The food was fine, if unremarkable. Pretty good menu variety for breakfast. Unapologetically bad customer service. We decided to try this place out for a late breakfast on a Sunday. We had been seated for over 45 minutes (following a 20 minute wait for our table) and still hadn't received our food. Our waiter never came back to check on us or let us know what the hold up was. I had to approach the hostess and ask her to check on our ticket. When we finally got our breakfasts, my eggs were cold. When I took my check to the cashier, she said to us, "I heard your meals took longer that usual to come out. Did your waiter say if they were taking anything off of the check?" I told her he had not mentioned anything like that. She responded, "Oh...well, there's a survey on your receipt. You should take it". She proceeded to charge us for both of our meals (lucky for us, we had a coupon, or I would've been really annoyed...why even ask that question if you don't intend on adjusting the ticket?). I took her suggestion and filled out the survey on our receipt, and...nothing. Nobody bothered to contact us with an apology. So, we won't be back, which is a shame since this place is 5 minutes from our house. read more

This place is amazing! Great service, friendly people, and amazing food! I had the French toast and it comes with berry compote both were very good and fresh tasting. The compote was hot and so was the syrup which is a plus because who wants to top a hot meal with cold stuff?! No one lol! First Watch in Plano Texas has the best service at lest for me.food is good. I always eat breakfast there i use to go to IHOP but with the service and the taste of the food I come quite often Sundays are a little busy though are usually stay away on Sundays unless I get here early. read more

Had the Eggs Benedict BLTA. It was not hot. What happens at a restaurant where food is served warm to almost cold? The potatoes were MEH. They need to be boiled them roasted so they are fresh and crunchy. These tasted steamed and soggy from just being pan fried. Service was excellent. read more

Well i tried giving this place a 2nd try but besides the food coming out wrong . Our server we had was really slow and unapologetic..i asked for my food to come out hot since the 1st visit the food was cold..instead my sandwich came burnt..asked for sausage on a kids plate, they gave bacon..then took the plate back so they couldnt eat..when they could have came back with the side on a diff.plate..this place is very pricey and has a lot of good reviews but i feel like the service at Dennys is better and half the price! read more

Pretty good experience. Above-average menu options with artisan ingredients and fresh juices. Service was decent. I had the Chickichanga and it was tasty and a good size. Came with potatoes that were better after a little salt and pepper and a little fruit cup. Hubs had the Breakfast Sandwich, which he reports was just average. He also had the Melon Cooler which was really good, but very cucumbery. I had the bottomless coffee, which was good, and I loved that our server even gave me a fresh cup to go. Nice touch. At 12 they notified my food was ready. You think I want cold food now? No thanks. Wont ever patronize them again. Also I witness an Asian guy tell a black guy to wait outside but didn't tell anyone else that. If you are too busy to service an order, simply cancel it rather than delaying. If you're looking for a great breakfast, or brunch place I highly recommend First Watch. The have a regular menu and for every season they have a seasonal menu. I love that the have healthy options or you can always substitute. If you go during they week it a little less busy then during the weekend. If you happen to go during the weekend I highly recommend to check in on the first watch app. It tells you your wait time and what time you have to be there to check in. I've had great servers and not so great but I understand but that they might just have started so they are getting it down. Even if you have a bad server that doesn't take away from the food which is delicious. I also love the rustic decor and the unique lighting. Keep in mind that this place closes early they are not open all day. Over all great place! read more

We've had breakfast here weekly since it opened and the food and service have been good. However, today the food came out cold. I sent it back and it finally came out again slightly less cold. Then I heard tables around us sending their food back. Rather than further embarrass our nice waiter, my wife agreed we should just mention when we checked out. As is customary, I was asked how our meal was as I approached the register. I explained the issue and that we had heard others making similar comments. Rather than offering an adjustment to our bill, we were offered a lame excuse that their heater was not functioning, as if that was just the risk of dining out. We asked her to take our food order along with drink order. She did. Waited 30 min and two of us got pancake orders that looked fine on top but were burnt so bad on the bottom they were literally black. One of our party didn't get his meal for another 10 min. Server came back by to drop off maple syrup, didn't ask how our meal was, didn't respond to my verbal que, and walked away. I had to waive my hands to get her attention. I showed her the bottom of my pancakes and she literally said "don't make that face at me, I didn't cook them." I wasn't rude, but my face was one of shock after waiting 30 minutes. I asked to speak to manager and he really didn't want to hear my complaint. Said they were doing the best they could. Not true. He was watering the plants on the porch rather than tending to how his restaurant was operating. Go to a different FW location. This one doesn't know how to serve a customer. read more

The biscuits were great, but gravy wouldve been much better with real sausage...or at least more seasoning as it was pretty bland However, our waitress was really bad...we waited 10min to get our drink orders and overall it was just very "bleh" service as we had to flag down other wait staff serving other tables to get anything We will probably try it again sometime. It isn't close to our favorite breakfast place, but it's decent. We have been to this location a couple of times with great food and good service. This morning's visit was terrible. We were greeted with a smile by our host and our waiter was friendly; however, I ordered the Bacado and received spotted brown avocado inside a cold omelette. The side salad had no dressing. I had to ask for a new avocado and dressing. My husbands waffle tasted really weird, like metal, and his meal was also cold. We went at 7:30am, with several people in the restaurant. When you are charged $40 for two for breakfast, it damn near needs to be perfect. This visit fell very flat. I'm disappointed and won't be going back. read more

I have been to this location a few times for brunch now, be sure to either come very early or be prepared to wait. They have excellent blueberry pancakes, healthy options, omelettes, and BACON. Oh my goodness the Millionaire's Bacon is amazing. Imagine Bacon drizzled with maple syrup, and seasoning all crispy and candied. Avocado toast and all the skillet hash dishes are great, I think I have ordered all 3. The one bad experience I had was once the Millionaires bacon dish was brought to me burnt. I just sent it back, although the waiter told me that they are typically blackened, they were nice and brought me out a less charred dish. We were regulars when this place was The Egg and I. It took us a while to try it when it changed to First Watch. I regret not trying it sooner. We got it to go. I love that there are healthy options. I tried the energy bowl, my husband tried the French toast and my picky eight year old got the chocolate chip pancake. The flavors were amazing. Everthing was fresh, not greasy and heavy. Loved it! We have been long-time First Watch fans. We went to the location in Richardson every weekend for over a year and loved it. Servers all knew us and food was impeccable. We've moved and were so excited to see we still had a First Watch nearby. What a colossal disappointment it has been. We have been to this location several times now and every time, it's been awful. The first time, we came for brunch. Food took over an hour and we were never given any water or even an apology. Several other times we've been for breakfast and either had issues getting served or with our orders coming out correctly. We went early this morning thinking that the time of day and crowd has contributed to our poor past experiences. Wrong. I am pregnant and ordered over hard eggs and was given eggs that weren't done all the way through so I could not eat them. I never received my fruit. There were a total of five tables in the restaurant. The worst part is when they ask how everything was when you leave, no one gives a care when you let them know that it was not ok. We've given this location a fair chance but will not be returning. read more
