First time trying Dave's hot chicken. I went with the "Hot" and glad I didn't go xtra hot because it was spicy !!! Food took a while but that just means it was made hot and fresh. Not a fan of the Dave's sauce that comes with everything. I think it's just a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise. They really need to offer some other sauces. I did ask for ranch and was charged for it like $1.50 even tho it didn't list it on the menu. I would go back again the food was really good. read more

My son was turning 22 and chose Dave's for his birthday dinner. We all enjoyed the sliders or strips, and I love that you can choose the spice levels. Our group ranges from mild to hot, so it's nice to have that option. The crunchy pickles are really delicious, and the coleslaw pairs perfectly with the crunchy chicken. The service was excellent, and since the food is made to order, there's a little wait, but it's totally worth it! read more

I have gone to Dave's many times for lunch because they deliver fresh, hot food in a timely manner, but yesterday, for dinner, the opposite happened. But my first hint should have been when there were two people at expo dealing with a problem while we were waiting at the counter for over 5 minutes with not a "I'll be right with you" insight. The work force seemed very young, the youngest crew I've seen working all together at this location. We waited over 45 minutes for two sliders and fries, but within our 45 minute wait time inside the restaurant just ONE name was called to pick up their order. There was three to four orders a head of us. Ultimately the restaurant wasn't busy enough for a 45 minute wait. Not when I've been there with so many more people and less of a wait. After my experience in the restaurant industry, it was giving negligence on the kitchens side. Not prepping efficiently, not caring about wait times, not setting the kitchen up for success for a potential "rush". Because by the time our 45 minute wait was coming to an end, there were probably 10 parties waiting for food while another 3 were turned away at the door being quoted an hours wait for food. Then when we FINALLY got our food, the slider was LUKE WARM and the fries were OLD AND COLD. At this point, given the view of crew working, I wasn't even going to try to complain and honestly, I wasn't going to wait for them to right their wrong. After 45 minutes, they had more than enough time to supply hot food. What were they doing all this time??? I'm shocked. I don't know if the lunch crew is more prepared or if something happened during dinner shift that made this experience so bad but I'll definitely be reconsidering my choices if I'm ever in the mood for fried chicken again around dinner time. Especially with so much competition in the valley ranch area, I am shocked they would allow such bad experiences to happen without an apology because it wasn't just my wait time, it was the wait time of us and 5 other parties. 8 parties, if you consider the 3 turned away. read more

This was my first time trying this and I've always wanted to try so when I was test driving a Tesla model Y I decided to try it since it was nearby. I ordered I think mild cause I thought it was gonna be super spicy and it was crispy, but it didn't really have much flavor. The fries were OK. The ranch wasn't as good as Wingstop. Also the staff here was not as organized as I would like for them to be. It took about 30 minutes for the chicken to come out and for it not to be that tasty. I was a little disappointed. The next day I ordered from another retailer and it was delicious as always it's called urban hot chicken I believe. read more

I went around 850pm. Waited 10 minutes just to order, and then when it was finally my turn, I was told it would be another 25 minutes to receive my food. At that point, I just walked out. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but 25 minutes after ordering for what is supposed to be a quick-service meal is ridiculous. Is this a restaurant or a fast-food place? Because if I'm waiting that long, I expect a completely different experience. Unfortunately, the wait completely ruined the experience for me. Pssst... 25 minutes? Yeah, no. read more

Great food, awesome service and clean environment ! Staff was super helpful, easy ordering process and food came out hot and fast.

$14 for TWO sweetish tenders that I expected to be hot and a handful of fries that weren't even cooked fully. You gotta be kidding. Ended up paying almost $20 for a full meal because of course a drink isnt included in your $14 combo of 2 tenders and fries lol. read more

Second time here and it's pretty good! My kids and I enjoy the no spice slider and tenders! It's like Cane but with flavor and spice. I add honey to my slider with extra pickles. Location is pretty new and clean. The service is pretty nice too, Elijah was behind the counter and was super helpful read more

They didn't hear my order and I was talking loud and they forgot my food, it is my first time coming here !!!

I order the 2 sliders with fire with the spices Hot and Extra Hot. This was very filling am I know I like to eat a lot. The service was really well I ordered 6 meals and the food came out within ten minutes. The inside is also very decorative with many poppy colors and modern. +Restroom we're clean read more

This chicken is solid. We tried the three lowest levels of spice, because, yea well, I'm a chicken. They were all good. The sliders were delicious, as were the smaller bites and the strips. The fries and cheese fries were great. I like the pickles included with the meal. The vanilla shake was spot on. read more

Besides the AMAZING friendly service, this place knows how to do HOT Chirken!!! YUM-O!! These kids are awesome and are so welcoming and quick to serve up your order. It is always fresh and HOT and the most crispy chirken and fries!! I do wish the side mac n cheese was a larger size for what you pay but otherwise have no complaints. And really, is that a complaint or wishful thinking? Lol Thanks y'all. See you next date night! read more

They tried to make it up wit a slushy which is cool but na that was un called for a simple "yo we don't got cheese ready you want to cancel this" would've sufficed but no communication and had me waiting there? People in line left waiting for me. I had people honking at me thinking I probably ordered the whole freaking menu. read more

Nice, clean restaurant. Yocelyn had great customer service, and helped us out with the menu. Food was pretty good. Not the best hot chicken I've had, but it was good. I got the Dave's single, Extra Hot, and I didn't think it was that hot, will try the Reaper next time. Got the Dave's Bites for my kids and it was enough for them to share, about 10 bites, and they enjoyed them! read more

Presentation was good. Mac and cheese was watery cheesy. Chicken overall was tasty but dry. And the milkshake was 10/10 my favorite thing. The pickles were also very very good. Price was a little steep. $38 for 2 meals and a side with 2 drinks. Service was okay. The girl in the front didn't seem to have patience and we were the only people there. read more

Customer service was terrible. The food is awesome, but when I went to ask about my order--which took 45 minutes for just one plate of two pieces of chicken and fries--one employee laughed at me for asking why it was taking so long. Instead of saying something like, "It's about to come out, we'll take care of you," I was met with laughter in front of the manager. The ready makes it bad service to me even if the food is good. read more

Wish this place had more dipping sauce options. The heat from the chicken is a bit dry. Kinda like a dry rub with a lot of butter. Dipping sauce is a thick mayo base that leaves you wanting something creamier. Cheese fries were really good. The service was fast and friendly. The art is cool and the place is clean with plenty of space. They do not have fresh brewed iced tea. That is another knock for me. It is not hard to brew fresh tea! My hubby and kids enjoy this place and they will continue to support. As for me, I can live without this one. Sorry read more

My first time experiencing Dave's Hot Chicken wasn't that bad...the place was really clean and very well organized...the service was ok...but only because it appeared that all the employees were teenagers...and they were more interested in talking to each other...but I was young once so I understand...but let's talk about the chicken...I think I got a #2...which is a slider and a chicken strip...I got it at medium heat...which was more than enough for me...the flavor of the coating was good...but the actual chicken was lacking in that department...but it was juicy...I often drive by this location...and the only reason I stopped was because of the commercial...so good job on getting me in...all in all...I will be back...good job read more

Dave's hot chicken in new Caney texas always has phenomenal service and the food is amazing.

Very engaged team. Which I appreciate these days where most places you go the apathetic behavior runs rampant. I ordered medium hot and it was good. Brought out allergen chart (nice to see) but couldn't tell me if MSG was in chicken or condiments. But they cared. Chicken was good. I was just nervous about ingredients. Mac & Cheese was good. Do the bread thing like Tumble 22 which doesn't use msg read more

Had a #1 meal. Single tender with Extra hot. They said I had to sign a waiver for reaper, so I skipped it. It was pretty tasty. It was hot but also had good flavor. Fries were good and crispy, just the way I like them. I got it to go and I think they forgot the Dave's sauce, so.... There's that. I think it was good, for the occasional stop in. Service was good. The young girl could not wait to talk to her brother in the parking lot though. I guess I was taking to long for a first timer. Also a signed said check in for free milkshake, I am still waiting for that. 4 stars. read more
