Salmon platter

The food tastes like some good wholesome down south cooking! The service and staff is nice. I usually order to go because it's not much room on the inside.

I hadn't been here in a while, but was looking to settle my hankering of fried fish. As usual, it didn't disappoint. Portions are plentiful for the price and more than enough for seconds. Service was excellent, fast and worth the wait. As it's really a carry out with a few spots for sitting, it was nicely decorated and the smells of the fresh food wafting through the air made for a great experience. I'll definitely go back again.

Whiting, macaroni & cheese and yams

We moved to the area ~2 years ago from Atlanta so when I was checking on my little cousin for Morgan State homecoming I was excited to try a fast- casual soul food spot! It reminded me of This Is It restaurant in Atlanta so we were super excited! For our group of 5 we had 3 orders of catfish, 1 fried chicken and I got whitening! All the fish is fried to order as it should be... it was hot, well-seasoned and good portion sizes! Everyone raved about the catfish and my whitening was everything I was craving. For sides- I had the macaroni & cheese and yams which everyone also ordered, 5/5 in our group agreed and would order again. My sister was the only one that ordered an extra side of greens, she said she liked it but it wasn't the best she has had but she finished the portion so I would say she liked them! the sweet tea wasn't that sweet or strong enough tea flavor and the cornbread was a let down. But all in all great meal and good service! As a suggestion, it would be great if they do a peach sweet tea!

Veggie Platter- they did not give me the potato salad which was third item ordered in the platter

Ordered delivery. The food was hit or miss. Some items were delicious, while others were just wrong. I never received the potato salad ordered with the Veggie Platter. They were sold out of the leg and thigh smothered chicken, but they were kind enough to swap it out for Turkey Wings. The catfish was extremely salty in some bites. The cornbread was dry and crumbly. All of our veggies were done right, perfectly seasoned and not over cooked. The mac and cheese, let's just say the recipe needs vital improvement. The menu online shows they offer drinks and dessert, but none of these were an option when ordering online. I would get food from Georgia Peach again, but couldn't tell you when. Cheers to a great time!

The food reminded me of my southern grandmothers cooking. It was big portions. The service was great. The only issue is the size. It is across the street from Morgan State so it can get crowds quick. There is limited sitting due to it being small. The decoration is great representation of black owned establishment.

Food is slung is a bag like free school lunch. $10 - 2 wings and collard greens.

I tried so hard to support the black business. Waited 15 minutes for order only to be told it wasn't prepared. You have to order then tell them What you want. No signs. Cashier want even kind even to say hey .... I see you've been waiting. Then the presentation. Food is slung is a bag like free school lunch. $10 - 2 wings and collard greens. Once I got to eat the food, the flavors were good.

Turkey Wings, yams, mac and cheese

I ordered a dinner from grubhub. the dinner was nice and hot. However it was NOT good at all. I got the turkey wings, mac and cheese, and yams. Everything was disgusting. The gravy on the turkey wings was white and it look like spit. The mac and cheese was cooked too long and dry. The yams had absolutely no flavor. I was HIGHLY disappointed. I will never eat there or order food from them. Just HORRIBLE.

I lived in Boston previously and Thames's lobster roll is BETTER than any I had there. It's my default order, but explore their specials when they catch my eye. I can also recommend thier scallops and fish. Their crab cakes are great as well; however, I reccomend getting other items here and crab cakes elsewhere if you're making multiple food stops in Bmore as there are equally good crab cakes at other places (Pappas, Faidleys, Nick's, Coco's etc.) but not equally good other dishes. I'm not an oyster guy, but they also have the best raw bar in town, and they have an in house dedicated pastry chef who makes desserts which are to die for if you save room.

It was a cozy location and although they were busy they quickly got us seated! The staff was prompt at filling our drinks and getting us more tasty eats. We ended up getting two trays of oysters (went well with our gin martinis), and the crab soup with short rib. So enjoyable and really warmed our bellies. I will definitely return to try their crab cake (the gentleman next us ordered it) enticing me to come back.

So it cost me $10-15 to for a plastic takeout container. Had I not looked at the customer copy of the bill I would have not only not known but I would have tipped based on the total which already included the additional gratuity charge (which was not disclosed on the merchant copy). This is so unnecessary and ruined what would have been a good experience. They said it was a "sharing charge" which I have experienced and applies when u have another diner with you and u decide to split an entree. Had they disclosed I would at least had the option to finish the meal. The saying "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies " seems to apply as this left such a bad taste I doubt I will return despite the fact the crab cake was delicious and the loaded baked potato was average (hardly loaded) Beware of the hidden gratuity for take home leftovers!!! Update to above: I did follow up with Angie this morning and she was very kind and offered to credit back my card for the extra gratuity. She also explained that I was misled about the "sharing charge" but they do automatically add 15% gratuity regardless of party size or quality of service. So I would give 4 stars for the food quality and 1 star for the way in which they present and charge gratuity. Tipping should remain at the discretion of the diner based on service and food quality otherwise just get rid of tipping and raise your prices

The bar is very vibrant and full of energy and color; they definitely nailed the aesthetic of walking into a beach front bar. Outside of the color and decor, I'd consider this a pretty 'no frills' bar. Definitely not a dive - but a very casual, come as you are kind of spot. Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of crab, so I didn't try their famous crabcakes. I had a few other dishes including their fried fish platter, jerk wings, and honey old bay wings. All the food was solid, not amazing, but good. My dad and brother both really enjoyed their crabcake entrees - so that's what you should be ordering if you pay Koco's a visit. Our server was really great; she was friendly, welcoming, attentive, and fast. She even told us the story of how the bar took on the name 'Koco's'; got to love little connection moments like that. As a con, the kitchen did close at 9ish that Friday so definitely plan to get here on the earlier side if you're looking for a meal. The bar did stay open later than 9p, but most guests and the staff cleaning crew were shutting things down around then. I think it would have felt a little awkward to stay past 9ish. Overall I had a good experience; I'd gladly go back if invited but wouldn't plan a trip here myself. Pro tip: Make a reservation ahead of time, especially on weekends. They are well known for those crabcakes and it can get pretty crowded.

The crabs were great! A decent size for large. I think next time I'd go for XL if I wanted to splurge. Both the crabs and snow crab legs were super heavily seasoned with old bay, which coming from a Marylander - was seasoned just right. You'll get a text when the order is ready, which I like, so you're not there sitting in the parking lot waiting. Speaking of parking lot, it can get a bit crazy crowded when it's busy. But luckily we were in and out quickly! Would definitely order again whenever I'm craving crabs.

Several staff including the manager, who had a great sense of humor and kind-spiritedness, stopped by to check on us. We didnt end up ordering brunch since items on the other menus won us over very quixkly: the crab cake eggrolls (appetizer) and the crab grilled cheese (lunch). Being ambitious, we did ask the server to leave the menu behind, just in case. There was so much deliciousness to choose from But alas, we were satiated. To drink, we skipped the bottomless Mimosa and Bloody Mary and opted instead for a Blood Orange Margarita (which was more berry-like in color) and a Passion Fruit Mezcal Sour. Both were a tad sweet for our preference but very good otherwise. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
