I am a huge fan of Greek food, so I was super excited at the prospect of a Greek buffet! The place is quite large when you walk in and has a long set of cooling and warming tables. The first set is of cold salads and a great way to start your meal. Then it moves on to stuffed grape leaves, chicken, gyros, fish which was all delicious. I marked this restaurant down a star to four stars as there was a sign that you had to ask for lamb shank. This was the only lamb available besides Gyros. We were there for at least 30 minutes and never did anyone come out of the kitchen that I could ask for lamb shank. This was very disappointing as it is my favorite. And for nearly $20 per person for a lunch buffet, lamb should be included. So while dessert of baklava and rice pudding was great we most likely will not return.

The food is amazing. The eggplant is one of my favorites next to the lamb shank. Everything is good! There is no extra charge for your beverage. My first time having rose water, which was refreshing.

They have a good variety when it comes to food AND drinks. The customer service was great, restaurant was clean, and most importantly food was delicious. I will keep returning. I will keep enjoying. Dimassi's makes me smile.

Love Dimassis Excellent healthier food. I've been to all the locations and they're always so helpful I actually live in houston and get this for dinner on the way home.

Was near this place today for lunch, so i decided to stop by and see how they have been doing, and was ready for the weekend special of lamb shanks. When I got there come to find out they don't serve the lamb shanks till after 4pm, bummer. That's ok, I ate what they had. Good food, great tasting. My only complaint is that the area where I was sitting at, near the drink station, seemed pretty hot, no ac or fan seemed to be keeping that area cool. The music was blaring, and at times bursts of static sound. Other than that, everything was great, except for the fact of not serving the lamb shanks for lunch. Price is $25, if you're wondering, and thinking of checking this place out.

Worst service ever. Been here over 40 mins and no PITA bread. Asked three times. Many customers are not happy with service.

I came with some friends for dinner on a Saturday and this place was packed. It's tucked away in the middle of a shopping strip and the parking lot isn't that big. That being said, parking sucks. What they do offer that I haven't ever seen at a Chinese buffet is valet parking. I made a quick drive around the parking lot and decided to valet to save time. The young gentleman parking cars solo did a great job and works on tips. You pay what you want. They have a pretty large waiting area which we luckily didn't have to utilize. We got seated right away, but soon after, the waiting area filled up. The space inside is huge with lots of seating. They have neon lights and TVs everywhere which is a step up from your regular buffets. In the center is the buffet area with different stations and is very organized and clean. Customer service was good. Our plates never stacked up at the table and our drinks never went empty. The big draw here is the seafood portion of the buffet. I love crab legs but I don't like the work involved to eat it. Unlike other buffets where people pounce the minute the staff put it out, here they keep it well stocked and no ones fighting to get their share. I prefer my crab legs steamed and warm, but here they are served cold. I turned my focus to the huge seafood selection and sushi. They have shrimp and fish in all kinds of different preparations and I gotta say, everything tasted great. They also have a hot pot and hibachi section along with your regular Chinese food buffet offerings. I don't know if it's because I don't frequent Chinese buffets often, but here, I liked everything I tried and thoroughly enjoyed my meal. They also have a nice dessert station and even have slushie station for the kiddos. The best part of it all is the price tag is just a little over 20 bucks. You definitely get your money's worth here. I think there is something for everyone here. It's a shame it's so far from where I live. Buffetopia is definitely the best Chinese buffet in Houston.

We weren't even seated yet and she was already asking what we wanted to drink. I'm thinking uhm can we at least sit down first?? She seemed very impatient. My mom sat down first and pointed out that the table was dirty. She responded back by telling her "it's part of the table ma'am". My mom then pulled out a napkin and wiped it to show her that no...the table was actually dirty. We asked to move to a different table and she grabbed our silverware and flung it on the next table over and again asked for drink orders. We all were very confused at the attitude bc what is wrong with asking to sit at a diff table bc the other one is dirty?? If I was by myself, I honestly would've just left and went somewhere else to eat, but bc I was with family, I didn't want to make it a big deal. As for the food, they did have a lot of options. Everything was flavored nicely, but not everything was hot. I also wasn't a fan of the prepackaged ice cream cups so we went elsewhere for dessert. Some of the bathroom stalls were dirty too. Overall our experience here just okay. The poor customer service alone was enough to make me not want to come back.

When I go to Panchos, I expect to eat unreasonable amounts of buffet Mexican food. And they execute. It's the promised land of quickly made and quickly served flautas, tacos, enchiladas, and so much more. Literally so so much more food. Is there a better example of great service than being able to hoist a tiny flag and have servers rush to your table? Better ambiance than seemingly endless trays of food and fresh sopaipillas in the air? No. You can pry Houston's last Ponchos from my cold dead hands.

While in line with my friends at the buffet, I overheard two comments. The person in front of me…read moresaid that as soon as they saw the food, they knew it wasn't going to be that great. The person behind me said that they remember the place being more lively and now it felt kinda meh. Both were dead on. It's no wonder most of these locations closed. Pancho's used to be a Tex Mex institution in Houston back in the 90s. They were scattered around town, food was decent (as you'd expect from a buffet), service was excellent, and families could go there to eat their fill for cheap. The current version doesn't really match that. The buffet is still there, lined by items that were clearly pulled out of a frozen box and quick re-heated to be put on the line. They churn replacements fast, but the taste doesn't even live up to the buffets you'll find elsewhere in town. For those who haven't been before, you basically go through the buffet line once, then there's a little flag at the table and you raise it up when you need a refill of anything. They had two waitresses running orders back to the buffet line for about 30+ tables. The end result was that service was extremely slow, and we weren't even getting everything we asked for. Our waitress didn't had a pad and paper, so she was trying to remember two different orders from memory. I gave up and went back to the line myself to get a refill plate rather than waiting and risking getting an incorrect order. Despite waiting in line, it took about the same amount of time, but at least I got exactly what I wanted. They must know that the waitresses are understaffed and overwhelmed because others were doing the same. We'd heard about the sopapillas being a hit dessert, but didn't see any on the buffet line, so we grabbed what was there. Once we'd eaten our fill, the waitress suddenly reappeared by with a basket of fresh sopapillas and we had to turn her down because we couldn't eat them. I'm going to chalk this one up as a place that was worth visiting for the sole reason of nostalgia and realizing that it would not be worth visiting ever again.

We ate our hearts out and enjoyed every dish we ordered. We started with goat bone soup which took me back to my childhood when we used to eat at the dhabas on the highways during our family trips. It tasted exactly the same, peppery spicy and delicious! We also had veg kal dosa, cut mirchi and gongura mutton curry. Cut mirchi was so delicately made and it melted in my mouth. Dosas were great with the gongura mutton. The quantities were generous and prices were reasonable for the quality. Service was awesome! I am officially jealous of the people who could eat this food whenever they want to.

1/5 Stars - By far the worst Indian dining experience I've had in recent memory. I would give this…read morerating less than 1 star if that was an option. Here's the summary: Subpar Food - Entirely lacked authentic flavor; tandoori chicken arrived lukewarm (tasting microwaved), and "extra hot" korma had zero spice or taste. Inattentive Service - Required flagging down staff just to place an initial order. Hidden Charges - Unlabeled table water bottles were covertly billed without prior disclosure. Questionable Payment Practices - Staff demanded blind payment on a card reader, refusing to show an itemized bill beforehand until insistence forced them to cancel the screen. If you'd like to know more: The food lacked any authentic flavor or expected preparation. The tandoori chicken, usually served sizzling on a hot plate (my experience at other Indian restaurants), arrived lukewarm, tasting as though it had simply been microwaved. Both the korma and the dishes requested at an "extra hot" spice level were entirely devoid of flavor and heat. Service was equally disappointing, requiring us to flag down a waiter just to place an initial order. Compounding the poor experience, two bottles of water left on the table were billed at $1 each without any prior disclosure or mention from the staff. Most concerning was the payment process: the waiter presented a card scanner with a total, refusing to provide an itemized bill beforehand and stating we could only see it after paying. (Only after insisting did the waiter cancel the payment screen so I could review the charges). Between the subpar food, inattentive service, and questionable billing practices, this establishment feels shady and untrustworthy. I cannot recommend it and will not be returning.
