A few weeks ago, my family went to CAVA for the second time, and we absolutely loved it. The food was great, and the team members were friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful when we were learning how to order. We left so impressed that we couldn't wait to go back. Unfortunately, our experience last night was completely different. We placed an online order, and my high school son picked it up. When I looked at the bag, I noticed that the sauces had spilled because the lids were not closed properly. The sauces were all over the napkins, utensils, and pita bread. I was willing to overlook that as an honest mistake. However, when I looked at the actual food, the portions were significantly smaller than what we had received during our previous visits. I thought perhaps online orders received different portions, so again, I was willing to let it go. Then I noticed that the pita chips were missing, despite being part of the order. I had also requested extra pickled onions, but there were barely any. At that point, I decided to go back to the restaurant to have the order corrected. What should have been a simple situation turned into another 30 minutes of driving back and forth and waiting for the food to be remade. What was most disappointing, however, was the customer service. The employees appeared frustrated and annoyed that we had returned and needed the order corrected. Rather than feeling like they wanted to help resolve the issue, we felt like we were inconveniencing them. We were also left waiting while employees helped other customers who had gotten in line behind us. Mistakes happen. I completely understand that. Food gets left out of orders, lids don't always get closed properly, and things can be missed during a busy shift. What matters is how you treat the customer when a mistake happens. In my experience, when a restaurant makes a mistake, the staff typically apologizes, fixes the issue, and makes the customer feel valued. Unfortunately, that was not our experience last night. After being so impressed with our first two visits, this was honestly one of the worst customer-service experiences we've had at a restaurant. I hope management sees this and uses it as an opportunity to address what happened and ensure customers are treated with kindness and respect when something goes wrong. We really enjoyed CAVA and were excited to become regular customers. It's disappointing that one experience can change that so quickly. read more

Cava is my go to "fast food". I love that there are many options of proteins, veggies, and sauces. Everything tastes fresh and pretty healthy. My only complaint is there typically only one to two working so the service is a bit slow. read more

Whenever I need a good, healthy portion of greens and tasty veggies, CAVA is my go-to spot. I stopped by this location in the middle of their prep for early dinner, I imagine, so it wasn't busy at all. They were doing FIFO (first in, first out) switches, which made the salad bar look a little messy, but as someone who worked at Panera in high school and college, I completely get it. You have to take advantage of your downtime when you can! My only ongoing qualm with CAVA (and this applies across locations) is that they can be pretty stingy with the portion sizes of rice and greens. I usually have to ask for an extra ladle just to fill up my bowl properly. The staff at this location didn't mind at all and happily obliged. The pita bread didn't seem as fresh as usual, but everything else was good and consistent. Just what I needed for a post-gym, late lunch session. read more

Love Cava. Hate this location. The food area is always messy with most of the food containers empty. The workers have no sense of urgency and seemingly no care to help or greet customers. This is the only location in the area, and as a vegan my restaurant options are already extremely limited. So I keep returning with hopes that the next trip will be better, but it never is. My best advice is to not go within 30 min of the store closing for the best chance of them having all the food options available, be prepared for a lackluster Cava ambiance, but as long as the food is available the taste is always solid. read more

I came in at 7:55 PM (they don't close until 10), and was immediately met with unprofessionalism from the associates. Not only were they out of nearly all the essentials -- no rice, no key toppings, no pita -- but when asked if they could make more rice, the staff flat-out refused with no explanation and a dismissive attitude. There were four other customers behind us, all hoping to order, and every single one of us ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. It's one thing to be out of stock, but it's another to be unapologetically rude and unwilling to help. For a restaurant that advertises fresh, customizable meals, this was a major letdown. We are extremely disappointed in the effort and manner in which we were treated. When we got there the order that we made didn't have meatballs ready. They were cooking them as we were ordering and moving too fast we acquired a man named Abdul. Upon asking for what we wanted and being outright ignored, was very unsettling. Once we got the plate, the meat wasn't even cooked all the way and he tried to argue that it was us and dismissed us again. When we expressed frustration, he said we needed to calm down, but we had already paid so we told him he's gonna make the food again or give us our money back. Let me start with I love Cava and frequent other locations throughout the city when I'm working. However, the Kingwood location is close to home and is consistently disappointing. The cons: Roasted veggies have been either raw or burnt, and the portions can be pretty stingy. I picked up an online order and the bowl was half filled. It was a greens and grains bowl, and I've had tacos with more lettuce on them than this bowl. The pros: The other part of our order was a pita that was more generous in size. I've been here so many times it's almost my weekly meal. I really like this healthy meal where they make the veggies taste delicious. I like the variety of dips/hummus, toppings, and sauces that they offer. So far Ive only gotten the bowls. I like their spicy chicken and veggies with the spinach and lentils. Went there after my daughter's game since we were on that side, first time I've seen them be so dirty. Took minutes to even take my husband and I order, wasn't full inside and didn't apologize for the wait. Was out of things and food wasn't fresh, then as I went to go sit I slipped on an unmarked wet floor! The only thing I was told was " oh be careful you don't want to break your other foot " with a giggle (I have been in a boot and on crutches since October) no apology until I asked for a mgr because I started getting shooting pain! A couple times that I have been there, I overheard the GM being unnecessarily rude to an employee and I overheard the employees talk about on how the GM called one of their colleagues a slur.
