Our waitress Armani was amazing. She made sure my coffee was always full and breakfast was spot on. Can't wait to go back.

This restaurant has been in our area for a few years. We decided to finally try it and walking in the decor is lovely. It's rustic and farm-ish. They are very busy with takeout orders but they handle the dine-ins quickly. Our waiter was very attentive and quick. We got our drinks of juice, coffee and water. The water is brought out in a glass milk bottle. It looked very cold but it was room temp when I poured it in my glass. I ordered the traditional breakfast. The eggs were ok , bacon crispy and four slices but cold. The potatoes needed to be cooked longer some were still hard and they needed more onions. Bread I asked for the sour dough toast and got the multigrain. It was good, thicker sliced and covered in butter. Hubby had the biscuits and turkey gravy. I didn't get any "damn this is good" comments. All I got was "it's good". He had the same complaints about the potatoes. And said that "two eggs sure looks small." Today we decided to order lunch to see if it was better. We ordered pickup. I ordered the ham and gruyere grilled sandwich and tried to order the soup of tomato basil. Website said it was unavailable. So we put the side salad, but I put in the notes soup of the day. Hubby ordered the Monterey club. Same with his soup. Email said it would be ready by 12:06. He got there about 12:15 and hostess apologized because their system said 12:25 and asked about the soup or salad. Soup of the day was Italian wedding. No thank you from me. So hubby gets home and opens the bag, hands me a chicken avacado salad. Which to my surprise I didn't order. I am then handed another box with the sandwich I did order. It was again cold. No problem, I could live with it. His sandwich was not there, in the car he goes. Good thing we live close by....walks into restaurant and hostess said ooops sorry we know what we did. Waits for his sandwich they told him to keep the salad. Again, no damns!! So the place is ok, the food is fresh so that's a big plus!! People like that because they are busy with Togo orders. read more

Prettt cool place. Good food and friendly staff. I got the farm house skillet hash with over easy eggs and it hit the spot! The kale tonic and morning meditation juices are very good, worth the try. Will definitely come again and recommend to a friend. The only reason I did not give five stars is because the smell of the glassware for water has an interesting smell. After being a waitress for many years in the past it disappoints me to see how service has declined. After coming here a few times I see the same habits from the servers. I had to pass out menus to me and my family and then I had to pass out the silverware. Next, when the dish was brought that was going to be shared, the extra plate was under the dish plate and put in the middle of the table so then I again was passing out the plates. We would have purchased a second drink however the bill was brought to the table before we were asked if there was anything else we would like. The server was very friendly so it seems to me this issue is due to a lack in the training process. The food and drinks are always delicious so I hope to see this issue resolved. read more

Loved everything about this restaurant. I went to the one in Humble and everybody here was super friendly. My waitress was patient as it was our first time and even gave us recommendations on what to get. The iced coffee was great and smooth and I even got a free refill without even asking which was a plus. I had the Farmhouse Skillet hash which was very filling, the eggs were very fluffy and the bacon was nice and crispy. My partner had the Tri-Fecta and especially loved the waffle as it was crispy and sweet. I would definitely come back here to try the other items on the menu. read more

My husband woke up on Sunday saying he wanted to go get breakfast. I immediately thought of this place. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. We waited to be seated for 30 minutes(which is usual for Saturday and Sunday mornings). Once we sat we ordered drinks then food. We waited over an hour for our food to come. Once it arrived our order was incorrect. My husbands plate was fixed quickly and back out to him, but I waited another 15 minutes for my food. The waitress said that our food took so long because of the to-go orders clogging up the window. She tried to rectify the situation by taking my meal off of our bill, which was nice but I still left wanting more. The food tasted ok, but was really not worth the long wait. We arrived and got on the waitlist at 09:51 and our table was ready at 10:21. We didn't get our food until 11:35- mine was 11:50. We left for 12:15. read more

I LOVE First Watch! The farmhouse decor welcomes you as you enter the door, the staff are friendly and swift, and the food has never disappointed. My favorite thing to order is the ham and gruyere cheese omelet or sandwich. The greens that come with the order are so, so good. I don't know what they put on them, but they're delicious. This is the second time my online order is coming out over 30 minutes later than the time I was instructed to arrive. another time my online order was spontaneously cancelled after email and app confirmation and a cancellation email was sent while I was driving to get to it I totally understand that things happen and having a restaurant is tough. FEEDBACK: to not accept online orders if it's not possible to reasonably fulfill what's agreed upon. Maybe online is just not your thing but in house is amazing service. Maybe corporate is not managing expectations on what can be achieved and how management should focus. I love the purple haze, but the extra half hour wait threw in a monkey wrench on my only day off. Can't compare to "The Egg & I" that used to be there a while back. Eggs Benedict on ciabatta bread is NOT a good idea....bread is too thick and dry. Don't try to reinvent the wheel with classics like this, especially if it's going to take away from the flavors. One of the half/half creamers must have been bad because it curdled up when put in the coffee. Waitress dropped a piece of avocado from my plate on the floor (which was probably the highlight of my plate) and didn't replace it. Waitresses hang out (sitting, drinking their coffee) at a table near the main entrance..... I would actually go to Denny's or IHOP over returning here. read more

I'm signed up with their e-club and they send a lot of coupons to me by e-mail. My favorite is when they send me my birthday coupon for a free breakfast or lunch entrée. I redeemed mine today--Monterrey Club sandwich with cup of soup on the side. I had hoped to order the Italian Wedding soup (I've had it before and it's delicious). Soup-of-the-day was their Hearty Vegetable soup. It was SO G-O-O-D! The sandwich is every bit as great as it always is. Even though my food was comped, they did not skimp on anything. Sadly, I had to get my order to go because I was working on a time-sensitive project. I took my time enjoying the delicious food, tho. Also new to their menu as a seasonal item was a super refreshing drink called the Carrot Crush. It is a blend of carrot, orange, coconut water, turmeric and lemon. It was great. I checked the nutritional value on their menu and it's only 110 calories! Not bad for a fruit/juice blend and definitely a treat. Thanks so much, First Watch, for such a great birthday lunch! The cook was in the bathroom for 15 minutes I waited and I didnt even know he was the cook til someone walked in and told him to hurry up but that's not the issue the issue is he didnt wash his hands..... really disgusting so me and my family waited 20 minutes for our table and after seeing that we didnt even want to eat there so we didnt and justed left and I'm very disappointed and disturbed by it and I loved the egg and I and this was going to be my first time at the first watch but I will never ever eat here nor recommend anyone to eat here as well.... I did notify the waitress the issue and she told me that the cook manager told her that he did wash his hands back in the kitchen but I strongly do not believe him.... My family, especially my daughter, loves this place. With the "get in line" feature on the First Watch app we have no problems getting in line before leaving the house. Then when we arrive we only have to wait 5 minutes or so for a table. I love the fact there are First Watch locations throughout the country. We travel a lot so we can have our familiar fare in Georgia, Virginia, Texas, etc. And in case you are wondering if the food quality is the same throughout the different locations, the answer is yes. Lastly, if you can't/won't to go to their location I would recommend the cookbook. it has a lot of their favorites listed so you can get your favorite even though you never leave home. My only complaint is the meal sizes. i wish some of the meals were smaller and therefore cheaper. I always need a to go box because I can't finish my meal which is inconvenient when we are traveling. A family of 4 can easily cost $60. read more

But good news because I found out there are a few in Michigan as well. The atmosphere is super vibrant and very "Chip & Joanna Gaines" like. We went around 1pm on a Sunday and did not wait at all. The manager and our server was very friendly and attentive- made sure each table was taken care of. I ordered the market hash which came with zucchini, kale tomatoes, onions, peppers, potatoes, 2 eggs and goat cheese. The flavor was . I didn't even need to put hot sauce on it(that's saying something). Our table also shared the lemon ricotta pancakes. HIGHLY recommend. I also love that a lot of the breakfast dishes came with a side of fresh greens and lemon vinaigrette- to me that is breakfast done right. Although the juices were a little sweet for me(I like more earthy vegetable flavor), the majority of the human population would love the kale tonic(kale, cucumber, lemon & apple) and the morning meditation(beet & orange) juices. Any time we were missing something or needed more jam, cheese etc they were very gracious. If I lived near a First Watch it would easily be on my Sunday brunch rotation. read more

What a terrible experience! I cant believe this place is in business with such terrible service! Now I'm totally understanding of the 1hr wait because it is Mothers day but to bring out half an order... So my party is seated after the 1hr wait and we begin our people watching. Laughing and joking we finally notice it's been 15mins and our server hasn't even come over yet (strike 1). When she does come by we happily greet her and let her know we are ready to place our whole order. We give her the order and go back to people watching. Now again its Mothers Day, so we expect some delays but 45mins later she comes out with 50% of meal number 1(strike 2). But in her defense she says I'm headed back for the rest of your food (foul tip). 10mins later and no more food, another server comes over and notices nobody's eating and asks if we are waiting on something. I answer yes, the other 50% of my food and the rest of our parties food. He runs in the back and comes out 2mins later to say it's in the process of being made (RIP the *uckin phone book- strike 3)! WTF!!! U not only didnt bring out a whole order but u didnt even make the other yet! Who does that. How can u allow such mediocrity! This type of service is deplorable. The family frequent this place often. We have the same server everytime, Hope. She takes very good care of us, resolves any issues for us. Ask for Hope. The food is usually awesome and done right. The avocado toast is a favorite, as well as the tri fecta. The waffle are sometimes a bit soft for my taste, but great flavor if you get the real maple syrup. I do find greens with my eggs odd, but today i got potatoes much better. Id skip the sausage link and do the patty instead, Eggs are done correctly even my wife's odd over medium hard, what ever that is. :) It used to be fairly hard to get in there in the morning, but lately it has been walk in and eat. Disappointed about what took over egg and I. Some familiar menu items, however they are reseasoned, and just do not taste close to the same. The presentation was improved a little, however the prices were also raised. Service was poor and slow. The restaurant was less than 1/4 full and yet the waitress was too busy to ask how anything was or tasted. The avocado toast came out with avocado so cold it made the toast rock hard. The eggs were served cold as well. Don't give this place a chance, it's not worth the money. It's a shame because now this area is missing a good breakfast location. Was bummed that the previous establishment (the egg and I ) left but was looking forward to having a brunch breakfast place in our area. Upon walking on you'll notice a farmhouse style decor that looks nice. Place was packed on a Sunday at 1130 so I was super excited and expecting some yummy food. After a quick 20 min wait, we were escorted to our booth. Our booth, even though was supposed to be clean, was dirty with bread crumbs and rolled up lettuce pieces and the coffee cup was dirty. So after bussing my own table with a Clorox clean up wipe and requesting a new cup I was ready to order. Have a nice selection on the menu for breakfast lunch and dinner from açaí bowls to burgers. I ordered a bacodo omelet, my hubby a tri fecta breakfast. While waiting for our meal I noticed how terribly dirty the floors were and how they were covered with every mentionable food item. Food came pretty quickly but was very unimpressive. "Curb appeal" of the plate was lacking with the food even tasting less appealing... See pics My omelette was very very thin with very little bacon, cheese and avocado in it and my accompanying salad was bitter. Hubby's pancakes weren't very good. Let me start with this....the food is really good, even better than Egg and I. Now the rest of the challenge. This restaurant is poorly run. I was told 20 minute wait and there were several ahead of me waiting. BUT, there were 9 tables with no one sitting at them. Some were clean, others needed to be cleaned. After approx 20 minutes I was seated at one of those tables that had been open and clean the entire time I waited. It's an easy way to fix this poor service. The staff and manager need more training. They seat everyone in order of when they signed in regardless of the size of the party. So even if there are multiple two tops available all twosomes will wait until larger parties who could not use those tables are seated. That day there was a party of 7 holding up the seating of everyone who could have used the 2-tops and 4-tops. Additionally the staff walked past 3 2-tops to seat a couple of 2 at a 4-top. So, they need training, or I'm happy to spend a day showing them the more efficient way of seating crowds for some comped meals. The crowd waiting was extremely frustrated. Finally, for a point of reference, this same method of seating has been used every time I'm there. (I live close so go often for breakfast) read more

This is a cute place with great service and a tasty looking menu. I loved my breakfast of smoked salmon and tzatziki cream cheese toast. It had everything I loved on one plate (minus the eggs). If I had it my way, I would have loved to have had two slices of toast and no eggs. The prices are a bit more than some of the other local spots for breakfast, but what I appreciated here was the plates are a bit more adventurous. There was a lack of salt issue, on both mine and my husband's plate; however, I don't see that to be a problem when you can simply add to your own taste. read more

I tried first watch for the first time yesterday and it was amazing!! I got the traditional breakfast, million dollar bacon , and the golden glow as my drink. The million dollar bacon was sooooo yummmy dripping in honey. The golden glow drink had pineapple, turmeric, and orange juice I think. Everything was extremely fresh except for my boiled eggs. I am pretty sure they were pre-boiled. That is my only complaint. read more
