BUYER BEWARE -- I visited Anus during their grand opening week and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was extremely chaotic, the staff seemed overwhelmed, and the wait times were very long. There were flies throughout the restaurant, which immediately impacted the ambiance and overall experience. When I finally received my food, the curry was extremely thick and appeared improperly blended. The meat was overly fatty and filled with loose bones. I almost chipped my tooth while eating because bones were throughout the curry. There was also an excessive amount of oil in the dish. I was genuinely expecting a much better experience based on the hype surrounding the opening. Unfortunately, between the service, food quality, cleanliness concerns, and atmosphere, I would rate my experience 0/10.

We decided to try Anu's Indian Bar and Grill and what a disappointment. We were very disappointed with the service and food. Won't be back again!! The Samosas were sprinkled with white pepper on top and their website photo show 4 per serving, both the Butter Chicken and Saag Paneer also looked totally different from the website photos both looked more like soup with no flavor on anything! We also order Jeera Rice and the server forgot it.

Everything about this place was too good! The place is cute it smelled really good coming in. I loved the $5 margarita deal and desserts. Everything was explained well and there was pictures on the menu to show what the food look like. Overall I enjoyed myself and will definitely come again!

The moment I walked through the door, the smell alone had me questioning why I hadn't ordered anything for myself. I walked up to the counter, gave them the name on the order, and boom the food was in my hands. I truly appreciate a restaurant that respects to-go times, and they absolutely nailed it. While exiting, I noticed they also offer a lunch buffet from 11-2:30 which immediately caught my attention for a future visit. Now comes the dangerous part. The kids opened their containers of butter chicken with rice and spicy aloo, and my mouth instantly started watering. The portions were generous, and I found myself asking the same question over and over...**Why didn't I order anything?!** Curiosity officially got the best of me, so yes... I stole a bite. Actually... maybe two. The butter chicken was incredibly flavorful with a rich, creamy sauce that had me wishing there was another container with my name on it. But the real surprise for me was the spicy aloo. I'd never had potatoes prepared quite like that before, and they completely stole the show. I wanted that entire side for myself. Needless to say, next time I'm not just picking up food for the family I'm ordering my own meal too. This visit was more than enough to convince me I'll be back to explore the rest of the menu.

My entire experience from start to finish was just perfect and well executed by the staff. I made reservations since I wasn't sure how difficult it would be to get a table. Upon entering....the restaurant only seemed half full but by the time I left, nearly every table was full. We were actually seated in a decent spot toward the rear of one section at a 2 top so it was nice and quiet. We started off with the oyster appetizer which seemed strange but turned out to be actually really good. The oysters were probably the east coast variety as they're visually smaller and better quality than gulf oysters. They seemed more steamed than roasted. I prefer chargrilled when cooking them but this was definitely an interesting take on an oyster appetizer that I'm glad I tried. For the entrees, we tried the filet with eggplant fritters and the Chilean seabass. Filet - this is a 6oz portion from Gourmet Ranch, but very tasty, cooked perfectly and of course tender. It seemed to be prepared with a dry indian spice rub. The menu didn't indicate it, but the filet already comes with the truffle mashed potatoes and you can choose 1 additional side. The eggplant fritters were very tasty, especially when dipping them in the red sauce. Note: The menu indicates you receive a choice of sauces with your steak (madras curry or kashmiri chili chimichurri) but the waitress didn't ask and just brought the chimichurri, which isn't spicy. I probably would have selected that one anyway. Seabass - The seabass was definitely on the smaller side but it had a nice presentation. It comes with an orangish sauce, asked for it on the side, which we felt was similar to the curry gravy you receive at Malaysian restaurants when ordering the roti canai. I already had dessert plans somewhere else, so I didn't get a chance to see Amrina's dessert menu, but I would definitely return and try it on a future visit. There were no issues whatsoever the entire night. Everything was timed perfectly, everything tasted delicious, but this all comes at a cost. Mine was around 100/pp on this given night and that's with no alcohol.

To be honest, when I made the reservation we didn't reserve anything with the tapas menu but we went with it. We were sat near the bar giving us the view of the kitchen and asked to check out the menus. I did the vegetarian tapas and my husband did the non vegetarian tapas. I absolutely love Indian street food so this worked out. In order we recieved: Pani puri - the puris were crunchy, had some spice and the passionfruit topping was adding the tangy spice, delicious! It also had avocado and fruit which is so unique. Presentation was picture worthy! Papidi chaat- not one of my favorites but tasted pretty usual, I enjoyed the yogurt also giving it some tang. Bhel puri- tasted like your typical bhel puri but the topping placed on the top was very unique- made it seem a little more high end. Pok pok po - the presentation was very unique- I almost didn't understand the dog statue as seen in my photo but the food was still good! But I also learned that the chef has another sister restaurant downtown called Pok Pok Po mainly Indian style chicken. Paneer wrap- had some heat! The chutney was a good addition to the wrap Birthday chai bomb- there was a chocolate ball where you pour hot chai on top and it was delicious! Choice of popsicle- the last item- at this point we were extremely full, I picked the passion fruit popsicle and it was fresh and delicious! The presentation again didn't really make any sense to me. Overall- the tasting menu was actually a really good surprise and delicious! I wound highly recommend! The staff were great, the chef brought us one item and introduced himself- definetly felt like a special night.

Once inside, we were greeted by the hostess, who, once I told her of my reservation, took us to our table. Once we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our server, Saman. She told us she would give us a minute to decide on what we were wanting and that she would be back. I already knew what I was wanting as I was very excited to eat here, but I wanted to give my family a chance to look over the menu in case they wanted to pick out something different. We were brought water by one of the other servers, and then Saman came back and asked if we were ready. I ordered: -Chai with Jaggery: 7/10 was good but not something I would order every time; it's an acquired taste. It was sweet but with a mild bitterness at the end. -Daal Matka 10/10; this is one of my favorites. -Chicken Tikka Masala 10/10; another favorite of mine. Ordered this a bit spicier than it already is. -Butter Chicken 10/10 no notes it was delicious -Garlic Naan very 10/10; very soft and flavorful. My husband ordered: -Goat Kabab White Karahi 8/10; first time having this; it was good and I would order again in the future. My parents ordered: -Chicken Briyani 10/10; very flavorful and chicken was very tasty and tender. -Plain Basmati Rice 10/10; for white rice, it was good, wasn't overcooked or mushy. Cooked very well. -Aga's platter 9/10; has a variety of meats to try; all delicious. -BBQ Chicken Wings; 8/10 was good for an appetizer had great flavor and they were fall off the bone tender -Mint lemonade pitcher 10/10; this was the best lemonade I've ever had; it was very refreshing. My kiddo ordered: -Chicken Nuggets with Fries 10/10; he ate all his food with no complaints. -Mango Lassi 10/10; very delicious, I would order this every time -Pistachio Kulfi 10/10; had never had this before and I would definitely order it again in the future. Very creamy; not too sweet but you can taste the pistachio which I loved. Btw these are all his ratings and I have to say I agree with them. The food came out very quickly I'd say within 15-20mins for all the food. Taher (another server) saw I was taking pictures of each dish and asked if he could take our picture and pictures of all the food on the table. That helped us out a lot and he honestly didn't have to. Once the food was placed on the table we dug in and everything was absolutely delicious. A little while into our meal a gentleman who looked like a manager or upper management (unfortunately I didn't get his name) stopped by and asked us how we were doing and how we were enjoying our meal and how we heard about Aga's. He mentioned one of our dishes on the table was what they were known for and told us he appreciated us dining with them tonight. We continued to eat and after a while we were all pretty full and decided it was time for dessert. We asked Taher for to go boxes which he promptly brought us and we packaged up our left overs. Saman came back and helped us decide what to pick for dessert and my son decided on (the white blocks) or the Pistachio Kulfi. Our entire experience from beginning to end at Aga's was perfect. You are greeted by everyone once you walk in and everyone you pass on your way out the building thanks you for dining with them. We honestly weren't there that long the service was so quick it's like a well oiled machine. The vibe is nice in the restaurant it obviously will get louder as more people come in but you are still able to enjoy the conversation at your own table without having to be too loud. I will most definitely be back in the future to enjoy some more delicious dishes.

The reception area was small and almost claustrophobic, but very ornate. There were a few chairs for you to wait. We didn't wait long, probably less than a minute. As the hostess lead us into the main dinning area, I was shocked on how big the place was (it reminding me of the big meat market restaurants in NYC). The first room was bright from the outside sunlight, almost like an outside cafe. Our table was in a different area, where it was a little darker and decorated a lot differently from the previous room. As I looked around, there were other sections at this restaurant that kind of represented different places. The section we sat in had a very long table...which I'm guessing can host a very big family or corporate party. It sat right next to the open kitchen. Our waitress, Yaretzy, was very nice. She explained how the owners traveled to the different states of India and want to share that experience at Musaafer. Yaretzy would provide an explanation for each dish. Some of them were mixed/put together table side. Everything was delicious, and not too spicy. Musaafer is fine dining, so it's not something we can do ever weekend. But we will be back. Getting here was a little tricky if you are not familiar with the area. The restaurant is located in the Galleria. The entrance to Musaafer is on the first floor inside the mall, down the hallway closest to Saks Fifth Ave on the right (if facing Saks). You will need to take the private elevator to the second floor or walk up the stairs. There is valet parking if you prefer to do that. I think there is a small parking lot in front of the restaurant that might be free, but we went into the underground Purple garage. If you park right after going down the ramp into the Purple garage, you will see an elevator into Saks Fifth Ave, which you take up and walk outside with a short walk to Musaafer. The only problem with what we did was when Saks closes, we couldn't take that elevator back down. There were stairs back down to the purple garage, but it stank! There had to be another elevator that will take you into the mall.
