We visited Letty's Authentic Mexican while in town seeking a place for great food, service and ambience. From the moment we began walking up to the establishment we were greeted with the hostess who met us at the door and held it open. We sat ourselves at the bar and were provided menus. The bartender immediately greeted us followed by explaining the menu thoroughly. The services were top notch! He placed our orders and our food took no time to arrive in front of us. It was hot, seasoned well, and delicious! The drink I ordered was amazing as well and all ingredients were balanced perfectly! Letty's did NOT let down! My coworkers and I were in town for meetings and staying close to the IAH airport. We were planning to get dinner at Pappadoux or Pappasito's, but when I looked them up on Yelp, the reviews were not great. Instead, I stumbled upon Letty's and called to see if they had room for our large group. They were incredibly accommodating, and they were able to seat the 13 of us together with only 30 minutes of notice. The decor was fun and beautiful, the food was fantastic (esp the ribeye appetizer,) but it was the staff / team who truly stood out and made our experience so fantastic. From the jefe holding the door open to welcoming us, to our server suggesting off-menu vegetarian options, we could hardly believe how welcome we felt. The restaurant was spacious, clean and incredibly chic / well designed and though we had already eaten too much earlier that day, the drinks and dinner had fantastic flavor, great portion sizes and most importantly.. they were served with so much love. I was meeting a client and stopped briefly. The decor is what drew me back to try Letty's. The decor is bright colors like in Mexico, but with a feminine touch. Stopped here on a business trip and had the most incredible Mexican meal I have ever had. This sounds crazy but it's not. I really mean ever had! Honestly... the best service I've ever had. Raul and Michelle were extremely welcoming, gave us recommendations and literally made us feel at home. They were extremely attentive, I just can't rave enough about them. We had the mole enchiladas and one of their popular ceviche. They were so on top of it that they offered to let me try a sample mole just to make sure I liked the style since there are over 20 different varieties of Mole throughout Mexico. My husband and I went here for the first time for our anniversary. From the outside you would never know how beautiful it is on the inside! It's upscale in an area of Humble that you wouldn't expect. I ordered the quesabirria. It was so tasty. My husband ordered one of the ceviches. I also ordered a margarita that was delicious and came in a unique container. The only negative I have is the price point. Everything, even at lunch, is expensive. My margarita alone was $20! You also have to pay if you would like chips and salsa. I would like to go back and try brunch. I've heard it's really good too. We would go back for a special occasion, but it won't be on a weekly or monthly rotation for our family only because of the expense. read more

Such a fun spot for dinner! I always come with my family. We love the interior design and the fun presentation of the cocktails and food. They have such great drinks. My favorite is the elderflower Paloma but I also like the sangria. As for food, the birria tacos are a MUST. They are sooooo incredibly delicious and rich. I guess I've been in the mood for Mexican lately because I visited 2 authentic Mexican restaurants in the Houston area within a period of 3 days, Letty's being the 2nd one. They do not serve free chips and salsa here, like most all TexMex restaurants do. I came hoping for a reasonably priced lunch and you really won't find it here as the lunch menu ranges from $14 to $20. Dinner prices range from $17 to $25, with their trompo served tableside being $59. Their trompo dish is also served in a similar fashion at the 1st authentic Mexican restaurant I visited just 2 days prior, with similar pricing. Music in the background was salsa / tropical music during my visit although I'm a little disappointed that they let the same song repeat constantly about 10 or 12 times and nobody fixed it. I chose the Chile relleno with ground beef since I haven't had that in a while. You can choose between flour or corn tortillas, both of which are homemade. I chose flour. Chile relleno - it comes out from the kitchen very fast as others indicate. It's a pretty good version. The pepper was not spicy at all, except for the last bite right next to the seeds had a little blip of a kick. The dish comes with refried beans and rice. I enjoyed the beans the most as they tasted similar to beans I used to eat in Mexico as a teenager, homemade obviously. The rice for me was just okay. Other interesting menu items include: -crunchy pork belly served over guacamole; -4 different types of ceviche; however, Mahi is the only choice of protein; and -a traditional Chile relleno filled with fruits. Their lunch menu is tex-mex for the most part, except for maybe the mole enchiladas. They do not list fajitas for one on the menu, but will make it for you for around half the menu price or an order for 2 persons. 1 star off for the prices and not changing the music. This is more pricy than other restaurants in the area, it is Humble after all, so I hope they last long enough for me to return and try their beef fajitas. read more

We stopped in n to this unassuming cafe built in an old strip mall style front. We only had drinks and appetizers but both were fitting and great! Service was speedy and attentive. The decor is very quaint with a youthful atmosphere (they have a insta-worthy backdrop if that's your thing!). We opted to try the zarzamora drinks that come in a unique hanging cup. They are a blackberry margarita with a touch of pineapple and agave to sweeten. Warning, if you don't like sweet alcohol drinks, this isn't for you! That being said, it's made with Avion Blanco and has a good pour. At $19 a drink, it tips the scale to the higher side for a specialty margarita but worth a try for sure. The restaurant doesn't offer free chips and salsa but do have it as an option on the menu as a salsa flight that's well worth it with three house made salsas. The chips are traditional flour chips and not bagged corn chips. They end up being deceivingly filling! We topped off the app list with the yellow queso which was unremarkable but good. Overall, I have this excellent spot as a must try but beware a couple of drinks and appetizers will run pricey for the area and the fare. Excellent staff, great decor, and an amazing bartender make this a must try spot. We plan to come out for on a weekend and check out their brunch options! Until next time! read more

I got stranded in Humble, Texas for a day. I saw Letty's had good reviews and not far from the hotel. Service was great.. very attentive. I ordered the enmoladas which came with a side of rice and beans. The mole was really good! It's hard to find a good mole but man this one was right there. What a find! A colorful, little place off old 1960 that is full of authentic flavors at reasonable prices. We were immediately met by our service who genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. So glad we found this amazing restaurant tucked away in Humble! Service, ambiance, food, ownership - and overall vibe was spot on! We're visiting from Denver and decided to go with all our server's recommendations since we have never been. The appetizer Aguachile de ribeye was delicious, and we also had the "Suprema de pollo en crema de poblano" - if you like a very slight heat, you can't go wrong here - we had to ask Raul how they made the sauce because we practically licked it clean. Minga, the owner, is expanding to get ready for the World Cup coming to town and is very, rightfully, proud of his new-ish 18 month establishment.
