    Chimichurri Steak & Eggs Hash
    Olivia B.

This was my first time trying First Watch and I definitely will be coming back! My friend and I both ordered the Chimichurri Steak and Eggs Hash and my friend ordered the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread. The hash was delicious and the portion size was more than enough. I tasted the blueberry lemon cornbread, it was soft, not too sweet and the lemon butter on top added a nice touch! We were seated as soon as we came in and the service was nice and swift. The ambiance was very warm and inviting.

I used to go to First Watch a lot in the past but now as I gotten older I realized that it is just alright! There is nothing wrong with the food per say but it does not really stand out to me. I ordered the Bacado Omelet. It comes with mixed greens of seasoned potatoes. I opted for the seasoned potatoes which were well seasoned and very filling. It came with a good amount and I was not able to finish it all. The omelet had bacon, avocado, and cheese. It was topped with sour cream and had a side of tomatoes. The omelet was fine but again nothing great. I wish the ingredients were more combined because it was not too cohesive. I had to spread the sour cream and scoop some tomato with each bite. Otherwise, it was fine. Service was good and average, no complaints. The inside was nicely lit with noise level was minimal (on a weekday) so it was a relaxing lunch.

First Watch is starting to feel like the GAR of brunches-- service and food are consistently good. My favorite things to get are chickichanga (eggs, cheese, chorizo, chicken rolled in a flour tortilla with some kind of delicious sauce) and lemon ricotta pancakes. I really wanted to try their limited time prosciutto Parmesan toast, but they crossed it out on the menu. I tried my friend's Bloody Mary with million dollar bacon- both delicious. Bacon was sweet and savory (cooked with brown sugar and maple syrup). I wish the bacon was thicker but all good. I left full bellied, happy, and face flush with glow. They have Cholula and ketchup on every table. They have Tabasco, you just have to ask for it.

market veggie sandwich and broccoli cheese soup

I had a mid-morning (10:30am) meal on a weekday here. The dining room was about 3/4 full and we were greeted and seated right away. The ambiance is nice and lively and a step up from the larger breakfast chains in the area. Our server was nice and attentive. I ordered the carne asada hash (seasonal menu) and my dining partner ordered from the Two For You menu, selecting half a market veggie sandwich and a cup of cheese and broccoli soup. We also shared a pot of their coffee. The hash was excellent. I opted to have the included two eggs scrambled. It was a very good portion and even though I used up the two corn tortillas making mini tacos while still having a lot of the dish remaining to get through, those tortillas were enough. They had Cholula original hot sauce on the table which added a nice zing to the dish. The broccoli cheese soup was pretty good. It was thickened a bit too much for my dining partner as she likes a runnier soup. The market veggie sandwich was great. The sauteed vegetables and pesto sauce came in between two well-buttered toasted pieces of bread. The regular coffee was pretty good and I had to full cups. Our waiter presented the pot of coffee to us when he first came to our table. Of course, I could have declined it, but I did want coffee regardless. However, the price of the pot (free refills) was not listed on the menu and I was surprised to see it on the receipt at $3.99/person. Maybe that's normal for all you can drink coffee at breakfast places, but it would have been nice to see it indicated on the menu before it being brought to our table by the waiter. Overall, this is a breakfast (or lunch) place I'd come to again, and especially before going to any of the other larger breakfast chain restaurants.

    Lemon ricotta pancakes

Update: Husband insisted on calling and getting my order correct. After speaking with the manager, I made another trip to pick up my pancakes. As annoyed as I am, these pancakes are delicious. Been ordering the lemon ricotta pancakes for years. But the last few times, I've very disappointed with their to go service. They are always forgetting something. Today, I received a pancake without the lemon curd and fruits it usually comes with. I don't even taste the ricotta. This pancake is very dry. I may need to reconsider going to this location.

Good food, but long wait for food and overcharged our bill. Made up for it with coupons but online payment just makes it complicated

Just want to start off by thanking out server for being super welcoming and kind. He was great at double checking out order, smiling, and speaking in a kind tone. The inside of the place is very comfortable and cozy. I enjoy eating at this locations with the spacious, open, and bright environment. Food was delicious! I surprisingly enjoyed the Smoked Salmon and Frittata dish. I would rate it an 8.5/10. I did not get tired of it and the portion felt just right. Drinks Mint choco latte 8/10 Dragonfruit drink 8/10 Meditation 7/10 Overall great experience as always. Every-time I leave satisfied!

Large restaurant and was excited to see a location opened nearby so I can try it out! Overall the food was good but didn't feel like it was worth the price Cinnamon toast cereal milk - 3.5/5 barely taste alcohol, sweet (maybe slightly too sweet) and really taste like cinnamon cereal milk! Mimosa - 2.5/5 standard, always decent Million dollar breakfast sandwich - 3.75/5 very good! Like an upgraded version of breakfast sandwich and egg was cooked perfectly! I'm not crazy for bacon but their bacon is better than average for sure Honey bacon brussel hash - 2/5 I feel like some pieces of brussel and hash could've been cooked longer. Overall flavor is good but not enough bacon or some other type of flavor to balance it out. Bland

recently visited this brunch spot on a Sunday and made a reservation in advance, anticipating a wait. Thankfully, we were seated within 10 minutes of checking in, which was a great start to our experience. We started with the summer drinks--Morning Meditation fresh juice and Purple Haze. Both drinks were refreshing and had a deep, satisfying flavor. For the main course, we ordered the traditional breakfast with chicken patties, Chickichanga, and cheesy grits. Every dish was delicious and well-prepared, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and the skill in the kitchen. However, I was disappointed to find that my water glass had visible stains. While it may seem like a small detail, it did take away from the otherwise pleasant dining experience. Overall, the food and drinks were fantastic, but attention to detail in the cleanliness of tableware could be improved.

The service was so bad. Only got checked on three times- which to take our order, give us food, and give us water. Not even to give us the check. They also brought water after our meal. The chicken pesto quinoa bowl was really good, honestly carried the experience. Monterey club was okay. Clean restaurant was a plus.

I'm a fan of The First Watch locations I've previously visited - so when I discovered a First Watch in the Greenbriar/Chantilly area - I knew I was due for a visit. I was seated promptly. After looking over the menu - I opted for the Farmhouse Skillet Hash - which comes with seasoned, roasted potatoes, two cage free eggs, bacon, avocado, house-roasted onions tomatoes, and cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese. I also ordered a side of bacon (4 strips), and coffee and water. The food came out in about 10 minutes - even thought the place was very busy. The skillet hash was DELISH! And the bacon was succulent! Yummm!!! Service was very good. Paid at the register with Apple Pay. #FirstWatch

Honestly, impressed at our waiter!!! The kitchen was extremely backed up, our food didn't come out for an hour. However the waiter mad everything worth while. He was so kind and attentive. He brought out free beverages on the house and gave us a free muffin while we waited. He truly went above and beyond with taking care of us. He would check in on us and see if we needed anything periodically and give us updates. We order the: Fresh baked muffin of the day (complimentary due to waiting long) 9/10 Chorizo omelet 8/10 - cooked a little too hard Healthy Turkey 8/10 New mango and pineapple juice 10/10 Overall I appreciated the experience and I will definitely come back. We came at like 8:30 am and they were extremely busy

First off, this place is a Fairfax staple for a reason. The iconic pink building is impossible to miss, and the outdoor patio is perfect for a nice evening out, while the inside is cozy, welcoming, and always has a great energy. It's the kind of spot that works for everything: a casual weeknight dinner, a weekend brunch with friends, a game day watch party, or even a date night. Now for the food--chef's kiss all around. Everything we've tried here is consistently delicious: their shrimp appetizer is crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the cheese dip is creamy, cheesy, and addictive. Their burgers are juicy and cooked to perfection, the seafood dishes are fresh and well-prepared, and their salads are fresh and loaded with toppings. The portions are generous, the prices are totally fair, and every dish is made with high-quality ingredients. The service here is also next-level, just like the reviews say. Our servers (shoutout to Jun and Collin, who are absolute rockstars!) are friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great meal. It's in a newish shopping center, which, for us, had a bonus-- there is a Harris Teeter there. We needed to pick up some items, so we did before having dinner. We were here for an early dinner. Now that it's getting darker so early, we try to avoid driving after dark, when possible. Thus, we were here around 3 p.m. and were glad to see they were serving dinner at that time. To drink, I chose a mocktail called "What a lychee" which consists of "lychee, pineapple juice, club soda". It was garnished with a lychee. I did enjoy this drink. My husband had a non-alcoholic Stella Artois. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated immediately. Having looked at the menu before arriving, we each knew what we wanted. I chose to try the "Blackened Pan Seared Yellow Fin Tuna" which (supposedly) consists of: "Topped with jumbo lump crab meat, sundried tomatoes, shiitake mushrooms, creamy lemon sauce served with rice." My husband chose the "Shrimp platter," which (supposedly) consists of: "crispy beer battered shrimp, coleslaw and chipotle sauce served with hand cut French fries." It took a while for our food to come out. As I was eating, it dawned on me that there was no crab meat or sundried tomatoes. Also, the sauce sure was a creamy lemon sauce. It was more like a miso-flavored sauce. Hard to say if the menu got changed, but no new menus were printed up to fix it. Or was it that the young man who cooked the food wasn't familiar with the entrees? Still, despite the discrepancies, I did like this dish, although it would have been even better if they had prepared it correctly. My husband noticed that there was no Chipotle sauce on his dish. Instead, there were two small containers: one with ketchup and another with tartar sauce. He, too, thought that his shrimp was well prepared, although the breading didn't cling to the shrimp. This experience left us with mixed feelings. On the one hand, we appreciated the friendly, attentive service. Yet, on the other hand, we wonder whether it's worth going again, given the possibility of not getting all the ingredients for one's entree. We liked the ambiance, which evoked images of the beach. They have some nice paintings on one wall depicting the seashore, a lighthouse, and beach houses.
