This review is LONG overdue! I've been coming to Winxton Tire Company for a little over 3 years now, so I probably should've written this a long time ago. I have three cars, and I bring all of them here. Pistol Pete has taken care of me every single time. Pete is honest, knowledgeable, and never tries to sell you something you don't need. He earned my trust since day 1, and that means a lot when it comes to your vehicles. I trust this place enough to send my family and friends here without hesitation. Pistol Pete and Winxton Tire Company have my business for the long haul. Highly recommend!! read more

I can't say enough good things about the service we received. My 19-year-old son (Jake), a college student at nearby San Diego State University, unexpectedly needed a new tire and was on a tight schedule. Pete from Winxton Tire went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of quickly and professionally. As a parent, it's reassuring to know there are still people who genuinely care and are willing to help a young customer navigate an unexpected situation. He treated my son with kindness, respect, and honesty, explained everything clearly, and got him safely back on the road much faster than we expected. Exceptional customer service like this deserves to be recognized. Thank you Pete for making what could have been a stressful experience so much easier. We truly appreciate your professionalism and willingness to help, and we'll definitely be recommending this tire shop to friends and family! read more

Pete and Danny did a great job with my truck. I purchased 33 x 12.5 tires for my 24s and Winxton Tires was willing and able to accommodate me; mounting and installation w/new TPMS. Pete is an owner who is passionate about his business; asking questions and informing me about issues along the way instead of just pushing through, taking my money and sending me out the door. I appreciate his candid and honest approach. read more

Very knowledgeable and honest , if you're in SD this is the place to go . I recommend this place amd he even shows and explains what's best

During last summer I purchased a set of new tires at Walmart for my Subaru- and while I did pay for balancing and rotations, it has been near impossible to get it done there. I was given 2-3 hour wait times just for a tire rotation. I said hell no. I could do it myself, but these days it hurts more.. What did I do? What do you think?? I searched Yelp and found this gem. Yes! Yelp comes through again! So I came here, and there was no wait at all. And they were the best price around at 15$(cash only)for the tire rotation. Deal! Most places are about $20-25 for same service. Hard to beat. Here, I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Problem solved, especially when I don't have the time or patience to wait hours. Even though I had to open the wallet, it was worth it. read more

What happens when you are a procrastinator and wait last moment to switch your tires? You get a slip and slide on the road and thankfully I happen to run into a Facebook ad for a set of 4 Michelin tires. Winxton tire shop was the only one open on a Sunday in my neighborhood and I'm glad Pistol Pete was able to help me upgrade my tires for new and better grip ones. The lady in the front desk Rebecca took the time to explain to me about the rotations I have after I hit a certain mileage. I will be coming back, it's all about supporting your local small businesses!! read more

I called 5 different big name tire shops closer to my home but none carried the high performance tires I needed for my car. They all had to order them from out of the area and wait until the following week to install them. I called Pete at Winxton who said he could have the exact tires I needed in his shop in 1 hour. And the price was better than the other big name shops. I showed up and was out the door in 20 minutes!! Super nice and very professional guys! Winxton Tire is the best tire in San Diego County. The owner Pete and his helper are the most professional tire and wheel specialist you will find. I wanted to go bigger on tire size with new wheels, but was unsure if the tires would fit. Pete made sure to do a test fit to make sure the tires and wheels would fit snug and not rub on the fender. The price was definitely cheaper than anywhere else by over $200. I would highly recommend Winxton Tire to anyone looking for wheels or tires. Pete is the guy to see for all you tire and wheel needs. It's nice to come across a local business that is so down to earth, honest, engaging and kind. My husband and I came in after being referred from our mechanic to get new tires. The owner, Peter, was welcoming, informative, honest and efficient. He quoted us tires, which the prices were very reasonable, and told us that he would be able to complete the job in 30-40 minutes. WHAT??? I don't have to leave my car for hours?? I'm sold! I am thankful for the referral, and plan on coming here for all my tire needs. read more

Bought 4 rims and 4 tires, the tires were fine, but the one who installed the rims damaged them by using a wrong size socket key. The area inside with the lug nuts is all scratched up and is very noticeable. I got in contact with them several times but they refused to compensate for their mistake. read more

It was raining. I got a flat. I did not have the tools to change the tire. I was stranded on the street. I called a few tire shops close to where I was to see if maybe, maybe they might come out to me, and they flat out refused (no pun intended). Then I called Winxton Tires, and spoke with Rebecca. From the beginning, she was polite and attentive. I explained my situation and asked if someone could come to my location. In a nutshell, her husband and shop owner, Pete, came out to change my tire with my spare. It took all of 10 minutes. Like Rebecca, Pete was friendly and polite. I followed him to his shop and got all new tires that I admit, I needed. The tire prices were more or less as expected, but the real difference was in the level of service. From the beginning, both Rebecca and Pete were professional and courteous. It was a pleasure doing business with them and Pete went above and beyond by driving to me. I realize this is not a usual practice for tire shops and don't think Pete is on the business of making house calls, but he was so kind to do it for me that I am very grateful to him and I will recommend their tire shop to everyone. Speaking of ... The tire shop itself is a modest business but very clean, and again, Rebecca at the cashier station made me feel comfortable and at ease. She offered me water or juice while I waited for my new tires to be put on. I really have nothing but great things to say about Winxton Tires and my experience with them from start to finish. So, thank you both, Pete and Becky! You have a new customer! read more
