Whilst driving to San Diego in summer's heat, I found myself blissfully lost in the consumer paradise my country has gone to such lengths to ensure is at the grasp of my fingertips. My phenomenally high powered A/C made the scorching heat outside seem laughable. The size of the cup of soda in my cupholder was once banned in New York City. Meanwhile my massive vehicle burned quantities of gasoline that would make life immeasurably more difficult for generations to come. Nevertheless, I pushed on. I accelerated harder, I turned up the A/C and I took another sip of that sugary soda. I was on top. There was no limit. I was king. I was going to arrive in San Diego on time, ice cold, and with blood sugar levels through the roof. Suddenly I saw a warning light appear on my dashboard display indicating that my tire pressure was low. My illusion of being in a consumer paradise fell before my eyes like Icarus, son of Daedalus, fell from the sky when he flew too close to the sun. I was going to be late. I started questioning who I was and my values. Why didn't I budget more time to arrive? Am I becoming my father? Would I ever go back to school? Things could never go back to how they were before that dashboard warning light came on. Turns out I had a slow leak in my tire. I looked up this place online and was amazed by how quick the service was. The guy working was also super friendly. The price was also super reasonable. I highly recommend this place. read more

I called around to many tire shops to price tires for my MotorHome and was shocked at how much some places were quoting me for tires that are just gonna rot before they are worn down.. Mark was very helpful and friendly. He gave me an honest opinion on what I need based on how much the RV is gonna be driven. Gave me the best price around for a decent set of tires that didn't break my wallet. Installed all 6 of the tires while I waited and was done in under 2 hours. Pretty cool place to. Has a Koi pond made from recycled materials, genius. And looks like they are in the process of creating another fish area. Definitely referring all my RV friends to this place for tires. I needed an alignment check for my Winnebago Navion as the manufacturer recommended this be done once we had the RV loaded for travel. Mr. Ramos took me right away and checked the alignment. He said it was within specifications and didn't need a full alignment. He just charged me the $85 labor fee for an alignment check and I was back on the road (about one hour total). He told me how important it is to him that he acts honestly, makes things right if needed, and works hard to keep customers happy ("only takes a second to lose a customer but takes months to keep one"). The place looks a little rough around the edges, but the people are great and so are the prices. read more

Looking for a good used tire, cheap or fair price, good tread, speedy service.? It used to be here.... First review had I remembered to write it would have been a 4 star. I went today to get a tire and I felt like they were trying to bamboozle me. The tire i wanted was a 285/45 R19. anyone who knows a bit about tires knows this is an odd one. hell i know it. well the guy that was gonna sell me a "good" used tire brings out an unevenly worn tire and says 45 dollars, i point out that the tire tread had some uneven tread and he had a blank stare,.. i say umm, ok great, i will go somewhere else?, ... ok.. uh bye, so he turns around and says ok. walks away. peeuu. First two times were great compared to this time and i wont be back. i mean really... i dont need to be a man to know a junk tire when i look at it, or be a tire expert, what a jerk. my one extra star is for the service before which at this point is not worth mentioning. read more

My experience at Ramos Tire was enlightening. We've done business for years but something set off the owner whether it was him having a bad day or a previous customer. Whatever the reason there is no excuse for being called a c u Next Tuesday. It came out of nowhere or a strange misunderstanding communicated from the wife. We were called for a mere $45 bill and insults started there from a previous encounter of being overcharged by over $100. I will tell you I am from the old school that you have the right to refuse service to anyone but there is no need to throw out insults and name calling without being able to get a word in edgewise. I will never be going back to poor quality tires and rude ownership. read more
