Cliff notes: Warning don't do business with Ryan. Do not trust him. He does not back up his work, offer any guarantee, and takes cash for this very reason. If you want quality work, please move on don't have him do the job (you'll be sorry if you really care about your vehicle). Don't even read any further, this will be all you'll need to know. The following paragraph is funny yet shocking. Here are some fun examples of what he will say to you by text. (He is a coward and won't answer his phone BTW). "That clearly I picked the wrong customer to try to help out by touching up the wheel. lesson learned." "You tried to greedy and have me repair other things wrong with the wheel". "I back up my work, but you tried to take a freebie from me". This is coming from a wheel expert that actually damaged my wheel further. Don't waste your money he will try to turn this somehow (in confusion) as your fault. It was total of $550 dollars for one wheel. He repaired my wheel sloppy to just get the cash. From my perspective as a customer: I picked wheel Revivers to do the work not the other way around. I would expect anyone to take on the work to repair the entire wheel and deliver quality work. I paid Ryan very good money ($550) to perform the work and expect a steller job. End of cliff notes. *Here's the details if you want to read on or if your nosey like my girlfriend)...... I emailed Ryan to do a repair on a slightly bent wheel on my custom 3-piece front wheel (pictured) from hitting a pothole in my mustang. He agreed to do the work for $450 to repair the bend take the tire off and put the tire back on the wheel. He came to my place downtown and picked it up at 9am. Text me at close to 4pm that same day asking if I was home, he would drop this off. Came off desperate for the cash but I ignored this. I asked at this time if the work damaged the red powder coating on the lip bend repair by text. He told me he had to burned the area sent a pic, and I could pay $100 more to paint, and he would touch this up. Total cost was $450 for the bend and $100 for touch up from the repair area. At 9am the following day I met Ryan and got the wheel returned. I inspected it and the bend looked good and from a far the paint match looked ok. I had to get the wheel back on and be at 10am to work. Gave him $550. I checked the quality of the work on my lunch break at 2:30pm in the sun and there were nicks on the top of the lip where the tire meets the rim. Looked to me that his was from the tire machine and or from the lathe to take out the bend. I let him know and sent him pictures. He told me the repair may have not cured and paint must have rubbed off from putting on the tire. He offered a paint dab touch up which is unacceptable (I'm not an expert but I can certainly dab paint). I also pointed out that there were more damage nicks where the repair was not done. At no time did he warn me that this would happen or the $100 touch up would not be good. One: the paint had orange peel and is rough. Two: there also where nicks were on the top of the lip nowhere close where the paint was performed. I've been in the wheel industry, and I know tire machines. If the machines are not touchless, they can damage the wheel especially the outer lip. I'm assuming, he went somewhere cheap that was not touchless put on the tire to save more money for his pockets. If my assumption is not correct, then he just did a poor job. There was no damage that was not the lips before the repair. Quite frankly I detail my own car and know every nook and cranny. I had these lip powder costed twice last summer because I'm so so picky. Tire was put on from a touchless machine and they never been handled again until Ryan fumble fingers (or the cheap tire shop) messed them up. I let him know that the nix/dab fix was unacceptable, and this is where the conversation went sideways (texts also included for the super nosey). He blamed me as a customer that it was my fault for not noticing this when he dropped it off and I must have done the damage not him. Again he does not guarantee his work at all!!! I'll tell you it would be nearly impossible for me to damage the inside and outside of the lip by installing on this on my Mustang. This is unplausible by any engineering standards. Plus, Ryan admitted he must have missed it. In the end he told me that "I tried to greedy and have me repair other things wrong with the wheel". He also told me "I backed up my work, but I'm tried to take a freebie from me". That "clearly pick the wrong customer to try to help out by touching up the wheel. lesson learned." His response to this is going to be that I'm at fault he did me a favor and I'm just a picky customer. Well, I certainly am picky in the quality of work if you're the expert preforming it. Again, I can't wait to see the response it may be just as preposterous as his text (again you should read them). read more
