I pulled up to the drive through and spent a good 3-5 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge me and take my order, then spent over 40 minutes inside waiting for a chicken sandwich to go. I asked for a refund 25 minutes in so I could leave, & not 1 employee would come help with the transaction. The employees were inside the kitchen drinking sodas and no one was at the counter, so we had to raise our voices to get attention, and even then, were completely ignored. There were two other customers in the same boat and none of us got our food in the end. We left with nothing but bad service and a refund. I placed an order for two kids meals, a 5 and 5 meal and buffalo Tender Mac. By the time my family and I arrived home and unpacked the food, I realized that I was missing one of the kids meals. I called the restaurant at 7:46pm to advise them of their error and to let them know that I was coming back to get the kids meal. When I arrived, there were a couple of cars in the drive thru. I pulled up to the speaker and advised them of who I was and asked if I had to wait in line again or if I could pull up and someone could bring the food out to me. The drive thru cashier was quite rude in the tone of her response advising me to either wait in line or come inside and get the food. I was already frustrated bc one of my kids was at home missing their meal due to the mistake of Slim Chickens employee and I had on my bedroom slippers versus the sneakers I had on earlier. I walked inside to get the food. The guy at the registered got the box and proceeded to hand me the box without a bag. I asked for a bag. He then placed the box in the bag and sat the bag on the counter not in my hand which I was holding out. There was no empathy or remorse for their error. It felt like they were annoyed that I came back for my order which further frustrated me. Not one single apology. That's standard customer service and this experience was the absolute worst. By the time I got back home, my food was cold and my daughter was annoyed for having to wait on her food. I understand that mistakes happen but what really frustrated me about this entire experience was the attitude of the employees and lack of empathy and accountability for THEIR mistake. read more

I'm not an expert on chicken but there chicken tenders are delicious! Very juicy and flavorful. Also I usually don't go for fries because fries are fries lol. But these are well seasoned and have a perfect crisp to it that I couldn't help myself to my husbands fries lol, sorry hubby. Potato salad was ok, a little to much vinegar to my taste. But glad the menu offers other side options other than just fries. Mac and cheese was pretty good and Toast was ok, could be more toasted but still good. Waffle Wednesday! Very nice decor, great patio, and relaxing at 3:30 pm. Might be loud on weekends. The Texas shaped waffle was fresh , delicious, and hot. The chicken tenders were not the crunchy kind I like though; too dense and a bit dry inside. To be fair, I'm not a chicken tender fan, but waffles? Oh yes! Together, they were good, though. Good tea, lemonade and soft drinks available. This restaurant is clean, and though the young man who waited on me at the counter was unsmiling and not at all welcoming, the sweet lady who brought my food out when it was ready, was a helpful joy! We found ourselves in the Kingwood area and we were starving! The s.o suggested we stop here because he loves the one in Katy. All in all, I like it! The first thing that stood out to me was the price. This place is a bit more than your typical fast food place but the food and service makes up for it. The tenders are juicier and bigger than Raising Cane's, which I've never been a fan of, don't @ me. The fries were crispy and fresh and their garlic toast, which could've been a bit toastier, was still delicious!! We dined in around noon but it wasn't that busy. We placed our order and our food came out in like 5 minutes. Extremely fast service! We enjoyed the music that they were playing as well, a nice mix of blues and classic rock. Very nice! If they make a location closer to my hood, I will definitely stop in again. Even if it's just to taste their strawberry cheesecake "jar dessert." Win win! read more

I had two separate orders and the lady who took our order and handled us at the window within 2 min forgot we had two orders she shut the door on me and I had to say "uh I need my second order". I have to say, I'm not a huge fan. Basically it comes down to this, the chicken and fries aren't as good as Chik-Fil-A and it's a lot more expensive. On the positive side , they do have a wide variety of sauces but I opted for the hottest one available, as I normally do and I thought it was a little bit timid. This is our go to spot on sundays after church. Kids eat free and the meal is always quick and delicious. I order the chicks plate with the cayenne ranch which is ammmazing. If there was a negative it would be the fries more often then not are a bit too salty. The flavor is good and I still stuff my face with them but a lighter hand would be perfect. Now the last time I ate here it was phenomenal, and I loved that they a Sunday special where kids ate for free. Now that was almost two years ago, and the other day I stopped by, was very disappointed on what I received. I've only ordered the wings, and the strips for my children. Well I should've stuck to what I knew instead of ordering something new. I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. There was so much wrap, and lettuce that the one small chicken strip they gave me was drowning.
