Our first time to this location. Food is always delicious and servers a friendly and charming.

I loved First Watch's multigrain pancakes- until I bought their cookbook and made them myself. So many allergens; but what really blew me away was that the only "whole grains" in the huge bowl of batter is a 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds, and 1 or 2 tablespoons of corn meal- and it's in a bowl of batter that makes about twenty pancakes. We stopped in for the first time in a while and it was spectacular. Both of us got the trifecta with a regular waffle, scrambled eggs with cheese, and pork sausage. We couldn't help but try the Million Dollar Bacon and holy cow - it did not disappoint. All of the food tasted and looked marvelous. Our server was great and proactive with refills. Best OJ I've had in years. Definitely fulfilled their freshly-squeezed promise. We were full and happy. Only complaint would be that the cheese on the eggs was $1.69 up charge for both of us. I work in a restaurant too so I know to add anything costs more, but is a sprinkle of cheese worth almost $2 a person? Hmm... Also there was only one piece of sausage for each of us. Went on Saturday at 1:30pm, slow and only half full, left at 1:45pm bc NO ONE came to our table. We were right behind the hostess stand and even though she saw us several times and could easily see we had no drinks...which should lead someone to realize no one had been to greet/wait on our table. Obviously this place is run poorly b/c plenty of wait staff cont to look at us but no one offered any help or apparently notified our server. We will never go back!! read more

Great service, excellent food, courteous staff nice and clean location, reasonable prices.

In a time when so many restaurants have been struggling with getting help, and rough service as a result, these guys have it going on. The food comes fresh, quick, hot and tasty. The design is clean, airy and friendly. Those aren't the restaurant's best qualities, however. The best thing about it is the service. The staff is incredibly friendly, without being overly so, and very much on point with covering your every need. Typically it takes wait staff a while to learn how best to treat customers and the fact that they are young and still excellent is a testament to the restaurant's hiring and training practices. Even though it's a chain restaurant, it feels like a one of a kind local restaurant. The staff is great and they bring plenty of coffee without waiting. We were excited to try this location having been to the Cary location on birthdays before. Inside vibe was cafe like, bright and airy. Initially, we weren't excited about the menu and had a hard time choosing something. I settled on the elevated egg sandwich while daughter got market veggie sandwich And broccoli cheddar soup. We were blown away. It was all amazing and we are likely to even go back in the next couple days. Christie our server was outstanding - personable and helpful. She even brought a special syrup for our iced tea that made it really unique. We had been looking forward to this treat for my daughters bday and I felt like she went above and beyond to make it special- even though we didn't mention it was an occasion. Great location and we look forward to supporting it as much as we can. Will be going back for the dishes we just tried and to try the lemon ricotta pancakes! read more

I came here twice while visiting North Carolina and left very happy! I always get excited when restaurants have flavored coffee creamer and leave you the pitcher of coffee. The cinnamon roll with toast crunch cereal was really yummy and pretty large. I got a sausage and cheese omelette the first visit and then the bacon and avocado omelette the second time. I like that they let you modify your meal and don't seem to get annoyed. The prices are a little much but when you see the amount of food you get it's worth it. It's very busy so if you can go later in the day that seems to be the better option. My waitresses both did a great job and got my order right. I definitely will come back if I visit again! read more

Yelp review covid-19 addition! As someone that takes social distancing, and mask wearing pretty seriously... I was not pleased. We walked in to a loud environment that seemed over crowded for covid-19. I had expected to wait a little while, and I would've been glad to do so, but was instead seated right away. Within minutes of being seated they sat a couple at the table that was 3 feet away from my small family group. When I mentioned something to the waitress she went and got her manager. He moved us to a different table, that was still not 6 ft away from others, until my family physically moved it. They had a cup of individual packaged salt and pepper on the table, which defeats the purpose of having them individually wrapped, because someone's had their mask off and was breathing all over those communal items. They also had bottles of ketchup that they were passing around- even if they wiped them off, they aren't wiping the area that the ketchup comes out of, which is bad news bears. Honestly, the restaurant should either remove tables, or mark tables as off limits. I certainly do not feel like they take their customers safety seriously. The food was decent enough. However, if you're a southerner stay away from the grits( you shouldn't have to chew grits!). The waiter was unable to hear my full order, and I ended up having to wait for a rushed dish after I sent the wrong one back. My rushed breakfast was tasty, but not as tasty as it was at the Cary location, I'm assuming that is because it was rushed. Food 7 out of 10, environment 3 out of 10. read more

We love going to First Watch in Cary. Great food and great service there. We wanted to check this new location. We had one of the worst experiences. The service was very bad. The server never got us water (we asked for it), never checked on us, never got us the napkins that was requested. The table sitting next to us didn't get food on time (we both were seated almost simultaneously). We liked the decor and the environment inside. Yes, they have good selection of food. My humble request is to provide proper training to their service staffs. People go out to eat not only for food and environment inside the restaurant but also for experience. I was so excited to have a breakfast spot in Apex. The food was terrible....no taste and the order was wrong...they completely missed one of the meals. Makes me even more sad that Metro Diner had backed out of that location because that would have been a much better option than First Watch. Even though they are directly behind my house, I will drive the 35 min each way to Metro Diner in Raleigh for breakfast rather than waste money at First Watch. read more

Went to the new(ish) first watch on 55 with my hubs and kids for Saturday brunch. Crowded but seated fast our server was amazing the menu was unique and large food came out fast. What more could you ask. Mexican street corn hash was spot on! read more

In a word- perfect. Busy Sunday for lunch yet we were seated right away. Our server Chase was awesome- friendly but not fake, attentive but not pushy. And the food- YUM!!! Every component was perfect- fluffy omelette, avocado perfectly ripe, bacon delicious. Even the simple greens side salad was excellent. My son had the farmers hash and it was excellent as well. If I didn't have to give a star I wouldn't. I didn't even make it to ordering food. We asked for coffee. I asked if the creamers that were on the table were fresh. I was told by my waitress they weren't, as they were having problems getting them. Then why keep them on the table? She then told me she could bring me half and half. I said yes. She arrived back with it, I proceeded to pour it into my coffee and big clumps fell in to it. OMG, I almost got so sick. This wasn't fresh either. I told her about it. She said I can get your more half and half and make sure it is poured fresh, and not sitting in a plastic container. Wow!! This is a real problem. What is going on here. People can get so sick on spoiled milk and you are giving this out to your customers. I was so sickened by this, I took my family and left. First Watch used to be my place to go. The managers need to address this issue ASAP. read more

First Watch has truly set the bar high as far as breakfast and brunch. I'm happy to have the new location here in Apex just a hop skip and a jump from my house and work. A perfect location for the Beaver Creek shopping area, offices, and homes. You really are missing out if you don't go see this amazing building, staff, and the most wide,perfect, variety of breakfast foods. Did I mention they have a full bar? Mimosa with fresh squeezed OJ?
