Whenever I want a quick and inexpensive breakfast/brunch, I take my friends to First Watch. It has a convenient location (down the street from my apartment) with plenty of parking. They have an extensive list of breakfast and lunch options, even have a section for the "healthier" breakfast selections. I'm a fan of the fruit crepes or the turkey and avocado eggs benedict. My friends have enjoyed their omelet options and their long sandwich list. The food always comes out very quickly and the service is fantastic. I love that they leave a pitcher of water on my table (since I drink way too much H2O). If you order coffee, they will also leave a carafe on your table so you can fill up to your heart's delight. The price is fairly typical for a breakfast joint and less than you'd spend at a one-off downtown. Note - It gets ridiculously busy on the weekends, make sure to get there at a decent hour (before eleven) if you want to be seated before the church crowd. Their waiting area is tiny, so you may be stuck waiting outside for a while. read more

Really wanted to love this place. We were visiting the area and looking for breakfast on the way to the Zoo. Reviews sounded good. Place looked good. Menu looked great though of course mostly grass seeds and sugar. Blechh. Our server was super friendly. However, the actual product being delivered - for whole food at least - was really phoned in. I got some kind of omelet and it was the crappy flat cold eggs folded over a very limited amount of fillings. Supposedly some Mexican something but really quite tasteless. The side salad was also skimpy and nothing much. Our service, despite the extended glad handing, was actually not great with inattention and slow response. This doesn't do it for me. Seems to be another cookie cutter place relying on a "bohemian" set-up, wood, bare filament bulbs, hip waitstaff and a great sounding menu but when the rubber meets the road - nope. If you're into the grass seeds and "smoothies" read those reviews and perhaps you'll be pleased with your experience. No thanks. We had much better breakfasts in Columbus at mom/pop type places. read more

First Watch Restaurant is reliable as an old pair of shoes. Really! The eatery in Dublin off Avery-Muirfield doesn't get my business all that often but there are mornings when I wake up uber-early. On those days, a quick drive to my office usually means a stop at FWR. What I like is the healthy offerings (in a great menu of food-group concoctions). My favorite is the Power Wrap which is egg whites, swiss cheese and spinach in a tomato soft tortilla including salsa. Served with a cup of fruit (and add a cup of decaf coffee) and I am motoring as the day begins. The Dublin location is always bustling with a wide variety of business persons and hard working stiffs. Isn't a morning munch also about the company we keep? I enjoy reading the Columbus Dispatch, noshing on the wrap and oggling the folks coming in and out of FWR. Oh! I failed to mention the one key ingredient to FWR dining at breakfast time: Pot O' Coffee. Yes, you're left with a pot of coffee on the table to keep the homefires burning (aka - freshen the cup). You rarely see this anywhere and its a great touch. I would have 5-star'd FWR but its not diner-priced. If it were I might give the place 5.5 stars. But the place is clean, the wait staff efficient and friendly, there's usually a free paper laying around and the food seems to arrive hot, fresh and on a quick pace. Came here for brunch with the family. Great breakfast spot with large portions of hearty American food. I had the Breakfast Scramble, which consisted of scrambled eggs over toast with cheddar cheese and hollandaise sauce, served with breakfast potatoes and a small cup of fruit. Portion was just right for me - cleaned the plate. Food was OK - not bad, not that memorable. Breakfast potatoes were meh, and the hollandaise sauce tasted slightly off, but the toast and eggs were great. Had coffee, and they bring you a couple of pots to get you fully juiced up. Everyone seemed pretty happy when we left, and the bill was around $80 for six people. Waitstaff was very friendly and appreciated. They saw we were debating over the fresh squeezed juices and brought us samples of all three options. Went over and above, even in a busy shift. read more

I went here for brunch on a Sunday, right around noon. The wait was 20-30 minutes which wasn't too bad considering the place was packed. We had to stand outside the doors because there was no place to sit/stand inside. Once we were in and seated, the service was very quick. A coffee carafe appeared about a minute after we ordered it. I ordered the bacon and cheddar pancakes, my date got a usual bacon, eggs, and pancake deal. I loved the bacon and cheddar pancakes. The bacon was crispy and the pancake was fluffy, slightly dense without being heavy. Now, because this place is pretty busy pretty much all the time... you do feel like you have to eat quick and get out. This is not the place to linger over a post-meal cup of coffee. Overall, a good place for brunch with some interesting twists on the usual fare. read more

Great food and service here- almost any complaint I have had can be chalked up to my picky and hyperactive vigilance. Healthy and delicious breakfasts are a great way to start the day, and it isn't easy to find a place that serves a combination of the two. Me and my loved one are rather large people, but we were never treated with disrespect by staff for eating more than a standard portion or taking up extra space. (Yes, sizeism is an actual thing.) That is extremely classy to me- and I will be going back again and again to enjoy this place in the future. But guys... bring back the breakfast tacos!! You had them that one time that I remember... (not very specific, I realize) and they were great. A couple of times, the orange juice tasted a little strange. Some potatoes got burned a couple times. No big deal, really. I'm a huge breakfast fan, so this place was a great choice while visiting Dublin with my boyfriend. Since it's his dad's favorite breakfast place after golfing with friends, we decided to check it out before heading to the Memorial Tournament. They sat us quickly and came right over to ask our drink orders and let us peruse the menu. Their house coffee came out piping hot and brewed fresh. Thankfully food was served quickly. In addition to basic breakfast items (all decent sized portions), I chose the Market Hash (a skillet with eggs, potatoes, veggies and two types of cheese). It was delicious! Their special was a cinnamon roll pancake, and though we didn't try it, the table next to us said it was a great sweet choice as well. It was also nice to have a section of their menu dedicated to healthy eats for people looking for those options. People commented it can be more expensive that other breakfast places, but the quality of food definitely stands out as well. I'll definitely keep it in mind next time we visit! read more

This place could be so much better than our experience was today. The good : they offer sugar in the raw at the table, ketchup without high fructose corn syrup, lots of amazing fresh healthy menu options, hot fresh coffee, and a cozy comfortable atmosphere. The bad: service was very poor. Our server could not have cared less about her job and it was obvious. We were rushed when we sat with no introduction, just a, "do you guys want coffee??" We were almost done with our meals before she even came back. Our bacon was cold and we were going to add a pumpkin pancake but didn't want to inconvenience our server by needing something. Coffee tastes like a light roast but it is refillable for around $2.29 or so. a little more expensive than other places but they stick a carafe in front of you. I would prefer a stronger dark or bold roast coffee. The food is pretty good with your basic omelettes and breakfast foods. I ordered the Bacon, Avocado, Omelette which was good but not 5 stars. The hash browns were a little small in quantity but had a nice crunch. My table mates ordered the Greek Omelette, which was decent. I think all of us wouldn't go crazy about the food but it filled our bellies and their was always enough coffee for close to two hours. The service was quick and very efficient. The server was good and patient with us. We showed up at 7 AM on a Saturday for our first book club meeting in their community room. We reserved a table for 10 and only 4 showed up. The waitress was polite and worked with us on our over zealousness for our first book club. I guess some people can't wake up at 6:30 for coffee, good conversation about a book written 1700 years ago, and decent food. No charge for the community room and helathy choices will keep this as an option for later book club meets if we ever grow to where we need the community room. Mediocre at best. Service was swift but lacked any sort of finesse. When we asked the hostess if we could sit by the window instead of the door she was clearly annoyed and begrudgingly walked us to the table and dumped the menus. "Great" impression first few minutes of walking in the door. Food was about on the level of Denny's- French toast was served cold, over medium eggs were completely runny, "cream" for coffee were little single serve canisters on the table. The hostess dropped the check on the table when we were only half way through the meal which was awkward. The prices were fine but the meal was regrettable. About the only two good points of the meal was the the fruit cup wasn't full of cantaloupe and there was cholula on the table. read more

Sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes... only to sit inside and wait another 45 minutes. Waited an hour and a half and still no food. That's with their "reservation" system. The food is quality and it has been a frequent location we've enjoyed. When a waitlist app was added a few years ago, our dining at the establishment increased. While the food is good and service is exceptional, I never felt the food was worth the lengthy wait. The app solved the problem for us and we have exclusively used the app waitlist, arrived before the app quoted wait time expired and checked in. That has recently changed. The app will quote an expected wait time, upon arrival the quoted wait time will now start the countdown. This wasn't the case previously and renders the app waitlist completely purposeless. I now have concerns about the intent of the app, the sale of our personal data and how First Watch could be benefiting. Not worth the wait without the app. Go to Tucci's in Old Dublin for their brunch. It will cost about the same and the food is far superior. Through Open Table, we had a 10 minute wait for a reservation. First Watch was two 30-minute waits. read more

Come here all the time. Love the healthy food, love the servers, and we're always happy when we leave. The only downsides are the small building/room - they're always SO busy, it's a super long wait, esp on weekends. Sometimes the hosts aren't the most friendly. Worst First Watch location that I've ever been to. That's coming from someone who used to go to the Hilliard First Watch once a week for two years before moving to Dublin 6 months ago. Terribly unorganized and does not use its No Wait app consistently with how it is used at any other location in the Columbus area. we went here for breakfast on a nice saturday morning. The place was heavily crowded which shows how good the place is! After a reasonable 10 minute wait, we were seated to our tables.
