravens and Commander football from Chicago. Looking online for soul food and had a few choices and decided on Georgia Peach. Their reviews was mostly spot on. The food was prepared well . I thought it was seasoned right and my wife said her food was good too. We had Catfish, Fried Chicken , cabbage , greens , yams and cherry cheesecake . I never had cheesecake layered with actual cake and frosting it was really good. The yams was canned type and the cabbage was cut kind of large if you know what I mean. I'm used to cabbage being chopped up smaller and cooked a little softer but it was still good. I'm very sensitive to salty food and again it was on just right. I can be real critical of soul food because Chicago is the standard if you didn't know it you better ask somebody . The venue is very small, not a lot of space for dine in . The staff was young adults as described in one review however they were friendly, professional and on point. I definitely would return even though it's about 20 minutes from the inner harbor and there was spots in the harbor area for some reason I chose Georgia Peach. I'd go again to support us and especially young folk doing their thing. I only gave 4 stars because there always room for improvement . The first person to ask our order directed us to the register because I ordered fish and she took the entire order. I didn't get that. Maybe move the register to the other end because it's primarily carry out. I'm behind other folks paying for their food and causing my overall wait to be a little longer because of fish; I don't get that. read more

Service: Service was good. We were greeted when we arrived. They were patient with us and explained portion sizes and meals as we were first time patrans. Food: The Food seemed to be prepared well. I ordered the 2 Whole WIng meal with 2 sides; Mac & Cheeses and Greens. Wife ordered Catfish and mY son order ribs. The fish is made to ordered which is great and is severed fresh that way. The chickens was crispy and on display. I will say they are heavy handed on the salt. We tasted heavy salt in the Greens and on the fish it was a bit overpowering. Ambiance: fairly new space. Looks well kept. Plenty of seating and windows. there is seating for gourps of 4 but they allowed us to pull 2 tables together because we had a party of 6. I would definitely recommend this place because the food was good. Im hoping the salt thing was not a typical experience. read more

I ordered a dinner from grubhub. the dinner was nice and hot. However it was NOT good at all. I got the turkey wings, mac and cheese, and yams. Everything was disgusting. The gravy on the turkey wings was white and it look like spit. The mac and cheese was cooked too long and dry. The yams had absolutely no flavor. I was HIGHLY disappointed. I will never eat there or order food from them. Just HORRIBLE. read more

Fried catfish. Candied yams. Collard greens. Half and half iced tea and lemonade. 10/10.

I have heard all about Georgia Peach and have been waiting to try the food. For Mother's Day we ordered food and went to my mom's house. I had pork chops (which came with rice), potato salad and Mac and cheese. Pork chops were tiny and extremely overcooked, potato salad was different but interesting and the Mac and cheese wasn't "Mac"ing. My friend believes b/c they were busy I should give them a pass. I think not. This meal gets 5/10. There was barely any gravy for the rice. This meal was an absolute disappointment with the highlight being the rice. I say shut down this store and burn the recipes. read more

Ordered in and while family members liked this place a lot, it wasn't for me. I'm from VA and struggle to find really good Soul Food here. The turkey wings were a little overcooked and salty. There was only a little bit of gravy for the smothered turkey wings. The green beans were cooked well, but the flavor was off. However, I did enjoy the yams and the cornbread. Not sure if I would try them again. read more
