Vanilla cream cold brew
Kimberly W.

One thing you have to remember about Tim Hortons is that much of the appeal is nostalgia. It is very similar to Dunkin in that it is quick service and the quality is highly variable between regions. The menu here is not the full menu of Canada or even the northern US locations. I'm not from the area, so maybe it's easier to get to if you know the area, but it's not the most convenient location, and my maps app struggled to route me there. The location is a former Sonic, so it's very much a drive thru centric store. I stopped by just a bit before 8am and made it through fairly quickly. The cold brew and Timbits were fine, nothing super special, but they were a nice switch from my routine. I don't know that they'll wow anyone, but it is at least worth trying out.

I don't think I've ever gone to a breakfast spot and loved their eggs like they were scrambled in my own kitchen. The chicken sage sausage and moon dusted potatoes, were almost the stars of the dish! My only con, was the serving size of the grits for the price, although I understand. Will definitely be back when breakfast is on our mind. Thank you for handling the grit complaint so well, we appreciate you.

We drove about an hour to get there and it was very well worth it. The restaurant is in a plaza with other stores and restaurants so there's plenty of parking right out front. We had a 20 minute wait we ended up sitting outside which was a nice covered spot. We ordered the truffle fries, firecracker shrimp with a side of grits & beignets to start off. The girls are called creamy dreamy and they absolutely live up to their name. The best grits ever! Super creamy and cheesy. The firecracker shrimp was tasteful and savory and we loved the truffle fries. We also ordered a biscuit bc the place is called the flying biscuit how could we not? Our server Susana was amazing super sweet and accommodating she gave us great recommendations and I'm so glad to have come across her! She definitely added to our experience The restaurant itself was super cute and colorful i loved the paintings on the wall and i should mention that the bathroom was super cute! I'm so glad we went to the flying biscuit I'd definitely go again next time I'm in town!

When we arrived, First Watch looked pretty busy, but we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated right away. The hostess was very kind and welcoming, and our waiter was just as nice... cordial, helpful, and attentive throughout our visit. The service was definitely one of the highlights. For food, we both ordered the Trifecta. I chose the waffle with potatoes instead of eggs, along with their chicken sausage patty, and I added a side salad with mixed greens and a lemon herb dressing. I also added a side of chicken. Initially, I thought the chicken breast would be about $2.50, but before placing the order our waiter came back and clarified that it would be about $5 and would come as strips instead of a full chicken breast. I appreciated him coming back to correct that. When the chicken came out, it was sliced into very thin pieces and was a little lukewarm. I mentioned it to the waiter, and he apologized and handled it professionally by removing it from the bill, which I appreciated. Overall, the food was okay, about a 3.5 out of 5 for me. The waffle was tasty, just as I remembered, and the potatoes were good as well. However, the chicken sausage patty wasn't very good. I personally didn't enjoy it and ended up leaving it on the plate. My husband ordered the pancake with pecans, scrambled eggs, and a side of grits with butter, and he enjoyed his meal. One thing I did like was that you can now pay your bill directly from your phone, which makes it really convenient when you're ready to go without waiting. Overall, the big win here was the service and hospitality. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and we appreciated being seated quickly even when it seemed busy. The food was decent, though I've had better, but the service made the experience pleasant.

I had the salmon eggs benedict, as I always do... It did not taste good at all. The Salmon didn't taste like real fish. Tags were bland and the only thing I really liked were the fresh red onions. Bummer. Now, I always like to wash it down with a purple haze... Thankfully it was still really tasty. Maybe the cooks were tired. *Shrugs* Lol. They close at 2:30 and I came in at 2:00 The inside was pretty empty with only maybe four tables in use. It was relaxing atmosphere... so maybe if I go another day during peak hours, it will taste better. We shall see. I haven't given up on you yet!

Online order for delivery:…read more I live in another state and wanted to have something delivered for family for Thanksgiving. Found this place on my food delivery apps. The price was perfect. I loved that it was several items including a dessert. Food was delivered fast. My brother said it smelled good when it arrived and also tasted good. Our server did not have much insight on any favorites, choices or menu items, as admittedly "she doesn't eat their food." Perhaps she has a specific diet and hates taking orders. She skipped right over me and took everyone's order before me (males) even though I was speaking to her. I really dislike when someone says that as they should know it's not good for business, however I simply take it as they don't like their job or is not sociable. It was the first time for my whole family, as we've skipped it many times for its parking lot neighbor--cheddars. (Please keep doing that). Black Bear Diner is a mediocre, moderately priced, cookie cutter dining experience for breakfast and lunch. It has a large menu of mostly same named breakfast/dinner all day menu kind of set up. Food comes fast, pancakes apparently come with no butter. The blackberry lemonade was enjoyed by my family (it is VERY sweet and I don't enjoy sugar), the pancakes portion to bacon ratio is poor, the white cheddar bacon mac n cheese has the same skimpy bacon ratio; is very forgettable and may have the same supplier as Panera bread's Mac in a bag. Now the star of the show, the bear sized chicken fried steak, is normal sized. I inquired if I'd gotten normal by mistake and was told the normal portion was about the size of a (tiny woman shaped hands in a circle demonstration--about this big). The giant steak is how we landed there in the first place--I've been wanting to try it forever. However, that's the takeaway. I wanted it, I tried it, I do not crave it and won't be going again. We really wished we'd ate at home that morning. This is not a get out of bed or a desired dining experience. In fact, I found it annoying to wait in line to pay for something you are in a hurry to get away from. They bussed us out of there while I was still picking at the burnt hash browns and something tells me that black bear makes its money just before cheddars opens at 11. Sleep in and skip this place, especially if you're hungry as a bear

Type of cuisine: American diner style options. Ambiance: Plastic everything. The space is yellowed with lighting and very reminiscent of 1980s fast food dining. Sticky booths welcomed us as we took our seats and were offered menus tableside to place our orders Our server even did magic tricks for us! What I ordered: Texas Bacon, Egg & Cheese Melt with Three Slices of Smithfield® Bacon, One Egg and Two Slices of Melted American Cheese served on Texas Toast and a side of Bert's Chili, Texas Sausage, Egg & Cheese Melt - Two Jimmy Dean® Sausage Patties, One Egg and Two Slices of Melted American Cheese served on Texas Toast with a side of Bert's Chili, and a side of hash browns and sauteed vegetables. What I loved: The Texas toast was fun and greasy and just what you'd want for a late-night meal after a day of travel. The veggies and hash browns were tasty and simple, buttery and good. It was definitely a great value.

TLDR: Worth a visit if you're in the area?…read more Wow! Hidden gem? Forgotten favorite? I don't know, but after tasting the food, we have to get the word out about this spot. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. While French fries, French Toast, and French bread, have crossed into American cuisine without incident, not so for the street food of Paris. Why? Well, like everything, it's the $$$. For one ham and cheese crepe, I could eat a Delicious Bacon, Egg, and Cheese McGriddle every day for a week. True, I'd have no silverware, but honestly I don't care.
