This is the second First Watch restaurant we have been to and have not been disappointed by either one. The food selection is great and the meals are well prepared, service is great and prices are reasonable. Can't go wrong with the Trifecta, the Original Breakfast or the Hash. The checkout/host staff isn't better even with the scaled down foot traffic caused by the pandemic. Specifically, they have a very simple job to do: check people in/out. & give people their pickup orders. This time: I was told my order was not ready (gave them an extra 20 mins on top of the online estimated time) & to stand outside the door for safety reasons. No problems... I stood there for 10 mins in the sun & thought maybe now 30 min after my order was promised I would look through the front glass & see if they brought out my takeout bag & placed it on the pickup/delivery only table. Sure enough, I saw a bag there with my name. I walked in & the 2 people who were at the checkout counter were standing there with nothing to do. And nothing to say. Seriously, 30 mins after my promised pickup time & 2 unoccupied hosts couldn't walk outside & tell me my pickup bag was ready to go even after they gave me instructions to go outside & wait for it. It's usually extremely packed especially on weekends, so if you want to get in and out, get in line early or I believe you can get in line virtually? The food is always amazing. I usually get the chickichanga. It's really good. The servers are usually so sweet. If you get something that doesn't meet your expectation and they overhear you saying something, they'll fix it without even saying anything and bring it to you. I love that! Solid choice for brunch! I've always seen the place pretty packed so I expected that my visit would have some sort of wait, especially late morning on a Sunday. I was told 15-30 minutes. Watching people come and go, the turnover did not look bad. The decor was cute, somewhat quaint with a modern twist. Sat in the corner by the entrance as I waited to be seated. Saw that they offer newspapers and what seemed like a complementary coffee station by the waiting area. As I waited, I grabbed a menu to look over the options. The menu is pretty extensive, plenty of options from your classic generic breakfast options (toast, eggs, protein, etc) to things like a smoked salmon frittata or power bowls. I loved how detailed every item was and the menu emphasized locally sourced, fresh products and in-house MTO items which is a win for me. It wasn't long until we get seated. Immediately greeted by our waitress, she offered us coffee from the thermal carafe that she readily had in her hand. We declined and opted for water, asking whether we would have it iced or just have a big carafe of it on our table which is what we decided on. Already knowing what I wanted, I placed my order: smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata with seasoned potatoes and chive cream on the side. My coworker ordered the elevated egg sandwich. Definitely not a long before the food came out as busy as the place was, our meals looked good. The potatoes were soft on the inside and lightly seasoned with some crispy potatoes here and there. The frittata was cooked perfectly and the flavors of the vegetables and salmon complimented each other. However I was expecting the salmon to be broken up and mixed in with the eggs/veggies, but it wasn't. It was like a piece of the fish in the middle and egg poured over it to cook so a few of my bites were just mostly fish. Overall, it was a good experience and I look forward to trying other things on the menu. Service was great and every staff member we interacted with was kind and upbeat. Being pregnant limits me, but definitely looking forward to trying their eggs benedict soon! I also eyed a nearby tables biscuits and gravy as well, so my next visit may be sooner. A testament to mediocrity and overpriced food, this place goes to show, if you build it, they will come and wait forever, first for your seat and then for your food. My partner's food was cold and inedible. Our server was fine, my biggest complaint was once the food hit the table, there was no follow up or table touch until we were done. After waiting over 30min after ordering our food, there were no updates on its status or eta. I know times are tough for restaurants and their employees, but a simple update after seeing tables sit, eat, and leave around you, would be nice. Pointing out the shortcomings regarding our food, apologies were offered and items were removed from the final bill. Why the two stars then? Coffee was hot, my food was hot, and my partner did enjoy their kale tonic. Unfortunately there's a serious lack of breakfast/brunch options out there and places like First Watch will continue to pop up and likely do well by default. But if you expect attentive service, a fair product for a fair price, you may as well go to Waffle House instead. I came here one late morning when my kids had off from school and it was pretty busy. So busy that we waited almost a full 45 minutes before we got our food. That was probably the biggest hiccup, as most people around us received their food right away it seemed. Nevertheless, I liked the freshly-squeezed juice options as well as the healthy choices they offered. My daughter wanted a hot chocolate and they topped it with whip & chocolate syrup, which was a nice touch. The kids menu was fun; they went with a fruit crepe and eggs & bacon. I know that a lot of Resturants are short staffed, but we go into First Watch, after being seated, no one came to wait on us or even acknowledge us for about 5 to 10 minutes. Now the BAD part was I seen the wait staff in the kitchen eating and drinking. So yes we leave... I wait at the front stating I would like to speak to the manager, again after waiting for them or again some acknowledgement that they were coming we leave. Had breakfast at First Watch recently on a Saturday morning. We hit the sweet spot time wise and were seated immediately but it very quickly filled up and the line was out the door by the time we left. Pro-tip: they have an online app that you can register for to get one the wait list before you actually arrive so you can avoid the wait! The menu was varied and everything sounded amazing! I settled on the Elevated Egg sandwich with home fries. The portion was ample and the sandwich was a perfect balance of carbs, protein, and good fats! It was delicious! My sister had the lemon, blueberry quinoa pancakes. They were exceptional and enough for like 3 or 4 people to eat! We also ordered a side of the special maple bacon. Holy mother of pork! That bacon was slap yo mama good! Like candy bacon! Order you must! They also have a small selection of fresh juices. What a great place for a late breakfast/ early lunch! The fresh juice was beautiful with layered colors. I had the pumpkin pancake breakfast; the pancake was delicious and smelled like cinnamon and molasses. My over-medium eggs were perfectly cooked and the sausage tasted good, too. My daughter's chocolate chip pancake was as big as the plate! She said it was the best pancake she'd ever had in a restaurant. As an avid foodie, I had to try this place and see what the hype was. There's always a huge line at the door and a wait so I recommend RSVPing in advance. The first time I came, we had no utensils for the longest time until our server came and she was confused as to why we didn't have utensils since it's the hosts' job to give it to us when they seat us. The food is supposed to be a healthier version of your brunch foods, which I appreciate, but in turn turns out to be something you can easily make at home. For example: their avocado toast that they charge $9 for. The drinks are healthy drinks such as "green machine" but I wish they had brunch drinks like alcohol. I ordered the eggs benedict on both visits and as someone mentioned earlier, the chef is not consistent. The first time my eggs were cooked well, the second time they were overcooked. It's embarassing to try to record your "yolk porn" yolk only to find out it's soft boiled instead of poached when you cut into it. All in all, it's a nice concept for brunch and definitely caters to the healthy eaters, however, it's just alright. If you go, I recommend getting something you can't make at home and beware of the eggs coming out overcooked. read more

First watch is a great breakfast/brunch place. The food is delicious, but I havent been impressed with the take out service. Their time estimates are wildly off- once we were told it would be ready in 20 minutes and ended up waiting for another 20 minutes once we got there (45 min total!). I love that they have allergy and food info posted online for those of us who have to avoid certain things. I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. The sausage gravy was creamy and delicious. The biscuit was good, but not amazing, but when covered with gravy it was just fine. Hubs has been enjoying the chimichanga, and I like that you can order through the buff commercial delivery places or direct through the website. I try for through the website, as I think it generates more profit for the restaurant. The juices are delicious too. Treat yourself to breakfast and order from them! read more

Stopped by here for the 2nd time in the past week because we were very pleased with how everything tasted. This time I am treating my youngest son before he has to go to school in an hour and a half! To drink I get the Spring Clean which is a nice healthy juice blend of those fruits and veggies that aid in cleaning you out including cucumber, celery, and granny smith apples to add a tad of fresh sweetness. This time I ordered the belgian waffle, bit again ordered the VERY delicious Million Dollar Bacon! So freaking delish! My oldest ordered the trifecta (again!) with sunny side up eggs, belgian waffle, and side of Million Dollar Bacon as well. My youngest ordered french toast with a side of bacon. Even though the weather is nice out my boys decided on their hot chocolate which their picky selves loved (2nd time order for my oldest).
