Mark and his crew are phenomenal. They are always happy to accommodate me on short notice for maintenance for my vehicle and keep me informed while it's being serviced. As I was dropping off my vehicle, I told Mark that someone told me I should look into my vehicle's transmission due to a sound they heard. Mark himself drove my vehicle around the block after my maintenance service was completed to see if there are any issues. He later informed me that he did not observe anything wrong and that my vehicle was fine. Why is it that every time my partner goes to get his tires fixed and you guys somehow always manage to mess up his lug nuts? When he received the call regarding the lug nuts, my partner explained that that's the second time with the same issue with Firestone at the same location. The guy responds saying "well there are new brake pads so it had to be the last mechanic," which is such a pathetic response and the fact that the guy had to study the brake pads so that he can throw it back in his face. read more

Had repair issues with my usual tire place. Made the call to Firestone and got quick, decisive answers. Got a respectable deal on two much needed front tires, and a quote on replacing a faulty sensor. They did the job on time, charged me what I was quoted, and fixed my sensor so the warning light FINALLY is off! Did some driving in the light rain the day after completion, and wow, the improvement in traction and performance was astounding. So happy I was councelled into purchasing the correct tires. I had some work done on my car earlier this year and they were so patient in explaining to me what was happening with my car and what my options were. The worst customer service in the entire country!! I've gone to many Firestone (in Texas, North Dakota, and locally in San Diego) but since this is closer to where I recently moved to, I thought it would be cheaper for the Uber ride home. Well, I will start with how rude the store reps are, I'm addition to being rude, they lied about their timeframes three times. When I called on Saturday to set an appointment, the guy said that it would be an hour or two to run diagnostics, when I dropped it off he said three, it took over four. He called to give an update and said he could get the parts tomorrow & have the car ready for tomorrow night. Worst service possible! I took 4 tires & rims to be mounted on the rims then to be placed on my car. Manager tells me that they are a bit busy & in order to not wait around to leave the rims & tires so they could mount them and balance them before swapping out the tire sets. I leave for an hour only to come back & see 5 techs twiddling their thumbs & guess what? No tires where mounted in the rims! This was at 4:15pm & he promised me that they would be done by 4:45. I tell him I'm not happy at all, I tell him to give me back the tires & rims & that I'm taking my business elsewhere, he then tells me that I signed a contract with them & that they have to do them, now he's holding me hostage for my items! To which my response was that if I'm staying he's doing the work at a discount for lying to me & telling me that the tires would be mounted by the time I got back! So now I'm looking at 5 techs all trying to figure out how to raise my car on the lift( my vehicle is lowered) all he had to do was screw down the pads on the lift arms, over inflate the tires or just use a normal jack! Instead I got 5 techs looking like monkeys trying to put a cylinder in a square! Plus they put 3 of the tires facing the wrong way in the rims! I needed a OEM part that costs $360 at Oreillys, $430 from Lexus dealer themselves, and you know how much this location was trying to charge for the same part?? $800 which is DOUBLE the cost. I understand adding a little to the price for profit but DOUBLING it ? Especially in the middle of this pandemic where times are hard for most of us?? That's bad ownership on behalf of this business and completely a scam. When I tried to address this to the worker they simply said 'Come pick up your car then.' Very rude and dull employees. I got an appointment at the FireStone on Lake Murray who quoted a price of $480 for the part and $900 out the door compared to the $1500 I was looking at the El Cajon Location. I waited two hours and 20 minutes for a simple tire patch. The customer service representative was annoyed, and I chose to wait in the lobby for my car to be serviced. Because I had no ride to get home. The store had no available restroom for paying customers. I was directed to go to the Jack in the box, next door, to use the restroom during a down pour of rain and was told the restrooms were only for paying customers. El Cajon on 2nd street isn't a good area of town and is saturated with homeless people. It is located where lots of the homeless people frequent inside Jack in the box lobby for shelter from the element and is not safe. As loyal customers, the restroom should be accessible to paying customers. Lastly, it was extremely cold in the store. I waited two hours, 20 minutes during a down pouring of rain and extremely uncomfort due to cold weather. read more

I called today 1/28/2024 at 445pm asking if I would need an appointment to possibly repair a flat tire. It's Sunday and they close at 600pm. Let's be honest here it is way too easy for a business especially in the auto repair business to say we are busy can you call tomorrow? That was not the case here. I spoke to Mark the service manager. He said if you can bring the car in on or before 530pm we'll take care of you. Mind you I still needed to wait for a tow to get me there so time is ticking. Luckily today was my lucky day. AAA got to me in less than 20 minutes ( another fine surprise) and towed my car to the shop before 530pm. Let me tell you I've never experienced such great service from anyone in my adult years. No exaggeration. Mark was so honest and said let's look at it and I hope to repair it. Unfortunately, my flat was caused by a drill bit at least 4 inches long. Imagine that Mark even apologized for not being able to repair it as the hole was way too big. Spending money on a new tire on Sunday is not the ideal end to my weekend but somehow that does not matter since I received such great customer service. I came in to get a patch for my tire, I parked my car at the only open bay as all the other bays were empty. As soon as I got out of the car, a very nice employee approached me and instantly started helping me with the problem. However when I went inside to pay, the other guy in a blue shirt inside started to tell me I would need to wait 2 hours for the quick fix. I was confused because his employee was already working on my car and he's telling me something different. When I mentioned to him that the employee was working on the car already he immediately stepped out and started shouting at the employee to stop. I have never experienced such a rude customer service from any tire shop I have ever went to compared to this one. It definitely was my last time ever going there. The gentleman in the blue shirt deserves to be fired due to his extremely rude attitude and laziness. I was ready to pay as a customer for some thing that was almost done and he chose to stop that service. I strongly recommend going to one of the tire shops on Douglas as they will do it in only 5 mins for much cheaper. It was only a 2-3minute drive from that location. read more

Made an appointment for an alignment on my vehicle. Took the morning off of work to facilitate that appointment, was told the service takes about an hour. Once I arrived on time for my appointment they told me it would take them 4 and a half hours since they had other cars. What's the point of my appointment? If you're booked up don't schedule me for that time slot maybe? Called back to figure out what happened and reschedule, got placed on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. So I took my car here for oil change and new tires. They added coolant as well but then 2 days later my hoses burst on my car they wanted to charge me labor and parts for that I had to fight to get labor taken off then after that 5 days later my water pump goes down so all in less then 2 weeks of taking my car here just for an oil change and new tires they filled my coolant up and my cooling system goes down and they say it's not their fault and make me pay to get it fixed when after a year and a half of having the car I had zero issues. Synthetic oil changes are close to $100. This place takes way too long for everything. I had to change my 6-month-old son in the lobby because they have the bathroom OUT OF ORDER. So my trucks brakes were shot... bad. I take it to Firestone they take two days to diagnose. It needs pads, of course, rotors were shot and two calipers were toast ok then. They quote me 2,300.00 !!! With the caviot that the master cylinder might be bad too! So that's another 500.00 for a piece of plastic Tupperware !!! Now the parts through AutoZone, not exactly wholesale would run me 695.00 sooooooo either theyre charging 1500.00 for labor or they're GOUGING on the parts price ??? Well it's the parts labor was 460.00 so the same AutoZone parts that would cost me 695.00 Firestone was trying to charge me over 1600.00 for the parts that's 900.00 profit nice margin if you fall for it !!!! I got the job done by a better local mechanic for under 1300.00 same parts for 800.00 so a small mark up no problem and great work by an honest mechanic who threw in a few extras at no cost !!! Excellent in our book. We had break work done on our Kia Soul 2017 and as of today they worked on our phenomenal 1997 Toyota Camry 200,000 plus. Unfortunately a belt broke. We had it towed here before 7 am. I was calling ahead to leave a message and Michael answered the call, it was about 2 mins before 7. That to me is an awesome employee, understanding of other people's urgency to help with vehicle. Laith and Michael are personable, efficient,respectful with great custom service assistance. Called on Saturday to see about getting a wheel bearing replaced because you had to press it out and in was told if I dropped it off on Sunday they could do it Monday. So I took it down dropped it off at 1 on Sunday and was told I should have it back before they closed. I also told them to do an oil change too. Too my surprise I received a call at 330 saying my vehicle was almost finished but the oil pan nut was cross threaded and they didn't want to strip it to remove it. I thanked them for the call and told them I'd take it to jiffy lube since they did the last oil change and they can fix their screw up. I then received another call an hour later saying my car was done and ready for pick up. Amazing service and workmanship plus they were $700 cheaper the Pep Boys and about $100 cheaper then Evan's. Great customer service. I've been getting oil changes and tires here for years. They send coupons so you always save some money, even though their prices are reasonable anyway, and they have a price match guarantee on tires. Everyone there is pleasant to deal with. They do recommend things (upselling) but they don't put any pressure on you to get extra services done. They just tell you about things they noticed that you might want to be aware of. Don't expect to be in and out for an oil change necessarily - they take their time, inspect and explain things to you, which I really value.
