First time dining here and overall we enjoyed it. Wife and I met a friend for lunch and each got the small size salad which is actually quite large. We found the staff to be attentive and they did an overall great job of adding things to our salad bowl we asked for, even adding some more of an ingredient if it was something we really liked. My wife pretty much got a straight up vegetable salad with a big mix of ingredients. I opted for a more "healthy" one with the addition of kale and spinach, garbanzo beans, feta and at the end I paid the upcharge for half an avocado and a salmon fillet. We were quite satisfied, I kind of felt my salmon was a little overcooked and dry but they probably do that so it keep well and appeals to a larger group of customers as rare cooked fish is not always desired. While there, I used the restrooms which were clean and shiny. Overall we felt the entire restaurant was spotless and kept very clean. The only thing I would fault them on is that the surfaces of their tables show a lot of wear, probably from the metal bowls the salads are served in. They really need to upgrade all the tables with new ones in my opinion. For that and the dry salmon I give them 4 stars out of 5! read more

This is my favorite Salata in the northeast county! There is always plenty of staff on hand to help customers, and they keep the restaurant very clean! I am not a huge fan of the COVID protocols, as they stopped giving out trays, so you have to carry everything in your hands to the table. Overall Salata as a company needs to work on the app, which takes forever to update and I never know my points total. Also, the Salata Mix has too much of the white spines of lettuce that I always pick out. Other than these corporate issues, the Kingwood Salata is my favorite lunch place in Kingwood! read more

After persistent attempts, I finally spoke with manager , I placed an order at your [location] where a young team member, unfortunately, made a critical mistake by including nuts in my salad, despite my explicit mention of a severe nut allergy. Subsequently, I immediately contacted Salata to address the issue but received no response initially. After persistent attempts, I finally spoke with a manager (Tanilla) who, rather shockingly, insinuated that she had encountered similar situations before involving this same issue. When I challenged her on this, she retracted her statement. While she eventually agreed to a remake of the order, she imposed the condition of providing a receipt. Unfortunately, I had discarded the receipt, and when I explained this over the phone, Salata denied my request, refusing to check the pending charge on my bank statement or review the orders from that day. This lack of responsiveness and reluctance to investigate the matter raises serious concerns about Salata's commitment to customer safety and satisfaction. In a situation where a simple mistake could have jeopardized my life due to a severe allergic reaction, the dismissive attitude displayed by their staff is utterly unacceptable. read more

I'm a huge fan of this place. The staff are super sweet and the place is spotless every time. My wife and I go weekly because of the two for one coupon we get from our HEB receipt. I've been to Salata several times since it opened (and reopened after Hurricane Harvey). I like having a fresh, salad option in the neighborhood. However, sometimes their greens and veggies aren't fresh, as was the case when I went today. The Salata Mix contained a lot of wilted and brown lettuce pieces. The cucumbers were slimy. They were "out" of mushrooms, which I don't know if that means for the entire day at just noon or if someone just didn't want to refill the container. Several of the workers had a hard time understanding what people in line were asking for until they pointed at the item. Lastly, the tables weren't cleaned and the trash was overflowing when I went to empty my bowl. If this had been my first visit, I would not go back. I'm hoping it was just an off day, or I may have to start looking for another go-to salad place. The whole experience was lackluster and definitely not worth $12 for a subpar salad. read more

As far as I could tell, it's unlimited toppings with extra $ for protein. Ingredients seem really fresh. I did find some toppings and especially the proteins too chunky. It's a good salad bar with many choices. However it is a bit pricey. Also you don't have the option of preparing your own salad. You have to tell the servers what you want so you miss that sort of freedom to explore with different options and to change your mind. However if you're looking for a nice salad bar then you can't go wrong; however I think there are cheaper options available in the area read more

The veggies are certainly fresh. Nice selection. Sometimes a language barrier. The salads are expensive without adding proteins, but becomes cost prohibitive when you do. Quickly reaching $16.00 or more by adding turkey or seafood mix. With soup and/or drink you are looking at a $20.00 lunch. Now looking at my other reviews and check ins you will note that this has nothing to do with being cheap, but we are talking about a salad. I don't believe that the current pricing is sustainable. Poor Customer Service! So...I am a Salata aficionado. I have been to multiple locations and love them all. This location is horrible and I will not be back! I found myself in Kingwood for a medical appointment and decided to stop by. I work for Law Enforcement on the night shift. Because everything is closed when I report to work at 10 pm, I often order food ahead and take it to work with me for my dinner (which is usually about 1 am). I went to Salata and ordered my staple, a small salad to go. Here is where the problems started. I started asking for the toppings I wanted, one was cilantro. The male server helping me, literally put 3 little leaves of cilantro on it. I asked if I could have some more. He told me that he would have to charge extra WTF? When I got to the fruit, I asked if he could please put grapes, mandarin oranges and green apples on the side (So my salad would not be soggy from the fruit when I ate it 6+ hours later). He told me that he could not put any items on the side otherwise he would have to charge me extra for them. I was in disbelief. I told him not ONE other Salata has ever had a problem doing that. He said it was a new policy from their general manager, Daniela. I explained to him that I was not eating this for several hours and did not want a soggy salad. He said he understood, but it was policy. I had them finish my salad and when it got to where they mix your salad and box it, I told them not to mix it, and hand me the bowl so that I could pick the fruit off, and put it to the side myself. They then acted unsure if they could do that. The manager on duty then asked if I would like her to pick off the fruit and put it on the side. W....T...F???? I said sure, thank you, I appreciate that, but that makes entirely NO SENSE! Wouldn't it have just been easier to do that from the beginning? She agreed, but said again that it was policy and they would get in trouble for putting items except for dressing on the side. I could understand if someone was eating there and asking for items to be put on the side, but why not accommodate a customer who ordered it to go? The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and if I did not know how awesome all the other Salata's are, I would steer clear from them altogether. Since my experience here, I have been to the one in Cypress and the one in Spring a couple of times, and ordered the exact way I ordered here with absolutely no issue. Cypress always accommodates my requests and the Spring location does so as well, with the caveat that the limit for items on the side is 5 (Understandable). I do not recommend this location in the least as it seems they do not desire to accommodate guests of their establishment. read more

WOW! Simply just wow! This was actually phenomenal food! Today was my first time ever trying it and I have to say my socks are rocked! Fatima was so fantastic and made us feel very welcome! She actually gave us the chance to try certain items before adding them as this was a different...but very awesome process. I found this restaurant to be excellent. The amount of salad was far more than adequate. There were numerous toppings to select from after your lettuce choice was made. You could then choose to add a protein, which l did, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. The tables were roomy and clean and it was a very enjoyable dining experience. read more

What i find is amazing, is my past review was erased. I will give a brief rundown: Around May 29th, 2019. I bought a $8 salad. I had several veggies added, and Claudia was making the salad. She became somewhat short each time I asked for another type added. In the end, she was obviously upset, telling me, and the cashier, that I am only allowed 4 veggies, and after that, $1 would be added. I questioned where it was written down, and she said it was a company policy. I asked her to show me, anywhere in the store, or on the website. She said it "Just Is a Policy", angrily. She then said she wouldnt charge me "This Time". I was pissed off. New, update: Fewer and fewer customers. I dont see how they stay in business. read more

First time here. Everything had a bland flavor. I tried a variety of toppings on my salad and they all meshed into one flavor. Not what I was expecting. Staff is not very informative nor do they give suggestions. All the protein they offer is cold. The cokes and the sprites not cold enough. They have tea that I did not try. I did not try the soup either. Bread was chewy and tough. Pita chips were overcooked but where ok in flavor. My suggestion. Get ready to add salt and pepper. Go for the small. My impression is that you will get served the same portion sizes like the small so save the dough for the $4 1/2 cup of protein. read more
