I'm so happy to have found Cafe Petra. It's beautifully decorated and the service was amazing. We had a group of 5 and decided to order the family meal style for 5. The food was divine and arrived promptly. We could have gotten away with the 3 person family meal because portions were huge! I will definitely be returning.

It's been tough trying to find some good Mediterranean food in the area and this one didn't fall too short. I ordered the Combo Kabob Plate ($24.95) which came with came with chicken, shrimp and kefta kabob. The plate had great presentation and everything was hot when I picked it up. The overall high on this plate was the chicken. You can tell it was marinated and has a great flavor and tenderness to it. You could really taste the authentic lebanese spices in the kefta kabob and had a strong flavor of mint in it. The shrimp weren't the best, you can tell they were previously frozen. As for the rice, it was not good and somehow overcooked and undercooked at the same time. The hummus was decent and the feta salad is good if you're a garlic lover. The plate also came with pita bread but it's very thin and chewy, I would pass on that. I also ordered some tahini sauce ($0.95) which I loved as it was super lemony!! I think I would probably return for the chicken kabobs again and maybe try something different on the menu because the flavors are there in the food. I do feel like for $24.95 I did not receive a lot of food and looking through the menu everything seems overpriced.

This restaurant will do well in Atascocita! Every table was occupied by the time we left. The owner was so friendly and helpful. He was waiting tables and made everyone feel welcome. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. It was a bit warm inside, so hoping they'll get that fixed going into summer. We ordered the pickled radishes. They were crunchy and paired well with my chicken shawarma wrap. The chicken was tasty. It could have used a little more tzatziki sauce. The hummus and pita was tasty. My husband had the chicken shawarma plate with rice and hummus. The winner of the night, for me, was the baklava cheesecake! I'm sure I'll be dreaming about it tonight! We'll def go back and try other menu items like the lamb shank and gyro.

Cafe Petra is a great addition to the area. I expected a pleasant dinner, but Cafe Petra exceeded my expectations. The food was so flavorful and portions were generous. We will definitely be back! The restrooms are clean and service is friendly. It's a BYOB which is a plus.

I love the decor and details they've put into the inside. They have nice seating outside too for when the weather cools down. The menu has a good selection. We ordered the combo gyro plates and I got the larger one that included the appetizers too. Portions were great and they serve each plate with a delicious salad. Very fresh! Service was good, although, I think the waitress was new and had to ask about a few things, but she was attentive throughout our dinner. My only critique is that the beef/lamb gyro was a bit salty for my liking. I look forward to trying the redfish dish next time. They have BYOB, so bring your wine, if you like it with dinner . They'll provide stemware. I'll be back!

Can't say anything right now I'm having a shawarmagasm. I was reluctant to go but man is great and their prices are phenomenal place is so pretty and clean and they even let my puppy come with me inside. I forgot to say best part they use chicken breast and it's not dry no salt or seasonings needed when you get home to eat it

Cafe Petra is a much needed and welcomed addition to the atascocita area. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice, they actually put quite a bit of effort to give the Mediterranean feel. Service is great, all the staff is very friendly and welcoming. My wife and I have ate here twice now and we have had the baba ghanoush, combination chicken and gyro plate, the lentil soup and the baklava cheesecake. Everything was delicious and the portions are very generous. We really enjoyed the baba ghanoush and both the chicken and gyro meat. Apparently they are byob too which is always welcomed in my opinion. Especially for a nice little cafe like this place. My only complaint is they need a sign at the front that says to either seat yourself or wait to be seated. Give it a try you won't regret it!

Everything was so YUMMY!! Inside is decorated nicely. The staff was amazing and so kind. They were packed and we sat at a table outside until one inside became available. Normally for this quality food we would have to travel at least 45 minutes, but it's just right down the road now!! We met the owners brother I believe. Such a nice guy and you can tell they all take pride. The price is worth it for the serving sizes and flavor that you get! Can't wait to go back!!

Amazing service , great food, great drinks ,good vibes. I will for sure come again. Shout to Bella for being a great server!

This is the case with Lama Mediterranean Cuisine in The Woodlands. My wife had a doctor's appointment at 2 pm and we live about 35 miles away, I figured go early and get some lunch and then get to the doctor with a full stomach. We put the address into the GPS and pulled right up in front of the restaurant. While it was nice weather outside, we decided to sit indoors and I am glad we did because I noticed some diners outdoors were batting away insects. Our server, Abraham came quickly and took our drink orders while we studied the menu and admired the beautifully decorated interior of the restaurant. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

I finally visited this Greek/Mediterranean/Persian restaurant on a Sunday for lunch to see why it's…read morerated so high. Inside is elegant and well decorated with glass tables and large rugs everywhere. Looking at the menu, it's a mix of various cuisines, but they do separate out the Persian dishes which are somewhat similar to Mediterranean ones just cost a little more and have different spices altogether. If you visit on weekend nights, you'll likely get to see belly dancing here. I settled on the chicken shawarma wrap, even though it costs a few dollars more than the chicken pita. It does come with one side for $21,and I chose French fries. It tasted pretty good, but you do have to get used to the pickles which gives the wrap an overall weird taste. These are not your typical pickles which go well with American fried chicken sandwiches. A Mexican tortilla is used as a wrap here instead of the bread they use for wraps in other Mediterranean restaurants in Houston. If I wanted a chicken burrito, i would have dined at a Mexican restaurant. The fries are previously frozen ones and lightly seasoned and really only decent when hot. Unfortunately this is one of those restaurants which takes care of newly seated guests and large parties but ignores the tables of 1. Not my fault I only have one in my party. They seated me in the corner and another gentleman came about 20 mins after me and I never saw a waitress go to his table after being served his entree either. The chef or kitchen hand is the one who brings out the entree from the kitchen here and my waitress never showed up until they try to take your plate away. However, I was still eating and also waiting for 10 mins on a refill. I can only eat so much before needing to take a sip of a liquid...but if you come with a party of one here..you will likely be waiting awhile. The lady taking my plate wasn't even my waitress either. Meanwhile, for the gentleman sitting outside alone, I observed his drink to be empty a while and they weren't refilling his either. He finally leaves and goes to a cash register to pay. What? A semi-fine dining elegant spot with mandolin playing in the background has a cash register where you have to go up to pay? What is this world coming to? With these prices, they should roll out red carpet from the front door to your table each time you walk in....and surely make the waitress do something for once and take your card and swipe it herself at the cash register which shouldn't be in the middle of the damn room. Sort of defeats the purpose of being elegant. Did I mention the glasses are plastic here too. If they want to be refined, try at least using glasses for drinks.

Our server, Lance, was phenomenal--attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food. He made us feel right at home. We started with the spicy hummus, and it was a total standout. Creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. Plus, the portion was generous--perfect for sharing (though I kind of wanted it all to myself!). The gyro plate was another hit. The meat was tender and flavorful, with a great blend of spices. It leaned more toward the soft side rather than crispy, which we actually loved--it made every bite melt in your mouth. The accompanying rice and salad were fresh and well-seasoned, rounding out the dish beautifully. And let's talk about the baklava--flaky, buttery layers with just the right touch of sweetness and a satisfying crunch. It was the perfect way to end the meal. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the flavors really transported us. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu--next time, I've got my eye on the lamb kebabs and falafel! Highly recommend Mezze for anyone craving delicious Mediterranean food and top-notch service.

The space itself was clean, cute, and cozy--perfect for an intimate gathering. The food was delicious as well. When we arrived on a Tuesday evening, it was empty other than maybe one other family. When we entered we were told to pick a seat and then given the menus. The second I saw the menu it seemed a bit expensive- I was looking at the vegetarian plate where you can pick 5 which was for $25 I think- I got falafels, tazeki, hummus, another spread, pickled turnips. They didn't have many other options that were appetizing- I'm not into the eggplant or okra. While waiting for the food the waitresses were sitting on their phones chatting laughing, I thought it was unprofessional, that's not what you want to see when you go to a nice place. We were given salad- the salad already had dressing on it which was spicy! Me and my friend could not figure out what it is - it was tangy spicy I think from garlic more chemically tasting rather than Cheyenne spicy. A bit too spicy for both of us. I would have wished they put the dressing on the side so we can add on our own. The food arrived and was given pita bread as well which was nice. The food was not flavorful, the hummus tasted Bland, falafels were actually pretty good but only were given . The pita bread I was hoping was gonna be fluffy but this was so thin and chewy didnt like it. Everything wasn't to my liking or lacking something except the falafels which I only had two of. I think the falafel wrap might have been a better option but due to the price I won't be back.
