A friend and I were visiting Houston for a few days and were looking to binge on good Indian food that texan Indians are always boasting about. This place didn't disappoint. We ate our hearts out and enjoyed every dish we ordered. We started with goat bone soup which took me back to my childhood when we used to eat at the dhabas on the highways during our family trips. It tasted exactly the same, peppery spicy and delicious! We also had veg kal dosa, cut mirchi and gongura mutton curry. Cut mirchi was so delicately made and it melted in my mouth. Dosas were great with the gongura mutton. The quantities were generous and prices were reasonable for the quality. Service was awesome! I am officially jealous of the people who could eat this food whenever they want to.

    Butter Chicken with naan

I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty this place is. The butter chicken was great, rice was cooked to perfection, and the naan bread was nice. They have many different types of naan bread to choose from. I will say the price is a bit high, at $18 for a butter chicken, but it's similar everywhere else in the area. I have noticed that the butter chicken will occasionally taste different when I order it. It seems like the amount of spice they add is inconsistent. Occasionally, it has a strong bbq taste. I've also had the daal and I thought that was perfect. Overall, this is a great addition for Humble, Texas.

This location is in a shared plaza with plenty of parking. Group sizes of 4-5 people are ideal. The service was good but we did have to ask a couple times for different times. The garlic naan was good but thin, I like it a bit more doughy. The vegetable samosas were really good and a bit of a kick. The chicken korma and rolls masala was good I would get that again. They were out of a couple items on the menu like their chai.

I have used the Curry House multiple times now for Catering. Their catering menu is smaller and more limited than what is available in the restaurant. I typically order chicken tikka, chicken curry, and jeera rice. I also order the garlic naan. They are absolutely delicious. Their dishes have the tendency to be a little bit on the spicy side. However, in my opinion, the word "spicy" is such a personal taste. So I will put it to you this way: when my various customers have tasted the food, the nationalities that would be considered eastern nationalities have all enjoyed it. Nationalities that would be considered more western have thought it to be spicy. There are exceptions to every rule and this is a generalization but it is simply the best way I can describe the level of spice forthe food at this establishment. As far as the customer service and catering goes, the Curry House has been spot on with the deliveries and timeliness. Everything is packaged individually. It does not matter if I am ordering for 30 people or 60 people, everything is packaged separately and is easy to distribute to a larger group of people. My only complaint is they charge extra for plasticware and napkins on large catering orders. Bottom line - Really good Indian cuisine. I have thoroughly enjoyed eating the catered meals from this establishment. I definitely recommend them. Bon appétit, y'all.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at The Curry House on Sunday!! I absolutely love Indian food and was excited to try a new place while visiting my mom in the area. The staff were so polite and made sure our meal was perfect. We ate in the restaurant and placed an order to-go and they made sure the timing of everything was perfect. We were able to eat our meal and still have hot food to take home to everyone else. They even gave us two plates of Indian sweets on the house to celebrate Diwali. It was so kind! I had a mango lassi to drink. It was perfect- sweet and creamy but not too heavy. For my meal, I had muttar paneer and my mom had saag paneer. Both were delicious. There were generous chunks of paneer, the sauce was perfectly spiced, and the dish had a little bit of heat but wasn't overly spicy. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a large booth right by the window. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to spot for Indian food-- both dine in and take out!

Ambiance: (4/5) There is plenty of seating and it was clean. There is also lots of parking. Price: (4/5) Prices seem average for the area. Food: (4/5) I got the paneer Tika masala which was good. It had all the spices I was expecting. I was hoping for more paneer and the portion seems a bit small. The veg biryani had a huge portion and had a lot of great spices. It had a chutney come with it that had a slight coconut flavor that I did not enjoy. I ate the biryani with the paneer tikka masala and it really enhanced the flavor. Service: (5/5) Food comes out quick and staff is very nice.

I ordered a few vegan dishes, they were good/average (I rarely find an Indian food place I don't like). The dishes seemed very oily but that's typical in many Indian restaurants. But I found their Gobi Manchurian terrible (which I'm kinda basing this review off of) . VERY salty, not sweet at all, and just soggy/mushy and chewy; I kept thinking dog food for some reason. I kept trying to force myself to eat it and I was very hungry. I ended up throwing most of it away. I'd be willing to try a few other dishes if I were in the area and too lazy to look for another place. The staff is very nice and the restaurant itself is nice too.

Visited this location a few times now, I have to say they do get it right most of the time with the flavor of the food. I'm not sure if they have different chef's or not but the quality of food is better during the weekdays than weekends. Nonetheless, a good South Asian restaurant in the Humble area to try out for sure

Recently tried this place out and I would say the food was okay at best. I've had better butter chicken and the amount of chicken you get in the entree is so little. Ordered a side of garlic naan which was pretty good. I ordered to go and I got an order of the vegetable samosas, unfortunately they forgot it in my order :( The mango lassi was delicious and the man that took my order was very nice.

We have never been disappointed with this restaurant! We have come often enough that the waiters remember us. We never have to wait for seats or service. This time we tried the Kashmiri Naan bread for the first time and wow was that delicious- almost like a dessert bread! I saved a piece to go with my Madras coffee and it was delicious! We have brought friends who have brought others here as well. It is a must try restaurant!

Beware of the goat from this place !! One or two hard ones are expected, but nearly all of them ??? Shouldn't occur at this price point !!!

Great food and usually great service. Some of the best Indian food around for the price. Love the fish and the tikka masala and the korma.

Great food overall!…read more The food here is definitely great--lots of choices and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. You can tell why this place is popular. The service could use a little improvement during busy times, and the ambiance felt a bit crowded, but that's probably because so many people enjoy coming here. Overall, still a very good experience and worth visiting for the food!

This place is a bit far from central Houston and central north Houston, but it's such a great gem! It gets quite busy but they have a number system where you walk in, check in and get a number, and then you get called. It gets pretty busy but the line goes by fast. Parking is also a bit of a hassle as the lot is very small for the amount of people which is a downside. The Chinese food they have is so so, but the seafood is where it's at. Their crab legs are always so fresh and sweet, and rarely salty. We also love their crawfish as it's full of flavor, fresh, and always piping hot. Their sushi selection is decent and also pretty good quality for buffet sushi. The seafood reminds me of Las Vegas buffet quality. Dessert selection is ok. I just go for the ice cream and some fruit and that's pretty much it. Inside it does get pretty hectic and everything is fast paced, but that's good if you want to eat the most you can in such little time! The servers are always attentive and take away empty plates, refill drinks, and are happy to assist with anything you need. All in all, this is a great bang for your buck if you want a good variety of food with amazingly fresh seafood.

As we walked in, we were immediately greeted by Eric and seated. He sat us in a private cozy nook but we asked to move to the booths with tv viewing access. Eric took the time to explain the menu and offered his suggestions. He greeted and checked on everyone. As he spoke to people, he would thank them for coming back and converse as if he was speaking to old friends. The customer service was superb. My husband ordered a michelada with Michelob Ultra. He said it was a few degrees shy of having ice in it, who doesn't love a cold beer! For dinner we ordered the gumbo with sausage, red beans and rice, and the twin lobster rolls. The gumbo had a dark roux. It was decent but the spice level was a bit much for me. After about four bites, my husband took over. He enjoyed it. Next was the red beans and rice with sausage. The flavor was good. My only complaint was the sausage pieces were too big for one bite. Lastly was the twin lobster rolls with Cajun fries. The fries were crispy and I'd compare them to Charlie's. The roll had generous portions of delicious lobster. We chose a hot roll but they do serve it cold if you prefer. The basket is served with a 2 oz helping of melted butter for you to drizzle on your rolls. The flat top rolls were buttery, soft, and grilled to perfection. Overall, we enjoyed them but they were missing just a touch of something, maybe a spice, I can't pinpoint it. I would definitely get them again though! The food was all hot and fresh. I overheard Eric telling another customer they don't have heat lamps and everything is brought out as soon as it comes off the stove. The location is in the center of booming shopping centers. This is a great lunch or dinner spot that welcomes casual family friendly dining. I'm glad we returned, we will be back.
